The Kitty Soldier
Overview:
Our world is still at war; poverty rids our neighborhoods; illness and death still looms over every city; and there seems to be no hope for change or transformation. The next generation has become weak, born frail and helpless. The powerful and influential peoples of this century have labeled those that live with any sort of deficiency, terminal illness, or disability as ‘wasted space’ and ‘infectious beings’. The young that suffer believe the world is better off without them; until representatives from a government “underground” laboratory approach them.
When you are told something enough times, you tend to believe it…
With no other options to make themselves fit into a world in need of strength, intelligence, and bravery, our characters find themselves “volunteering” for this project, and becoming the labs newest test subjects. We were offered a second chance to prove ourselves worthy of living amongst the norms, to save the world, and end all the war. There was no other choice…
Prosthetic technology has become so advanced that it can even replace a human’s organs, with all the same functionality as the original but with added unique abilities and enhancements. Each individual has entered a world s/he can never escape. As government property, and equipped with new prosthetic technology, they have been enlisted as a new type of super soldier. Each Prosthetic Soldier carrying abilities that make them a powerful weapon against any opponent.
But…we still don’t know what we are fighting against? We are still new. What will we find at the end of the tunnel? Who are we helping?
Classified yet known to the top four scientists of the government lab, are files containing the history of a prosthetic test performed years ago. The volunteers from this first test were banished as ‘traitors’, ‘malfunctioned beings,’ and left more dysfunctional and broken than before. This is the enemy – this group of banished super soldiers is coming back with a vengeance the new team cannot comprehend. When one tries to ask a scientist about these enemy soldiers, a new subject clouds over.
What are they hiding?
They know their job, though, and that is to protect the people, government, and world from these evil soldiers that wreak destruction and ruin on the more fortunate. Ever so slowly, the peaceful loyal soldiers will unravel what war they are really fighting, and discover their true enemies.
