Davy's start of the day happened at around 6 am, where he began getting himself ready for school and everything else. Tuesday it was, so Davy ended up having Beauty Care, and then Battling 1. Beauty Care was fantastic, but too often did Davy wonder what it would be like if he ended up wearing these accessories for himself rather than his Pokemon. Curiosities of the mind. Battling 1 was fascinating, but it made him queasy watching the fights. At least he didn't have to worry about it. The aftermath of fighting was his favorite part as he got to tend to what needed to be tended to. Watching them, however? He wasn't particularly a fan of it, but he knew it was good for Pokemon growth, especially to help keep the Pokemon who want growth from stagnating and feeling uncomfortable with their lack of progress.

Then, there was Abilities. This was fascinating. Of course, just hearing it flew right over his head. If he couldn't experience it first hand or see the changes in the Pokemon physiology or behavior himself, he wasn't going to learn much. So, he had to do something about that.

Lunch came, and he let all of his Pokemon eat. The excitement of today left him unable to visit the greenhouse, as he had to mentally prepare for every class so he didn't lose out on any information. He was at least diligent in note taking, as he knew he would forget, his penmanship oddly nice for a rancher. Given it had to be legible for him to read it though as he'd forget what he wrote down, it wasn't too surprising.

When the clubs opened up, he realized he needed to setup a Daycare club...

Well... Technically it was a form of business, wasn't it?

Davy stopped upon seeing the greenhouse club and looked up to see Carter with two others he's never seen before. Remembering the time they had yesterday, of Davy saving him, talking forever, flying on Chase despite how terrifying it was, and uh... Carter falling on Davy, he had to come by.

Oh, free massages?

"Hi, may I have a massage?" He asked completely serious. He guessed it was probably for Pokemon if Carter was here, but it didn't hurt to ask. He could smell some of the scented essential oils and looked at them. "Oooh, these smell nice. Oh, hello. Hey, Ozzy." He waved at the other two club members, and then the Marowak, then realized...

"Is that all the members you have?" He asked Carter, completely unaware at the moment of whatever Carter's emotional state was because everything was happening around him and he was finding it a hard time in processing everything all at once. He finally remembered his manners and chuckled. "How are you doing, Carter? Sleep well?" He hoped he did, the state Carter left had him wondering if he was going to be alright for tonight. Not that there was anything he could do about it though.

A new day, new responsibilities.

Math was fun, and so was Biology. In fact, they were insanely easy. Computer Science and Coding was a bit really fun, but he found himself quickly getting bored when he wasn't being challenged in something he knew fairly well. He wondered what units they'd have later that could actually challenge him.

Then the clubs. Ohhhhh the clubs.

During lunch, he had gotten tables and stuff ready. Earlier that morning and during his computer science class, he had gotten some large signs made and pictures printed out. Since it was a video game club, the most he really had to give out were these blue stickers G gave him. Cute collectible, he guessed, but it wouldn't really spice anything up. Sadly, he couldn't bring over his consoles, as there were no plug-ins, and he wasn't about to drain his Helioptile of all the energy he had.

He did eventually set up a table, setting it up near a battle club to hopefully share in the crowd. Most who were competitive could potentially have a spark for video games, so he hoped his strategy worked. He had a clipboard with a table set up to write down names and games interested; a giant sign that had a cute, video game-y graphic that screamed the title of the club in all caps; generic pictures of people doing video game tournaments either on console or computer; and a stack of stickers he was supposed to give out to all who were interested. On the clipboard, there was a note that included where the video game club would be held, on what days, and what times, which he had asked Schnizderful to take over an adjacent computer room for the video game club. Thankfully, he agreed, but the way he looked at him had Noah wondering if Naka told him.

Either way, he was finally set up. Someone had rushed over to the battle stands and he called out the blond-haired kid. "Yo, ya look like ya got a competitive streak. Along with the battle club, wanna sign up for the video game club? Give yer Pokemon a break but still wanna get that competitive high?" He hoped that was enough to bring over Quentin.

On the table was his Kantonian Vulpix with five tails, Tails, and his Helioptile, Whipper-Zapper. The two Pokemon waved at Quentin and other people politely, making quite the racket to compete with the noise of the crowd to gather people over.

~Club fair day...~

Dolan sat there next to two club stands. The first club stand is the Good Life Club. A Bright purple, glittery table with various brochures listing all the ways to help you; From cardio workouts, to body building, to skincare routines, group get togethers where members come and share tips and advide, and more. Off to the side were small sample items that anyone could take. small handmade sample soap, coupons to the Hearthhome Sauna, bottles of water, rage candy bars and pencils that say "Good Life Club". A sign said "One of each per visitor".

With various plans, each one tailored to the individual club member as the purpose of the Good Life Club was to benefit each member on a personal basis. In the Good Life Club, no two club members have the same plan. One Club member may enjoy dieting and beauty care, while another focuses on weight training and exercise. Another club member may seek to improve their social skills. The Good Life Club is very well funded as Dolan can afford to see it funded himself.

"Welcome to the Good Life Club!
Wanna look your best self?
Do you wanna feel like your best self?
Be the best version of yourself?
Improve your quality of life?
Join the Good Life Club, you deserve it!

- Dolan Larch"

The Coordination Club table was had a long maroon cloth covering it, with various grooming tools, various types of pokemon foods, training programs pamphlets and more. Off to the side was a box full of rare candies. Another sign, "One per visitor"

There was also the Coordination Club. Dolan enjoyed the Coordination Club and had agreed to help set up the table and help anyone who had questions. The Coordination Club did help prepare people for contests and shows, but the Coordination Club was also much more than simple pageants and contests. The Coordination Club provided a perfect opportunity to strengthen one's bond with their pokémon. Improve their pokémon's quality of life, much how the Good Life Club helped the club members, the Coordination Club helped their pokémon! While many coordinators are in this club even battlers can appreciate this club as the bonds formed here can be used on a stage or even a battle field. Not to mention

"The Coordination Club welcomes you!
Wanna be a coordinator?
what about a pokemon champion?
The Coordination Club is all about
Forming bonds with your pokémon
That are useful anywhere you go!
Join the Coordination Club
If you care about your pokémon!"

Dolan sat there feeling relatively confident that people would enjoy these clubs. Or at the very least, would enjoy a few free items. It mattered not much either way. For now, he looked around, watched and waited with baited breath. A cheerful smile and a very friendly Arcanine, Rook to say hello to anyone walking over to the Coordination club to shake their hand/paw.

Bodie looked around, not a clue on what to do or where to go. Bonny sat on her head and neither were certain what to do. Bodie doubted she'd find a bug club, but maybe she could find a tech club...? She could help but wonder. She looked around. With all the different clubs, Bodie still couldn't figure out where to go first. So she stood there nervously looking around. Who was she kidding, club? She might as well just leave and head back to her dorm room. She looked back at the door and thought about it for a few minutes.

Clement
Strike Dorm
Date: August 14th Interactions: Altair ( Cresion Breezes Cresion Breezes )

She heard someone shouting upstairs as her fingers grasped the slightly cool coin. Picking it up as she moved closer toward the stairs, worried that someone had gotten hurt or in trouble. Clement took a few steps up the stairs. Before she could shout a question, a giant metal egg toppled down. Stunned, Clement didn't hear the warning from the silver-haired kid. With a crash and bang, the egg knocked her a few steps onto the ground and pinned her under it. The coin flipped out of her hand, landing tail-side-up near the door. Also, her pokeballs spilled out of her satchel as she hit the floor. Clement attempted to speak and push the egg off her, yet it was far too heavy. Kicking and struggling, Clement tried to speak underneath the egg, "Why is there a giant egg on me?! Did anyone else get hit?" Though, muffled noises were the only sound from her as the egg pushed down on her. She was still worried about if someone was hurt, slightly dismissive of her current predicament.

Amalthea, satisfied with her butterfly playtime, started strutting back to the door, seeing a coin hit the floor as she pushed into the slightly ajar doorway. Eventually, she saw Clement struggling under the giant egg. Amalthea's big eyes widened as she dashed over, futilely attempting to push the egg off Clem. The egg felt like it was made of complete steel, frustrating Amalthea as she continued to push. Amalthea looked toward the other pokeballs on the ground and tapped them to release Laika and Inari to help. After realizing what was happening, Laika went to start pushing, but Inari tugged them away for another reason. Laika looked into Inari's eyes and suddenly understood the idea, following Inari outside the dorm. Amalthea glared as the partners she thought would help had ditched her with Clem stuck under a large egg. Amalthea huffed, stomping her hoof before turning back to the egg, staring at it, unsure of what course of action would be best with this immovable oval.

Taking several steps backward, Amalthea tried running full speed at it to knock it off. With a loud thud, Amalthea fell to the ground after impact, the egg still unaffected. Her head was spinning after that attempt. She looked to the silver-haired kid with wide, teary eyes, begging for help. Amalthea was out of ideas, and Clement's struggle was doing nothing. She wondered if a Hone Drill could work, it's not like the egg would dodge, but she also didn't know if it'd even move the egg. Amalthea felt like she had used confusion on herself at this point with how her head started spinning from panic. Amalthea just hoped the kid had some magic super strong magnet for this situation. With Laika and Inari doing Arceus knows what, Amalthea had no other help, and her favorite was getting crushed as she struggled to do anything about it. She also felt partial blame as her playing with the butterfly might've caused a butterfly effect leading to Clement getting crushed by an egg. At least, she thinks that is how that works.

Even though Altair tried to warn the girl at the bottom of the stairs, it seems like it was in vain, as she didn't react to anything he said at all. He was quite blissfully unaware that he was part of a self-fulfilling prophecy and his shouting only lured her closer.

As he slid down the staircase railing the girl was already hit by the egg, and there were Pokemon gathered around her too. "Ughhh! Fricken'Arceus, why the hell!" Altair seemed somewhat frustrated at the other's airheadedness, but he didn't really continue as he knew this was mostly his fault. Instead, he leaped off of the stair railing and while in the air, slammed into the giant metallic egg with a kick using all his body weight and the acceleration of the slide. The egg tumbled a bit and off of the girl as the piplup and klefki that was tailing Altair tumbled and jingled down the stairs as well.

Altair straightened the egg, and there wasn't a single scratch on it despite just falling down the stairs and the was drop kicked. Honestly, it was acting like the antithesis of the eggs that they show in information videos and ranch commercials. The boy patted the egg and began the task of getting it up stairs again, but not before checking on the girl that it has hit. He half wanted to just walk away and see if he can evade this person for the rest of his life, but being in the same school and same house and all, that could prove much more difficult than evading someone in the biggest city in Unova.

"So...uhhh..." Altair kicked the floor a bit as he tried to think of something to say, he really hasn't dealt with situations like this before. "...Do you...have insurance?" That seemed like something the adults say after there was an accident on the road, the rich-looking adults too. "...You...you're not going to sue me...right? I don't have anything you can sue for anyways." He added rather awkwardly while tapping the metallic egg. "Umm, anyways...uhhh, I'm..." The words trailed off rather quickly as Altair seemed a bit flustered with the entire thing. "I-I guess I'm sorry? Okay? Look, like, just forget about this alright! I said I'm sorry!"

It was rather out of nowhere as Altair burst out the last sentence. Axel patted Clement on the leg on the leg gently with a flipper while Psion didn't even turn the entire bend of the stairs and just floated menacingly while overlooking the scene, but he seem to be simply lying in waiting for something to happen before making a move. Psion was Altair's partner in crime after all.

"Yawn--Like man, there sure are a lot more people here today. I wonder what's up." Alto stretched his arms and looked at the bustling path, he was at his usual spot where he put up his cart, but it seems like he had a lot more company today. It was good that he slept a lot in berry class today, he didn't really understand how can people not be able to identify berries based on their texture and scent, it was the most obvious thing ever. At least it gave him the energy to run the biz a bit more today. He was half talking to himself and half talking to his equally absent-minded seeming pokemon that were hanging out around the cart.

"I wonder if they're going to buy anything, haha- Oh, welcome." A few students walked up to the cart, they seemed rather new and likely didn't know what Alto did, simply taking him as another club proprietor. They eagerly asked about what club he was running out of this rustic cart that was filled with herbal medicine and berries. The constantly half-closed eyes of Alto widened a bit for a moment and then narrowed again, he seemed to have, in a rare occasion, remembered something. "Oh yeah, yeah, I know now, it's club day, haha." He said lazily before getting behind the cart and pulling out a sign to replace the normal sign with. It was rather lavish. "I remember now, I even borrowed a computer to make a club sign haha, it's like so...di-gi-teal? Yeah, haha."

MXuWuLC.png

It was in a rather strange font and had a rainbow gradient over it, and a drop shadow that was way too many pixels off.

Cally the Malamar put up the sign, moving and steadying it with his psychic powers abilities before glancing at Alto, who in turn responded despite the former Pokemon not seem to have said anything. "Mhmm? I'd say about like...two members this year? That's like, including me of course, haha. That'll be a new record."

The few students who walked passed looked at each other rather confusedly.

"Hmmm? Oh, it's alright haha, you can buy without being in the club. And like, I'll be righttttt here whenever you need me haha, those guys won't."

Dewey the sobble

First day of school! Elliot was up far too early, his sobble was still fast asleep on his pillow by the time he had dressed, packed his bag and put his shoes on.
Dewey finally opened his eyes when he heard his trainer come back over to the bed.
"Come on boy! We can't be late on our first day!"

Dewey stretched, yawned and gave Elliot a supportive smile before clambering up onto his backpack.
Breakfast was toast with peanut butter. Nothing fancy, but Elliot had made it himself.
"Just think of all the things we'll have to learn to do by ourselves." He mused over the food. In his father's house, everything was done for him. This would be a big chance.
The room he'd been give here was the size of one of his closets back home, but to Elliot, it felt much bigger, because this room was entirely his.

Nothing was going to be held over him, there was no threat to take anything away. What he had here? It wasn't much, but it was all his.

Elliot took notes like his life depended on it. He was the first to raise his hand if he new an answer and during the group work, he made sure to pull his weight.
Stay out of trouble. That's what he had promised, and that's what he intended to do.

The introduction classes were pretty relaxed, and during one of them the teacher actually dismissed them so they could check out the club fair.
"The battle club, that's definitely one I'm joining." Elliot said aloud as he approached it. There was one boy already there.
"Hi! I'm Elliot, are you signing up too?" He gave Quentin a friendly smile.

Elliot glanced around, hoping to see the Ignite girl he'd met yesterday, maybe he could make good on his promise to battle if she was around.

Just then a familiar voice drew him over to the next booth.
"Oh! Dolan!"

Dewey nearly overbalanced on the backpack as Elliot hurried over.
"You run the coordinator club?" Elliot asked, and then he saw Rook and a huge grin broke out onto his face.
"Show me the signup sheet! What do you think Dewey?"

The sobble looked much happier about being in a contest club than he had over at the battling club table.

"Can you show me some moves?" Elliot asked, eager to see an example of what coordination actually was.

Carter spotted Davy coming over and his face lit up.
"Davy! Hi!"
It was while Carter was desperately trying to think of something more to say that Davy asked his question. Carter froze.
"I...what? You? A massage..." The stammering continued, meanwhile Ozzy replied with a wave:
"Maroro! Maro!"

Carter's reaction drew the attention of his club mates.
"Kelly, what am I watching right now? I think that guy just broke Carter." Taneh glanced over at the red-haired girl.
She looked up from her berry plant.

"Oh boy. We'd better help him."
Taneh put both hands to his mouth. "Man this is too much, Carter has a crush? Can you believe?"

"Don't tease him about it now, he'll probably die of embarrassment."
It was Kelly who eventually stepped up, while Carter was trying to answer that he slept well.

"Yeah, good, slept...I mean slept well, I did...yeah..."

Kelly gave Davy her brightest smile. "Hey! Thanks for your interest, but we're actually not really qualified to give massages to people, pokemon only, however, if you have any pokemon, Carter's one of the best on campus!" She patted Carter's shoulder sympathetically.

Carter shut up as soon as Kelly began talking, nodding along while still red in the face. It took Ozzy prodding him with his bone club for him to regain a shred of composure.
"Yeah, this is all of us...for now. People like using the daycare service, but nobody seems to like plants enough to help out. Oh! That reminds me..."

Carter fished through his lab coat pocket and drew out a white, plastic card. It had a green stripe and a stylized plants on one side. Davy's name was printed on the front.
"Your greenhouse access card." Carter presented it to him with a smile.
"They fixed it just before lunch, now you can come and go whenever you want. You...are signing up for the club right?"

Technically, greenhouse technicians and volunteers were separate from the greenhouse club, so Davy didn't need to join, but Carter looked up at him hopefully.
They really needed the members. "We get extra funding for each name on the list."

"Yeah, and we're saving up to put in an electric pokemon charging station for the daycare. Charge your pokemon, and your phone all at once!" Taneh added, putting his best salesman voice into the last few words.

"We're still workshopping the idea." Carter told him, glancing back at his friend. "Davy, this is Taneh, and this is Kelly. They've been club members about as long as I have. You'll probably see them around."

"We'll definitely see you around." Taneh laughed. "Damn, what've they been feeding you? Carter, this guy could build the rock garden by himself."
Carter elbowed Taneh subtly.

"Good day to you, young man! How are you doing today, Eliot?" Dolan asked. As he spoke he slid the sign in sheet to Eliot. He then reached for the box with rare candies. He held up a small piece of candy in a blue wrapper.

"I don't say I run the coordination club, but I do my fair share of helping out. The club itself is mostly independent coordinators and trainers that come together to create strong friendships with their pokémon. Which is great for contests! Oh, and here's a free candy" Dolan said extending the rare candy to Eliot.

"I'd be glad to show you some moves, later on of course when we have more time. Your friend Dewey will be looking like a champ in no time. In the meantime, the coordination club would love to have you join us! Feel free to ask any questions or visit whichever club that tickles your fancy" He said, giving a friendly smile to the sobble. Rook gave a bark in confirmation.

Joss Vanberg ~ Purity Dorm
03B1EA8E-2929-4DF8-A4F1-4CD7CE06F57C.png

Joss had chilled inside his dorm room with his Pokémon out and about the floor as the young guy watched one of his favored classics. Spheal and Wooper playing about the floor as Swinub cuddled up next to Joss on the beanbag. It was a chill, typical night back for the third year dorm mate. Day two however….. well, what a unexpected adventure this would turn out to be for the purity dorm third year.It began rather normally for him, he woke up casually taking his time getting ready for classes and what not, no rush, all chill and going with his natural flow. There was no way he’d get detention first day if he was a bit late and he never turned down some extra Z’s even if it could prove troublesome for him later.

He sailed through each class as normal, casually listening while resting his head on the desk and appearing to be napping. Oh sure, he still mostly heard all the details but first day wasn’t generally that big of a deal to him and his minds way of thinking. After all, it was all pretty casual stuff and getting reorganized and structured for the new school year…. It wasn’t like his grades suffered much at all. He always seemed to do fine surprisingly enough if often late with his work being turned in… But it’s done and that’s what is most important, right? A few minutes or hours maybe days late…. It’s all good bro. He could recall earlier years when teachers questioned whether or not he cheated somehow, yet they could never prove it and joss personally found that to be too much extra work. Who’d want that?

As various classes and experiences went by during that first day of studies, homework or what have you. Joss left his last class room allowing Wooper, Spheal and Swinub out for some free roam as they left the class and went through the school halls, weaving in and out before reaching the doors, pushing them open feeling that bright sun shine down upon his face causing him to left a hand to mellow the harsh on his eyes after being indoors so long. Yet he welcomed the fresh air with a deep breath in and exhale happily returning to his normal chill expression and features as he wandered outside and deeper into the wild fair jungle that engulfed them.

The signature beanie, necklace and usual shoulder bag in tow. While a old acoustic guitar was carried at his back via a old worn strap, true vintage would be the phrase Joss would use to describe his axe. Which really was just a cooler way of saying one mans trash is another mans treasure which also was just another way of saying he found it in a trash can one day and decided to take it since it wasn’t going to be wanted anymore, leading to a decent amateur restoration job by the boy himself… a developing skill he didn’t even know he had til then and still doesn’t think much about it or consider it a skill or talent exactly. Just time put into the find and attempting something he hadn’t really done before…. No skill in his opinion. Though it was a decent job and the guitar was in working order and looked the part.

Walking over as casual as casual can be amidst the bustling crowd of students, staff and club for tables and stands with signs along with all kinds of Pokémon helpers and partners. Joss weaves in and out some more with a quiet calm about him with a touch of distant aloofness in his eyes or perhaps more so the appearance of someone that’s not fully in this reality and appears more sleepy glazed then present yet he still managed to move about easily enough all things considered, so somewhat present.

Making for the academy fountain in front of the main building, grabbing at his guitar and drawing it out from over his shoulders while mindful of his bag. Sitting himself down in front of the fountain, back leaning against the fountain itself as Wooper hopped in and chilled in the small pool of water, happily floating on his back and squirting up small bursts of water up into the air as Spheal sat upon the fountain over Joss’s left shoulder simply happy and with a big smile just glad to be out and feeling the sun and fresh breeze come over him. Meanwhile Swinub perhaps the chillest of the group and most quiet of the trio once again found himself resting near Joss and climbed up to his right shoulder to rest himself. While Joss began to softly play a tune on his guitar..

🎶 We’ll do it all
Everything on our own,
We don’t need anything or anyone

If I lay here, if I just lay here…. Would you lie here with me and just forget the world? 🎶

Joss began to play and sing aloud with a air about him that wasn’t fully aware of his surroundings or seemed to mind all the people wandering about the club fair around him. Although he soon paused coming to notice a small gathering stopping before him and the fountain, Spheal growing curious and offered a friendly smile. While Swinub merely acknowledged yet remained quiet and reserved. Wooper continued about his merry way floating atop the pool of fountain water and shooting streams of water into the air. One of the students was a boy named Zeke, a third year like Joss from Ignite dorm and a classmate from one of the classes he took this year and shared with the boy. Zeke and his Slugma wandered up and spoke, “Wow! I thought you were just doing the surf club, didn’t know you were Music club too… far out man! Let’s rock!” The ignite student excitingly spoke aloud.

Joss meanwhile looked confused and narrowed his brow partially, while looking to Swinub then Zeke and his Slugma as well as all the others who gathered around him. ‘Music club too…?’ Joss repeated in his mind oblivious as to what that meant. He wasn’t apart of any club, was he? He liked surfing, loved it really…. But club? He couldn’t recall anything about a surf club or saying he was going to join one. He definitely didn’t want the extra work of creating one. “Wha-“ He began to reply before being interrupted by Angelo the fourth year Strike dorm and music club founder or least the current club leader. “Hey, thanks man! I didn’t think about putting on a small concert to garner attention for the club. I didn’t even know you wanted in. Props on the extra details man! Way to go! Let’s rock on!” He added and threw up a rock on handsign. “Great use of the extra sign there too! Total genius and adapting to the environment man around you.” Angelo approved further. Meanwhile Joss only became more confused and unsure of what they were all talking about at this point….

‘Concert? Sign? What…. What-‘ Joss thought confusingly to himself before eyes widened in shock and paused his thoughts in witness and realizing what was going on…. While Zeke chimed in again. “Yeah… first the surf club idea in class and total motes to make it happen and now this…. Totally cool and wild man! A visionary!” The ignite added on just as Joss came to realize on his left was a sign sitting next to him against the fontnain that read *Join the Music Club today* A simple but clear meanining on a extra sign Angelo apparently had laying about while he looked over to in front of him and trying to see over and through and around the group that gathered around him, noticing further the music club stand was set up right in front of the fountain side that he was on. “WHOA…..” He exclaimed scratching his beanie topped head.

“Yeah… Oh?! Also I totally got you a stand set up next to the music club stand coincidentally and all things worked out and signed up for with the committee group over there…. We’re all good and official now. All yours to handle now man! Let’s do this thing!” He hopped up and rocked out with a jammin nod with his Slugma. While joss turned his wide eyed *whoa-what?* gaze toward Zeke. “Totally thought you were napping for a sec in class. But when you started talking about and surfing then agreed to starting one when we chatted… I got it all up and running quick. Guess you weren’t catching some Z’s after all, huh?” Zeke spoke clearing it all up to Joss who only grew wider of gaze and shock.

“Whoa…..Wild!” He responded with a wild head shake as he first spoke. ‘Oh man…. Total bummer on all the extra work…. My nap vibes are too inspiring and strong, man.” He thought to himself not wanting to bum out Zeke and disappoint Angelo by clearing things up and making light of this misunderstanding. They both seemed rather stoked and looking forward to it all…. While grateful on one hand for the extra attention and all the new additions to the music club. While Angelo and others spoke on joining the surf club too. Forming a long line alongside the music clubs growing line. ‘Surf…. Does the lake even get waves? I don’t recall any narly waters here…. Can we surf on chill waters…. Wouldn’t that just be chillin top a surf board and make it a beach club of sorts?’ Joss pondered and questioned seriously still confused and amazed at how all this seemed to happen. A totally wild unfolding of events….’Life is something else…. Man, does life just seem to happen to me like this… I don’t think I’ll ever get how.’ He continued in thoughts while chuckling red in the face and scratching his head a bit as simply said “Cool…. Bro…” while trying to hide his total uncertainty and confusion about all this or how it would work and how it’s unfolded so far without his intention of any of that happening like it did… simply coincidence and timing with his unawareness creating it all.

Somehow he went from chillin outside with no clubs to having two clubs with one he now was running apparently or was atleast in charge of as leader….

Quentin looked up from his phone over at Noah. "Y'know, um, it's not just me that likes battling, my pokemon love it, too. Right, guys?"

Steelhead and Queenie peeked out from under the table, nodding.

"And besides," He continued, "I'm not that much of a gamer, I mean, I'm not very good at 'em.."

When Elliot showed up at the battling table, he looked up at him. "Um, yeah. You're big on battling, too?"

"I'm doing just fine. I'm happy if Dewey's happy." Elliot replied.
"Um, you don't have to be good at coordinating to be in the club do you? 'Cause I've never done it before..."
Elliot took a candy and offered it to his sobble, but Dewey turned his head away.

Elliot's brow furrowed, but he replaced the candy, giving Dolan an apologetic shrug.

The battling table was right beside him, and he glanced back at Quentin as he spoke.
"Yeah! Well, I want to be at least. I only have Dewey for now. I'm hoping to catch some more pokemon during some of our field trips."
Elliot caught sight of the pokemon under the table and his eyes brightened.
"Are those your pokemon? They look so cool!"

Quentin nodded, listening to Elliot intently. When he mentioned his pokémon under the table, he smiled.

“Oh, yeah, they’re my best friends, they’ve been with me since I was a little kid. They’ve grown quite a lot.” He pointed his thumb at Excalibur, who was sleeping on Quentin’s back. “This is Excalibur. I’ve had him the longest, these two are Steelhead and Queenie.” He said, gesturing to the two under the table.

“Lairooon!” Steelhead said cheerfully.

"Hmph, laaaaame." The boy jumped off of the stair rail of the main building after sliding down, he kicked open the door and let it slam behind him. He hopped off the stairs four ot five steps at a time, behind the trainer a round Piplup bounced and tumbled after. "Everything they teach in school is soooo pointless, I should've gone to the one in Paldea, at least they let us frick'en go outside!" He complained as Psion the klefki hovered beside him, the sound of jingling keys. There was some commotion going around in front of the main building, some sort of...club fair. Altair has seen those in some weird Unovan musicals where students of a school regularly broke into song and dance, though he always knew that wasn't anything close to the truth.

He walked along the path a bit, looking around at the signs, some of them had words he didn't really understand or were way too long-winded for him to care. Until Psion used one of his tendrils to tug the trainer toward a certain direction. It was a booth for a "battling club", which seemed par for the course for a school where many students are trainers. Altair shrugged and went along, and made sure to pick up Axel the piplup so he wouldn't be washed away by the crowd.

"...Umm...That is a...battling club?"
He mumbled while cautiously shuffling towards the booth. There were quite a few people there already, given the popularity of pokemon battles in general, and most of them had their pokemon out as well, making the area even more crowded. There was a boy another his age with a blue pokemon on his shoulder speaking to another trainer. Psion seemed quite excited at the sight of other pokemon, he bobbed and weaved his tiny key-ring body through the crowds of people towards the booth, and began to fiercely jingle the various keys collected on his body at the small blue pokemon.

"H-Hey! Don't just-" Altair tried to reach out and grab the fairy ring, but being a human his stature prevented him from doing so. However, Axel the piplup that was in his arm wiggled a bit before jumping off of Altair's forearm and grabbing onto his teammate's body. The round key ring struggled to stay afloat while a round blue pokemon held onto his metal surface with slippery flippers. In a few moments, the klefki was dragged down by the piplup's weight and both pokemon fell to the ground, although it wasn't as high of a fall as either anticipated due to there being another pokemon sitting nearby, a lairon that likely belonged to one of the trainers at the booth.

Altair pushed through the other students and grabbed onto the ring of the keyring pokemon like a steering wheel. "Ha! Gotch'u!" Psion squirmed a bit before finally settling down. "Can you just NOT?" The trainer exclaimed. "Pip pip, piplup." Axel rolled himself off of the lairon and added in agreement while patting the large steel type in apology. It took a moment for Altair to realize that he had actually made it in front of the booth and had likely cut in line several times. He looked around awkwardly before backing up, still grasping the klefki in his hands.

"...Right...He's just a bit...excited about battling? Um...Sorry? About that? My bad? I guess." Altair shrugged and tried to defuse the awkwardness, but he had a feeling it only made things worse. Psion, however, seemed quite proud as he raised his tendrils as if in celebration, then flailed them at the pokemon nearby again as Altair tried to pull him away.

As the Klefki and the Piplup landed on him, Steelhead and Queenie tried to get them off, but were not trying to hurt them.

Excalibur, however, will not be as peaceful. He woke up, seeing a trainer charging towards them, possible towards Quentin. That would not be tolerated. Quickly, he unsheathed his blades, crossing them loudly in front of Quentin.

Quentin jumped a little, startled. “Hey- quit that. No one’s gonna hurt me, okay? You can just cool it.”

“Doublade!” He replied, sheathing the blades once again, but still wary.

Quentin folded his arms across his chest, looking down at the ground. “Yes, this is the battling club..” He sighed. “You’re fine, sorry Excalibur overreacted a little.”

Looking around a bit more, Noah was able to find people he recognized. Some more so than others. Dolan was manning two club stands with help from his Arcanine and a few others. Some good life stuff and coordination. Hah, funny. His good life advice better be tolerable. Alto and his Malamar had their set up for appreciation stuff and herbs. That’s cool. A girl with a Nincada seemed confused and honestly anxious. Yeah, there were quite a few people out. Elliot with his Sobble on his shoulder had come by to the battle club next to him after checking out Dolan’s stand, and was talking to a blond guy with a Lairon, Seadra, and Doublade. The same guy Noah tried to get over here.

Aww, he wasn’t that good at gaming? He shrugged. “Oh well.”

He also saw a really tall guy talking to that doctor guy with the Marowak who’s been here for a while at the Greenhouse club. Joss had somehow helped two clubs without even trying. Poor guy.

That was until one of their new Strike members came around with his Piplup and Klefki, which caused Quentin’s Doublade to act out. Sighing, Noah left his stand slightly, only leaning against the edge of the table to watch. “You guys alright over there?” He called out to Elliot, Altair, and Quentin, hoping things were okay.

He looked around to see the same girl with the Nincada and he motioned for her. “Yo, ya alright? Need some help choosin'?” Hey, maybe he can get this Ignite girl to join the video game club.

Damn, where was G?

Everything was getting a bit much. Davy was having a really hard time focusing on just Carter and his two helpers. While he can handle crowds if he had a destination in mind or when it involved Tauros, it was extremely difficult to handle anything else that didn’t give him some form of distraction. Carter was a wonderful distraction, but that didn’t help him from feeling rather out of place. Or maybe too into place, if that even was a problem.

He felt like he was getting a little swept away.

There were two stands made by that cool Dolan guy, and he was tempted in getting a Rare Candy for his Azurill. A poor girl with her Nincada he noticed from the theater yesterday seemed to be on the same page as him - overwhelmed. A weird guy with his Malamar made a stand for Psychic Pokémon and herbs. There seemed to be a commotion happening at the battle club with some guys Doublade, Lairon, and Seadra, another kid’s jingling Klefki and Piplup, and another kid’s Sobble. Someone next to them on another stand - video games? - was watching them with his Vulpix on the table and a Helioptile on his shoulder. Music happened, but it was short lived as the guy somehow stumbled upon having two clubs made.

It was just, too much.

But, Davy braved it. He used a lot of energy to focus on what Carter and his friends were saying, even accepting the card from Carter once he got his bearings back. At least Carter was doing alright, and that was all he needed to know, giving the guy a heartwarming smile.

When the confusion was cleared up by Kelly, Davy widened his eyes, then laughed heartily. “OH! Haha, sorry about that. I guess I didn’t read it fully.” He listened as hard as he could, even finding the simple information hard to grasp.

What he did manage to gleam was that they wanted him to sign up, something about people needing help with plants, extra funding from each person who signs up, something about… A charging station? While he doesn’t know much about how electricity worked in general, he did know how it affected the Pokémon’s body. Sorta. He took care of Zebstrika before.

He was introduced to the two, and he waved at them with a sweet smile. “Nice to meet you both.” Taneh’s joke had him laughing and - on cue - a Miltank popped from his hip and landed beside him, giving Taneh a very overdramatic bow, with Davy patting her head. “Yup, Moomoo Milk mostly. Also, just some darn good gen-tics… Wait, no… Gen.. Genetics. Yes.” He chuckled at his own mishap, which he fixed because he didn’t want to make Carter cringe at his pronunciation. His Miltank walked over to Ozzy and waved at him.

He looked around at the crowd again with some anxiety tensing his jaw, and Bessy mooed with some concern, taking Davy’s hand and trying to pull him behind the stand. “Whoa, hey now, I gotta ask first.” He chuckled, Bessy’s pulling on him making him not budge an inch except moving his arm. He looked at the three humans with an awkward sort of smile, clearly out of his element. “So, is it alright if I just kinda… Sit here with you guys? I’m uh… Not usually this used to huge crowds. It’s a little hard to concentrate. Or I can help with whatever needs to get done at the greenhouse.” He asked, hoping it was all good. Just anything to get away from the stresses of the crowd.

"That's fantastic news, I'm glad your doing well thus far... That's okay...! Your friend has different taste buds is all. Not at all! You welcome in the Coordination club with or without experience! You technically don't even have to be interested in contests, so long as your interested in creating strong bonds with your pokemon. But clearly Contests are my favorite part! Your always welcome! If you'd like to get coordination experience, I'd love to help you with that! And if you don't, your still welcome either way!" He smiled and grinned. He glanced over at Quintin. He had been speaking with Elliot.

"Good to see you again" Dolan said, giving a friendly wave. There was another boy with a klefki who seemed to notice Elliot.

"Well aren't you popular" Dolan chuckled as he spoke to Elliot. He then glanced over again and noticed Noah. He smiled and waved at him. It was the friendly neighborhood residential assistant going around checking on others, being helpful as usual. Which was probably why he was made residential assistant to begin with.

"W-well... Sure. I'm not sure what club to join. I know I don't want to join the battle club. and I'm not sure where to look" Bodie said. "What club should I join?" She asked.

Vennin Von’Vusso~ Strike Dorm
7DA35460-66CC-469B-AA30-3AD57C4147A9.jpeg

It had been awhile since the last club fair, a year actually, although he couldn’t quite recall the last time he took part in club activities or spent time outside of a classroom really apart from training with his Pokémon and taking care of his team through their various ages and evolutions, diets, etc. Vennin could recall once being apart of the Battle club or some variation of it atleast….. though truth be told Vennin had been attending the academy for years now for all he knew it could been a entirely different version and leader back then. But nonetheless it was one such club he recalled being apart of although those years ago. A youthful strike team student venturing into fierce waters and bracing for impact on each crashing successive wave determined to overcome and win each challenge til reaching the shores of victory and certain futures…… Those were the days. However routine of excessive classes, taking in new Pokémon and adjusting diets, finding the right training method for each in tailoring it custom for each member of his team…. It all took time and his perfectionist, overachiever tendencies were rather much. Too much for taking part in regular club activities. All in aim to achieve complete preparation and all around knowledgeable success in the here and now so that tomorrow would be better prepared and more strongly inclined en route towards ultimate success and achievement.

Now days though he felt an urge to socialize more without the facade of whatever acts tickled his fancy to entertain himself. Never intending harm by any means just mischief and joy through the humbling of others. It was a service really when you thought about it. And Vennin was always ready and willing to provide such a service without a single fee for admission to his show. But as was being said, Vennin felt an urge with all his new found free time and dwindling of classes to just a handful, he saw reason and time to perhaps join a club of some kind or attempt to get involved more with the academy that’s treated him pretty well over the years if he just say. Patient too when it comes to his antics that resides outside of his norm of kind and stoic nature that was dead focused on his goals, studies and Pokémon’s welfare.

Breè ever proud, confident and feeling herself rather extra shaky and confident today as she walked in stride alongside her trainer. The pair nimbly weaving in and out of crowds, eyes gazing around to catch glances of the various clubs advertising their stands. Excitement seemed to carry filling the air with a certain aura that could easily be picked up on and caught til the end for a lively time if one felt open to it. Vennin at one point even thought he heard a guitar playing and someone singing before deciding it was just his imagination or perhaps they stopped already with that crowd near the fountain? He couldn’t really say.

“A Penny for your thoughts, Breè? I could use a idea or two to help decide. Besides the same one you give every year around this time. And have for the past several days already.” Vennin spoke not expecting an answer but was hopeful for one regardless. The Umbreon merely gave a silent look up with her head on a tilt, pondering on whether or not she’d offer any advice or ideas of her own outside of the usual anyhow. “Um… Bree….. Umbreon.” She replied almost a bit surprisingly to Vennin who glanced down to double check if it was indeed the Breè or someone else’s Umbreon by mistake. “Oh?! I was half expecting you to still chime in with your choice. But thank you, Miss Breè! Rather sweet of you to suggest.” He smiled slightly and held back a chuckle. Appreciative yet amused in shock by the change over clubs. “A greenhouse hasn’t really crossed my mind before…. But I suppose whatever they may do there, I could learn of the different climates and maybe the closer look at how the nature of each appeals to-…… Aaaannnddd…. I lost you haven’t I?” He shook his head and chuckled quietly to himself. Well atleast she offered something outside of the norm. It wasn’t a bad idea either. Although he wasn’t entirely sure what all they might do in a greenhouse club besides plants and more plants as well as maybe ties to the solar and environmental efforts of the academy. He was sure he could make use of some learning up close how different Pokémon respond to different environments well besides that of which he’s seen already and may also fit the basics of it all.

And who knows maybe Daisy would enjoy one of the climates at the greenhouse while taking a break from assisting Vennin in keeping the others in some form of order and peace. Limiting the amount of mischief and antics filled handfuls they could be at times. Not to mention Grif and Talis might enjoy it too. While Sal would go anywhere for food or where food might be and his family will be. Breè was the only wildcard……. She’d either tolerate it for Vennin and the others or find something to like about it while being her natural self. Though they’d been around for years now….. Surely he’d been there more then once or twice right?

Besides the greenhouse and trying something new what else? That would be the question on his mind as the pair wandered about the campus grounds looking at the various clubs about the fair and other students wandering around signing up for new clubs and joining others.

If Carter had spent less time staring at the ground he might've noticed sooner, but he picked up on something when Davy's miltank appeared. He watched her behaviour carefully before his eyes drifted back up to her trainer.
Taneh opened his mouth to answer, but Carter beat him to it.
"Of course you can sit here."

Carter lead Davy behind the table, where the crowds weren't permitted. It was lucky their table place backed up onto the grounds, where a large, shady tree offered a bit of solace from the people and the sun.

Ozzy raised his hand at Bessy in way of greeting. The Alolan marrowak behind him began flexing to try and make her laugh. Ozzy poked him in the stomach and he deflated comically. They both laughed together.

The shade was much cooler, and peering at the crowds drifting by on the main path, it felt set apart.
"I can't leave the other club members." Carter said reluctantly. It was clear he would much rather take care of Davy in that instance, but he had made a commitment to his friends. "How are you feeling Davy? Better?" His voice was gentle and concerened, much more like the way he spoke to pokemon than people.

He shook his head like a worried parent. "If you knew you weren't too good with crowds, why'd you come here?"

"Hey! Carter! Water!" Carter turned to catch the ice cold water bottle that Taneh tossed at him. He offered it to Davy.
"If you're interested in some other clubs, I could go get some of their flyers for you. Just don't push yourself, k?"

Ozzy listened as the Alolan Marrowak told the pokemon a funny story, but all of a sudden, a different noise drew his attention.
It was the sound of a guitar over by the fountain. Ozzy was entranced, and walked a few faces towards it, to the edge of the shade of the tree they were under.
The sunlight stretched out before him on the grass, right up to where the fountain jets sparkled and the boy with the guitar played.
When he stopped it was like Ozzy had been released from a spell, though he still looked longingly at the guitar.

Davy was wondering if Carter was okay. He seemed preoccupied, but that changed on a dime when he helped him. He followed Carter, feeling the overwhelming emotional turmoil of just everything get left behind and he took a deep sigh of relief. Resting his back against the tree, Davy slid down and rested against it, eyes drooping closed with the comfort of nature lulling him to sleep.

Bessy noticed the Alolan Marowak try to flex, and she gave the Fire/Ghost-Type a wink before running off to sit beside Davy, laying down and resting her head on his lap, huffing with concern.

Davy opened his eyes once Carter spoke, and he gave him a sweet smile. “It’s okay. You got responsibilities, I can’t take you away from those.” When he asked how he was, Davy breathed again a bit easier, then chuckled. “Yeah. Ya’know, I normally would have a lot of energy that would take me until dusk, but I’m having a hard time staying awake. Stress is fascinating.” He chuckled, shaking his head.

He did catch the added care in his tone. It made Davy feel a bit better, but it also made his cheeks warm and pinkish. He took the water, but didn’t open it yet. “Thanks, but I think I’m good for now. I’ll figure out the club thing later. I only really want to join one, which was why I was here. And to see you again.” He gave him another cheeky smile. “But it was because I was worried. You sounded so stressed yesterday, I was wondering if you were going to sleep worse last night. He didn’t say what happened, but the memory played in his head all the same. Still, the happy memory had been colored with concern because of how abashed Carter was when he dragged Ozzy away.

He fiddled with the water bottle in his hand, oddly fixated on the small clicking noise it made when he pressed it a certain way. “I was afraid I hurt you or something like that…” He muttered, feeling his cheeks get warmer. He then occupied himself with staring off at the club fair and sighed. “It’s getting harder to tell people’s emotions, not because it’s a new area, but because there’s just so many people here… Festivals and stuff when it comes to Tauros, I can handle, but when it comes to just having a large number of people doing their own thing with no focus, or with any shared or expected emotions, I feel bogged down, like I’m walking through a swamp.” He then let out a small chuckle and shook his head. “Plus, battling class made me queasy, so I’m still trying to process my emotions then.” He sighed.

He realized he rambled and he shook his head. “Sorry, you should probably go help your friends.” He added, giving Carter a stronger smile. “I’ll be right here. I doubt I’ll be moving anytime soon.” He laughed a little, feeling his mind finally get some reprieve and gift him with exhaustion.

Elliot waved at Quentin's pokemon cheerfully.
"They look like your best friends." Elliot grinned.

When Dolan explained the contest club Elliot's smile broadened. "That's exactly what I want! I want Dewey and I to be best friends."
He lifted the little sobble from behind his shoulder and gave him a hug.
Dewey's smile could have outshone the sun. Clearly the pokemon hoped for the same thing.

A distance comotion made Elliot look just in time to see another boy pushing through the crowd. The pokemon he was after had landed on Quentin's lairon.
Elliot watched, unsure of whether or not he should help.

"Your pokemon looks like quite a handful." Elliot gave the new boy a friendly, supportive smile. "Are you here for the battle club too?"

Elliot was impressed with the way Quentin's doublade jumped up to defend him.
"Your doublade seems pretty brave. Was it always like that? Or, did you train it?"
Somehow he couldn't see Dewey doing that, but, Dewey had...other qualities.
The little sobble clambered out of Elliot's arms and hid behind his neck, peeking out from under his hair.

"Aw, hey Dewey, don't worry, you're ok."

Elliot glanced back at Dolan. "I'd love some advice on contests, and I wanna sign up too."
He took the pen and scribbled his name down on the signup sheet.

There was a girl sitting at the battle club table. Her hair was died bubblegum pink and her sweatshirt and jeans were ripped. Her croagunk reclined in a smaller chair beside her.

"Hey guys, we're running exhibition matches today, over there." She pointed to just behind the table, where two older students were facing off in the green space between the trees.

"Okay Herdier! Go in for a tackle!"
"Litleo! Noble roar!"

Elliot watched them battle with stars in his eyes.
"You can join." The girl said.
"W-what?"
"You can enter your pokemon in a match, just tell me your trainer level and I'll pick an opponent for you."

Current Team:
Excalibur the Doublade
Queenie the Seadra
Steelhead the Lairon

Quentin laughed at Elliot's comment on Excalibur, but not in a mean way. "No way, he's super overprotective all by himself!"

The second that battling could be heard, Quentin and his pokemon watched, seemingly mesmerized in what was happening. Steelhead and Queenie rushed up to Quentin, begging him to enter the contest.

Quentin tilted his head at them. "You think that we'll win?" He asked.

They nodded furiously.

"Fine, okay, we'll sign up.." He sighed humorously, getting up and walking over to the pink-haired girl. "Hey, um, if you're still accepting people for the battles, my name's Quentin Windstrom, and I'm in the middle of the trainer classes."

"It’s okay. You got responsibilities, I can’t take you away from those."

"Yes you can!" Taneh interjected from back at the table, answering for Carter. Carter glared at him.
He became much more concerned however, when Davy mentioned stress.

"What? You're stressed? But it's only the first day. Did you eat enough this morning? Wait, are you taking math? Because don't worry if it looks hard, I know all the best tutorial sites--" He cut himself off. "Ahaha, Maybe, you'd better tell me why."

Carter listened quietly to Davy's reasoning for braving the crowds.
"Wait, you only came here...to see me?"
The rush of joy he felt was so sudden his knees felt weak. He began to laugh nervously.
"Huh? Me stressed? Heh, no...that wasn't, I'm not stressed at all. In fact, I slept better last night than I have in...a while." Throughout the conversation Carter could feel the bridge of his nose getting warmer.

Davy laid out his concerns and Carter listened.
"Hurt me? Nonono, I wasn't hurt. I'm fit as a fiddle! See?" Carter jumped a few times in place to demonstrate, swinging his arms about as he did.

Davy tried to explain how he felt among the crowds and about the battling class, and Carter sat down beside him to take it in attentively.

"Ah, it makes sense now!" Carter put a fist in his palm as if he'd made a discovery. "Davy, I think you're an empath."
Carter adjusted his glasses, something he usually did when about to launch into a detailed explanation.
"An empath is a type of person who is very sensitive to the emotions of others, commonly, they can become overwhelmed or exhausted in crowds of large people, and sometimes, they feel the pain of others as if it was their own. It might explain why you felt so bad in a class where pokemon are actively fighting one another."

He watched Taneh and Kelly go about their tasks running the booth, pausing for a moment in thought.
"It's a very unique ability, and it just means you might need some support navigating crowds. It'd probably be okay if you dropped the battling class, if you want to, of course."
Carter looked over at Davy and smiled. "Looks like you're even more special than I thought you were when we first met!"
