the end of the world began centuries ago. a world lost in technology and impurity. a race so preoccupied with themselves they forgot about the world around them.
those that cared enough about the world to try and save it couldn't do enough. as humankind spiraled into a pit of unwillingness to do for themselves, technology rose, taking over our lives. the planet was dying and no one seemed to care. no one stopped to think anymore.
nature wasn't going to let humankind take it out that easily, though. so came croatoan.
this wasn't the first time it had happened. nature fought impurities regularly. she would not give in to the destruction she faced.
crotoan began in 2150. humanity was on the brink of destruction within six months. it's been two years since the beginning.
while the vast majority of the human population stopped supporting themselves, some did not. few and far between, these people were laughed at by those around them. there was no sense in doing that on your own, after all.
those who knew how to survive at least partially on their own were much better off. most, if not all, were poor. those of wealthier classes had robots to serve their robots. they had nothing to worry about. until croatoan.
those that survived did so barely. still fending off the affects of the disaster, living in small colonies around the globe.
nestled in the north western hemisphere is a colony called roanoke. a fitting name, they thought.
SO. basically this is a post-apocalypse roleplay. it's set in not!america in the settlement of roanoke (not the same roanoke from 1750 tho) following some of the survivors of the apocalypse. croatoan is natures attack upon humanity. the official hosted project will not be live until mid-october.
