Name:
Phantom Thief Code Name:

Appearance: (I'd prefer they look like someone who'd actually be walking the street in 21st century America)
Phantom Thief Outfit: (Describe it with words)
Phantom Thief Weapons: (Both melee and ranged. They should fit with your Persona and/or your character's image in their eyes and the eyes of others)

Background:

Personality: (This is more about showing than telling, so you don't have to put much into here if you can roleplay them to show it)
Quirks: (What makes your character stand out?)

Persona: (Your character's Persona should represent both how they see themselves and how others see them. If you can't figure one out just message me and I'll be happy to help.)
Persona's Appearance: (Describe it with words)

I'd suggest checking under the Fridge Brilliance section of TV Tropes page on Persona 5 for more ideas on how to design your character's costume and gear to fit the backstory and personality you've given them: Persona 5 / Fridge - TV Tropes

Phantom Thief Code Name: Oni

Appearance: b06015f77def1c5390d627782dbfff38.jpg
Phantom Thief Outfit: His attire is a large black, open jacket that is tattered and torn along the tail that hangs on his shoulders. Underneath the jacket he wears a tiger stripe t-shirt with a sarashi covering his midriff underneath that. His pants are black school uniform slacks with the cuffs tattered and torn. His feet are adorned in dark steel toed boots. His hands are wrapped up in yellow athletic bandages that go halfway up his forearms. The mask he wears is designed after an oni with two small horns protruding from the forehead.
Phantom Thief Weapons: Chain w/ Counterweight and Grenade Launcher

Background: A rising star of the high school boxing world, Deckard was on the fast track to earning a sports scholarship to the university of his dreams. During a tournament match he knocked out his opponent in the fourth round. When his opponent came to he declared that Deckard had cheated. Obviously Deckard refuted the accusations. He knew he didn't cheat. He had no reason to.

Tournament officials investigated. They performed a drug test and checked his equipment. Deckard was dumbfounded by the results. He was found positive for performance enhancing drugs in his system as well as in his drink. Deckard was disqualified from the tournament and was banned from participating in further boxing matches for the rest of the year. This also meant that his chance at a sports scholarship was thrown out the window as well. He never cheated yet suddenly his entire world began to spiral our of control because of it. All the while his opponent was mocking him with that cocky smile of his. His anger overcame him and he lunged at his accuser all while declaring that he was set up. His accuser left the tournament that day unconscious and on a stretcher. That was the last memory Deckard had of that day.

A few days passed and Deckard was informed by his coach that he was no longer able to participate in club activities and he was being charged for assault by his opponent. Banned from the boxing club Deckard fell into a state of lethargy. Branded a cheater and a thug he spends most of his days being feared by the student body save for the delinquents who freely harass and fight him. At home he avoids contact with his family locking himself in his room to watch anime as it's the closest thing to martial arts as he's gonna get until his suspension is up.

Personality: Ever since being banned from the boxing world Deckard has become much more aggressive than he used to be. His anger is easily ignited and it doesn't help his image of being a punk. Anger issues aside he's actually rather average.
Quirks: Aside from the resting glare he has and injuries, Deckard is generally avoided by the general student body. Even in the hallway they give him a wide berth.

Persona: Blackbeard
Persona's Appearance: Blackbeard wears a red jacket with a bandoleer of flintlock pistols strung across his chest and two pistols hanging from his hips. He wields a cutlass with a hand guard in the shape of a demon's face. His head is engulfed in flames with only his demonic yellow eyes piercing through the flames.

Name: Cloe Tobias
Phantom Thief Code Name: Jet

Phantom Thief Outfit: She wears a dark black leather jacket with a short sleeve crop top under it. The crop top that is a dull gray with holes in it and has the Rolling Stones logo on it. She has black ripped jeans and combat boots with crosses on the heals made of white jewels. She is also wearing finger less gloves and has a cross necklace. Her mask is black and just covers the eyes like a basic vigilante mask except it has two tear drop shapes under where the eyes are.
Phantom Thief Weapons: switch blade and a pistol

Background: Cloe grew up in a very christian household and was told how she was to act. She followed the rules and her religion dutifully until she met Sofie. Sofie was the opposite of her with neon blue hair and piercings. Sofie didn't have many friends because they all thought she was a bad influence, but Cloe didn't care. The two of them became really close and eventually started dating. Sofie had changed the rule abiding christen girl into a potty mouthed delinquent.

Sofie had went with Cloe to get piercings, a tattoo, and her hair dyed. Cloe began back talking her parents and not agreeing with how most people live chained down by the rules. Sofie changed Cloe completely and Cloe loved it. However, Cloe didn't know that Sofie had gotten into drugs. Her girlfriend began selling and using drugs on school and out of school. This lead to Sofie and Cloe fighting when Cloe found out that Sofie was using cocaine. They broke up and Sofie left. Within that week Sofie was using Heroin and ended up stabbing a student at the school who failed to pay for the weed they purchased. Sofie was arrested because she was 18(held back in school) and put into jail.

Now everyone thinks that Cloe is also a druggie because they know she dated Sofie and they think that she will also stab someone if they get in her way. Cloe still defends Sofie and says she is not a bad person and gets angry whenever people talk about it near her, causing everyone to whisper and be cautious around her. She has no other friends because she thought all she needed was Sofie and is trying to get over this whole thing and make people stop seeing her as a druggie.

Personality: Cloe doesn't like how rules restrict everyone and thinks that everyone should have the right to be themselves. She doesn't like how society is so quick to judge people and thinks that people should get to know them before they make their assumptions. She talks back without hesitation when she doesn't agree with something and doesn't filter out the swear words. She will take a stand for what she believes in and wont back down. She gets angry easily when people are being unfairly treated and thinks that everyone is equal.
Quirks: Has many face piercings, Tattoo on her left breast, dyed hair, wears crosses as a joke, walks with confidence.

Persona: Aradia
Persona's Appearance: Aradia takes the form of a woman made of indigo crocuses wearing the outline of a gown made of shattered and reformed stained glass and standing atop a collapsed church steeple. She holds her hands open, and cards flit about in the space between them, constantly shuffling themselves.

Name: August Jean-Pierre III

Phantom Thief Code Name: Spider

Appearance: August is a young man of Haitian descent. He is fairly tall for his age (6'0") and possess a relatively trim but muscular frame. He bears a distinctive cross-shaped marking along the upper portion of his jaw. His hair is shaved on the sides and he wears what you'd call dreadlocks in the form of a mohawk. This along with his interests gives off a very 'Punk" aesthetic.

Phantom Thief Outfit:

tumblr_oeym2iiAJG1riuxx2o1_1280.png
tumblr_o0wgclQy3T1snsjmyo1_500.gif

Spider's outfit consists of a top hat, vest, a bone charm or necklace, a cane, pants and boots, In lieu of a mask, Spider dons skeletal facepaint, typically found in practitioners of voduun. He's known to adorn bone iconography.

Phantom Thief Weapons: Canes & Bo Staffs / Scope Rifle

Background: August Jean Pierre or Spider as he's known in the metaverse is a student from an immigrant family hailing from the Republic of Haiti. His family is what you would call "Fallen nobility". He is a descendant from a prominent line of shamanistic priests dating back to Haiti's revolutionary period as a French-governed colony. His roots prior to Haiti's settlement are a bit murky, however there are stories of a powerful shaman clan, who applied the teachings from their homeland to the New World and helped reform the modern Voodoo religion to what it is today.

For most of his life, August was trained in the traditions of his people, he became something of a specialized shaman healer, known to treat cognitive and other atypical ailments, his work would grant him attention from abroad and once his work became known to the world, the offers and visa's to study abroad came rolling in.

He eventually came to the states on a student Visa, in part due to his potential as a medical professional. A family of Physicians would eventually come to host the young man, in hopes of nurturing his gifts and providing him an opportunity to learn Western medicine. August seems to get along fairly well with his host family, despite his vexation for their eccentric customs and mannerisms.

While attending school, August wasn't particularly known as a troublemaker, though trouble would find Austin once word got out about his extracurricular "practices". In Haiti, treating people without a license is a non-issue. Culturally speaking, there is a certain esteem and acceptance for practitioners of Vodoo arts. While not illegal, it is considered taboo in America. His practices brought him the ire of some of the more conservative adults, as well as students who wanted to use Vodoo for their nefarious ends. One such student he rebuffed happened to be the son of a prominently prejudiced judge. The boy eventually found the fix he was looking for in procuring some illegal substances, though not before his crime spree was put to an end. August may be a lot of things, a petty drug dealer he is not. Rather than accept responsibility for his own actions, he pinned his "wilding" on being under the influence of Black magic, of course that meant August was chiefly responsible for the incident, and was arraigned on various spuriously devised charges. Since the trial , August he's been held in Juvenile Hall serving out his sentence. As a result of this mishap, August will lose his study Visa and be extradited back to Haiti, once he is released.

Personality: August is a charming yet smarmy kind of fellow. Asshole comes to mind...well, it's more like hes an ass without really trying to be. He is assertive, appearing somewhat cocky but that's only because of his natural confident persona, he doesn't care for people who don't apply themselves according to their potential. He is a consummate professional, he prides himself in his work. He can be unyielding when it comes to pursuing a particular goal, otherwise he's typically chill demeanored. He's the kind of guy who moves according to a plan or strategy if there is one, he doesn't mind taking action into his own hands if necessary but he's what you'd call "lowkey".

Quirks: Body & Face painting, his artistic side is shown through his appreciation of body paint. He does his own paintwork. Another quirk of August is predilection for reading. Not uncommon to find him reading. He likes weird music that cool kids don't listen to.

Persona: Anansi / Legba

Persona's Appearance: Spider's first persona takes the appearance of a West-African man with multiple limbs. As far as clothes and other notable features go, Anansi wear what appears to be a tribal garb as well as a beaded necklace. Something resembling that of a spiritual practitioner or shaman in aesthetic.

This is Anansi. Anansi, the trickster from the folktales of the Ashanti of West Africa, takes the shape of a spider who goes to the sky god to buy his stories to share with the world. ... Anansi the trickster is a West African Deity He often takes the shape of a spider and is considered to be the god of all knowledge of stories.

Additionally, spider's persona takes the form of Legba. Legba's design is a bit more intricate than Anansi. Legba appearance is adorned in bones, a bone mask, torso and shoulder mount can be observed. Emanating around Legba are several skull-shaped spheres. Legba's presence commands a dreadful foreboding.

Legba is a loa in Haitian Vodou, who serves as the intermediary between the loa and humanity. He stands at a spiritual crossroads and gives (or denies) permission to speak with the spirits of Guinee, and is believed to speak all human languages. In Haiti, he is the great elocutioner.

Name: Mason Conroy

Phantom Thief Code Name: Outlaw

Appearance: Tokiya-uta-no-prince-sama-34676190-500-385.jpg

Phantom Thief Outfit: Mason wears a black stetson hat atop his head, the brim covering his eyes when he tilts his hat downward. He also wears a black vest with a grey button down shirt, the top two buttons open, showing off a bit of his chest. A bright red bandanna is tied around his neck, which he occasionally pulls over his face. Black fingerless gloves cover his hands, grey faded jeans covering his legs along with black chaps, wearing black cowboy boots with razor sharp spurs attached to the heels. He also wears a faded brown Clint Eastwood style poncho over this shoulders, this serves as a sort of cloak when it isn't covering his entire upper body. Tying the ensenble together is his black mask, tied around his head with a knot in the back, the cloth long enough to extend down to his lower back, catching the wind.

Phantom Thief Weapons: Melee: A single bladed machete, with a knuckleguard that doubles as brass knuckles.
Ranged: Six Shot Revolver

Background: Mason came from a privileged, wealthy family. His ancestors were among those to have first settled in the American West, and thus they reaped the benefits of such a reputation. Mason didn't agree with his family on much. His parents saw their ancestors as pioneers of an untamed, wild landscape, where as Mason saw them as a bunch of pompous, slave owning, toothless hicks that sat back in luxury while the people they paid pennies died doing their work for them. Despite this however, Mason got along with his parents fairly well. While they did disagree on a few things, Mason wasn't dumb enough to openly rebel against them, in fact, there were quite a few things they agreed on. Even though Mason disliked his ancestors, he did like hearing stories from his parents and the family records about the Old West. He was particularly drawn to the Outlaws and Bandits of the Wild West (Much to his parents' dismay), Billy The Kid, Jesse James, people that didn't live by society's rules and struck out on their own, stealing from the rich and giving it to those in need.

Mason was known for being a troublemaker in school. He was given the nickname "Klepto" due to his tendency to steal things from other students and even teachers, these thefts greatly inspired by the stories of stagecoach and train robberies he'd read about. He usually had good intentions with his thefts, however. For example, if a bully was threatening other students with a knife, the next day, his knife would be gone, leaving him defenseless against his numerous victims looking for revenge. Another time, there was an unfairly cruel teacher who would constantly schedule tests and pop quizzes on information he hadn't taught yet so the students couldn't possibly pass. Who do you think stole the answer key right from under the teacher's nose?

This thieving reputation would soon come back to haunt him, however. On display in the Mason Household's main foyer was a priceless relic from the Conroy settlers of the west, a shining gold belt buckle said to had belonged to Mason's great ancestor, Alistair Conroy, one of the first settlers of the Old West. It was set to be auctioned off in the coming days, the reputation of such an artifact would no doubt give Mason's parents quite the philanthropic reputation. However, on the day the buckle was supposed to be put on display, it was gone, taken right from its glass case. Mason's parents immediately blamed their own son for it on the grounds of his lack of respect for his ancestors, and his checkered past in taking things that didn't belong to him. Mason was truly innocent, but he had no way of proving it. He also knew who the true thief was. A collector by the name of Gerald Rockwell has been pestering Mason’s parents for months on end about that buckle, naming price after price in an attempt to buy it off of them, which they continually refused. Mason pleaded with his parents, insisting that Gerald was the one who stole it, but of course, he had no actual proof aside from his own hunch. As a result, he is now awaiting trial, his parents pestering him daily to confess to stealing the priceless belt buckle and hiding it somewhere. It is here that his resolve is tested. His own family and the judge overseeing the trial seem to like treating him like a criminal...he might as well give them what they want. This was the beginning of the Phantom Thief known as Outlaw.

Personality: Mason tends to be a mix of coolheadedness and hotheadedness. If you get on his good side, he is very calm, funny, and even a bit charming. If you prove yourself to be annoying however, he won't hesitate to let you know, beginning with snarky, sarcastic remarks, but after a while jumping straight to heated shouting, depending on how mad you've made him. Usually however, his default personality is chill and kind, and as long as you don't do anything to agitate him, you should be fine.

Quirks: Ever since discovering his persona, Mason always keeps his right hand at his hip, ready to draw his gun, despite there usually being nothing there outside of the meta-verse. He also keeps a bandanna wrapped around his neck. No reason really, he just likes the look.

Persona: Wild Bill

Persona's Appearance: Wild Bill (named for the famous outlaw/gunman of the old west), takes on the appearance of a cybernetic cowboy. It is a blue steel robot who's rested metal body is covered with a dark black cloak, a worn, stitched together hat sitting atop its head, the light of its one cybernetic eye shining brightly, locking onto its targets. The robot has two bullet belts strapped to its torso and waist respectively, the waist belt equipped with two gun holsters, which house massive twin revolvers which serve as the persona's main weapons. Four grenades are hanging off of the belt as well, although these appear to be just for show rather than for actual combat.

Anne Marie saw something in her daughter during that play and from than on took more interest in her. They would meet more and more and at some point Anne Marie offered her daughter a chance to go to LA and getting into acting. Liking drama, idolising her grandfather and wanting to get close to her mother made Christina to agree. At first things went well, her mother's and grandfather's connections got her some Disney roles and a break out role a book adaptation.

However thing soon went down as Anne Marie took more and more control of her daughters career. Spending Christina's earnings in herself and generally using Christina as her return to the high life. Personality: A taciturn elegant manner hiding a cheeky, funloving, rebellious and flirtatious character. A girl of action rather than words, she may not voice her anger or depression but will show it other ways. Her crossdressing is an example showing of her rebellion rather than any belief about her gender as she is a girly girl through and through. A lover of art particularly when used for expression and deep meaning, the more dearing, groundbreaking or barrier breaking the better. Clever and manipulative when she wants to be she knows how to use her acting skills and her position as a fairly known actress.
Quirks: She is a crossdresser, knows various gun twirling tricks thanks to her grandad.

Persona's Appearance: Has the appearance of tall lithe female. She apears to have long brown curly hair under a black curled brimmed and longed crowned hat with carious red feathers. The rest of her clothing is a mix of male and female 17th century fashion: black petticoat breeches wide enough to almost look like a skirt and falls to about her knees and long dark red stockings under it and black shoes with red bow. In addition she wears a red shirt with a black frilly corset. She is armed with a ornate rapier.

Name: Victor Dziedzic

Phantom Thief Code Name: Paladin

Appearance: Victor is a tall young man, around 6' in height, with a medium-thin build. He has short, dark blonde hair that exposes a somewhat large portion of his forehead and extends back to the base of his neck, brown-hazel eyes, a small beauty mark on his right cheek, and light skin. He's typically seen wearing a black cardigan on top of a white or light-colored t-shirt, dark-colored sweatpants or jeans (though he prefers the former), and grey laced-up sneakers with white socks. Victor is also never seen without his pair of black, rectangular-frame glasses resting on his face.

Phantom Thief Outfit: Victor sports a suit of light-grey, almost whitish suit of helmet-less armor. The cuirass bears a golden fox head at the top-center, along with a fur ruff at the neckline. Below the belt, Victor wears a set of platelegs and fur-topped boots. The other ornamental parts of the armor itself are the greaves above his boots which bear golden motifs that resemble the Polish Eagle, his gauntlets, vambraces, and pauldrons, all of which bear decorations resembling golden roses with thorned vines (a subtle reminder of his negative emotions), and a violet half-cape which travels along the right side of his back and can be pulled forward to cover his arm. On his back is a pair of leather holsters for his sword and crossbow. Victor's mask takes on the shape of a gold-colored metallic visor with wing-shaped ornaments near the ears. This armor, according to Victor, is "surprisingly more lightweight than it looks".

Phantom Thief Weapons: Zweihanders / Crossbows

Background: Victor was born in the southeastern states, but moved to the Northeast before he even turned a year old after his father found a job. Growing up, he had a particular fondness for his mother rather than his father due to his mother having a vast amount of knowledge and understanding with regards to his disorder, a form of autism spectrum disorder, on account of several Psychology courses she had taken over the course of her college career. Victor wound up becoming somewhat estranged toward his father, who lacked the necessary knowledge to act properly around him, resulting in Victor getting quite upset at him many, many times over. Nevertheless, Victor would still spend time with him, and even grow to like some of the things his father did, such as rock and alternative songs of the past, rather than the rap and hip-hop of the present.

His parents were both food service workers, with his mother working in school cafeterias and his father working in a bakery, though this didn't limit his ability to cook just about anything he set his mind to. This meant Victor's family was not exactly the richest family out there, but they still managed to get by quite well, and were never left hungry. His parents would go on to work in Central City when Victor and his parents moved once more, wherein his mother would work in the cafeteria of the high school he would attend (to provide moral support when he felt it necessary) and his father would eventually become a head fry cook at a popular teenage hangout spot called Chrome Star, a burger joint known for its retro flair, jukebox, dancing waitresses, and more.

Victor, despite his shortcomings, proved to be a very bright young boy who was able to read from his teacher's manual as early as kindergarten. Through grade school and middle school, he developed a fascination for science and, to a lesser extent, math, under the notion that he was learning how the very world around him worked, and it was this fascination that created a genuine desire in himself to learn more. In due time, he put his mind toward obtaining a good career in the sciences in order to help bolster his family's economy.

To his dismay, however, that road was not as neatly paved as he first assumed. Between less-than-stellar, disruptive classmates who seemed to care little about the material and teachers that lacked any amount of passion toward their chosen profession, Victor had to put in much more effort than he would have liked in order to pull himself through. He succeeded and passed his courses with fantastic grades, sure, but this led to him harboring emotions of distaste and a complete lack of respect for such individuals.

It was in one of his Resource Room periods in his 10th grade year where Victor discovered his ability to help others. He had noticed one of his fellow Special-Ed peers trying to solve a particularly difficult math problem, and by simply explaining how he would go about solving the problem in his very own step-by-step, thorough procedure, Victor had not only helped his classmate solve the problem, but he had also helped them get a substantial foothold in the material as a whole. Victor's heart was warmed to see such an outcome, and it was not long before he decided to extend this help outside of the classroom, toward others who sought help. His mindset was, "if you have a desire to learn, and someone has a desire to teach, bringing the two together can only light the way forward". This mindset was only further reinforced by his mother, who was thrilled to hear her son was doing such a wonderful thing, and even Victor's father was impressed.

Personality: The best way to describe Victor, perhaps, is that he's a human cat. He can be quite shy around new people, often hardly saying a word to them unless he feels like he is either required to (as is the case with most adults), or if he genuinely finds a desire to speak. When he does talk about topics that interest him, however, he can sometimes have a hard time keeping himself quiet. Sometimes, when the situation feels right, he may even give an amount of philosophical insight as to the current situation. It takes a great deal of effort to make him actually laugh, and more often then not he'll just flash a smile and end it there. Outside of that, he typically wears a soft frown.

Victor can be judgmental toward people that do not perform their jobs seriously enough, and this certainly applies to the teachers in his school. He believes that teachers are meant to be the main guiding force in creating a bright future for this or any country, and detests how they seem to bear such lackadaisical attitudes in preparing students, especially the less-privileged or otherwise disadvantaged. It is for that reason that he enjoys tutoring his peers when they ask for it, as he feels he is doing his part in helping to fill the gaps in the metaphorical bridge where he believes they exist. Victor takes great pride in his ability to help others, but it is a double-edged sword, since he also realizes that he cannot do this forever, which results in a great deal of weight on his self-esteem if he thinks too far ahead into the future.

He is very loyal to those he can call friends, and will defend them to the best of his ability. Despite his semi-monotone voice, he can be sarcastic, and may bring more than one or two laughs to a group.

Quirks: Victor has a fascination with retro and otherwise old-fashioned things, from music to foods and even locations. That's not to say he doesn't like more modern technology, though. He also has a fondness for furry animals. On top of this, he is an avid on- and offline gamer. Despite being a high school senior, Victor has some childlike aspects to him due to his disorder, and adores spending time with younger relatives on account of his quite active imagination. It's also become something of a running gag that every teacher he presently has, or has ever had, nearly winds up with a headache upon trying to pronounce his surname.

Persona: Hershel of Ostropol (shortened to "Hershel")

Persona's Appearance: Hershel is a rather common character in Jewish humor, hailing from the small river town of Ostropol, in Ukraine. He was an especially witty, impoverished trickster who was known to target the rich and powerful, regardless of who they were. He also played tricks on the common folk as well, albeit without being punished too severely. However, he was also revered as a folk hero of the Ukrainian gentiles, as someone who was able to overcome even the most powerful of forces with his wit alone. A particularly well-known story involves Hershel bringing the Festival of Lights back to a village by challenging and outwitting a band of Goblins and their King.

Hershel appears an an old, sagely man with a long white beard and a cheeky smirk upon his face. He wears a patchwork hooded cloak and a light suit of grey armor with matching gauntlets and brown, fur-topped leather boots. In his right hand is a brass trident that bears eight, small flame-shaped blades, a reference to his accomplishment in restoring the Festival of Lights in the aforementioned story. At Hershel's feet is a large symbol of a six-pointed star that is circumscribed within a magic circle. The star rotates clockwise, while the circle rotates in the other direction.
