Printed Papers: Society's Secrets.

β€œThe brighter a lady shines, the faster she may burn.”
INTRO
The year is 1816, in an alternate reality with fictional places and history, and the annual social season is soon to begin. Whether you're a parent, duke, duchess, widower, or family friend- Someone you know is attending the debutante event, They must be surely excited to make their debut into society and potentially find themselves a fine match, but more then that; they must be curious what the Royal Family and the infamous Lady Meadow will think of them. Unlike any other Kingdom, in the Kingdom Of Asteria, A peculiar tradition has emerged in the form of a free newsletter headlining as Printed Papers. A pamphlet that records all the events of the social season and year, including the highs and lows, where no secret is safe and no scandal can hide. Considered the most popular piece of writing, Printed Papers written by the bashfully quiet Lady Meadow has the power to make their debut heaven or hell, and can destroy a person or family's reputation if it so wishes. As of yet, nobody knows who the writer is, besides their alias as β€˜Lady Meadow’ but their perception of events seems second to none. Regardless of all this, you have been invited to the capital to partake in this year’s social season. Bring your best outfits and put on your loveliest smile, because it's going to be an interesting turn of events.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Come one, Come all! Printed Papers is a slight open-world/SOL Regency RP set in 1816, If it wasn't obvious what show this RP is based on...ding ding ding, Bridgerton! In PP you will debut as a Lady/Lord, Live in Society as a Royal, or one of the vast upper titles from your family name or married role. Whichever it doesn't matter who you are, No one is safe from the heart-clutching letters of Lady Meadow, A Mysterious and Unkown person saddled right here in this very society that has all of the gossip they could hold. This RP is set in an alternative world, so the history/world is completely fictional. I would ask that you reserve not just debutants but also characters that have noble titles, such as; Baron/Baroness, Duke/Duchess, Viscount/Viscountess, etc. Royals are LIMITED and are not supposed to be easy to overthrow/court, and will require deep plotting to even have their role shaken.

The Land of Asteria, has been around for a very very long time, and is a staple of proud civilization. It is a Kingdom, currently ruled by a King and Queen including their Royal Family, they are both in their 10th year of rule. The Queen's predecessor was Queen Marina St. Rose The II, A formerly proud and boastful woman who ruled Asteria with an Iron-Fist until her assassination shortly after her daughter's birth alongside her Father eventually dying after of a broken heart- The current Queen, Queen Silvia St. Rose who claimed the throne at the tender age of 15. Being made Queen at such a young age put enough stress on her as she was expected to rule with grace at diligence before she could even reach adulthood- nonetheless she succeeded, married, and now has children of her own with the King. The kingdom is actually one of the strongest at the moment. Thanks to their vast growth and economic strength they are at the forefront of most things, especially technology and commerce. In trade, they are considered the central location, with most of their exports being in factory produced goods.

The Class system is also rather important. A high-class citizen is guaranteed to live the high life, while the middle-class populace enjoys a wide range of new and interesting hobbies imported from across the globe. As for the working class? Factory life, work down the mines, or plenty of opportunity serving in an esteemed family home are what they can look forward to. The Kingdom stands strong til' the current day, But who knows what the future holds? Only time will tell.

A Regency Drama.
