Keeping the world dancing on the edge of damnation. Unless the chosen bring halt to the corruption. Chosen brought forth from a realm beyond this one… This is your fate.
With the strength of Pokémon, challenge the corruption. Bring end to Heracc’s festering plague. Free the skies above from Meedi’s unending storms. Find Machu and release the dragons trapped within the earth. End the darkness in the hearts of Pokémon, or… claim it as your own.
Is it not only you who knows if the darkness lingers in your heart?"

First of all, thank you for showing interest in the work of a new member. Second of all, don't be fooled by the title. We all know Pokémon is generally a relatively cute and happy-go-lucky setting to play around with. Which is why I want to change that up. This story will be set in the World of Pokémon, which is a placeholder name for now. As for plot, well, it is the same as a normal PMD game in broad strokes. You're a human who's send into a world inhabited only by Pokémon. Upon inspecting yourself you find out you've changed into a first evolution Pokémon of your choosing and try to figure out what happened to you and how you'll get back to your world. This will lead you down a path that eventually brings you face-to-face with the evil plaguing the world, yada-yada.
However! This world is quite a bit more dark and dreary than the games. There is no goody-two shoes exploration guild to help you out. No guaranteed happy ending for everyone. No "Let's convince the evil force to join the 'good guys' through the power of friendship." The lines between good and bad are as grey as can be. Honestly, your goal isn't to save the world. Your goal is whatever you want it to be, through whatever methods you deem necessary. Though, you may need the help of others on this journey into the depths of the world. Unless you seek an untimely death.
