Fantasy Quest

Characters
Here
It was morning, the day that the party chosen by the king would go on the quest to find the sacred stones to protect the kingdom.

The party was gathered at the castle.

Lorenzo the Knight, from the hostile Trez Empire, had already started to send his soldiers toward the kingdom. If he wasn't stopped, soon the peaceful kingdom would be taken over and Lorenzo would make the kingdom part of the evil Empire.

The adventurers, with the exception of the princes and princesses, were taken to the dungeon below the castle.

The dungeon was a wide room with a tall ceiling. It was dark and smelled like old biscuits. The only light came from torches burning on the walls.

The whole dungeon had a dark red atmosphere because of the fires on the walls.

The commander of the kingdom's soldiers led the adventurers in the dungeon accompanied by a few soldiers.

"Welcome," the commander said to the party of adventurers and mercenaries. "Thank you for listening to the call of the king. We will have you all ready and supplied for your quest as soon as we finish our business here.

"Please look at the people around you. I know its dark in here, but these are the people you will be working with as you journey with the royal to find the sacred runes. All of you, please state your name and give a brief introduction of your job class and weapon class.

"When youre done, the practice run will begin."

As the Commander explained this in the dungeon of the castle, outside in the grassy courtyard, the princes and princesses along with the royal knights and mages waited.

It was a beautiful, sunny day. The blue sky and green grass contrasting to the smelly dungeon.

The royalty going on the journey and the royal knights and mages all knew each other and could now spend some time talking before their privacy would soon be taken by the many new people they would be questing.

They were waiting in the courtyard, large doors leading into the castle to its dungeon were close so they could meet the fighters that walked out.

For now, the adventurers would introduce themselves and the royalty and royal guards would prepare to leave the safety of the castle and go into the open world.

(Prince, princess and royal knights/mages outside. Basically only royalty and their guards are in the courtyard.

(Adventurers, mercenaries you are in the dungeon. If you have questions, fun dialogue etc meet me in OOC please. Thanks, have fun!)

A blonde young man stood in the dungeon. He was 21 years old, wearing adventurer's clothing, light chainmail and a gauntlet on his left arm.

The male looked around and stepped forward. "My name is Ricky. I'm an adventurer a traveling swordsman. I'm here to help find the sacred stones and go on an adventure while protecting the people in my party."

Han

She carefully put an escaping dark and straight hair tress of hers back where it belonged, behind her ear. Letting out a small sigh from her mouth, Han started questioning if the decision to join this quest on a whim was a good one. What had she gotten herself into? Han stood there, in all her mesmerizing beauty, admiring the safe world of the courtyard. She'd have to soon abandon it. It wasn't like she hadn't traveled before, and it wasn't like she wasn't enthusiastic to travel beyond the unknown. No one really asked specifically for her to join this interesting quest anyway. It was her own choice. Well, the choice of her other side. The young woman put one of her hands on her hip and the other one reached the skies. She was blocking the bright orb in the sky, that was caressing her skin with its piercing light.

"I think, it's going to be a clear day," she muttered under her breath to herself. It was an old habit. Even if she was in the midst of some high-class folks, Han would occasionally mutter to herself and keep herself company. Sacred stones, huh? She had read plenty of books and emptied all kinds of libraries. She had studied for years all kinds of myths and legends. But this thing right here that was proven to be true and powerful? She had never heard of anything like that. Han's greed of knowledge had made her jump to this quest head-first. She was worried about how sweet it sounded at first, almost like honey. Sacred stones. But she very well knew, that once you jumped in inside that tempting, smooth and sweet honey, your hair would get tangled in the ickiness.

"I'll just have to see how this progresses," she muttered again, like an old man reciting something under his breath. Han corrected her hat and crossed her arms impatiently, waiting for something to actually progress. This was one of the rare occasions that she had dressed in some kind of armor. A few metal sheets around her arms and a plate on her chest, that is. Other than that, she resembled a peasant or a traveler. Not a royal mage at all. Han had refused to limit herself and any of her body parts with excess clothing. It would only slow her down.

She viewed her hands and arms as her everything. If someone would ever manage to severe them, it'd be over for her. Everything she channeled from the deepest pocket of her heart, came out as energy from her delicate hands. The young occultist had been blessed by this gift and that's why you would often see her crossing her arms over her chest. An innate habit of protecting her gift from any outside harm that was about to come.

The youngest princess was fiddling her thumbs in the courtyard. She'd hate to look unrefined, but her anxiety was eating at her very soul. This was her first outing that wasn't strictly political-- Not to mention with the presence of her overbearing father. She had opted to sit down on a nearby bench as the others made conversation. She swung her feet lightly, as her eyes looked around for one of the royal staff to come to her aid. Usually, when she was alone someone who worked for the royal family would come up to her out of pity; though she probably drove them off with all of her talking.

She stayed quiet on ' her ' bench and waited for the adventurers and mercenaries to arrive. They honestly always scared her, most of them weren't the best to make conversation with. Let alone an intelligent and political conversation. As she stayed in her thoughts, she ran her hands along the silk of her white dress and through her hair to keep herself from picking at her manicured nails.

( Please tell me if this font is too hard to read. )

Outside in the courtyard, Princess Lauren was walking about looking at the courtyard for the last time. She and her siblings had many good times here doing their childhood. While waiting for the time to go on their fantasy quest, Lauren looked and saw her younger sister.

She walked towards the young girl and patted her shoulder. "Hey, you ready for us to meet the people we'll be traveling with? Lets hope they are big and strong!" Lauren laughed.

Lavi looked up questioningly to her older sister. She took a liking to her siblings as close friends, because they were always kind to her. Sometimes she wondered if it was required of them. She simply nodded and smiled. " Mhm. I'm sure they will be capable of themselves. Well, I hope sincerely. " With that, she turned back to the view of the courtyard. Everything was so beautiful there. It almost made her forget her situation.

She imagined what the adventurers would look like. Of course not all of them would be big and strong, some lean and petite, short or chubby. They would be different from one another. Never the same body type, or morals. She had met a lot of people in her time. It seemed out of her siblings that she was most well acquainted to the idea of great diversity. In fact, she indulged in it. It was simply realism.

She turned to her sister, patting the empty space on the bench beside her. " Do you truly think they will all be big..? It just doesn't seem realistic. " She wished she was more literate. To say her every thought. Though, the words failed to process in her lesser developed mind. She hated it. She knew she could speak as a proper royal-- But that took time and effort. Effort she was not willing to put in at the moment.

Vincent waited for the commander to finish speaking before he opened his eyes and looked up. "It's alright, I don't mind the dark." He began. "Rather, I find it quite... soothing." He gently kicked off of the wall he was resting against and stood up straight. "My name... is Vincent. Nothing more, nothing less. It would not surprise me if any one of you have heard the legends about me and my past exploits. If you have... do keep yourself calm. To those that haven't, allow me to explain..."

Vincent folded his arms. "I am what is known as a Velock - the more proud ones of my kind might call themselves wolves given human form. But, I don't bite... unless you're a spy for Chaos." Vincent gave a small chuckle. "I have fought many battles, encountered many hardships. I've seen castles become twisted and corrupted, men changed into horrific beasts, and entire lands burned to the ground in as little as a day. As for why I'm here? I want to help, it truly is that simple. My homeland does not need me as of now, and besides, my days as a Black Lion mercenary are behind me, so I will not be expecting monetary compensation - unless you believe I deserve such a reward. My expertise from years of questing and banishing evil should serve us well."

In a flash Vincent pulled his sword out of its sheath and held it before him, the violet-colored runes glowing gently, flickering like flames. "My... class? I suppose you would call me a Dark Knight with a bestial form. The sword I wield, I had made it myself during my first escapade, at least thirty years ago. Though, it has grown considerably more powerful since then, as have I." His eyes narrowed to mere slits. "Though I do consider all of you as my allies, let me warn you just this once-- any attempts of betrayal toward me or any of the rest of us will not end well for you, so throw away any notions you might have. I know betrayal and its many faces, so do not think for even a moment that you will be able to fool me. There is a saying, even old wolves can still bite." Realizing he was getting rather aggressive, Vincent sheathed his weapon before stepping back toward the wall.

He eyed Ricky cautiously. "Ricky, is it?" Vincent's emerald eyes flicked away from the young swordsman quickly. "Your reason for coming here is about as bland as it gets, but... it is good to have you with us nonetheless. So full of energy, you are. Reminds me of myself when I was first with the Lions, and anxious to begin my first true task. They didn't trust me then, thought sending a wolf to carry out a task like... well, rescuing a princess and her castle from a curse and defeating a goddess of darkness... was too risky, and that I would only make things worse." Vincent gave a sigh. "Enough rabbiting on from me for now... let us listen to the others."

Dungeons were something Koda Soren was very much used to. His ship had a mini dungeon of its own for holding any prisoners found at sea captive, but he realised how much more he liked his ship's dungeon than this reeking pile of stones they called an excuse for a dungeon. It was horrid down here, but he remained in stony silence as he thumbed at his cutlass in its sheath, waiting for his employer to show up.

He would like his employer to show up, but he would have liked to be on his grand ship even more. A pirate felt at home upon his ship, and it was no different for Captain Soren. He itched to get back on his ship and let the Seabreaker shred through water, the wind blowing in his face, cutlass gleaming with fresh blood and pistol smoking from a fired shot.

But the dungeons had to do for now.

Ricky stood there listening to Vincent.

"Wow you're so cool!" Ricky said, with his fists pumped. "You must be really strong. We're gonna be pals!" The blonde stood there in a dramatic stance with thumbs up to the Velock.

"Commander, take a picture!" Ricky said, putting sunglasses on himself and Vincent, posing back to back with the male, trying to look cool.

The commander looked at Ricky with a
confused look.

"Vincent, thank you for helping us." The commander said.

Patroclus leaned on his spear, the butt-spike on the end digging into the stone of the dungeon. His hoplon was secured to his back and his xiphos was resting on his left hip in its scabbard. He listened to the younger and definitely inexperienced soldier, he sounded like a generic adventurer, looking for excitement, but in Sparta people like him usual met a swift death. Another man spoke up after the one named Ricky was finished, another began a long winded introduction. He sounded rather arrogant really, unless he could prove that half his claims were legitimate, Patroclus refused to take him seriously. His red musculata curiass blending in with the shade of the walls from the fires of torches. He removed his helmet with his left hand, black and red crest extending down to his knees, he surveyed, the pirate and werewolf that had joined them in the dungeon. He stepped forward after the young adventurer acted in a fashion unbecoming of a soldier.

"I am Patroclus Sidirourgós, Spartax of Lacedaemon. The reason I have come here is that I am no longer needed in my homeland, so I have come as a misthofóros for money until I am recalled. Stay out of my way and we won't have any problems." he guided his spear into its holster on his back below the heavy shield and switched his helmet to his right hand while resting his left one on the pommel of the long xiphos. This Ricky seemed like he was naive and definitely was a rookie, he probably hadn't even been in a battle before. FNG. Patroclus thought, he would have to be a babysitter more than he would a specialist. He eyed the wolf as the youngest of them tried to get a picture, and then shook his head at the fighters he had been paired with, if they were as bad as he thought they were, it would be a very long mission they would be on, if they survived that is

Lauren sat beside her sister. "I don't know if they will all be strong, but I hope we can at least make some new friends."

Across the courtyard, a young royal guard Katsushiro was standing, looking at the doors leading to the dungeon.

Who were these adventurers hired to go on this quest for the king? Why invite common folk with the desire for monetary gain to go on such an important quest. It didnt make sense.

He could protect the royal heirs himself. And find these sacred runes with the help of the other royal guards.

He sighed.

Seeing Han in the courtyard, he walked toward her. "Good morning, Lady Han. Are you ready for us to start our quest?"

He bowed to her respectfully and then looked outside of the courtyard gates, wondering what awaited them.

Han
Han had been following the two royals with her eyes intensely. Not out of malicious intent or something like that. Her face was gentle, cool. Like the surface of a cold lake. She had always hoped to have a relationship with a sibling like this. Someone to dote on or someone to dote on you. Someone who would take care of you even if you pissed off occasionally. Someone to learn life lessons from and with. She was still standing with her arms over her chest, looking quite unapproachable when you paired that stance with her face. She wouldn't think anyone would approach her right now as she was sucking in the view. Who knows, this could be her last time in here! Quests were often dangerous, at least the ones she had attended. Sometimes she had to see someone die. And she was merely 20 years old. A youngster in the books of occultists. Her race was known to live for a long time. Some individuals were immortal, forever young. But those occultists usually succumbed to the temptation of dark magic. Not the one Han was using, but the one much more violent and dangerous. An exaggerated version of what she had.

The young woman snapped out of her trance as someone approached her. A young man, younger than herself in terms of age, had greeted her. What was his name again? Katsushiro? That was a name that ringed nicely. Not that she wanted to trade. Han was perfectly fine. He bowed to her, and she acknowledged his bow by doing something that reminded a curtsy. People were extremely formal in here, and so was Han when she was leaning to the lighter side.

"Good morning to you too sir," she answered with a polite smile and voice. Han found it odd too that there were multiple commoners joining this quest. She'd rather trust the well-trained royal guards and mages. Probably because she was the most familiar with them, and people always liked familiarity. That much she had learned.
"I look forward to working with you." she pointed out, maybe revealing some of her doubts towards the commoners, even if she was not a noble or such herself either.

Sansa
The young girl snapped the string of her bow, which was tightly secured by the bow-string around her torso, against her chest lightly to keep her pre-occupied. She was on edge; cramped cold spaces were not her preferred area, she desired lush open plains or densely packed forests full of green and shrubbery. Then the commander had requested that they introduce themselves she was not the best at social cues or interactions just the anticipation of her introduction weighed heavily in her mind as she thought over and over what she would say once it was her turn to speak. She continued to pluck at her bow string with one hand while quickly rapping the side of her thigh with the other.

Once some of the other people crammed into the dungeon had introduced themselves Sansa decided to speak up. With a deep breath she opened her mouth and blurted out "Sansa Libaratta. I need money and, uh, yeah.". After she answered the question with much less energy or magnificence compared to the others Sansa quickly covered her face with the dark green wool cloak that adorned most of her body. It was clearly multiple sizes too large for the girl the hood encompassed her entire head; she repeatedly had to push it up as to make sure it stayed out of her face. To her the cloak was perfect though it protected her from the outside world a social defense that allowed her to hide away from awkward stares or social cues. Although from under the cloak she still contemplated over how idiotic she had been why would she say something so stupid as and, uh, yeah. She began to tap her thigh once more in a rhythmic one two... one two... one two to distract herself from her embarrassment.

When Ricky tried to get the Commander to "take a picture", Vincent only tilted his head with a more-than-puzzled look on his face. "What... are you doing? What is this object you've placed on my face?" He was unsure how to react, aside from removing the sunglasses and handing them back to Ricky. "I do not not need these, and... please never do that again. Games like that will get you killed in the field. I will grant you due respect you as a fellow warrior and participant on this endeavor, but if you wish to be 'pals' with me, you must earn such a title, do you understand? There is a time and a place for everything."

Vincent gave the Commander a nod once his little speech to Ricky was finished. "It is no problem."

As Vincent listened to the others give their introductions, his attention was particularly drawn towards Patroclus like a magnet to iron. The 'Spartax of Lacedaemon', as he had introduced himself, appeared to be an extremely capable fighter indeed, much like Vincent himself. If there were any real negatives to be said about Patroclus, it was the last statement he had uttered: "Stay out of my way and we won't have any problems." Such a statement turned Vincent off slightly; this was meant to be a team effort, after all, however much friction would potentially exist in the group. Nevertheless, Vincent did look forward to fighting alongside this no-doubt-dependable warrior, if he would be allowed to assist him in combat. "I must admit, I am intrigued by your use of both a sword and a spear as weapons. Such a combination must allow you to cover multiple different ranges, yes? Despite your proclaimations, I await the opportunity to fight at your side, Patroclus. It has been quite a while since I fought alongside someone such as yourself." Vincent said, extending his greeting to Patroclus.

Then, there was Sansa the huntress, or so she seemed to Vincent. She seemed quite nervous upon giving her introduction, and Vincent was mentally questioning himself why that might be. What reason, pray tell, would she have for pulling her cloak over her face in such a manner? Vincent turned his head to look at her. "Is something the matter, Sansa?" He asked. "There is nothing wrong with wanting to help others if it means money for you, if that is why you're hiding yourself from us like a fox in its hole. Bear in mind, I was once a mercenary, as I had just said, so I understand such desires myself. Besides, there are significantly worse jobs that one could do to earn some coin." Vincent said to try and comfort her, even though he still bore a slight grimace on his face. Rather than simply telling her to "cheer up", Vincent said nothing more, and waited for Sansa to hopefully calm herself down on her own.

"Most of you have introduced yourselves" the commander said. "Now we will begin a practice run. This will be to determine who is capable of completing this quest and holding their own in combat. If any of you do not succeed in this practice battle, you will not be going on the quest.

"Take up your weapons, the practice battle begins now."

The commander and the guards stepped back and stood near the walls as iron gates were raised from the walls of the dungeon.

Several goblins and animated skeletons rushed out from the opened gates and charged at the warriors.

The goblins had sharp claws and the skeletons moved quickly, grabbing a few of the warriors. The skeletons, though quick, had a small amount of strength and could easily be beaten individually. However, if they grabbed onto a person it could distract them from a real attack.

The younger princess simply nodded her head in agreement. There was no need for idle conversation for the moment. La'vira soon rose from the bench, looking around the courtyard. She put her gloved hands in front of her, and began walking with the utmost posture. She had always been able to have first pick at anything she liked simply because of her age and status. She wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to get first pick at the adventurers who would stay closer to her than any others. Of course they had the royal protection, but it was all about socializing and uphold the family's great social reputation. She had an important job and by all of her gods she would not fail in any way.

With a solemn expression, the girl continued walking until she had arrived where Han was standing. She took a liking to the woman, and would often engage in small talk. Even though she did not agree with the use of the dark magic she used occasionally, She seemed to have a nice personality. " Excuse me, Han? Where will the quest-goers be arriving, and when-- If you know. " The girl looked up to the woman as she spoke, a smile creeping on her face from just seeing Han's pretty features. She was horrible at keeping a neutral expression. Sure enough, in a few seconds the young princess was smiling up to the mage. It was an understatement that Lavi thought Han was beautiful, she had constantly given her gifts as a younger child. Roses of red and white, little hair-pins and other things that her father would give her that she didn't need.

Captain Soren loved nothing more than a fight, and when the iron gates were raised, he automatically drew his gleaming cutlass and powered pistol.

The skeletons could not be shot as there was no brain to kill, so he reserved his shots for the goblins. The skeletons received the sharp end of his blade, swinging bones from their sockets and scattering them.

"Come at me, ya landlubbering bastards!" He roared, one hand firing his pistol at the goblins and the other ripping skeletons apart. The thrill of the fight sparked with electricity through his blood, exciting him with every fallen skeleton and goblin.

[div class=subheader] will you show me the extent of your conviction? [/div] [/div] [div class=basicsR] [div class=box] Eyes of a tranquil cornflower blue peered out at the lush verdure decorating the nostalgic palace grounds. Once he finally met the gaze of a certain angry individual, his eyes curved in amusement as a smile (or was it a smirk?) played on his lips. As if to deal the final blow, the light-haired man offered a casual wave in greeting and boldly strode up towards where the guard stood.

“Prince Ingram, you are truly-!” the man—Rowan—cut himself off, exasperated. Seeing the unremorseful expression on the first prince’s visage, the brunette’s wrinkled brow loosened into an expression of complete resignation. He groaned. “Excuse my insolence, but even if Your Highness gets sidetracked by your research, wasn’t it possible to have arrived at least a day earlier?”

“It seems that fate would not have it that way,” Leo answered without missing a beat. “I would have preferred sneaking in as an adventurer regardless.” However, a sharp look from Rowan kept the prince from vocalizing any further commentary. The rest of the trip to the courtyard where the rest of his siblings were waiting was fairly quiet and peaceful. That is, until Leo spotted some familiar figures.

“Hitting on my youngest sister already, Miss Han?” he said in a light and joking tone. Ignoring Rowan who simply shook his head and took his leave, Leo walked towards the small group that had assembled. He fondly pat the little princess’ head, being careful as to not ruffle her delicately set hair. “How have you all been this past year?”

Soon, his smile melted into an expression that revealed a fraction of disappointment. Though he had not heard Lavi’s question, the quest-goers were inevitably on his mind as well. Of course, as the resourceful sort, he had more information than his fellow siblings. As such, his curiosities and inquiries were separate from the others present.

“The adventurers and mercenaries are currently being tested. Even if the targets are merely low-tier goblins and skeletons, it would have been nice to be able to observe and gauge the quest-goers’ skills.” Leo sighed. “Unfortunately, father rejected that idea.” Not that he was particularly surprised. Though he had brought the topic up to the king as curiosity on the skill of those he’d be fighting alongside, the old man had surely noticed his son’s true motives: to see if he could catch a glimpse of magic that he had not seen before. What a shame. [/div] [/div] [/div]

Ricky kept his weapon along with his bag of traveling supplies near the wall. When the enemies came into the room, he looked around to see if any of the adventurers would need help.

Long range fighters and mages might need defence while preparing their offense.

He saw the girl in the cloak, Sansa and took up a post in front of her, using his armour gauntlet to punch a goblin in the head. He fought off the creatures in a defensive keeping the girl free from opponents.

He fought the goblins using hand to hand combat, staying light on his feet to evade attacks. Eventually a skeleton grabbed Ricky from behind wrapping its arms around him. More skeletons ran toward him grabbing him. He lifted both legs, kicking away goblins in front of him that were trying to rush him.

Han

Han was focusing on the samurai before her until she heard a girly, childish voice squeaking on her hip. It was a familiar voice calling a familiar name. She felt at ease listening to that voice. Looking down, she met the deep blue eyes of the princess, La'vira to be exact. Although Han didn't smile, her face changed to be less rough. A face of a doll at peace, or perhaps an angel.

Immediately, Han bowed to her ruler. Even if she was a little girl, she spoke so eloquently. A very sophisticated girl indeed. Han was quite the opposite in her young days. She indulged in things that weren't exactly expected from a young little maiden.

"My fair lady, I have to apologize but I do not know the details. However, I was told that the volunteering adventurers met in the dungeon. They shalt be tested. I think they should arrive soon enough," she answered the question presented to her.

Quickly, her face lightened up in a sudden change. She muttered something about almost forgetting. Han took a look inside her brown leather pouch. It was filled with trinkets. Han was an avid collector of anything that looked nice. Furrowing her brows, multiple objects came out flying from the pouch. Potions, coins, a smoking pipe, a fan, and some sweets. "Where is it.." the objects were in the air for a while before starting to drop down.
Moving her long kimono-style robe slightly, she revealed a tight sash tied around he waist. Han dug something out of her sash. A beautiful hairpin, similar style as Han was wearing. But this one, was much more pompous, suited for a princess. The stick was made of gold, with dangling sapphire gems attached to the decorated part, resembling a flower.

"This is a gift for you, my lady. I visited my hometown not that long ago and got this for you. Fine craftsmanship and top jewels to compliment the color of your eyes." she explained, handing the gift to the girl. She was not sure if it was her style but tried to bring gifts occasionally to the girls.

Pointing at her own hairstyle, Han had a pin securing her hair too. But hers was much less pompous. Hers was made out of wood, a simple stick, not gold.

All was going well until the prince arrived with his snarky comments. Han bowed once again to show her obedience and loyalty. "How nice of you to join us, Your Highness." she was much more formal with the prince than the princess. Not only was he older, but he was the prince himself.

"I am but conversing, do not worry." she smiled politely.

The girl nodded her head understandingly. "Yes, I'm sorry for bothering you." When the princess was about to make haste to ask her brother, the woman began digging into her pouch. The girl attempted to look into the pouch and see what the woman was trying so desperately to find. Only it seemed when she got closer that a few things started falling out, making the girl jump. More and more items went to the ground unrecognized and the girl scrambled to pick them up. Who knows if they were important or not? "Miss Han! Please be more careful with your things!"

When the girl returned her attention back to the mage, she seemed to be holding something out to her. After explanation, the girls expression simply lit up in a jubilate surprise. "Really? Thank you so much!" Lavi began to help the mage return her stuff to her pouch after clipping the hair-pin into the lesser side of her bangs, pinning it back. The girl giggled happily. She had always loved her hair, and putting accessories into one of her most favorite features made her light up with joy.

It was only a few moments afterwards that her older brother had appeared on the scene. A remark was made towards the mage, to which the princess replied. "I wouldn't mind being courted by Lady Han. She is very beautiful." She ran her hands along her hair, attempting to fix the few strands that had been put out of place from the nonchalant prince. Her spoiled expression immediately lit up when the Prince had mentioned the quest-goers. "Really? Then they'll be arriving soon?! I'm sure all of them will easily kill those enemies." She thought for a moment and then began to speak again. "Oh, also, will there be specified quest-goers to each royal? Or will they simply be traveling along with us? I'd really like to have a few closer to me." She added. [div class="Lines"][/div]

Sansa
The sudden surprise of combat stunned Sansa. For mere moments she was frozen in shock; within that time multiple creatures were able to charge for her until they were halted by a brilliant yellow shield that stood before her. This allowed her to stagger backwards to a safer position, which enabled her to draw the bow that lay strung on her back. She drew her bow, an exquisitely crafted wooden longbow nearly half her size. It contained many markings upon its exterior forming a zig-zag pattern of triangles down the shaft, dots were carved in the middle of each triangle and long elastic vine connected the two sides of the wood to make it into a bow. While Sansa should have been focusing on combat she watched Ricky defend her instead, contemplating how she should respond to the powerful warrior who had acknowledged her embarrassment and apparent greed. How the hell do I respond to that! she wondered in her head should she play it off like a hood over her face was just her cool look and nothing was wrong, or acknowledge that she did not have the best social skills. Definitely play it off.

As her defender was subdued by a skeleton Sansa quickly darted her hand to the colorful wooden quiver attached to her thigh, ripping an arrow from it. The quiver ran down the entire length of her thigh in order to house the elongated arrows her long-bow required. She notched the arrow back on the viney string with much difficulty. She could barely notch her bow back as it required much more strength than she could provide but once she did so she took a deep breath and aimed at the skeleton holding Ricky. Don't miss! Don't miss! Don't miss! repeated itself in her mind due to the grim thought of missing her arrow and obliterating one of her new companions. She released her arrow causing it to streak through the air and break right through one of the skeletons arms, breaking through the skeletons entire upper body breaking it to pieces, subsequently freeing Ricky.

Sansa took a sigh of relief then grabbed an another arrow from her quiver, notching it back in her bow which took a few moments. "I'm fine, Vincent! Hoods are just what all the... kids... are wearing." Sansa answered her voice slowly quietening down as she lost confidence in her words, she had no idea what to say. I'm such an idiot! She thought, Why did I just make myself seem like a little kid! She reprimanded herself for not thinking before she spoke. This was even more embarrassing than her introduction; she should just shut up and shoot from now on was the only thought that pertained itself in her mind. She quickly had let an arrow fly from her bow, barely piercing the shoulder of a goblin that had charged at her. That managed to hold it back for now but it would soon recover and charge for her. She drew an arrow but decided not to ready it for fire as the goblin would arrive before that could happen. She readied herself to stab the goblin that had managed to nearly get to her.

Ricky broke free from the skeletons grasp after Sansa fired a shot at them.

The blonde got his footing and struck at the remaining skeletons with his armoured glove.

The skeletons crumbled.

A goblin ran at Ricky, slashing at him. Ricky ducked under the slash and grabbed the monster's waist, pushing his own head towards the green creature's gut as he grabbed the foe.

Ricky lifted the goblin off the ground and slammed it into the floor of the dungeon. The goblin responded with a claw attack to the boy's gut. Ricky knocked away the goblins claw attack and then smashed the goblin with his metal gauntlet.

The monster defeated, Ricky grabbed its arms and swung the monster around in a circle, letting it go flying into a group of skeletons like a bowling ball.

The bone monsters went flying like bowling pins. "Strike!" Ricky said, posing valiantly in a victory pose.
