Realistic or Modern Remnants of Man [Zombie Apocalypse Rp]

Madge Beth Valeran

"I eat shitehawks like you for breakfast... with no milk."

At the notion of being married, Madge cackled to the point where her denchers did fall out. However, she grabbed them just in time before they managed to leave her mouth completely. She snapped them in before replying, "nah, Missus. My mister kicked the bucket a long time ago. Good riddance to rotten trash, I say," she nodded.

Not one to sit down and seem old and feeble, she shuffled to the nearest wall and leaned. She listened quietly, for once in her seventy-four years of life, and spoke up when she heard Tall Glass of Whiskey 1's idea of flying. "Heeeeell no am I gettin' in one of them contraptions. Why, they're like rats with wings. There isn't much separating you from the ground airborne." Truth be told, Madge abhorred heights with a passion. It was like Gale Hibbins on steroids or a pack of mangy dogs... hated it. She would've rambled on with her fear if it weren't or Tall Glass of Whiskey 2 putting in her two cents. Ah, why didn't she think of that? She shrugged and decided to blame it on age. "Or maybe we'll go down there and find him hiding in the shitter. In these horror flicks, you never know."

The offer of a cigarette is akin to offering one's soul to Madge. With a wicked grin she snatched the cigarette clean out of his hand. Either she'd die from the mangy dead drunkards outside or she'd die by lung cancer. She'd already paraded around with the zombies so why not push lung cancer possibilities up there so that they had more of a chance to best her?

When she puffed that beautiful cancer stick, she ascended to heaven. Metaphorically of course. She sucked it in like oxygen and reveled in the ashen taste. Cigarette was shit, a cheap brand by her tastes, but she suckled on it nonetheless.

Boyd Killman

Boyd chuckled at Miss Valerans response. Of course she would be afraid of heights. Planes were barely a thing when she was alive. Boyd chuckled at his own internal joke. It wasn't out of the ordinary for someone to be afraid of heights, not to mention the odds were exactly terrible. Boyd however, did make a 'not bad' expression as he saw Miss Valeran inhale the smoke like hooker did coke. It was nice to have someone else with a habit.

As Boyd inhaled his cigarette he exhaled looking up at the hatch. The light shining through making his smoke more apparent. He needed eyes up there and the quickest way was for someone to climb.

"Madison would you mind climbing up and getting a lookout. ? You can climb up I'll push you off from my shoulders. " Boyd held his cigarette in his mouth as he assumed a lifting position. Slightly bending the knees and placing his hands in a cup shape he awaited the females response.

Kira

Kira sighed, mostly from boredom. She was getting tired of this random driving around.

Banging on the hood of the truck she spoke up

"Yo braveheart, any idea where this trip is heading?"

She asked as she was now fed up with waiting. This pace was too slow for her.

Standing up, she promptly jumped from the truck and body rolled .

She knew she did not have a lot of time before the undead began to swarm the area.

She followed the direction the ice queen had gone in. Making sure to remain quiet and not alert anyone of her travels.

She was soon in an area that looked to have a few warehouses and garages.

Calling out she looked around.

"Anyone here?"

Maddison Clarke

Maddison took a cigarette from Boyd, lighting it on his. She wasn't an avid smoker or anything, it could prevent her from having good enough long strength to complete some of her thefts. She took a couple of long drags, letting the calming effects take over her. She smiled softly when Madge explained her fear of heights, finding the old woman quite interesting to have around. She was like the badass grandmother Maddison always wanted but never had. All of her grandparents died long before she was born. Maddison looked up when Boyd spoke to her, meeting his gaze before eying the hatch in the roof. It wasn't too terribly high, and she could reach the rafter with a simple boost. "Yeah I can get up there," she stated.

Maddison held the cigarette between her lips, stepping into Boyd's hands and pushing off his shoulders to give herself enough boost to grab the rafter. Once she had ahold of it, she pulled herself gracefully on top of it, like a gymnast getting on a balance beam. She easily balanced herself, walking down the rafter, and pushed the hatch door open. Again, she hefted herself through the hole onto the metal roof and looked around. All without dropping the cigarette. She took a drag, seeing the caravan of survivors still down the road with Mac not too far from it. The other direction showed a swarm of creatures headed toward the caravan. Maddison was about to report to Boyd when she heard a voice call out. Maddison leaned back into the hatch and said, "Got a survivor I met in that caravan down the road outside the door. A swarm of those zombies are headed directly for it, so we might want to call Mac back ASAP."

Kira

Of course leaving the little convoy had back fired soon after wards.

The undead had spotted her and her shout out had caught their attention.

Keeping them in her line of sight, her pistol was out firing at any that ventured too close.

Her aim was on point enough to hit dead centre at any head close enough to reach her.

However they were starting to back her into a corner.

With a growl she began shooting point blank regardless of how close they were.

As she emptied the rounds in her pistol, her free hand reached for her baseball bat.

Putting the gun away she looked around for anything she could climb onto for a vantage point.

Boyd Killman

"Tell them to swing by the front. Mac can take care of himself. He knows when to quit. " Boyd yelled back as he grabbed the chains of the bay doors.

Before he lifted them he looked at Miss Valeran and her crowbar.

"Watch my back Miss Valeran if you would. " Boyd pointed at the bottom of the bay door as he would only open it a bit.

"Tell them to roll is Madison " Boyd yelled again as he opened the Bay door slightly

Jackson "Mac" MacMillan

Mac was starting down the street in the direction of the other group heading down the road. He was still surprised at how many people were showing up. He hoped the explosion hadn't immobilized whatever they may have been traveling in. Then, a few gunshots ripped through the air. It made him jump a little bit they broke the silence so abruptly. "Fuck." He said as he began to run down the street. He thought anyone with common sense would know not to shoot into a hoard. Maybe he was wrong.

Donnee smiled, as he walked towards his car, getting the cop, "we got places to go" he finished, walking towards the garage, keeping an eye for the lady who had evaded them. Donnee kept at a slow pace, untill he heard gun shots go off, then he proceeded to walk a little faster, keeping the cop behind him. As soon as he got there, he walked in, cop behind, and closed the door shut, leaning against the wall nearby and speaking, "well, isn't this a party, mind if we join" he finished, pointing towards the cop, "also, he might be mute"

"Got it," Maddison responded, turning to slide to the edge of the roof. She heard gun shots and yelled down the hatch to Boyd, "Close the door, we might have uninvited guests." She then moved quickly towards the sound of the gunshots, jumpinga roof top to land just above Kira. She noticed the girl was backed into a corner, surroundedby those bloodthirsty creatures. The roof was too high for her to simply reach down and grab the girl, but she saw a fire escape not too far away.  Maddison moved over to it, climbing down on the emergency ladder so her weight pulled it to ground level. It creaked under her weight, obviously rusted from lack of use. Maddison met gazes with Kira and waved her over. "Up here. I doubt these things have the muscle coordination to climb. "

RICHIE NICOLETTI

His uniform was destroyed; the beige had given away to black soot and torn shreds from before. A band-aid went across his bleeding nose as he climbed out of the only remaining window that hadn’t given way to the bellowing fire that erupted behind him. He had to climb out or risk becoming charred to a crisp. Moans echoed in the fire, and as he tried to squeeze out of the window, he noticed a lurching shape; aflame and stumbling towards him, snarling and moaning wildly against the roar of flickering flames.

“Jesu—“ he pulled himself out and fell for a moment. His shoulder slammed hard onto the roof the building below by two stories—a convenience store or something. He laid there for a moment, and then let out a sigh and felt the hot rush of pain flare in his shoulder. “My good shootin’ arm,” he said through gritted teeth. “Why am I so stupid?”

KAMAR MAURICIO REYES

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tu42VMSZV8o (atmosphere).

There was a disconsolate overcast, the dim lour of the skies were tainted with a decadent poison, stained with lurid streaks of which the sun wearily struggled through. These infertile intrusions procured merely a simmer of gleaming lustre, whilst the silvery veil of clouds seamlessly drifted through the sky, Kamar's thoughts harmonized with this gradual, gentle sway. His eyes were lulled into a drowsy burn, the ambling shuffle of undead corpses below saturate the depraved undercurrent with tormented, howling murmurs. There was a certain sensation of aghast riled up within him, yet Kamar dismissed these maturing symptoms. Where Kamar perched himself was within the abandoned, vacated premise of the 12th floor in some forsaken building, situated at a vantage point where he could survey the hobbling limp of one specific horde as it continuously migrate south, approaching his observation post. Kamar glimpsed over the concrete pasture, discerning few cadavers that lay still and limp in the streets. There was a baked, velvet cruor that plastered the pavement and blemished the walls of a local convenience store. Its degraded, flickering neon sign that once delicately illuminated the sidewalk was nothing but dormant. Once, it intrigued the casual stoner, ogling the varied array and assortment of candy, proudly presented on display. It was the grossly incandescent charm that fascinated an easily-impressed child - and a sweet-tooth at that. Now? A mere, fragmented grey outline that still formed the hibernating array 'STORE OPEN - FRESH GOODS'.

Kamar placed an unwilling elbow upon the fractured surface, parallel to the tripod of his M14 sniper rifle (which he accustomed as such), his clenched fist pressured to his cheek, slightly skewing his lips and overlaying his left cheek partially over his eye. His head seeked the comfort of this posture, right arm loosely dangled between the delta formation of his legs. His jaded gaze washed over the town, a prolonged sigh exhaled through his agape mouth. Then his eyes began to laden their sleep-inducing invigoration, prompting him to close and rest them.

Kamar unmounted the tripod, placing the rifle to one side of the room, then tucking himself within his bedroll, cosily positioned under the table. The room was barren. The door barred shut with a stubborn mountain of furniture. Walls bleak as fuck. (great description luka)

Kamar was abruptly awoken from his slumber, his irritance seethed though simmered. There were multiple gunshots that rang out, reverberating amidst the hills and reflecting off the walls. It rolled up and down the building before gradually draining out. Kamar went back to sleep. Or so he attempt.

With an exasperated exhalation, Kamar propped a receiver beside his radio, tuned to falter between channels unless hindered manually.

He await any radio transmission.

Boyd Killman

All he needed was a warning. As soon as he heard Madison's he let go of the pulley system for the bay doors. The doors came down only a few feet shutting off any chance of entry. To assist Madison and himself with the hatch, Boyd pushed a desk under the hatch making the fall and reach much shorter.

Boyd too this time of helplessness to make sure all doors were locked and secure. He knew the bay doors could hold and so could rhs windows. The back door was steel and openes outwards. The main lobby door was the problem. It had lobby chairs and other items barricading it but Boyd felt it wasn't enough.

Boyd began to formulate a plan, grabbing a Dolly, he used it to carry two lockers in front of the door. Blacing them along with the furniture. This would hold, and if they did break the door it would take them at least a few hours to cram through the barricade.

Jackson looked up to the rooftops and saw the younger woman who entered the garage. She seemed to me running to the gunshots. Good, he wasn't going in alone. He approached the corner where the gunshots were coming from. Through the shambling zombies he saw another woman holding a baseball bat, teeing off on the heads of the undead. He got to an angle were the shots wouldn't hit the girl, and started shooting. Taking multiple out with each shot, they cleaned up quickly. He pointed up to where the woman who he let in the garage and said "Listen to her. I'll cover you." He turned and started shooting some more. Then he ran out, fired some more and yelled out as loud as he could "COME AND GET ME YOU DUMB FUCKS!". Almost all the zombies in sight made their way to him. Then he took off to the other side of the street. He hoped the distraction gave the girls enough time to get on the roof and back to the garage.

He stumbled through the streets, slipping past shambling corpses at every turn. How long had he been running at this point? His lungs burned as hot as the building he’d barely just clawed his way out of. His shoulder, if it could talk, would probably be cursing him. In the distance he heard gunfire and yells. The distant echo of a scream part-way sounded off. “—YOU DUMB FUCKS!”

He slipped through a mesh-wire fence and out into the clearing of a street; paper, cars, and corpses littered the grimy concrete roads. Up ahead, a small horde roared mixing into the cacophony of gunshots and yells. Oh God. He could see somebody up ahead trying to get the hordes attention, while others stumbled around. Why are you so stupid, Richie? You’re gonna die doing this shit. He stumbled down the street, his vision dimming; his breath controlled. This was not the smartest idea, but the hand-cannon that he’d yanked out of his dirty, torn pants would make a noise that could deafen an elephant.

He looked at the remnants of corpses splitting up and going both ways in the street. He aimed upwards and fired several shots that pierced the air with deafening roars and flashes of light.

White, soulless eyes turned on him then. "I swear if I survive this, I'll dance a fuckin' jig," he said to himself as he turned around, firing two more shots.

Jackson backed his way into an empty ally. He used the same ally to get onto the roofs before, and he's gonna use it again. He then heard more gunshots. They sounded too distant to be the girls. "Whoever is doing that is a fucking idiot. They're gonna get themselves killed." he said. He fired 3 more shots and then he heard a sound he wish he never did. Click, click, click. He was empty. "Looks like I'm using my voice" he said. He then shouted out as loud as he could again "COME ON, YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME!? LETS SEE WHAT YOU FUCKING GOT!". He then took out his knife and cut a few heads off. Stabbed a few more. Mac believed that he bought enough time for the girls to get away. He jumped up and grabbed onto the fire escape.  "HAHAHAHAHA, YOU CANT GET ME KNOW FUCKERS!" he yelled out. Just to over do it. He climbed up the ladder and got to the roof. He began walking to the edge of the building and looked down. There was a massive horde where he just was. "STUPID SON'S OF BITCHES!" he yelled down to them. They looked up with dead eyes and moaned some more. He got up and started running down the street towards the garage. The roofs were definitely better than the streets.

Carley Judge

- - -

Carley cursed quite loudly when the nearby vehicle explode, ducking her head as debris rained down on them and shards of metal flew forward. As the smoke cleared, her worried eyes darted from from Archie to the road as the tires of the truck hissed in agony. It seemed like her safety was going to be short-lived, because the truck wasn't going to be moving any time soon.

Whatever she did, she had to keep going. She wasn't going to panic, she wasn't going to be a drag or a nuicense, she would prove to the others - and herself - that she was capable of acting rationally in stressful situations. She would do all of this, of course, after she was able to have a good cry. Unfortunately, now wasn't the time. It seemed Archie had a general plan, and she had to trust him. There was a garage across the street where it seemed some survivors were holed up. Most of the others that had been in the truck had fled already, and now it was the her and the Scotsman's turn.

Still not having learned his name, Carley followed suit as the giant got out of the truck. She made sure to grab her things and take out her hammer, ready for a fight. The dead weren't upon them yet, but they weren't far off.

As she and Archie neared the garage door, she glanced at the crowd of undead slowly approaching them. Her eyes fell upon a woman in a tattered sundress with half an arm torn off, and at first she thought her eyes were playing tricks on her. The woman leading the pack of zombies looked just like her mother. Then, with a shudder and cry of horror, she realized it was no trick. Her mother's familiar pearl anklet glinted in the sun. Her short, messy brown hair fell in front of her eyes. Her once flawless skin was now that of a corpse. Carley stared at her butchered form, the world around her fading until it was just herself and the monstrosity that had taken away her mother. Did this mean her father and sister were dead as well? Was she to be left alone in a world that became more gruesome each day?

It seemed her mother wasn't worried about whether or not she was alone. From her perspective, Carley was simply her next meal. This creature, the young woman realized, was no longer her mother. So, as she sprinted to the end of the street without warning and slammed the end of her hammer into the abomination's skull, she felt no remorse. After the creature fell to the ground, the world came back into focus. If she didn't move, she knew she'd be dead in moments. Despite the danger, Carley took one more precious second to snag the anklet from her dead mother's leg.

Undoubtably, the Scottish man would be furious. She would be too, in his place. But she couldn't just leave her mother like that; a shell of her former self. She wouldn't be able to live with it. The pain she felt losing her mother was excruciating, but she was glad that at least now she could rest in whatever place awaited them after death. As she made her way back to him, exhausted, both physically and emotionally, she said quietly, "That was my mother." Her actions were rash, reckless, and idiotic, but she hoped he would understand.

@HumansArentReal

(Sorry if this post is weird, rushed, or disjointed in any way. I'm super exhausted. ;-; I'm trying to keep up with everything, so forgive me if I missed a detail or two! Things IRL are really stressful at the moment, so I'm doing my best to keep up on RpN. I don't want to fall behinddd.)

Donnee stood leaning for a while, lost in thought when he finally snapped out of it, just enough to listen for the various gunshots going off near their location, "this place might be secure, but it would be useless without people" he said to no one in particular, pulling out his gun and opening the door he came from, taking in the horrifying situation. Down near where he came from there was a horde of crazies, literally, over 30 or more, heading this way, and they seemed to be chasing two people, a big dude and a woman as they headed in his direction. Donnee also looked around to see a fimliar face, the guy who had lead him here, now jumping buildings trying to attract the crazies. He didn't know what he intended to do as he took aim, ready to shoot as soon as they came in range, "this is crazy, even for me, and I overthrew a Russian mafia" he thought, holding the door open and waiting for the people to come.

@HumansArentReal and @Clairvoyance, I'm holding the door for you

I saw @Reaper 1-1 on the roof

Jackson was running the as quick as he could to get inside quick. When he saw the guy he met before and some more people moving towards the garage he slid to a stop. "Shit. Gotta lead them away." he said to himself. He needed to buy the guys approaching the garage some time as well. He looked at the man holding the door and nodded. Jackson started running in the other direction. "COME ON YOU BUNCH OF FUCKIN' CRAZIES. IM OVER HERE YOU DUMB ASSES!" Mac yelled. He got the attention of most of the zombies in the area. He we slowed down to keep them distracted. "Dumb ass motherfuckers. These things are just fucking stupid" he said. Jackson kept walking away from the garage with the hoard of zombies under him. He kept an eye on the garage, waiting for those people to get in and block the door.

He’d watched the guy sprint off down the street. He’d been diverting the horde ahead and now he’d taken off down towards the garage. Richie sighed, and noticed stragglers, splintering off and attempting to go after the man. He held up his Magnum once more and fired it, the force knocking his arm back with kickback. Slowly, the splinters of grey, bulging infected turned and followed him down the street. Before he’d turned he’d seen how many were coming down the street. Some fell, while others crawled, and he’d realised that there were more than twenty; more than thirty most likely.

There were people in the garage, but right now, he had a job to do—get them away, pull away as many as he could and double back. “Come on! Come oooooooon!” He slowly began to stumble, forcing out heavy breaths. As he stepped past a lifeless corpse below with its head caved in; fresh entrails escaping it, he realised he hadn’t slept in almost an entire day.

Behind him, the horde stirred and followed away from the garage. How long could he last before he hit the floor out of exhaustion. This needed to be over quick. “This way! THIS WAY, COME ON!

He slowly walked down the street, further and further, drawing out undead from hidden crevices. Please, lemme live. Lemme make it out of this one.

@Reaper 1-1 I just saw you run towards the garage.

Boyd was slowly trying to formulate a plan. Everything around him was becoming a cluster fuck. Everyone is trying to save everyone. Shots are being fired and attraction is being given. He needed something ,he needed it bad and he needed yesterday. A plan, something simple thatcould work. It would require proper teamwork and coordination.

"Oi on gonna need some assistance here. I got an idea but it's gonna take some planning. !" Boyd shouted trying to get the attention of everyone in the vacinity.

"Anyone with any ammo left come meet at the center!" Boyd shouted again trying to reach the ears of Madison @Eternal-Weekend and her new friend. @Haus Of Alaska

Unfortunately granny wouldn't be much help other than a sacrifice if that's how she wanted to go. @WolfSol

(Sorry if my replies are late I work the graveyard shift at my job so I'm only getting out -_- will reply asap. Probably 3 pm central time. )

Kira

Kira heard the gun shots before anything else happened. With the undead being shot down, she pressed the advantage.

Hearing the creaky Ladder come down, she killed the closest one and ran for the ladder.

Climbing ladder under madison, she spoke up

"Well Ice queen, get a move on, im ready to bail out of this party"

She huffed as they climbed the ladder and Kira pulled it up once they were done.

Dusting herself off she looked to Madison and spoke up

"We should help your hot friend"
