Roleplay Availability
Roleplay Type(s)
Every day, you notice colors collide with other colors. They formulate a unique arrangement; a pattern. Some colors blend good with others. You'll notice that some occasionally don't. Everything has a color of some kind. But did you ever stop to think that humans are just as similar to differentiating shades of the rainbow? Some of us mix, whereas some of us don't. Each color affects people differently. Some create energy; power. Some reflect a tranquil stature. If you stop to think about it now after taking this all in, which one are you? Surely you have an idea.

• Everyone has their color, the more you think about it. When you break your personality down into key words, you'll find more and more that you can be classified as a shade of the Earth. Maybe this bothers you. Maybe it interests you. But either way, it's true. And you're now faced with a parade of separate hues, each falling into their own place. How do you clash with others? Do you make a beautiful design of artwork, or a hideous clutter of debris?

nebulo.demo.png

"Red protects itself. No color is as territorial. It stakes a claim, is on alert against the spectrum."
Red is the color of ardor, but also aggression. Red is someone who's passionate, powerful, confident, attractive, and sharp tongued. They can't resist speaking their mind, and their temper is wild. They're a wild, sometimes party type who always have something to say and always need to get in the last word. Many are attracted to their confident stride. They can be harsh, ruthless, and vain.

nebulo.demo.png

"Orange is a color of liberation, from the pains of hurtful love and inner insecurities. To 'channel orange' is to truly be free, to be you."
Orange is someone who's an optimistic social butterfly, with unique personality traits. They tend to be a breath of fresh air to many, but may also rub others the wrong way. They're bright, warm-hearted, and nurturing. You'll find them to be perky, and lively. Another common trait is loudness. They can be immature, sensitive, and overly talkative.

nebulo.demo.png

"Yellow shines with optimism, enlightenment, and happiness. Beams of golden yellow carry the promise of a positive future."
Yellow is someone who's intelligent and sharp, with defined opinions. They are strong-willed and resilient to hate, always seeing the good in others. They're respectful, and obey authority. You'll find them to be social as well, but not quite as forward as orange. They're a little bit more shy, but still just as popular. They're positive thinkers, and you'll hear their bright side of life as much as you'll let them talk about it. They don't speak very openly about their emotions, but they're still eager to be a listener. They can be impatient, stubborn, and unrealistic.

nebulo.demo.png

"He had that curious love of green, which in individuals is always the sign of a subtle artistic temperament."
Green is someone who's independent, free-spirited, and lovers of life. They tend to prefer being outdoors, and are frequently die-hard animal lovers. They seem to have a sort of balance to them, as if peaceful. Some call them wise beyond their age. But these are on good days. They're tranquil, and against controversy. When you speak to them, it's easy to get lost in their individualistic charm.

nebulo.demo.png

"Blue is the closest color to truth."
Blue is someone who's upbeat, extensively creative, and humorous. They're generally fun to be around, and keep up great conversations. They're trustworthy and loyal. Not to mention easy to talk to. But the biggest frustration about them is they don't open up. Inside, they're locked. They have no real need to express their emotions. They're conservative and cautious. They can be depressed, secretive, and unsafe.

nebulo.demo.png

"Is a mysterious color combining of red and blue to suggest both nobility and candor."
Purple is someone who's entertaining and vivacious. They don't see the glass half full, or half empty. They're withdrawn, vengeful, secretive at times, with a tendency to be sly. They're usually hiding themselves just to play it safe. They can be mistrusting, but extremely loyal to those who gain their security. Purple is artistic, but sometimes sheepish and insecure. They can be paranoid, manipulative, and neurotic.

nebulo.demo.png

"Black is modest and arrogant at the same time. But above all, it says 'You don't bother me- I don't bother you'."
Black is someone who's bottled up, reserved, and silent. They tend to keep their thoughts to themselves, and don't voice much of anything. They're the strong silent type, and always seem to be unfazed by actions of others. Inside though, they're extremely emotional and can lash out if pushed. Black is cryptic and calculated, always with a plan for something. They're almost always gone in their thoughts. They can be apathetic, moody, and unsociable.

nebulo.demo.png

"White projects a sense of security, cleanliness, and new beginnings. Doctors don a white coat, brides wear white gowns, and a white picket fence surrounds a happy and safe home."
White is someone who's pure, affectionate, and peaceful. They're extremely receptive to others emotions and have a welcoming familiarity to them. They're as sweet as can be, respectful, and seem like they can do no wrong. They are usually positive people who enjoy helping others in their spare time. They're selfless, innocent, and a little curious at times. They can be naive, pushovers, and painfully timid.

Iris was currently on taking a ride on her bike. Her shop wasn't open today so she had time to relax and breathe. As she rode to the on her bike Iris waved at the people as she passed. Most of them she knew by name and because they visited the store. Since the town was so small it was easy to remember faces and names. Iris herself was just as memorable. Everyone knew her from her little flower shop. They had come in once or twice and greeted with a warm happy smile. Iris was also known because of her bike. She would ride around town during a pretty day. The kind-hearted young woman never spent too much time inside. She just had to be on her feet, doing something productive.

Iris smiled as she hummed to herself. It was a pretty day out. The sun was shinning bright. She had always loved when the weather was nice. She'd see families out and about or couples having romantic picnics. To sum it up her mood was always improved by a pretty day. After a while of riding Iris decided to head to the cafè for a little snack. When she made it the young woman parked her bike and headed inside.

Nova held on tight to the reigns of Empyrean, her black tobiano Gypsy Vanner stallion, giving them a little snap so that he would pick up the pace. Nothing harmful. She adored her horse. He was about the only thing in this earth that she allowed herself to adore. Her location was the cafe, and she was on her way, making good time. Within minutes, she reached the well sized coffee shop, the scent of caffienated drinks already brewing up a thirst on her tongue. But her father had just made a move on her again at home, and it was more than she could bear. Needless to say, she was in a pretty shiitake-mushroom mood.

She stopped outside, jumping off of Empyrean who was soaked with sweat as would any normal horse for the distance they came. But she wanted to be as far from her dad as possible. Right now, she wanted to prey on the blood of the innocent. Her mind was warping again; projecting feelings that shouldn't be there onto those who didn't deserve it. But it was like target practice. She didn't think twice. Nova stepped into the cafe after tying him up to a hitching post. She stepped inside, her queen bee mentality hanging over her head in a flurry of thunder and lightning that represented the traumas of her daily life. There had to be a victim.

Looking peachy and happy, she spotted Iris waiting to be seated. While the waitress searched for a table, Nova shoved Iris' shoulder and whispered into her ear, "You don't belong here, you stupid little bitch." But the feelings didn't get any better. They always got worse. Still, she stood her ground, waiting in adrenaline for Iris to react. It was a small town, and everyone knew everyone. She'd picked on Iris countless times, taking advantage of her sweetness.

August awoke with a jolt, drenched in sweat, breathing heavily, and frantically searching for his rifle. It took him a few moments to realize he wasn't in the desert anymore. He hadn't been for years. Another moment went by and he realized he was only wearing one sock. Narrowing his eyes he called out to his every present companion.
"Duke!!! Where is it."
The ground vibrated slightly under the massive weight of the 1800lb ox as he answered August's call. Sure enough a mangled black sock dangled from his mouth. August held out his hand. "Give it." He said, and Duke dropped the sock with a look of apathy. Unfortunately it was ruined beyond repair, with a sigh August tossed it in his bag and began to take the tent down as Duke watched, occasionally taking a mouthful of grass from the open field the two often camped in.

After about five minutes, Duke and August were on their way into town. August walking in front of him so he could enjoy the slow trek through the tall grass, Duke a few paces behind with August's bags slung over his massive shoulders. Once he made it into town he made his first stop at the general store to get himself a new pair of socks, which Duke seemed to be way to excited about. His next stop was the Cafe, where he would pick up his own breakfast, and a large kale salad for Duke as per usual. He tied Duke to the Hitching post next to Empyrean as if that would hold a beats of his caliber.

Stepping into the cafe August wasn't surprised to find Iris and Nova getting into it, rather Nova was giving Iris a hard time.
"Cut it out will ya, it's a bit early for all this aggression isn't it?" He said from the doorway, Wich he nearly filled completely with his impressive height and broad shoulders. He took a seat at the bar adjacent to the table to two were near. "Take your frustrations out on some chow, you can eat with me if you'd like." He added smiling warmly as the waiter approached him to take his order.

Iris stood patiently as she waited for her waitress to seat her. When she felt someone bump into her she frowned. A sense of dread and annoyance washed over her. Iris had a feeling that she knew just who hand shoved her so rudely. Her suspicions were confirmed when she heard Nova's voice in her ear. Iris squared her shoulders and turned to look at the other woman. Despite Nova's harassment Iris didn't let it get to her. "Did you have another bad day? That's too bad." She said softly. Iris was aware of what went on with her and her father. Small times gossiped and news traveled fast. "And it's a cafè, anyone with money belongs here."

Iris was about to walk away but she paused. The young woman turned her attention to August. "It's fine August. Some people take out their frustrations on others. I don't take it personally." She shrugged. Iris smiled a little shyly at the large man. "I'd love to. Bike riding makes me really hungry." Iris walked over to the seat next to him. "So...how's your day going?" She asked.

As Iris retaliated passive aggressively, the burning feeling in Nova's stomach intensified tenfold. It was like there was a hyena inside of her, dying to destroy. She did have a bad start to her day, but once she left the house, it was like her father didn't exist in her head. "Congratulations. You've graduated from innocent doll to a true little bitch. I look forward to our future conversations, darling." She smiled wickedly when she noticed August behind her. Any man made her purr, because daddy issues either traumatized you, made you a bigger person, or made you just a wee bit of a whore. This wasn't to her knowledge though. All she knew was that she always liked guys a lot.

He told her to cut the aggression, and she smirked derisively, her teeth showing and all. "Pardon me. I wouldn't have used such language if I knew a gentleman was in the presence." She toyed, and watched his figure as he headed toward a table. To her surprise, he actuallyseemed to invite the two over. On the way, Nova stood by the two and sighed. "I have a feeling you think it's gonna get better from here, Iris. Friendly reminder; it won't." Nova grinned and sat down on the inside of the booth, looking over a menu. Her eyes skimmed up toward August. "How's Duke?" Ignoring the fact that Iris spoke entirely.

Even if she weren't invited, she would have sat.

August's smile persisted as the ladies sat down. He ignored their last little quibs towards one another the best he could, but a little Snickers escaped him. "Same old stuff, every day seems to kinda blend together ya know, as for Duke he's fine. Getting bigger fast, and he seems to have a fierce addiction to my socks." As the waitress approached he ordered his usual Steak and eggs with two pancakes, and the kale salad, specifically requesting that dukes salad come first. Turning to Nova then to iris to let them know he was asking them both he asked "So what's going on with you? Empyrean looks nice and healthy. Order whatever you want I'll cover it this time." Though he was by no means wealthy, he had barely touched the money he earned as a soldier so he had a bit short of 50k in the bank. As the salad made it to the table Duke could be heard lowing from outside. "Yeah yeah, don't get your panties in a bunch, I'm coming." He said scooping up the plate and taking it outside for his friend. On his way back he couldn't help but let his mind wander a bit. This town was great, he was glad to have found it.

"Slow down, Kat! You're going too fast, for fuck's sake!" the brunette cursed loudly as her sister caused them to speed down the street in their tricycle sociable. Thankful;ly, Unsung never had any cars, as the small town was rather isolated from the rest of the world. This came with both benefits and inconveniences. Her sister tried to justify her speeding by saying she was late, by Alena simply grunted. It was not her problem that Kat woke up late.

Her sister got on her nerves sometimes. She tended to force Alena everywhere with her. She didn't really want to go to the cafe; she would rather go to the recording studio with her bandmates. But one was sick and the others were home alone, like she wanted to be. But no, Kat just had to drag her out of the house rather than just let her play her drums for a few hours. Alena sighed. Again, she was thinking too much and stayed quiet for the rest of the ride.

When they got to the cafe, Kat ran to clock in, leaving Alena by herself. Just how she liked it. Taking a seat at one table, she observed the people around her. The cafe was packed, like it was on any other day. A few minutes later, her sister came to take her order, ironically, and she just had to smile a bit. Kat was always goofy in that way and she would always be the first to serve Alena. The girl just ordered a coffee, sending her sister on her way to the kitchen.

"We're off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz!" the blonde girl sang jubilantly as she and her sister arrived at the cafe. She had sped there, her alarm clock not going off that morning. Or maybe she just forgot to set it, she couldn't remember. Kat thought it was such a beautiful day - few clouds and the sun shining. Her sister was still as quiet as ever and didn't want to go to the cafe, but Kat being Kat, she practically dragged her sister out of bed, taking her with her. Alena had been reasonably grumpy the whole ride, but Kat was rather oblivious to it.

She skipped into the kitchen, leaving her sister to find a table, and clocked in. "Mornin', Kitten!" she turned to a familiar voice with a Southern accent and she smiled. Her co-worker, Joe, was always making up nicknames for everyone. She liked him, but she was rather oblivious to his feelings for her, simply putting them off as being friendly. Of course, her fellow females workers would over dramatize it and tell Kat how good of a boyfriend he would make. She dismissed these,
knowing that her female co-workers didn't know she was, in fact, only attracted towards women.

Kat happily served a few other people, going back and forth from the dining area to the kitchen, calling out orders to the chef. She then approached her sister, Alena, and she noticed her sister's slight smile. "You just smiled!" the girl grinned childishly. Her sister's smile was forced into a neutral expression before Kat was met with, "Don't you have other people to serve?" However, Kat was not at all offended by this. It was just how her sister acted. She took her order, which was a simple mocha, and ran back to the kitchen.

Kona strummed his electric guitar to the beat of Hotel California before shutting off the radio with the butt of his guitar and placing it down by all of his other instruments. He stretched and let out a groan like he always did before slipping on his combat boots, black in color with a bit of mud still on the sides. It had rained last night as he was walking home from a stroll through the woods. He hopped up and patted his pockets in rhythm, searching for keys to his very humble abode.. It was what was referred to as a 'tiny home'. But purposely so. His bed was a loft, and his kitchen and living room mingled into one. It was claustrophobic to some, but a dream accomplished to him. Solar powered and all.

He took a leap outside after opening his door wide and breathing in the literal fresh air of the town. The lack of pollution made the air as intoxicating as taking a cold drink of water following a hefty run, which he took on and off during the week. Kona approached his horse and opened the stable, letting him out before placing on the reigns. He hopped on after avid preparation and made way for the cafe. He tried to visit the next town over once, but his leg broke after he passed out for what felt like no reason. Since then, he'd lost interest. This town was enough.

When he reached the cafe, he didn't find a single empty hitching post. He tied his next to a cream colored quarterhorse that was actually rather beautiful and stepped inside the breakfast specials palace. With one look, Kona knew this would be a fine day. Just the ride over gave him that assurance. He waited by the front to be served, waving down Kat. "Hey, hey Kat!" He shouted, cupping his hands around his mouth and grinning. She was a friend of his, but only just recently.

Iris looked over the menu. There were so many options to choose from, she didn't know what to pick. Iris glanced at Nova and smiled. "If you call throwing insults and derogatory language a conversation." She replied. She turned her attention to August. "You don't have to do that August. I can pay for it myself." She said. Eventually Iris ordered some waffles and bacon with a side of orange juice for herself. She put her menu down. Iris looked back to Nova when she spoke. She looked genuinely confused. "What are you talking about? You don't bother me so whether it gets better or not doesn't mater to me."

She watched at August left to feed Duke. She didn't have an animal companion herself. Her parents hadn't been fans of animals. Iris greeted the staff of the cafè and some of the other customers with a bright smile on her face. She received bright greetings in return. "You always manage to handle Duke with such ease. I've never had a pet before. Is it like that easy with most pets?" Iris asked once August made it back.

Kat heard her name being called and ran to see who is was. She beamed as she grinned, seeing Kona, one of the regular customers. They had just started talking, however, despite him going there before and her working there in the past. He was a cool, friendly guy who was like a more laid-back and not-so-bouncy version of herself.

"Kona!" she smiled as she approached him, a small notepad in hand. If Kat wasn't a waitress, she would've hugged him, but she had to stay professional. Not that she was really professional in the first place. She cleared her throat, not wanting her voice to sound too bubbly. It tended to be annoying for her, even though she didn't show it. May I take your order?" she asked him, her smile unwavering.

"Well just bless your little soul. Why don't we be friends then? Be a good one and kill yourself." She muttered under her breath, taking her order now as the waitress arrived for a second time to deliver Iris and August's food. But he was already gone with a salad. "Can I just have an apple and small oatmeal? Like a side dish." She felt like she might throw up before anything even got in. Suggesting suicide again. She'd caused them before. And every time it broke her in ways she didn't understand. Like she was attacking her father. Not Iris. She didn't even see Iris. She felt like she was going nuts. Yet outwardly, she kept her cool.

She turned her back to watch August come back inside. His height was incredibly impressive, and attractive to her. When her oatmeal was delivered, which didn't take long, August was back with them. She thought about last night when her dad was kicking her in the spine as she curled in a ball on the floor for fighting his sexual behavior. Her head began to pound. She shifted in her chair, sore as all to be damned.

As Kat greeted him, he smiled and kind of smothered a laugh. "Don't I have to be seated first? Don't make me report you." He peered around, a grimace slowly taking over his previously positive stature. "Damn.. Looks like the whole place is full. I don't know if I can even sit anywhere." He withdrew, sighing. He returned his simper, crossing his arms and moved his weight to one leg. "Damn. And I was really craving an omelet, too." He mused with a pout, sighing. "Any secret sitting spots?" He teased, though legitimately hoping there was somewhere for him to go.

Caleb Madden

Caleb woke up in a park in his newest town. He stumbled across the town called Unsung late last night and rode in to stay, falling asleep in the park as hotels were too expensive and he needed his money for food. He yawned and stood to stretch before packing away his sleeping bag. He put on his backpack before grabbing his bike and cycling to the nearest coffee shop.

He found a café and locked his bike up outside before walking inside and up to the barista. Caleb spoke,
"One large hot cocoa please." After a couple seconds, it was made and he sat down at a single table alone. He clutched tighter into his guitar and began to write out some lyrics onto a napkin. The pages in his notebook were running low and he couldn't afford to get another, especially when food and fluids were his main priority. He sighed; life on the road was difficult, especially when he didn't have a car. He just had to cope. Music was his passion so he had to do anything for it.

Once he set the salad down Duke went right to work on it and he smirked as his large friend happily wolfed down the food. Walking back inside he arched an eyebrow towards the Nova and Iris. Was she just checking me out? He thought to himself but decided against saying anything. Seeing his food arrive his smile returned and he sat down.
"So what are your plans for today? I've got a few things to take care of around town and could use some company if you're up to it. "
He paused every so often while he was talking to take another bite of his steak. It didn't last very long for him to finish the large meal and August couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed, apparently he was much hungrier than he had thought.

Alena watched as her sister rambled to a man she was serving. She was always a bit envious of Kat's personality. The art of socialization always came so easily to her. Even when she was just a child, Alena could barely keep a conversation while Kat was able to find something to talk about in the blink of an eye.

She could hear her sister talking about seats even though she was near the back. That was how loudly Kat spoke. It annoyed Alena quite a lot, but that was her sister, so she got a pass and she didn't hate her sister. Far from it.
Even though she was annoying, if anyone did anything to Kat, she swore she'd track down the person who did it and kill them with her bare hands. Of course, if she told anyone that, they'd think she was crazy, unless they had siblings they loved just as much.

Alena watched as her sister brought the young man over to the booth where she sat. She introduced the man as Kona. She found the name to be . . . interesting. It would make more sense if it was his nickname. She glared at her sister for a brief moment, looking at the sheer mischief painted on her features, before she watched the blonde leave her sights. She looked at Kona, her face softening just a bit as she sipped her mocha. "Hello, Kona," she nodded a bit, her tone calm and polite.

Kat chuckled a bit at his comment, though she felt rather embarrassed. She had a habit of doing that, asking people for their order before they even sat down. Looking around, she realized he was right, the cafe was full of people. There were almost no seats. She hummed a bit before looking back at him.

"Unfortunately, we have no secret spots. Personally, I prefer sitting near the kitchen. The smell of the food just hits you like a wave. But seriously, you should order the Kielbasa omelet. It has peppers, onions, Fontina cheese, and Kielbasa sausages. It's so good," Kat rambled a bit before looked around again. She saw her sister sitting in a booth and she perked up as if a lightbulb just went off in her head. "I see an empty seat right there in that booth. Wait, did I ever introduce you to my sister? No, I don't think I did," she began thinking to herself for just a moment before pulling Kona along.

"Kona, I would like you to meet my sister, Alena. Alena, this is Kona. This is the only unoccupied seat, so you can't move from here to another seat," Kat grinned, a rather mischevious glimmer in her eye. Maybe her sister would make a friend. She could already see Alena glaring at her.

Iris didn't hear what Nova said completely but she had heard enough. The young woman tended up and her eyes glistened a little. She would admit that it stung but she refused to give her the satisfaction of seeing her upset. Iris was quiet for a few moments before she spoke again. "Just because your life is hard doesn't mean that you have to make it hard for everyone else." She said in usual soft town. Iris quickly blinked away any tears and looked to August. Her smile was a little strained now.

"I don't have anything important today. I closed shop today so that I could have a little time to relax. I'd like to hang out. Work has been so consuming, I haven't had any time to just relax until today." Iris replied. "I don't know if I can do any real heavy lifting though." Iris told him. She watched as he ate his food rather quickly and she giggled. "Wow you must have been really hungry." She stated.

Olive pushed her skateboard to go faster, gliding down the sidewalk toward the café. She weaved around someone on a bike and turned into the lot, stopping a few feet from the animals parked outside. She recognized Iris' bike, Script, and Empyrean. She frowned at the fluffy black and white horse, and glanced at the windows of the café, trying to see inside. She didn't have anything against the horse, but who owned it was a different story. She picked up her skateboard and tucked it under her arm. Her fingers were spotted with dots of orange and black. She had finished a commissioned painting for one of her aunt's friends that morning--Marian, Mary, something that started with a M--but she'd let the paint on her hands dry to the point where only a deep scrub could get it off. Even then, traces of it still clung stubbornly to her hands.

She only came out to get a dark coffee and to take a break before she started on another painting. She didn't know what it was about the café, but the coffee there was better than anything she tried to produce at home. Olive glanced at Empyrean again, gave a little wave to the ox, and headed inside. It was busier than she thought it would be. She moved to the back corner by the counter and picked up a menu, glancing over the breakfast choices. She did not look in Nova's direction, patiently waiting for someone to come and tell her where she was supposed to sit. Or to take her order. Hopefully both.

The door opened and Kat's head quickly jerked to see if someone had left or arrived. Apparently, someone else had arrived, a girl with light green hair. She couldn't deny that the girl looked cool, but there was a shortage of staff members. Thankfully, the hostess had returned from greeting other customers and a few people had left. The hostess showed the girl to an empty seat with a smile and left.

Kat walked towards the girl, still thinking her green hair was really cool. "Hello! I'm Kat and I'll be serving you today. May I take your order, miss?" she smiled, trying to be as polite as possible.

When Nova's eyes skimmed over Iris, she noticed a difference in her tone and attitude. 'Just because your life is hard doesn't mean you have to make everyone else's'. She said. Nova scoffed in a laugh, once again under her hidden breath. "What you hear are rumors." She didn't want anyone to know about her home life like Iris did. It scared her. And she didn't know how much she knew. That was even worse. She now ignored the dark-skinned femme and paid mind to August.

Iris' voice was like a nagging sound to her ears. She had to agree though, that August was really chowing. She peeked down at her oatmeal and blushed deeply, knowing she wouldn't finish. She began to take very small bites, saving the apple for Empyrean. When Olive came in, she flipped her off with a smile before returning to the task at hand. She knew that the tall man asked for company, but highly doubted he was referring to her. Still, she maintained her strong forward facade that held so many thorns, touching it made you bleed all over.

Kat brought him over to a used table, and he was confronted with a girl he'd seen around but never associated with. Something that sucked considering how absolutely beautiful she was. It was funny, considering Kona lightly flirted with her, only to discover she was just as attracted to females as he was. They bonded over it, as well as their similarities. He knew they'd be fast friends. But now he was with her sister, it seemed.

He appreciated her company, despite the near to robotic greeting. "
Hey there, Alena. Nice name. It's a Hawaiian name, like mine. What's on the menu for you?" He inquired, smiling with his teeth hidden. It was a subtle grin; one that only displayed the ambiguousness that he put on when he first met someone. He knew Kat would come out with that kielbasa omelet as soon as she could, but it might take any amount of time considering that this place was packed. He loved it packed, but he had a feeling Alena didn't considering her aloof persona.

Olive was more than a little relieved that she had a booth to herself. She shifted close to the window and dropped her skateboard under the seat. She never lifted her eyes from the menu, even as a middle finger appeared in her peripheral vision. She lifted the menu higher and ignored it, even as she wondered why the people she didn't like seemed to always be the first to notice her when no on else did. She blinked a few times when the waitress spoke, lost in thought about Nova and her awfulness.

Olive stared at her shoulder instead of looking her in the eye. "Just a dark coffee for now," she paused, glancing at the menu again. All that time spent staring at it, and she hadn't gotten past half of the first page. "What's the breakfast special for today? If there is one." She frowned a little. If only Iris was alone, or she had come in after Olive. Iris would've ordered for her, and she could have avoided this whole conversation.

Upon hearing Iris's response he grinned even more profusely. "Well that's one, what about you Nova? Think you two can put up with each other long enough for me to move some things? If you can then I'll get us all some drinks afterwards and we can all watch the storm tonight" he slid his plate forward and set a fifty dollar bill on the counter, covering Iris and Nova's meal wether they wanted him to or not ,with a generous tip as well. If they didn't accept his gift then the waitress would be getting a 40$ tip. He rose to his feet and walked towards the men's room. " I'll be back..." He turned back right before he walked in "is it safe to leave you two alone with the cutlery? Or do I need to have Duke watch you?" Chuckling he walked into the men's room without waiting for a answer.

Nova had mumbled something but Iris paid no mind to it. She would be polite as usual but other than that she'd pay her no mind. There was only so much that the sweet girl could take. "Sounds like a plan." She smiled. Iris watched as August paid for their food. She huffed but said nothing. Iris didn't reply to his comment about the cutlery. It was her who had the problem. When Nova decided to harass her Iris remained calm on the outside. When she caught a glimpse of Olivia she smiled. The other woman looked a little troubled. She was so shy and awkward sometimes.

"You and August can go ahead without me." Without another word Iris headed over. She would much rather be in Olivia's company. The negativity that Nova radiated was too much. She looked to the waitress, Kat if she remembered correctly. "Hi!" Iris smiled warmly at her before sliding into the booth. She waved to Olivia. "Hey Olive, how are you?" She asked. It was obvious that Iris hadn't asked just to be polite. The florist was genuinely curious.

As August paid for the trio, a feeling of worthlessness washed over her mind like a riptide. Ironically so, as her fiance passed away in one that they both became entrapped in two years ago. The pain is still unbearable to this day, and aside from her father, she flaunts her flirtatious body and behavior to deal with it. Even though it's not really 'dealing with it', you can tell that Nova isn't the type to process things healthily. Focusing back on the check, she felt a sharp sting in her chest. Guilt. Not over Iris, even as she left, obviously annoyed with the multi-color haired girl. Over August. She felt like she owed him something now.

Her oatmeal was left unfinished as expected, and the crimson apple sat looking supple and hearty by the plate. It was still for Empyrean. That hadn't changed. But her attitude did. She watched Iris leave, waving lightly. Then, her attention turned to the tall man that paid for her food, and what little of it she ate. "August, why don't we head outside? It's a pleasant day, and I'm now with a pleasant person." She grinned, toying with the ends of her hair where the yellow was.

As August made his way out of the men's room he noticed Iris had switched tables and figured she had turned down his invitation. Though slightly hurt he still smiled and threw up a peace sign, both to say bye, and assure that there were no hard feelings.
Turning his attention to Nova when she spoke his smile turned into a smirk. She was fiddling with her hair, and the multi colors made it seem as if she were twirling the end of a rainbow in her fingers. "Can't say I've ever been called pleasant. Let's go milk the sunshine while we've got it." He pushed his chair in and lead the way out the door holding it open for Nova. After untying Duke who looked at him with accusing eyes when he picked up the empty plate and ran it back inside. "I've just got a few boxes I need to move around for Mrs. Doughtree then we can pick up some drinks and snacks. What's your poison?" He said trying not to stare too hard or get too close.

August led the way to the door, and she let the tips of her fingers glide across his abdomen on the way out. They stood by their mounts, and she peered up at him with her arms crossed and a brimming smile across her cheeks, outlining her facial features. She bit the inside of her cheek and gazed at him up and down. Okay, you can do this. Her mind reassured, giving a gentle nudge. As he inquired what her poison was she met hips with him, locked eyes, and whispered, "The man in front of me has me weak as poison will get you." Nova responded, wrapping her arms around his back. The strain it took had her second guessing herself, however. Her back was killing her.

She knew she owed him something for paying for her; at least in her mind she did, but would he accept it?
