Praising people who punch Nazi's is wrong. Attacking someone based on their political beliefs is a petty thing to do and is counter productive to the conversation. The only thing your doing by attacking Nazi's is making their movement gain more momentum. Also blind hatred of rich people is just plain stupid.

dva Maybe, just maybe, physically attacking people on the basis of their political beliefs, regardless of what they believe in is against the law, and only fuels support for their movement? And maybe it's just morally wrong? Why not engage in a civil debate? Also, you are generalising the rich with a paintbrush based solely on how much is sitting in their bank accounts. There are rich people with poor upbringings who work hard to get to the economic status that they have achieved.

Punching Nazi's isn't wrong. No one is denying that they're bad people, but we are saying that it doesn't help anything, and makes the Nazi's look like victims.

I don't know where you're from, but the age of consent is under 18 in many (if not most) US states as well. I know for a fact in my state that it is only 16. There are also many Romeo and Juliet loopholes that allow sexual relationships with children as young as 14, so long as the older party is no more than 3-5 years older, depending on what state you're looking at. In Missouri these types of loopholes would allow someone who is 20 to engage in sexual activity with a child who is only 14.

Okay, that's disgusting. Where I'm from, the age of consent is 18. I've never looked into any loopholes, and now I'm mad I didn't.

Yeah, I was actually more surprised to find out there were states where the age of consent was 18 when I first looked into this, but the age of consent is still 16 in the majority of the US. Here's a good resource that has a map of the age of consent by state, as well as details some of the loopholes and specifics of the laws. In theory, Romeo and Juliet statues are in place to protect minors, or two people who are close in age (say, a 17-year old and their 18-year old partner) who both consent to sex, from being prosecuted for sexual abuse or misconduct, but in some states these loopholes start to get pretty sketchy. I can see a 16 and 18-year old being protected under this, but there's no way somebody could convince me that it would be appropriate for someone who is 20 to engage in sexual activities with a minor as young as 14.

You really need to revisit some history lessons that aren't taught by your government. Nobody who has experienced communism, except those controlling the state, have spoken of it with favor. Just travel to Venezuela, right now, and ask them how wonderful it is. And don't give me that 'real communism has never been tried' bullshit. That 'real communism' is the idealized, dream version of latte drinking hipsters, who never get out of their university 'studies'. As for National Socialism, Hitler's Germany gave a multitude of chances for Jews to piss off, and every aggression orchestrated by the NSDAP was reactionary to Jewish aggression. And unlike communism, which hates and tortures its own people, National Socialism puts its own people first. It has nothing to do with hating or exterminating others. Modern Nazis are something else. They are stupid, confused, illiterate morons, who have no deeper knowledge of history or the values they claim to support.

If your ideology or political beliefs are founded on the concept that there is an 'other' who is inferior, or 'degenerate', or what have you, it shouldn't be tolerated full stop. You can't debate with fascists and resisting them sure as hell doesn't help further their goals. The original Nazis definitely weren't stopped with "polite debate" though there were plenty who insisted this was the proper course of action back then too.

Modern Nazi's are different then Nazi's in the 30's and 40's. Also Nazi's are allowed to voice their opinions because of something called the 1st amendment. Banning speech would make a slippery slope where you can ban any speech that may or may not be offensive.
