The night was full.
In different homes across the small town, five teenagers looked out their window to see the moon begin to come up. Night had begun to fall in Ravenswood, and most of the land that it occupied was quiet. These teenagers sighed, as tomorrow was their first day back at school as Sophomores of Edgar Allen High. They thought of the homework and the social interactions and the grades. But there was more coming their way then even they could expect, as something had awakened the night before from the depths of the darkest pit. The kids changed, and layed down to rest, not expecting what to happen next.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
(Ambiance anyone?)
The world is upside down and yet right side up at the same time. Right and wrong are no difference, whilst logic seems unlikely. The kids (without any sight of each other) awaken, floating in a black void. It feels like empiness looks and smells like. But before anyone can say anything, a room appears around the children. It seems to be moderately sized, and they take it in as they float to the ground. Still invisible to each other, the room seems to be made of marble and a golden material, with four pillars in the corners of the room. The place that the teenagers are sanding is a few inches lower than the rest of the floor, in an oval shape. The wind and strange music coming everywhere and nowhere at once may bother them, the then thy notice the figure in front of them.
A man, in a black turtleneck and flowing pants, stands in front of them with his back turned to them. He has black hair held up in a ponytail, and somethoing purple on the right side of his face, though you cant make it out because of the distance. He turns slightly, still concealing his face.

"Invitees alike. Welcome. This will only last a short while, but do not fret. Time will allow us to meet again. And so it shall be."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The teens awaken with sweat covering your face. It was only a dream, after all. The sun has just come up, and school starts soon.

((Just a notice, the next post be your character getting ready for school, and heading to homeroom))

Sam's eyes snapped awake, his breath shallow, but ragged. He slowly lifted a hand up to his forehead, wiping the sweat that had accumulated there away. He groaned quietly to himself, turning his head to look at his alarm clock. "6:55...I got up before my alarm..." He thought to himself as she sat up, shaking the cobwebs from his head. What was that strange dream...? On the upside, this game him more time to get ready for school. He made sure to switch the alarm off before standing up out of his bed, stretching slightly as he looked around the large, lonely attic that would be his bedroom for the next year. It wasn't too empty, there were a few posters up on the wall of superheroes and anime characters...but Sam still desperately needed to do some redecorating. After a quick shower, he opened up his suit case, slipping on a pair of jeans, a vintage "MARVEL COMICS" t-shirt, and a worn, dark green blazer. After taking a moment to eye himself in the mirror, he headed down the stairs, backpack over his shoulder. He said goodbye to his cousin, and made his way down the street. Thankfully, Ravenswood was just a short walk away from the comics shop his cousin runs, the attic of which Sam would be living in. Starting at a brand new school was never fun...today was sure to be a hectic day in more ways than one...

The early bird catches the worm, or so they say. Luckily for the blonde on her first day of a new school year, she was one of those morning people who liked getting up at the crack of dawn to start her day. Five a.m. never came soon enough! Out of bed, a quick splash of water to her face, and out to the backyard to start her routine. A jog around the property took roughly twenty minutes at a moderate pace, and with there being security scattered about, there was never any worry about someone unwanted creeping onto the premise. The workout earned a proper reward in the form of a steaming shower. Only once her pleated skirt, white button down shirt, and high ponytail were secure did she make her way down the estate's stairs to greet those assembled at the breakfast table.

Maxwell, newspaper in hand, spared his daughter a half-awake glance. "Good morning, dearest. How did you sleep?" Even the conversation felt like a routine. A polite-yet-content smile, words that were spoken every day to prevent any alarm rising, and a kiss to the cheeks of both her parents preluded her exit through the front door. Only once she entered the car and took a moment to rest her eyes did the dream flood back to her, brushing against her eyelids in a tantalizing manner. How long had it been since she recalled the scenes that plagued her during her rest? Too long, and for some reason, it felt important.

But no matter. A new year, new start, new chance. This time she'd do better. She'd see to it no matter what.

Markus sat up slowly in his bed. It had been one of those mornings where he forgot that he was alone. Where he thought he heard his parents chatting in the bedroom. But of course that was false, and the house once again completely silent, save for the boys breathing. He found the dream strange. The man, with the strange hair. The room that seemed to have no logic but be reasonable all at the same time. Shaking his head, Markus decided if he was up, might as well get up for school.
After making a few Eggos, and finishing all of the hygiene things that a now-sophomore student needs to do, Markus grabbed his headphones and cell from his bedroom drawer, and headed off to school.

Riley "Riles" Atwood woke up in a cold sweat. He brought his hand to his eyes to wipe away the sweat slowly going down his forehead. He let out an annoyed grumble as he looked over to his nightstand and seen the time on his digital clock which shined a dull green but in the early morning shadows it glowed with magnificence. It was only 6:45 AM. He let out another annoyed groan as he sat up on his bed. He might as well get ready for the day and its usual awfulness. Riles lifted his legs off of the bed and tossed them to the side to the cold wooden floor of the semi-messy-semi-organized room. The floor mostly only had clothes and the odd chip bag, but it wasn't a disaster like most room's belonging to people like him. Which was amazing since he lived alone. As his sister moved out a month ago, due to him being a shitty kid. Shame, he could be worse.

Riles entered his bathroom which was connected to his room and took off his clothes and took a quick 5 minute shower so he wouldn't smell too bad although he always smells like cigarettes by the end of the day. When he finished he put on a clean set of clothes and proceeded to brush his teeth in a monotonous manner for a necessary 3 minutes. He spit out the toothpaste and spit and tossed his toothbrush aside haphazardly. He walked down the long hallway until he reached the end of the hall which led to a nice overhang which overlooked the entryway on the lower floor it looked expensive and ritzy. More Ritzy than what he should be living in. But he didn't want to leave. Because he has his pride damn it! Riles walked down the stairs to the entry way and went straight from the stairs which led to another short hallway which had hanging paintings which belonged to his parents they were rich people paintings at that. Most guest would notice that there was no family portraits or family photos on the walls or on the various tables, stands or anywhere where one would reasonable find family photos. That's because his parent's nor his sister's were big on the ideas of photos so now Riles lives in a house that doesn't even feel like his own. He liked the impersonal touch to the house.

Riles exited out of the hallway to a fancy kitchen which looked cleaner than one would expect a 16 year to own. He quickly pulled out a frying pan and made some scrambled eggs and put some bread in the toaster. After a few moments of cooking passed Riles put all of his food on a plate and took it to the living room and flopped down onto the fancy leather couch and started to nibble at his food, he was deep in thought. He couldn't help but think back to that strange dream he had before waking up. It was so strange. It was impossible not to think about it in greater detail before the day eats away at the memory of the dream like he was eating his toast. But he couldn't help but think back to that strange man's words. Invitees... Was there others besides him in that dream? Is that possible? Who knows. This world is strange enough so he cannot deny it. But it didn't matter it was only a dream. And dreams only matter if you can reach them and he can't reach of any of his so it was hopeless to focus on such idle fancies.

Riles finished his plate of toast and eggs with a few minutes to spare for his walk to school. So he decided to clean off of his plate in the sink and leave it by the side of it so he can put away when he gets home tonight. It was now time for school. god did he hated going to school. But he has to go. Riles walked though the short hallway out of the kitchen to the front door and he picked his discarded school bag next to the stairs in which he absentminded tossed aside when he got home last semester, its amazing it isn't too dusty or dirty. But he made sure it looked presentable if only to keep the rumor mongrels of his back for a few seconds. With that he opened the door and left his home after locking the door behind him and after doing down the stairs of his door way he walked down the only fancy street in Ravenwood down to his high school. Which would take about 15 - 25 minutes. A few times he considered going back home and sleep but he decided against it since he can't be skipping the first day without causing the school's ire. So he dreadfully walked to school after putting on his headphone and played his music loud on his phone so he couldn't hear the whispers around as he walked to school.

Familiar hallways lead to classrooms she passed by in the previous year. Along the way she lost track of how many people greeted her, either with exuberant waves, pats on the shoulder, or smiles that blended the line between being sincere and false. Some, she imagined, were glad to see her after her disappearance all summer. Or they at least looked forward to seeing what she brought them from Europe. Vacationing in Greece, Italy, and France for three months tended to put a damper on showing up for parties that ended up with people wasted and looking to hook up, of which she was more than happy to skip out on, but it also meant everyone who was anyone knew that there were things to expect from overseas. Well, that could be taken care of later. First things first -- finding a seat in the classroom that let her have a window view!

Luckily for the blonde, she was one of the first to arrive in there and had a choice of wherever she wanted to settle down. In the back corner was her favorite, mostly because those were weaker eyesight were better suited for the front row, and because it also happened to give her the best view of the classroom. She couldn't help it; people watching was one of her habits and guilty pleasures. So much could be learned from observing others.

Pulling out her notebook-turned-sketchbook, she found herself immediately beginning the journey of filling a page with doodles. Anatomy practice always made her feel better.

School
(First Period)
As people began to pile into the classroom, the teacher, Mr. Burando, followed. Unlike most other teachers in Ravenswood, or in general, Burando was probably the most un-quirky person in the world. He always wore only three colors: Beige, White, or grey. He had short blonde hair and clear, round glasses that sat upon his average-shaped head. He stood at his desk, and said in his usual monotone voice, "Today, class, you have homeroom all day. So you won't be leaving this room unless you must use the restroom or ingest some aqua. Also, where you will be sitting shall be your seat for the year." The room was filled some sighs and fistbumps, before Mr. Burando starting talking again. "Also, class, today we have a new student." He motioned to Sam, who had just walked in, and motioned him to stand next to the desk in the front of the room. "This is Sam. He will be staying with us for about one year, so please accommodate him as you please." Burando gestured for Sam to sit down, and gave one last comment. "My wife mentioned something for us to do today, since we have a lot of free time. Today, you will be put in groups, and will be required to talk to each other. Please, do not harm one another."
Then he began to list off names to be put in groups. "-Okaru and Patience in Group 5. In group 6, theres Riles, Mary, Sam, and Markus. Good luck." He motioned to the collection of desks by the window, where Mary was already sitting.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Markus was actually kind of excited for a free day, until the mention of a school project. He was never the social kind, but he had been put with a hodgepodge of different people. There was little Miss Perfect already over by where they were supposed to meet. Of course. Then there was that delinquent that he was pretty sure wasn't, and the new kid. Sighing, Markus adjusted his glasse,s grabbed his backpack, and took a seta opposite of Mary.
"Hey. Nice to formally meet the richest girl in school." He held his hand out to Mary over the table, expecting some sort of retort.

Jeanne awoke to the annoying ringing of her old alarm clock. Rolling over and feeling exhausted she opened her eyes to be greeted by the red numbers 6:45. Staring at it blankly the realization slowly dawned on her that by accident she had set her alarm for 6:45 instead of 5:45. She was going to be late for school. With all signs of exhaustion gone she shut off her alarm, hopped out of bed and quickly got dressed. Throwing on a plan white shirt, faded sweater, and a red skirt Jeanne shot over to the mirror and quickly brushed her hair into submission.

Luckily, she had prepared her backpack the night before just in case something like this happened. She grabbed her and phone before heading downstairs. Slowing down from her running pace she quietly made her way downstairs and peaked around the corner. Her parents were sitting in the dining room eating their breakfast, a meal that Jeanne would have to skip today. For now, she would have to just do her best to quietly make her lunch and not disturb her parents.

After she finished making her lunch Jeanne went to the door and put on her shoes. School was about an hour and half walk from her house. If she really hurried she might only be a few minutes late rather than a whole half an hour. The Brightside to this was that she was definitely going to get her exercise for the day. She whispered have a good day and exited the front door heading off onto her way to school.

With a fast walk/jogging pace Jeanne had made good time, although the fact that she sprinted the last five minutes was probably a factor as well. Either way she still arrived only a few moments after class started rather then a half an hour. Looking a little out of breath Jeanne entered the classroom to the sight of kids grouping up in what looked like to be a total of six groups. Mr. Burando must have given out some kind of assignment or something already.

As she entered class Mr. Burando turned to look at her. I’m very sorry that I’m late” she told him apologetically. “Make sure you get here on time from now on Jeanne. We are doing a group activity where you have to socialize with your group mates. You’re with Riles, Mary, Markus and the new student Sam”. As he spoke he motioned to the back corner where Mary and Markus were at. Jeanne nodded at him and walked over to where Markus and Mary were at. “Good morning group mates.” She said cheerfully with a voice full of energy.

Riles made it to school on time. No doubt shocking his classmates and teacher. He normally didn't show up until halfway though class smelling of cigarette smoke which often got him sent back to the office. When he walked down the hall of the school he could see that everybody stopped talking and stared at him with unsubtle intensity, not long after when he glared at their direction they looked away and whispered among themselves. Saying things like "I heard he was so bad that his sister moved out on him...." Or I heard he's the murderer on the news lately." and the like. Most of it was all bullshit really. But he didn't really care to argue other wise, nobody listens to what a delinquent has to say.

Riles was one of the first to arrive behind the rich girl, Mary. Riles has a distaste for the rich, funny since in a few years he will be rich when he gets his inheritance from his parents. But Yet Riles sat to her right. For two reasons, he liked the back and she stole his usual spot as well as the fact he hoped that if she sat close to her the rumors mongrels won't be as loud since with miss money bags they tend to be more quiet with their rumors.

Riles flicked his silver coated lighter as the teacher spoke ignoring most of his words especially the use of aqua instead of water. But the part that annoyed him most so far today is the fact they need to pair up, it looked like where they sat is who they are paired up with. Riles let out an annoyed grunt as he was paired up with Mary, Markus, and the new kid Sam who was introduced not to long ago. Riles took his time to move to talk to the others in his group before a girl who was late run in and apologized to the teacher and asked which group she was in, she was in there's. If Riles remember correctly she tried to kill her own sister. Great, an even bigger troublemaker than him, at least he never tried to kill somebody before.

Riles let out another sigh as the girl grouped up with them and said her hi's Riles lazily raised his hand in a sort of greeting but it was so apathetic and lazy that it was hard to tell with him. Good thing he didn't need to move. Riles decided to speak. "Looks like we're stuck with each other for the next year." Riles said bluntly out of the blue, he wasn't really pleased with the group he's stuck with but he would've never been happy with any group really. "Since I'm required to talk to you all... also not to harm you... we should all introduces ourselves to the new kid for courtesy's sake and why he shouldn't talk to us after this class... I'm Riley Atwood but everybody just calls him Riles."

The morning was a blur to Carol; there was a strange dream she had but other than that, nothing of note happened.

Well, if anything of note happened then she should have snapped out of her fugue. It wasn't as if she was mentally ill or anything, she just wasn't a morning person, so much so that the early hours of the day just swept past her. Still, years and years routine being carved into her brain, repetitive action spanning ever since she could remember carried her though these treacherous Godforsaken hours and the next thing she knew, she was on her way to school.

As confusion melted away to be replaced by awareness she quickly checked herself. Her clothes seemed to be perfectly fine; she always dressed decently though she made sure that her attire was comfortable rather than eye-catching; it never did anyone any good to look good but feel bad doing it. She giggled into her scarf at the thought, even as she made sure that she had everything she needed for this wonderfully temperate day.

It was cool enough in the morning to justify wearing her scarf -though she would wear it whatever the weather- She had a feeling this day was going to be a good one.

Now if only she didn't have a feeling that she was forgetting something.

....
Homeroom was... Different but then again, it wa better than having to do introductions in front of the class. Oh, its not like she didn't enjoy them, and it was fun watching how people acted out more often than not, but having a small intimate group was nice in its own way.

As usual, she kew most in her group and so homeroom was essentially a free period. If thr wanted her ro have fun with this, they really should have just asked.

Starting at a new school was always a pain. He didn't know anybody, all of his friends were back home in NYC, and on top of that, he had to figure out where everything was fast, or risk being late for homeroom on his first day, which would no doubt land him with the label of 'slacker' before his teachers and fellow students even got to know him. He had finally arrived at Mister Burando's class with a minute to spare. He had no idea where he was supposed to sit, and it was clear that his teacher noticed this, gesturing to an empty desk when he introduced him to the rest of the class as the new kid. 'Great.' Sam groaned in his head. 'Now they know I'm the new kid...' He was hoping to play dumb and act like he had been at this school this whole time...maybe that would make finding friends a bit easier...he simply smiled, and waved. "Hey everyone..." He said. "Can't wait to get started."

It was then that Burando announced that they would be working in groups today. He scanned around the room for the group of desks Burando was gesturing to. After finding it, he walked over, sitting in an empty seat, putting his backpack down at his feet as he sat. Things already seemed to be off to a rocky start... "Uh...hey." He said with a small smile. "I'm Sam." He said, holding his hand out to anyone who would shake it.

Joy on a stick. Group assignments were never that appealing because of the forced socialization aspect. That said, she didn't loathe them as much as others, and as the group formed, Mary kept a polite smile on her face to take in the sight of all of them. Some she recognized, albeit in varying levels of familiarity. Moving past the small talk and introduction circle would be in the best interest for them all. Without missing a beat, the blonde gladly led the way, and hoped the others would jump on the bandwagon with her.

"It's a pleasure to meet you all officially," she said with a light laugh in her voice. Despite Markus' expectation of some retort, his hand was taken with a firm grip and shaken briefly before retracting back to her side of the desk.

Markus, Jeanne, Riley (Riles?), Sam, Carol. Names and faces were matched.

Clearing her throat, she clapped her hands together. "How about we play the Answer Game? That's a way to get to know each other quickly. It's simple, too, since it's just asking questions. I'll start it off by asking something, then everyone replies, and the next person asks something. So, ah, what is everyone's favorite color? Light blue is mine, and white."

Seeing Sam hold his hand out for a handshake Jeanne reached out her own and shook his hand ."My name is Jeanne, it is a pleasure to meet you Sam." she said as she let go of his hand. Choosing to ignore Riles suggestion of why Sam shouldn't talk to them outside of the class she decided to focus on Mary's suggestion. Almost everyone in the group knew everyone else's names and reputations. Really the only one that Jeanne didn't know at least a little about was Sam for obvious reasons, plus some sort of game did sound fun, considering the two suggestions that were put forward and the lack of direction form the teacher it was the best plan. "I will go next. My favorite color would have to be purple, then maybe black or red." After she finished she looked around at the different faces to see which person would go next.

Ah, fun, everyone was getting allong swimmingly... Or at least it seemed that way to Carol: Mark and Mary were doing that weird and needless aggravation of needless sexual tension that was totally unnecessary but somewhat central in the trashy novels most like reading, New Kid Sam was making friends with Nice Girl Jenny, and Riles was being... himself but that was easily ignored and if anyone could deal with being thrown to the wayside, it was the troublemaker who geuinely didn't want to be there.

It was best to just let him have his way and not poke that angry tiger any further, encourage interaction and increase rapport to ease the integration of Sam into their little circle and visa versa, and stop the two from doing anything lewder than handholding - not that there was anything lewder than that but it was the thought that counted.

"Me next! Me next!" No Carol was NOT bouncing in her seat when she tried to get everyone's attention but whether they liked it or not, the common human reaction to a sudden influx of noise was to look and she soon found herself confronted with surprised if not exasperated gazes. " Everyone her calls me Carol and Black's pretty neat with how you can make it work with anything."

She never really understood how that worked, but she wasn't any less thankfull for her LBD; it even went well with her scarf, though she had to unfold it and wear it as a shawl.

Riles was put to the wayside like he expected. How he likes it. But the boring teacher said he was mandated to speak to these follow troublemakers and little perfect angels. So he had to speak to them. First the new kid introduced himself as Sam and put his hand out Riles just stared at the hand before miss sister killer shook his hand likely trying to get an ally in this world after everybody hated her for her attempted murder. Riles let a small tch sound escape his mouth. Next Miss moneybags suggested they play the answer game, first was favorite colors. How trite.

But a few people of the group spoke up giving their answers. Mary's was white and light blue, how expected of a rich girl. Miss sister killer's was purple, black, and red. Riles let out an annoyed huff of air at the idea that the dirty sister killer could think she deserved to speak to anybody. Next was miss perfect orphan. Who said her favorite color was black. Which took Riles by surprised. He didn't expect that of all 'colors' to be her favorite. It was at that moment he decided to be a smart ass. "Does Black really count as a color?" Riles questioned with a raised eyebrow. He just wanted to be a pain.

But it was his turn to answer. "Well, no matter, I guess my favorite color is red... maroon to be specific." He answered honestly, he didn't know why but he liked the darker red's color.

Markus could see the tension begin to build up around the table, so he decided to quickly move the conversation along. "Well, my favorite color is Purple, and my second favorites are Green and Orange." But this was getting their group nowhere, and they had about twenty-five more minutes before the day ended. Markus attempted to think of something, anything that could be a common interest within all these vastly different people. hen he got it. "Have you guys heard of the Dream Killers?" He blurted out. He knew this may be a sensitive subject for some, but it was the only thing interesting that happened in Ravenswood and the only thing that came to his mind just now. The Dream Killer was rumor about an entity that lived in peoples dreams, lured them into comas somehow, and killed them whilst they were out. He had done lots of research on the subject, as, like he had previously said, it had been the only interesting thing in Ravenswood to happen in a long time.
----------------------------------------------------------
Matt had dark rings under his eyes all day. He had been staying up all night recently to finish his game he was working on, for he desired to be the first citizen of Ravenswood to be famous for something. He had almost fallen asleep at his desk several times when his group was chattering, but he managed. Then he heard a voice. "Mathew........game........programmer......fame......want?" even though the sentence was blurry, Matt could tell what it was saying. Yes, he wanted fame as a game programmer. Yes, he wanted to leave Ravenswood behind, and all the boring things in it. But he couldn't up and leave class. He would have to wait until after school to follow his dreams...

To Jeanne's surprise she actually shared a favorite color with a few of the others. Well it wasn't that surprising to be honest, Red, purple, and black were very common choices for favorite colors. The only surprise would have been if someone had said periwinkle or some other uncommon color. Now that she thought about it did black really count? It is the absence of all color. Does something that is suppose to lack color count as a color? Well it seemed everyone else was going with it so she wouldn't have to take black out of the picture leaving just purple and red. With a new debate about if black worked in this situation her mind drifted away from the current conversation and only the word killer brought her back to the current reality.

Flinching when she heard the word Killer it took her a moment to realize that Markus wasn't talking about her. The Dream killer, A magical entity that murdered people why they were unconscious, probably just a rumor. Come to think of it didn't she have a weird dream last night? Maybe the stories about the dream killer were starting to mess with her head and forced her to start dreaming about spooky voices in dark rooms. "Dream Killer, that's those rumors about some sort of spooky thing going around murdering people in their sleep right?" other people would probably know more about it then her.

"Black is too a color!" Carol argued back, quite enthusiastically if she said so herself. Black totally was a color, and it was very nice color too! It somehow evoked the best and worst in people, an blur of ambiguity, a solid divider, the shadow of an enigma, and the silhouette that covers all things. Black was a natural color of the world, from the shadows cast by light, to the very edges of... well anything if you look really closely; if you put a red vase against a white wall, the mind will automatically add in a thin black outline, because that's just how it worked. "Color by definition is just an effect of light moving and all that, and when no light comes back after hitting an object, then black is 'seen'. Still, this null effect is counted as some effect, meaning that the only true absence of color comes about when light is unimpeded or something is invisible. Black is awesome, and you two are just jealous of it's awesomeness."

Carol ended with her signature smile, a small and petty victory over the philistines that tried to speak against the validity of the undeniably best color. Riles was a bit more obvious about it, but she saw how Jeanne's eyes shifted with thought. Now they knew and knowing new things is always good; the fact that they were furthering conversation was just a bonus at this point.

Carol made sure to school her features to ensure none knew what she truly felt about the Dream Killers. Dreams were always a form of escape to her, one very difficult to indulge in since she all but stopped dreaming -stopped remembering her dreams, some would say- after she left childhood. The lucidity of it all, the experience of mixing in matching the things you knew to form things that you never thought to imagine was always a novel experience and her mind's eye always saw far and wide when it came to these few precious moments. So when something rose to threaten this cherished pass time, how ever rarely it occurred, she would be the last to admit fear.

Carol woke up in a dream. It wasn't hard to figure out; the sky was never this rich a shade of purple and green, she slept in her bed and not on a thin piece of fabric keeping her dry and afloat, and there were no waterfalls in the middle of the open sea. Oh and wips of smoke don't normally coalesce to form the facsimile of a human form. She had heard of the Dream Killers before, just a rumor and a whisper there, and though it sounded silly she couldn't help but fear that there was a sliver of truth in the fact.

Dream Killers killed in Dreams.

So she killed it.

Riles stopped listening to the orphan after her first sentence. And simply give her a shrug once she smugly smiled at him "Sure, black's a color than." Riles said plainly not wanting to argue with the girl about the validity of the 'color' black. Riles honestly prefer grays over black. But he still wore some black himself since it was such an easy color to work with.

Riles listened to Markus change of topics asking if he heard of the dream killer. Who besides Sam hasn't? Riles questioned internally.. Riles himself didn't really care to learn more about the killer since he wasn't effected by it nor knew anybody directly who was killed by the supposed dream killer so why should he care? Riles simply scoffed when the wannabe killer spoke up once more he decided to speak up. "I'm surprised you aren't buddy-buddy with them, Jeanne. " Riles bluntly spoke making a not so subtle hint about her being an attempted murderer.

Riles decided to say his piece about the topic. "I know about the dream killer anybody who lived here long enough knows about them, but I don't care if there's a murderer running around, he hasn't killed anybody I know so I don't have incentive to care." Riles said plainly. He truly didn't care about people randomly dying since it was nobody he knew. People die, you can't control it, so why bother getting upset over it? "I bet none of you really care either, I mean it hasn't struck any of us personally so why bother caring?" Riles bluntly asked the group. And now to finish his piece. "I'm not fake enough to pretend to care that a person I've never met and who probably would've hated me anyways, died. So there's no point in me caring?" Riles finished.

A new sound would have been heard among the chit chatter between the students of the new year. This was the sound of the classroom door opening and slamming shut after a student walked in. This would be a student no one in the classroom would recongize as he had just moved into town like another person in class.

"I'm sorry I'm late." The boy said apologing to the teacher.
