Juniper Kyteler, a 6th year Slytherin, arrived to her favourite class, Potions, slightly early. Her red hair was pulled up in a high ponytail. Today they were having class with the Ravenclaws, she preferred them over the other houses only because they often gave her good Potions advice. Juniper was a Slytherin but she was not like most of her classmates, she was not haughty but she was ambitious. She had dreams of becoming a Potions master just like their current Potions professor, Horace Slughorn.
The potions classroom was dark, the walls lined with shelves of glass bottles and containers, filled with different coloured liquids and ingredients. The floor and walls were made of stone and tables were organized in rows throughout the classroom. The scent of the variety of ingredients in the room filled the air with a unique aroma.
The Battle of Hogwarts had been a few years ago and the wounds of the past were beginning to heal. Hogwarts and its students had tried to move on but it was a slow process. Although her parents had not been deatheaters they were well known pure blood supramists and thus Juniper sat at a table by herself. She was shunned by her own house for her lack of loyalty to the pure blood supremacists ways or just because she was a bit more introverted than everyone else. The other houses shunned her due to her parents ideals. Either way it seemed she could not fit in. Meticulously the young witch laid out her potion equipment and tools and then sat down waiting for the rest of the class and the professor to show up.
