  While Aria isn't technically a narcissist, she sure as hell could pass for one. Not that she's completely self-absorbed or anything, but she is standoffish and tends to keep to herself. She's never had the chance to really make friends or acquaintances and only interacts with her fans, whom she's incredibly kind to, or people who work for her or her father, whom she's not so nice to for the most part. Aria is stubborn as they come and anxious when it comes to new people, but she hides this behind tantrums and anger because she's embarrassed of being so anxious. She just wants to be liked, she was an idol after all, that's what she was taught.
  
  Her love lies with Pokemon though, and all thoughts go out the window when she sees a cute one, it's as if her anxiety up and vanishes and she can suddenly ask to pet or cuddle it. She likes to think she gets along better with the creatures than she does humans, but really she just hasn't been able to put in the effort.   Aria found her partner in Eevee when she was relatively young. Growing up on Delphia Island near the Garden of Harmony, she would play with the wild Pokemon, dancing and singing to her little heart’s content! When she was eight she found an injured Eevee and took it to the Pokemon Center to help it back to health. Nurse Joy let her stay with it while it was resting and after that, Eevee never left her side again. The two were joined at the hip.
  
  Her family raised her to be incredibly caring when interacting with Pokemon, and for a while she had a fear of battling due to the thought that it was hurting them. However, after being attacked by an older kid, her partner, Eevee, jumped in and showed her that it liked battling. After this she grew more comfortable with the idea and eventually found her dream of competing in contests to show her unique style of battling.
  
  She’s incredibly compassionate and has always had dreams, but usually puts others first, even when she shouldn’t have to. It’s been that way her whole life and she doesn’t know a different way. Unbeknownst to most, Aria is one of those people who thinks almost everything is funny. She laughs at just about everything except puns, those aren’t for her. Once she comes out of her industry crafted shell, Viola has a sarcastic and sometimes mean side that she has to watch herself with, but it’s only because her personality has been repressed for all those years.
  
  By the time Aria was fifteen, her father was on the verge of being fired from his managing gig due to no successful acts coming through. It was always a known fact that Viola could sing, and she’d dance alongside her Pokemon when practicing new techniques for contests, but in order to save her Dad she offered herself as a new star, thinking it would be fun. Although it started out that way, by the time she turned twenty, things were far from fun. Viola came to realize her father was just using her to bring in money and now that she was an adult, she wanted out.
  
  Of course her love for music and performing never left, but she was simply worn out from all of the touring and press events that felt like they’d never end all through her teenage years. Now, she’s back in Santoris, living in a quaint cottage close to Elder Elyssia so she can learn everything she knows. Aria has become somewhat of an elder in training underneath Elyssia and she wouldn’t have it any other way. Though, there are days where she longs to perform again, she simply puts that creative energy into songwriting and selling them off to other idols, continuing to make money that way.   Cassandra is friendly and compassionate to those she meets even if they’re strangers to her, this includes all of the Pokemon she's taken care of during the time she's helped out at the Pokemon Center. She’s very loud, talkative, can be blunt at times, and has loads of stories to tell, and once you get her going she’ll talk your ear off for hours on end, this is especially prominent if you mention something of her interest. Cassandra is hardworking, and is always on the go, she’ll be running around doing errands for others, buzzing around the city like a bee. Despite her loud boisterous personality, Cassandra takes her work at the Pokemon Center incredibly seriously, she wants the Pokemon there to feel safe and make sure they get healed up in no time, so she goes above and beyond, ensuring they all get loads of attention from her. When she wants to be Cassandra is very meticulous and organized, with a keen eye for detail.
  
  Cassandra’s schedule always ends up filled to the brim, but even then she will find a moment of time to pamper herself, dress herself up, even if that means sacrificing sleep to wake up early in the morning to be the most fashionable person in the entire town. Underneath that friendly, compassionate, and loud persona, she meets many of those who she's jealous of, who she envies. The ones who get to go on adventures, have stronger and cooler Pokemon. Cassandra is secretly very competitive, with a large ego, she is constantly comparing herself to others, wanting to one up them, or be like them, though she would never admit this to their face as it would bruise her ego.

  Cassandra was born to two working parents, both of them working corporate office jobs in Lumiose City, resulting in the two always being away on business trips, with no time to spend with Cassandra. That left young Cassandra in the care of her grandma in the hidden yet beautiful Laverre City, one of the most mysterious in the region. As she was growing up, she watched all of her childhood friends go on their own Pokemon adventures, of course being only a young child Cassandra was saddened as she was left out of all the fun her friends were about to go on. Cassandra’s grandmother had seen how upset her granddaughter was, as Cassandra moped around, and slept all the time. So she suggested to Cassandra that maybe they could both go to the local Pokemon Center to see the trainers who were stopping there to rest and prepare to face the gym leader that was in their city. They can introduce themselves and maybe even get to meet some of their Pokemon, or Cassandra could even ask Nurse Joy if she needs any assistance in caring for the Pokemon. Instantly perking up at her grandmother’s suggestion, Cassandra happily followed her grandmother to the Pokemon Center in their city. Once they had arrived, they were greeted by Nurse Joy there, where she had shown Cassandra around the facility. The girl had never stepped foot in a Pokemon Center as she hadn’t had a purpose before, but now that she has, Cassandra found herself enthralled, wanting to learn everything she could about being a Nurse. This went on for hours, with Nurse Joy showing Cassandra the basics of healing and taking care of injured Pokemon. She even had the chance to meet trainers and their Pokemon who were passing by, and got to watch Nurse Joy treat a few. By nightfall, Cassandra had to go home, but going to the Pokemon Center to volunteer and help out became a routine for years to come.
  
  At the age of thirteen, Cassandra had gone out to pick up a few berries to bring back to the Pokemon Center for the Pokemon currently there. Walking along the path of Route 14 she found a young Fennekin lying on the ground. Immediately alerted at the sight of a Fennekin in such a swampy area, she ran up to check on the fire fox. The poor thing was limp, and shivering, Cassandra’s heart broke in two seeing the state of the Pokemon. She quickly picked up the Fennekin, cradling it close to her so the Pokemon could warm up at least a slight bit with her body heat. Cassandra hadn't brought anything for first aid when she went to collect berries, so she had bolted towards the Pokemon Center, not caring that her legs were starting to get heavy with fatigue.
  
  She had gotten the Pokemon back to the Center safe and sound, Cassandra had stayed there watching and assisting Nurse Joy in tending to the Fennekin. She was upset, knowing the Fennekin had once belonged to someone, wild Fennekin were unheard of, and she knew the starters given out in Kalos included the fiery fox. How could someone just abandon their partner like that? Her anger simmered down once the Pokemon was healthy and back on its feet. The Fennekin never wanted to leave Cassandra’s side, constantly running around her and trying to play while she was working. Nurse Joy had noticed how often the little fox wanted Cassandra’s attention and had giggled to herself, telling Cassandra that she probably found the partner Pokemon for her. Cassandra was ecstatic at the thought of finally having her own Pokemon, but she knew she'd never really battled before or left her hometown. Determined to become stronger, Cassandra hastily left the Pokemon Center with her newly acquired Fennekin running right behind her, proclaiming to Nurse Joy that she was "off to train" which left Nurse Joy laughing at the girl, knowing she hadn’t a clue on where she was running off to.
  
  As of right now, Cassandra continues to help out almost daily at the Pokemon Center, while training and playing with her team of Pokemon, some she's found while running errands, and others her parents had gifted to her to make up for their absence. Cassandra is constantly on the search to learn more and absorb as much knowledge as she can, such as about different Pokemon, battle strategies, and more ways to take care of/heal Pokemon. Cassandra has thought of leaving her hometown for a while now and seeing those come into the Pokemon Center motivates her to want to become a powerful trainer traveling around the world collecting badges or catching Pokemon, perhaps she might even run into her childhood friends. She even debated on just being a traveling nurse or becoming a breeder instead of a trainer, but Cassandra continues to be hesitant in leaving her elderly grandmother and their hometown.

  Gavin is most prominently known as a bit of a prankster. He loves to pull mostly harmless pranks. If he gets an opportunity, he’ll dump a cup of cold water on someone sleeping or put things where they aren’t supposed to be. Sometimes, however, he may take things a bit too far. This also translates mostly to his battle style, where he’ll use some of the most unconventional tactics to win.
  
  He’s also one to flirt often. However, his flirting attempts are some of the most laughable attempts at flirting you’ll ever see. As you can probably tell, he hasn’t had a successful love life.
  
  Besides being flirtatious and a bit chaotic, he’s generally laid-back. He may seem a complete creep the first time you meet him, but he’s generally pretty relaxed and willing to become friends with most people he meets. He also may seem a bit lazy, but he’s actually a pretty hard-working person behind the scenes.

  Gavin has generally lived a relatively calm and peaceful life. His decently wealthy family has taken him and his older brother on countless trips worldwide, as reflected by Gavin’s regionally diverse Pokemon team. Gavin had a close relationship with his brother, Xavier, who inspired his love of pranks from an early age. They were practically agents of chaos, pulling pranks in the cities they traveled to often and pulling pranks on their classmates and even their family. As Gavin became a teenager, he had to deal with two trips to prison for egging with his brother, but he was released both times. Heck, Gavin even managed to get his Pokemon involved in pranks, to a limited degree of success.
  
  As mentioned in Gavin’s personality page, he hasn’t had a successful love life. He keeps track of how many times he’s been rejected, which currently amounts to 64 rejections. He had a girlfriend at one point, but she was only there for his family’s money, which he figured out quickly. He still longs to find someone willing to put up with his antics and even join him in his pranks, especially since his brother passed away in a tragic incident a year ago. He still hasn’t fully recovered from his sudden passing and longs to find a partner who at least mirrors his brother personality-wise.
  
  Gavin currently travels the world and works wherever he travels. He isn’t home often but still stops by occasionally. At the start of this RP, he’s traveling to the Santoris Festival, wanting to experience it in person after hearing about it from word of mouth.

  Personality: Ophelia is not exactly the friendly sort. She tends to be cold, dismissive and paranoid-- Outside of her work she rarely chooses to talk to anyone. And when she does her words tend to be brief and sharp. Despite this Ophelia is a very kind person, and though she'll grumble the whole way through she simply can't ignore someone in need. Also she's always happy to share information, even if she doesn't seem like it. Ophelia find learning one of the most amazing things in the world and as such is more than willing to impart information.
  Background: Ophelia grew up in Castelia City with her twin brother. With her parents so busy the two of them mostly took care of themselves. Over the course of many years and lots of hijinks Ophelia began to build the walls she still keeps today. Her brother was too naive, too trusting, too nice, so she had to pick up the slack. Be cautious enough for the both of them. She spent her whole childhood in the streets and alleys of that city, never wanting to go on a gym challenge like many of her peers. She could care less about battle... exploring though, that was interesting. Legends, myths and things considered magic astounded her and she wanted to learn all she could.
  In the end it was that drive for knowledge that got her out of Castelia. After meeting her partner pokemon she began her own kind of journey, traveling between regions and eventually stumbling across what she wanted to focus on. Anamolus energy-- Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, Dynamax, Terstalization. All strange powers that seemed to be localized to certain regions. For the last few years Ophelia had been collecting all she could on these topics, trying to find a common thread between him. And now that search has led her to Santoris and the mystery of it's so called 'sacred bonds'
  Other: Ophelia possesses an almost uncanny ability to understand pokemon. At first it just seems like a good bond between her and pokemon, but it quickly becomes evident that this extends to all pokemon in general. Of course being able to communicate with pokemon does not necessarily mean she's good at talking to them, especially considering her anti-social personality.

  London is commonly described as a charismatic man due to his exuberant nature. He emanates a warm, and welcoming aura to those who encounter him. There is no hint of malice hidden in his bones. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to please even though he's aware that it is impossible to make everyone happy. He believes each person has a reason for doing what they do, and a bad person can be redeemed if they truly try, but he holds zero tolerance for any who would try to cause harm unto others or Pokemon. His kindness can be misunderstood for naivety, when in reality, he has incredible patience. He is capable of biting back with witty remarks, but only if necessary. He's also great with diffusing situations. He's able to see things from a different angle in order to understand.
  London has a fascination with knowledge, and is always eager to chat with a fellow intellectual. Sure, he may ramble for hours, but he makes sure to catch himself so as to not overwhelm a person. There is never a dull moment with London as he's almost always willing to jump on board an activity for the sake of a new experience. Adventurous is he, always on the move to explore the world around him, and unveil grand mysteries.
  
  Aside from his eccentric nature, London has some vices that need to be worked on. He is being a perfectionist when it comes to his work. He tries to make Pokemon comfortable as best as he can. Because he is busy with his research, London can be messy in the lab. Papers, books, and various things clutter his office. He tends to pull all nighters for the sake of Pokemon. This is usually caused because he feels he messed up in something. This is a result of anxiety. He will say he's fine when really he is not. When he worries, he can be overbearing. One thing to note, even though it takes a lot to make London angry, when he's enraged, he's not afraid to throw hands and lay down the law, but by then he'd be emotionally compromised. Due to his past, London can be reserved when it comes to talking about his past. He's willing to give some information about Pokemon and his experiences, but he crosses the line when it comes to his personal life. This is because he still harbors resentment and grief over the loss of his father. He sees himself as unworthy because of his mistakes and struggles to forgive himself.
  
  Around people he cares about, London is supportive, and willing to stand on the sidelines. He can also be odd or quirky at random such as when encountering a Pokemon, he tends to be overexcited and approach them by acting like one. These tricks do tend to work when executed properly, but on aggressive Pokemon, one false move could create a problem. Suffice to say, London is not afraid to express his emotions, although he's pretty oblivious when it comes to romance so one might need to be straightforward, but even then it's a fifty percent chance he'll catch on. If you ask him what his act of love is, it would be quality time. London is aware he can be annoying given how much of a chatterbox he is so he isn't expecting anyone to one day confess to him, however, it's mainly due to his field of work as a Pokemon breeder. He spends less time with people and more with Pokemon, so if he comes off unusual you can thank his workspace.
  
  BACKGROUND
  
  London was born and raised in Lavender Town. A place surrounded by ghost Pokemon due to the allure of the Pokemon Tower of which many paid a visit to their departed partners. Despite how creepy it sounds, there is a beauty in death to be embraced. It brings two tortured souls together to find closure, and that is what London unfortunately learned at a young age when his father died in a car accident during a hurricane. He was not alone either. He was accompanied by his Arcanine. Who tried to save him but ultimately the Arcanine got injured in the process. Arcanine survived but its wounds were so severe that it only had a couple of hours to live. London was in denial, confident that at least Arcanine will somehow survive. He would attend them, changing their bandages and making them comfortable with high hopes it would pull through. Sadly, it did not, and from then on, London blamed themselves for being a terrible caretaker. All that remained is his mother, and older brother, Castiel.
  
  London took his father’s death hard. He would rebel at a young age and create fights with other kids. He didn't care who got hurt. He was filled with so much rage. This continued until he turned fourteen. He mellowed out, but due to his reputation, he proceeded with his fights. He became feisty, and bitter until he met a Growlithe. The pup would howl for hours at night keeping the people up. It became a hindrance to the town to the point they would kick and scurry the Growlithe away. London wondered why the dog would be adamant to howl at the moon. He got his answer when he helped a tired old lady with her belongings. It was clear the noise was causing fatigue. The older woman mentioned casually how Growlithe was in mourning. It had made a promise to converse with the moon every night until the day he can pass on and see his master. Their owner was a friend of the old lady, and apparently he had passed away a few months ago. So, one night, London decided to pay Growlithe a visit only to discover some teens were brutally beating him. He recognized the teens. They were the same ones who would approach him for a fight, and they enjoyed beating the defenseless Growlithe. No matter what, it refused to fight back and instead catch a glimpse at the moon and howl. London can see how important it was to the Growlithe like desperation for his howls to reach the other side despite his situation. Pain stricken, London charged in to protect the Growlithe. Of course three on one was not fair. Sure, he earned some injuries here and there but he successfully took care of the brutes. The only reason he was damaged was because he was emotional and uncoordinated.
  
  As the teens scattered, Growlithe approached London and licked their injured wounds. At that moment, London felt a strange connection. He picked up the pup and carried it to the Pokemon center where it was attended, and as he waited, at its bedside, Growlithe awoke to lick the boy’s hand once again. A rush of emotions comes flooding down his face as if finally releasing everything he repressed for five years. Since then, Growlithe became London’s therapy and in turn London was Growlithe’s. They both understood how much they were both suffering. A year later The howling stopped, and the Town once again reverted to normal. The Holidays earned a new family member, and finally they were recovering. London still held reserves about pouring his emotions, but Growlithe is the only exception to the rule. The one he can confide in. With London’s recovery, something else awaits him. He chose to bond more with Growlithe by going on a journey by entering the Kanto League. He battled fearlessly with Growlithe, but he lost in the tournament. They were just as strong as he, and at least he tried his hand at battling. One day during his trip back home, a man had approached them, complimenting London’s efforts on maintaining his Growlithe. He mentioned it was well taken care of like a breeder handled them. He asked if they were an apprentice of sorts, and of course London said no. The man offered him a position in the Hoenn region. That man happened to be Professor Birch. As flattered as London was, he rejected. Birch was disappointed, but understanding. He made sure to hand them a business card before carrying on. London was left wondering that night in his room whether he should give it a shot. It was between being a trainer or trying something new. Growlithe and the rest of the family encouraged London to go for it.
  
  The following week, London agreed to take the position and set out to Hoenn where he apprenticed as an assistant. He learned various things, enthralled by what he was told. It opened London’s eyes to a whole new world of possibilities. Birch mentioned that while he is a professor who researches on habitats, there are many options for London to choose of which he is glad to help guide him. London agreed. He was mostly fond of caring for Pokemon and their biology. They had a talent for detecting a Pokémon's well-being as a breeder would. It was clear as daylight where London stood. Birch made sure to teach the kid the ways of approaching Pokemon as well. As strange as his actions were, they worked. The Pokemon reacted accordingly despite the embarrassing show. London was not sure he would ever have to use it until the day that he did. Since then, he’s not shy about showing his behavior if it meant earning a Pokemon’s trust.
  
  London’s journey has taught him to let loose and be expressive, to travel the world. He opened up his heart to Pokemon and in turn they opened up to him without fail. It proved how they can understand one’s emotions which explains why Archie and him were close in their first encounter. He’s glad. Without them, he would be stuck in the same position. Still, his new persona did not hide how reserved he is about his past. It was painful just to talk about. He felt regret for being such a coward, and a fool to match with it. If only he could have been vocal, he would have been a bit happier and less frightened to face his past. For now, he can continue to hide behind his smile.
  
  At the coming of age of eighteen, London graduated. His long hours and efforts allowed him to reach his goal as a breeder. The first order of business was to return home to celebrate his success, and enjoy his vacation. As he visited his father and Arcanine's grave with Archie, London came to the conclusion of establishing a lab or rather a ranch in Pastors in the Sinnoh region. There, he spends his time with his work and providing care for Pokemon to raise and ship off to labs or even help trainers in their journey. After a whole year of work growing accustomed to his routine, he decided to take a trip to the Santoris Region to continue with his research. While there is still exploring to do in the Sinnoh, he felt his assistance would probably have more fun exploring that area. It also gives him a chance to travel with Growlithe as well. There is still so much for him to see, and he wasn't planning on stopping. Who knows what he'll find there.

  Corviknight may seem intimidating, but they're well behaved. They're generous enough to offer a stranger in need a ride. Corviknight is a neutral Pokemon on the team, but he always does what's right. He was given as a gift from his brother while on a vacation trip to Galar. The Rookidee was too feral, and frightened to keep. It's as though it endured trauma. Thankfully, London rehabilitated the bird and has gained its loyalty. Corviknight's role in the ranch is being a messenger as well as ride.

  Spoiler: Croagunk

  When London established a lab in Pastoria, he discovered Croagunk were worshiped there. They even held festivals in their honor. After an experience, a wild Croagunk followed London to his ranch. He couldn't understand why and offered to be friends. Croagunk was weirdly skeptical despite following London in the first place. Through the weeks, London found Croagunk would watch and secretly help herd the Pokémon on his farm. If there is ever a fight, he breaks it up. The same can be said about thieves. He would be vigilant. His keen senses were that of a ninja which isn't surprising considering it's also a fighting type. Eventually, London was able to catch Croagunk and hire them as a guard. Their mother was thrilled when she heard of the news. Now London had a reason to visit his mother considering Croagunk happens to be her favorite Pokemon.

  Spoiler: Swampert

  Swampert was gifted by Professor Birch as a graduation present. He wanted to give London something meaningful, and decided the best choice to start their breeding career is a Pokémon with raising. London was grateful, and of course cherished Mudkip as it grew to be a swampert. Swampert's role on the ranch serves as a radar. Whatever goes missing whether items, a Pokémon or a person, their senses are able to find them.

  Spoiler: Phantump

  Ghost types are London's favorite. When he encountered Phantump one day in a field of flowers. It would keep humans away from the field which was a problem for a florist who happened to own the field. She couldn't get through without Phantump in the way. Of course at the time she figured it was a grass pokemon in hiding who would grow roots from the ground and craft a tall fence. It was always keeping a watchful eye. The florist was in desperate need of help and hired anyone who would be able to deal with the stubborn Pokemon. This was during London's travels as a teen. He heard the woman's distress and agreed to help. As it turned out, the Phantump was the cause. The florist, like most people, freaked out, but London was ecstatic to take care of the matter. He learned Phantump was merely protecting the field of flowers. Regardless of the information, the florist wanted it gone. London offered Phantump a giant garden for them to play in back on his ranch. The picturesque idea piqued their interest and they agreed. Since then, they maintain the flowers and the grass pokemon in his ranch.

  Spoiler: Pachirisu

  Is an excitable pokemon much like his owner. They're always on the move zooming about disturbing the peace. They can't sit still for one minute except for when they eat and sleep afterwards. London captured Pachirisu while doing some shopping as he rarely enters the city without a reason to. When he heard about the troublesome blur causing the city trouble by stealing items or food, it was London's job to investigate. The suspect was a Pachirisu, and like the curious person he is, London jumped into action and caught the squirrel. As it turns out, the Pachirisu held too much energy than normal. It reserved too much energy to the point it acquired a fever the next day.
  London quickly removed the stored energy returning the creature to normalcy. The squirrel was incredibly grateful and attached itself to London right away. However, on this day, it still causes London grief, but he wouldn't dare abandon it. Pachirisu's role on the farm is serving as a backup generator. One would think it's cruel but due to its high energy, it helps both the lab and the pokemon. He also helps concoct medicine taught to him by a herbalist in the Johto region as well as herd electric type Pokemon like mareep.

PERSONALITY: Alastair may seem like a big muscular brute. He's loud and vocal enough to be, but in truth, he's very passionate about the things he cares for. He's a very friendly gentleman who would never say anything intentionally rude or upsetting. In fact he actively wants the best for others and helps others live healthy lifestyles as a fitness and health coach/instructor. He also has a very soft side, and especially loves stories that involve happily ever afters.

In his spare time, he enjoys being surrounded by nature and getting involved in all sorts of physical activities. Especially trying new things. However at the end of the day, he also enjoys sitting on the sofa with some guilty pleasure snacks to some good movies. It's fine, he was going to exercise the next morning anyways. For the most part, he's a fairly carefree guy that tries to be kind and not let things bother him. He wants to see the best in others, but will not sit idly or calmly by when someone is getting picked on.

BACKGROUND: Alistair grew up in Goldenrod City and oftentimes visited Saffron City in Kanto in his youth. He learned wrestling from a very young age and enjoyed learning it at the Saffron gym. He trained with all sorts of martial artists that visited the gym, but twice a week they had wrestling classes in which Alistair attended. He also joined his highschool wrestling team which was when he started bulking up and picked up.

His skills in wrestling were amazing because he'd get a scholarship to attend college and join the wrestling team and gain even more skill and experience. He did amazing in those four years, made many friends and great memories. Months later, he'd start his own gym in Goldenrod City. It was more of a weight lifting/exercise gym. Complete with a track field, pool. He also had plans to build a sauna and additional rooms built on, but those would take time and his gym would need to have grown and became a lot more successful first.

As far as his pokémon journey was concerned he got his first pokémon at the age of 11. An impidimp he met in Galar. His second pokémon was a koffing he met in Saffron City a year later. He had gotten a Mime Jr that same year. The next pokémon he got was on his fifteenth birthday, a Snubull. His Impidimp evolved when he was 17. He had gotten Mawile his first year of college and Mimikyu in his second. His Koffing evolved while his family was on vacation in Galar.

BACKGROUND (2+ Paras): Zelda grew up on the road in the Johto region, living in an RV with her parents, who were avid travelers with no desire to stop.   Joachim is a cordial and kindhearted man, always trying his best to appear approachable for both Pokémon and people. One would think this is simply how he carries himself when working, proper bedside manner and such, but it extends to even his personal interactions. From healing a stranger’s Pokémon to sharing a meal with those traveling like him, Joachim is someone who could be described as genuinely good-natured. Due to his warm disposition, it’s easy to assume Joachim would have plenty of friends, but in reality he really only keeps in touch with colleagues and work associates regularly. Joachim seems to keep others at arm’s length, open with himself enough to put others at ease, but never to form lasting bonds.
  
  Joachim is quick to rush to the defense of others, particularly Pokémon, doing anything in his power to keep them safe. He often does this without thinking, unable to stand by when someone is in need. He’s been reckless with this on numerous occasions, the most notable consequence of this being the combination burn scar and bite mark left on his right arm from fending off a Houndoom in an attempt to protect a shiny Eevee (which is now his partner Pokémon). He hasn’t learned from this experience, and if anything, it has only strengthened his resolve.
  
  Joachim isn’t afraid to stand up for what he believes in, even if he isn’t the most vocal person in the world. You’ll quickly find that he’s headstrong and stubborn with his convictions, hardly wavering unless given good reason to change his mind. If he believes that someone conflicts with his goals or intent, he isn’t afraid to ignore them or even cut ties with them.
  
  Despite his overall positive traits, Joachim does have a few quirks about him that some may find off-putting. In the many years he’s practiced being polite and approachable, he’s gotten into the bad habit of even saying rude remarks in a sweet tone– things like backhanded compliments coming naturally to him. He also has the tendency to make morbid jokes due to his profession, this paired with his inability to read others at times usually leads to an ill-timed joke and unsettling impression of him going forward.

  Joachim grew up in Cabo Poco, Paldea, on his family’s berry farm. He quickly became familiar with numerous berries and their uses, fascinated with all the different ways one could utilize them. Their use for Pokémon in particular held his interest, and he’d do his best to leave out any spare nutritional and medicinal berries for wild Pokémon that may need them. He would often be scolded by his parents for this, as the family’s livelihood largely depended on their crops, but that never deterred Joachim. Any opportunity to help and watch the Pokémon that flocked to their farm he’d gladly take, even if it meant a punishment or two.
  
  When he was old enough, Joachim was enrolled in Uva Academy to nurture his interest in Pokémon and expand his horizons. He found himself gravitating towards and excelling in courses that dealt with the biology and health of Pokémon, and many of his professors suggested he look into careers in the medical field. When the time came for the academy’s independent study project, Joachim was assigned an Audino to travel with and was sent off to “find his treasure”. Unsure what to make of this vague assignment, he simply wandered from settlement to settlement and did as he desired. What he found the most enjoyment in was spending time with Pokémon and their trainers, offering them a place to camp when weary and needing assistance. Even wild Pokémon would visit his little campsites at times, which Joachim quickly fed and patched up before sending them on their way. It felt right to him, it felt rewarding, even.
  
  Joachim’s adventures culminated in a fateful encounter one evening– a gravely injured Eevee stumbling into his camp with a pack of Houndour and their Houndoom leader following close behind. The Eevee’s odd coloring made it stand out and easy for the pack to follow, he realized, and it was too weak to even fight back. He found his body moving before he could think, throwing his arms around the Eevee to protect the smaller creature from any more abuse. However, the Houndoom was already poised to finish off the weaker Pokémon and lunged at it with a Fire Fang– its fiery jaws meeting Joachim’s arm instead of its target. He bore the brunt of this attack, allowing for the Audino accompanying him to startle the pack with a Disarming Voice and the little Eevee to even fight back with a point-blank Last Resort to the Houndoom’s face before fainting. The pack quickly fled after this exchange, but that hardly left Joachim with any relief. He hastily instructed the Audino to try and heal the Eevee while he did his best to remain composed given the dire situation, calling a Flying Taxi to the nearest Pokémon Center. He would spend the rest of his night working alongside Nurse Joy to save the little Eevee, refusing to leave its side even with his own injuries. Exhaustion eventually got the better of Joachim, and when the adrenaline of the whole ordeal wore off– he fainted himself.
  
  Upon waking up the next night, Joachim was met with a scolding from both his Audino and Nurse Joy, lecturing him that overworking himself and refusing immediate help only served to keep his body from getting the energy it needed to heal and exacerbated his wound. However, their concerns fell on deaf ears as he almost immediately asked Nurse Joy where the Eevee was and if it was okay. With a sign of resignation, Nurse Joy informed him that the Eevee would be fine, thankfully, but hadn’t escaped unscathed much like him. When the two were able to be reunited the following day, the Eevee was missing it’s right eye and left hind leg– but instantly perked up upon seeing Joachim and the two became inseparable. Once they were cleared to leave the Pokémon Center, he flew the little group back to camp to gather what they’d left behind and then to Uva Academy. In the time he’d spent exploring and in Nurse Joy’s company, Joachim had found his treasure. He’d learned that there wasn’t anyone to help these Pokémon without trainers and some places even refused to help certain Pokémon depending on the circumstances, something he couldn’t stand. He wanted to become a Pokémon Doctor and aid any wild Pokémon he could find.
  
  The initial reaction from the school’s staff upon his return was surprise and concern at the state he and his new partner Pokémon were in, which quickly turned to elation upon his declaration of his treasure and plans for the future. His parents, however, didn’t share this sentiment. They understood wanting to become a Pokémon Doctor, it was a lucrative career choice, but to cast aside the comfort and stability of working at a facility like a Pokémon Center or hospital seemed idiotic to them. There was hardly anything to gain– not to mention the danger Joachim would be putting himself in. Rather than meet their outrage with his own, Joachim simply nodded and left his home, never looking back. When the time came for graduation, his family couldn’t be found in the crowd and he’d already had plans to set off once the ceremony was over.

  Joachim now works as a licensed Pokémon Doctor for the Pokémon League, given permission to travel freely as long as he keeps them updated on his whereabouts and operations– along with reporting to wherever he may be assigned if the need arises. He keeps a log of his travels and those he’s treated, both as proof of his practice and for memory’s sake. He’s been sent to the Santoris region to offer medical aid during the Santoris Festival, then allowed free reign to travel as he pleases once the event concludes. While he isn’t thrilled about the battles he’ll inevitably have to watch, the prospect of meeting new people and Pokémon have raised his spirits enough for him to smile…for the time being.

Ecco decided to join Joachim after a Finizen who looked up to the heroic Palafin evolved to show that it could keep the pod safe and Ecco could rest.

  His scar from the Houndoom bite still hurts to this day. While it feels like a dull ache for the most part, some days are worse than others and it flares back up.
  
  Joachim dislikes battling, but isn't above doing so to protect what he cares about. He isn't the most experienced battler and lacks hard-hitting moves, opting for a "war of attrition" style of battling that wears down his opponents and keeps his Pokémon healthy via status moves and switching. When he isn't fighting a person one on one he adopts a more supportive role, instructing his Pokémon to keep their allies healthy. He isn't one to volunteer for battle training, but if convinced he'd be the type to call the match before either side could get too wore out.

  Eva is, well.. Eva is many things. She is known to most people as an artist, and a great one at that. Her work has a way of turning even mundane scenes into engaging snapshots. Whether it's her photography or her drawings and sketches, her pieces seem to breathe life into the ordinary, and shed light on the extraordinary.
  
  People a bit closer to her may say she's an introvert, who rarely spends much time with others outside of her Pokemon companions. When it comes to conversation one rarely gets more than a few words out of her before she slips away. Yet from a distance, she can be seen chatting empahtically with her Pokemon as they relax after a day out shooting, giving the sense that she may simply prefer non-human company.
  
  Or, perhaps, she's an explorer, someone who is constantly out and about looking for new material, especially along the many vistas and cliffsides of Mykora. One might spot her on a distant cliffside, legs dangling over a cliff, camera in hand, with her expert eye trained on the endless horizon. She seems to belong in any natural scene, like she was meant for the world that lies beyond man.
  
  She has an air of confidence, of poise, of someone who proudly marches to the beat of her own drum. Among the young people of Mykora she has quite a few admirers owing to this perception, though she is more vexed by this than anything. Whether her popularity is a result of her nature or in spite of it is something that often confuses her.
  
  At her core, though, in the place nobody else sees, Eva is a girl plagued by anxiety. Seeming to have no true place in the world and surrounded by people who see her as so much more than she believes she is, she feels alone and desperate to prove her worth.   Expectations are a hard thing to fight, and even harder to accept.
  
  Eva's parents learned that something was different about their only child fairly early on. Why did she struggle to pick up so many simple concepts? Was she just slow to develop? Did she just need more time? The pair were deeply troubled, though they had a breakthrough when the father, an artist, let little Eva play with his paints. She took to them, and to other creative pursuits, like a Finneon to water, and it became clear that she was not so slow to develop after all. The learning disability she was dealing with, as they came to understand it, would continue to rear its head.
  
  Learning was a challenge for young Eva going into grade school, and her mother, a successful entrepreneur and businesswoman, found the best tutors money could buy to try to "fix" whatever was causing her daughter to lag behind her peers. And yet, whether it be in math, science, history, Pokemon studies, or other classes, they made little headway. What they and her mother did succeed in, however, was instilling in Eva the sense that something was wrong with her. She could never keep up with her classmates, she could never meet her mother's expectations, and she was never able to impress her assortment of tutors, who all seemed to treat her like she was a confused little kid. The only class she excelled in was art class, and in sketches, photography, and digital artwork she found her sanctuary from expectation. And from the divorce.
  
  Growing up Eva would often hear her parents fighting in some other room about this and that. But she most remembered how they fought over her, and how to handle her disability. Her mother wanted to fight against it, and keep Eva on the same path as her peers, while her father wanted to embrace her uniqueness and have her attend a separate art academy to foster her talent. But her father always ended up acquiescing, until the day that he decided he wouldn't back down anymore. Eva hid in her room and cried, trying to drown out the sound of the screaming match, and the guilt of feeling that all of this was her fault for not being good enough.
  
  Her parents separation was hard on Eva, and even the gifts she received from her father while they were apart didn't make it better, though she loved using the high-end camera that he bought for her. Little did she realize that the camera housed something greater than she could have expected. At first all she noticed were little oddities, like pictures in her roll that she swore she didn't take, ones from odd angles when she couldn't possibly have been holding the camera. Then there were the times when the flash would come on without warning, blinding her or her subjects. But its true nature was revealed when one day out shooting on the cliffs, after a bit of a lapse of judgement, she got on the bad side of two aggressive Rhyhorn. Just as they were about to charge her, the camera leapt from her hands and repeatedly flashed at the two Pokemon, startling them long enough for her to slip away unscathed. When she got to safety and opened her case only to find her camera safely stored inside once again, gently flashing its ready light at her, was when she learned that she had a Rotom looking after her, and that she had found her very first Pokemon.
  
  These days, Eva has a number of Pokemon that she has found, or that found her, over the course of her many exploration trips around her home island of Mykora. Now that she's done with required schooling, she can fully embrace her passion for drawing and photography, and in recent years even scored a regular gig taking promotional photos for the yearly Santoris Festival. While she isn't the most fond of the crowds, and especially the loud and boisterous tourists, the pay is good enough to make up for her limited income doing commissions and formal shoots the rest of the year, and when she isn't working she can hang in the shadows and enjoy sketching away from the hustle and bustle.   In all parts of the world, there is a sizable market for illegal Pokemon, be those stolen from protected areas or even those taken directly from their trainers. The big gangs of each region tended to be the ones doing most of the stealing, given their power and resources. Many of these gangs weren’t fond of the nitty-gritty of doing business, so these stolen Pokemon usually ended up sold to the hands of independent middlemen, who would ultimately be the distributors of these unfortunate Pokemon.
  
  June’s family was one of the aforementioned middlemen. Well, what was left of it anyway. The profession came with decent money, but it meant dealing with dangerous people--not to mention the looming threat of being discovered by law enforcement. June’s mother left before she could remember, and her father died before she’d learnt her multiplication tables. So for most of her life, it was just her and her older brother.
  
  Life, for the most part, was good. June went to school like any other girl, and while she was no prodigy, she had promise. She had friends, and money was never really a problem thanks to the business her brother carried out. He was away a lot, so it sometimes got lonely around the house. June was used to it though, and she knew her brother cared for her more than anything.
  
  She asked him once in her later teen years why he didn’t let her help him out; she knew roughly what to do, and was old enough to be of use. He told her that it wasn’t the future he wanted for her—that something safer, more stable, and more respectable would be in the cards for her. So June obliged, focusing on her studies.
  
  But the fantasy didn’t last for long. June’s brother had gotten in trouble with the wrong people, completely unbeknownst to her until the moment those very people showed up at her doorstep. There was a battle--and somehow, the two siblings managed to ward off the intruders. But June’s brother had sustained major injuries, and he died of his wounds within a few days. It was clear that she’d have to move now—that wouldn’t be a problem, since her brother had a fair amount of savings before he died. But now, there was no more source of income. - Crime Organizations. Stealing pokemon is revolting for her and one of her motivations to do her job.

- Debts. The feeling of owing people is something she despises and she will go out of her way to make up perceived debts she has.

- Getting trapped. There are times where she still gets anxiety when deep into an infiltration or cover. Though it partly makes her excited, it's still not an enjoyable feeling. The idea of getting caught and having her pokemon taken is terrifying.
- Being betrayed. Good thing being a spy is a one man job. Maybe it's a result of a lifetime of betraying others, even if they had it coming. She fears putting any substantial amount of trust in people, especially when it has to do with her pokemon.
Certain cute pokemon. Ex: jigglypuff. "Like, they're so creepy! Don't stare at me with your little bright eyes! It makes me shudder."

PERSONALITY:
Luxe is a social kecleon, and it's not an accident. She loves being able to form connections with the people she meets, expanding her "social web". She's really friendly and a bit of a tease, always finding some way to make things more interesting. Partly due to her gambling addiction expertise, she's known in her job for her calculated risks, even being accredited as one of her defining characteristics as a spy. She lives behind her infinite facades, which means she has a criminal case of bottled emotions. She can be numb to other people's emotions, sometimes to a fault. If you're a decent person, you've got nothing to worry about around her.

BACKGROUND:
Luxe was born the child of a notorious leader and CEO of a crime organization. Which organization is actually unknown to her, leaving the identity of both her parents a mystery. Though, she assumes her father is probably sitting in a cell in some unknown region. As for her mother, she's never really had a reason to think about her. Too young to remember either her biological parents, she had more than her fill of motherly love from her adoptive ones. Who was her adoptive family? A family full of Officer Jennys, of course! Growing up in Kalos, all she ever wanted was to inherit the role of Officer Jenny, and even get her own pokemon companion. Though, this would never come to fruition, as she would be given an opportunity for something "better". Noticing her extroverted and vibrant personality, she was picked to be part of a special program dedicated to make special agents for infiltration. Seeing this as her chance to prove her worth to her families, she joined at a very young age.

It didn't take long for her to take off as one of the best in her field, with one of her first major jobs ending in her befriending her lifelong partner. A hawlucha that was being held captive for selling, for it's rare pigmentation. After saving him, the hawlucha gained loyalty for her and refused to leave her side. Not having an alternative, he officially became her first pokemon, being promptly given the codename Darkwing. However, in off time, Luxe just calls him D.

As time went on, more pokemon with similar backgrounds would join her little crew from her infiltrations in different regions. Nowadays, she wonders what could have been if she had stayed on her path to becoming an officer. Being a spy has jaded her in a lot of ways and while she's glad she does what she does for the sake of pokemon, she can't help but wonder if she would have been happier as a simple officer. However, the sight of freeing poached pokemon that remind her of her own pokemon makes her feel that it's worth it. She just has to spice things up by doing some risky things once in a while, that's all. Currently, she's technically still undercover infiltrating Team Rocket. She was sent off to do "field work" which for her basically meant a vacation, as she would obviously not be doing any actaul work on the organizations behalf. Hearing about the Santoris Festival, she decides to head over there to do an "investigation". Investigate what? The local traditions and food of course! Oh, and also a group she had been hearing about. Some, "Team Eclipse". From what she understood, they were seemingly some small time group. The idea of stomping out a small crime organization sounded neat, surely they would have no devious plan up their sleeve. The plan was set. A festival of dancing, fun, and playing, topped off with a little crime whooping. Thus, she appears at the Santoris region for her first time.

BACKGROUND:
Lyle Valentine was born as the first child in a family of ranchers. Because of his family’s business, he was very familiar with raising and caring for Pokémon, and had subsequently developed a very strict maintenance routine. He would have had no complaints with living a simple life on his family’s farm if not for his younger sister’s, Lily Valentine, illness. The treatment for her medical condition was expensive, and nearly forced the family into financial struggles. It was a stroke of luck, therefore, that Lyle got recruited for a boy band while running errands in town. Within a few years, Lyle, taking on the stage name of Levi, was earning a good amount of money to help fund his sister’s medical expenses.

Although his occupation constantly forced him out of his comfort zone and reduced the amount of time he could spend with his family, Lyle was willing to make those losses, especially since Lily had gotten very proud of her brother’s work. Instead, he made efforts to spend as much free time with his sister as possible, going as far as to invite his family along to the tenth Santoris Festival, where he and his group were arranged to hold a performance.

PERSONALITY:
Nikos is a passionate man, and he cares deeply for those he calls friends. Ready to stand by them through the worst, Nikos places a high importance on loyalty. His passion extends beyond his friends to his ship and the water. Years at sea have taught him that half-measures are a death sentence. His whole attention is required at the helm and this has led to Nikos hyper-fixating on the task at hand, at sea or on shore. He is also a superstitious man. Nikos adheres to many of the old sailor superstitions passed down by his father. As such, he is meticulous about how he conducts himself aboard a ship.
BACKGROUND:
Nikos is a native of Santoris, having been born on the island of Athenia to Georgios and Eleni Katsaros. His family has a long sea-faring tradition, dating back to the time of the earliest settlers in Santoris. As far back as Nikos can remember, his father would bring him along as he sailed the deep blue waters. Nikos’ father took all manner of work in his ship. They moved goods between the individual islands and the mainland and fished off Athenia. However, their most profitable times were during the festival. When throngs of tourists and festival-goers needed transport to and from the mainland and between the islands, the family ship became a ferry.
Nikos last saw his father on one such trip ten years ago. While acting as a ferry, his father took one of the last groups of tourists off the islands and back to the mainland. As he was due to return, an unseasonably strong storm began to brew. Hours slipped by as Nikos and Eleni stood waiting for any sign of the ship, but nothing came. By the following day, the sky had cleared, and the waters calmed. The rest of the Athenia’s mariners and Nikos set out to search for any sign of Georgios or his ship. They made the trip the Georgios had made at least a hundred times. They found no sign of him or his ship. Word spread to the other islands and the mainland. No sign of wreckage was found, and the last group of tourists reported nothing out of the usual when they were dropped off. After a week, the ship and Georgios were declared lost.
Nikos and Eleni were devastated. For a year, Nikos was despondent hardly eating and hardly leaving his home. It was only the constant attention of Luna, then an Eevee, that roused him. Slowly he began to return to life. He began to return to the sea, helping neighbors as they went about their fishing and shipping endeavors. By the time he was sixteen, Nikos was captain of his own ship, having rebuilt and refurbished a schooner his father always meant to get around to. With his mother’s blessing, Nikos christened the ship the G. Katsaros. He’s spent the between years as his father did, providing shipping and transportation for the islands. Along the way, Nikos came into contact with a number of Pokemon that he would go on to befriend and capture. His Pokemon are trusted friends and loyal crew members, each serving a purpose aboard the G. Katsaros. As another festival season approaches, Nikos prepares for a busy time ferrying passengers to and from the events honoring Santoris’ saviors.
