Age: 16, going on 17

Year: Second

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Virtue: Humility

Sin: Envy

Appearance:
9c3f51d4f1694f282f47505b901a8c79.jpg

Thief Appearance: (Can be described, can be an image, whatever.)
Takeshi's Thief appearance mirrors his desire to become a doctor, taking in the appearance of a 19th century doctor, with an emmaculate black three piece suit. His mask is very similar to Crow's, though it covers a bit more of his face, taking on the appearance of a plague doctor mask. He wears gloves as well, which are red much like his father'sold appearance.

2706ead647c15183b589eccdee0ffe89.jpg
There are of course differences in the photo, but this is more for an overall idea of his appearance. He doesn't wear a bow tie, instead having a black neck tie, while he of course wears a plague doctor mask, with the eye holes lacking lenses, of course.

Code Name: Faust

Persona: Mephistopheles:
Mephistopheles is a manifestation of Takeshi's willingness to throw everything away if it means protecting those he cares about. It's appearance is familiar to the traditional depiction of demons, with horns and feathered black wings, but it also wears a suit very similar to Arsene's, as demons like Mephistopheles are often depicted in fine clothes like suits.
8f53d135bbe5a82bc8e62a2e4f56ba09.jpg

Personality: Takeshi is definitely his parents son. On one end, he's quiet, collected, and naturally rebellious like his father. On the other, he's intelligent, stubborn, and determined like his mother. But he does have several...defining features. For example, unlike his parents, who preferred meticulous, well thought out plans, Takeshi is more of a fly by the seat of his pants kind of guys. He doesn't really have a plan, more of a vague goal. He's always thinking a mile a minute, his mind racing every solitary second. As said before, he is incredibly intelligent, so his plans aren't usually driven by emotion, and he's known for being a quick thinker. He's always been a very introspective person, and his parents encouraged him to think for himself at a young age, leading to him forming his own, very strong opinions on things, which he will defend even if it kills him. But he is willing to admit when his thinking is flawed, or that he's straight up wrong, and will try to improve later on down the line. Family means everything to him, and he'd sell his soul if it meant protecting the people he cares about (yeah, I know. Cliche.) His biggest flaws include the fact that he often feels pressured to get good grades by his parents, despite the fact that they just want him to do alright, leading to a bit of an oppression complex, his OCD constantly making him obsess uneccesarily about every little thing, his ADD making him sometimes drift off and not pay attention, just being plain stubborn, and lastly, the bottled up feelings of envy as he remains completely humble for all the hard work he does, yet it seems no one acknowledges his accomplishments, leading to him subconsciously envying others.

Background: Takeshi had a relatively decent childhood. His parents were genuinely passionate about raising him, and letting him form his own opinions on things. He was a natural genius, always scoring at the top of his class, being an honor student ever since middle school. He has one sibling, a little sister named Hana. She's about five years younger than he is, and they're very close despite the age gap. He was overjoyed when she was born, and heartbroken when it was discovered she had a rare heart condition. She nearly died when she was just two years old, and it nearly broke the young boy. But, it was then that he first saw his dream. A brilliant surgeon named Kenji Suzume performed a state of the art surgery on Hana, and was able to save hed. Frim that day on, there was no convincing Takeshi otherwise: he was going to be a surgeon. The years went on, and he eventually got an internship under Kenji, something that he's quite proud of.

Other: His Persona, Mephistopheles, is based off of the demon of the same name from the German legend of "Faust" hence his code name. It's also a reference to Takeshi's love of history, a hidden passion of his that he's had ever since he was a child. Also, despite him being quite embarrassed about it, he has a love of video games ahd pop culture, something he got from his "Aunt" Futaba. He of course hides it, and will get defensive if you ask him about it.

Name: Chuya Hikari

Age: 16

Year: First year

Sexuality: Bi-Sexual

Virtue: Charity

Sin: Wrath

Appearance:
567497

Thief Appearance: Wears a black mask resembling a dragon head. On the center of the mask is a blue gem, and the eyes are completely red and glowing. For her outfit, she wears a black trench coat with no buttons or zippers, over a dark grey T-shirt that is a little tight on her skin, a black medium length skirt, and black knee high boots.

Code Name: Darkness

Persona: Barbatos

567501

Description - The manifestation of Chuya's Anger and hatred, as well as all of her sacrifices. It's appearance is that of a heavily armored demon, and it uses a large sword in combat.

Personality: Chuya is a kind and friendly person, who would give up her needs for others if it needs to be done. However, she has often been easy to anger, like if you start spreading rumors of her, Chuya will come at you like a rocket. If you hurt her feelings, she's going to break one of your arms or legs. However, if you make her really mad and hurt her friends, Nowhere is safe from her. Chuya doesn't have a preferred gender to romanticize with. If you are true to your feelings, and confess, she'll love you, no matter if you are a boy or girl. She values friends above all else for the most part, and likes to help others.

Background: Before attending the local Highschool in Tokyo, Chuya was a student at a private school. However, it was within the 8th grade that she was kicked out of the private school due to issues involving some other students. Her parents would eventually be able to enrol her into the public school that is part of the setting in this.

She was born with a mental illness that has her snap whenever someone angers her. When she does, she will focus on assaulting the offender until he or she lays on the ground crying. Afterwords, she comes back to reality and will apologize for snapping like that.

Other: The horn ornaments on her head are clip ons that she thought made her look cute.

Name: Daisuke Kaminari

Age: 16

Year: Second

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Virtue: Patience (Wild Card)

Sin: Greed (Why Wait when you can have it now?)

Appearance: 567773

Thief Appearance: 567778

Code Name: Titan

Persona: Prometheus is a manifestation of Daisuke’s desire to rebel, to strike out against those who have rigged the game from the start and to provide hope to the sheltered huddled masses. Prometheus stole fire from Zeus and gave it as a gift to mankind, and was cruely punished for it, not unlike how Daisuke feels about his current situation, being punished and forced to transfer to a new school and town just for doing what he felt was right.

Prometheus appears as an ancient warrior, engulfed in flames, face obscured by a gladiator’s helmet, his two eyes glowing like the bright embers of a fire. His weapons of choice are a hammer of flame and two whip-like chains hanging from his wrist shackles.
567781

Personality: Daisuke has what is commonly referred to as a “neutral personality”. He is laid back and rational, and doesn’t wear his emotions on his sleeve. While he does have a tendency to keep quiet, this does not mean he isn’t a social butterfly. He is more than willing to put himself out there and make new friends, just in his own way. He has an heir of silent confidence, which can occasionally be mistaken for arrogance, but that is par for the course. Down to his core, he is a kind, caring individual who views himself as a protector for those who are too weak to protect themselves.

Background: Daisuke lived a pretty typical family life. An only child, aside from spending time with his parents, he mostly kept to himself and his schoolwork. He’s not exactly sure what he wants to do with his life yet, but that’s what high school is for, right? At least, that’s what it should be for. The school he attended was corrupt in more ways than one, focusing more on the accolades and recognition they earned from other academic institutions and organizations rather than the safety and well-being of their students.

The administration would constantly turn a blind eye as situations involving bullying and harassment from students and teachers alike would become more and more numerous. From simple beatings to teachers forcing themselves on students, something had to be done.

Stealing a camera from the school’s photography club, he caught photographic evidence of a school admin accepting money from a teacher to stay quiet about said teacher forcing himself upon a female student. Daisuke made copies and sent it out to every student in the school. That teacher would never work again. Unfortunately, this act would not go unpunished. Due to the constant positive test results the teacher turned out yearly, the overwhelming amount of proof was ignored by the administration, and Daisuke would be charged with falsifying evidence and attempted framing. It was clear he was innocent, but when the administration and the courts are stacked against you, there’s not much you can do. Especially when you attack said teacher in court in front of an entire jury of witnesses. Thankfully, rather than getting incarcerated, the court opted to transfer Daisuke to a new school, so that he may ‘rehabilitate’ himself and learn to curb his ‘criminal behavior. After some small negotiations, Daisuke’s parents manage to contact an old family friend of theirs by the name of Makoto Nijima. Turns out his new school was right in their area. Daisuke’s parents asked her if she would be willing to take him in as his legal guardian for the next school year, and of course she accepted. And so begins Daisuke’s journey. This is the origin of the leader of the second generation of Phantom Thieves.

Other: Prometheus was the Titan that stole fire from Zeus in order to save mankind from destruction. The photo evidence in his backstory represents the fire stolen, used to protect those who needed it. It’s a cheesey metaphor, but I think it works in this case XD

Name: Aiko Kawakami

Age: 17

Year: Second

Sexuality: Demi-sexual

Virtue: Kindness

Sin: Pride

Appearance:
568232

Thief Appearance:
Aiko's thief appearance arises from her deep-rooted desire to defend all of those around her, and reap vengeance for those who have suffered at the hands of the powerful. To this Aiko appears as a dark angel, with large wings and a dark purple dress.
568360

568362

Code Name: Valkyrie

Persona: Lilith
Lilith is the personifaction of Aiko's willingness to stand in the face of adversity, even if the Heavens themselves seem to be moving against you. It represents her will to defend those who are oppressed by the powerful, as Lilith herself refused Adam and even God himself when told to be subservient. Aiko refuses to bend to anyone, and hopes to inspire others to rise up with her to overthrow those abuse them.

Lilith is depicted as a beautiful demonic woman with elegant horns, her hair a mane of vicious fire. Fiery runes seem to be traced all across her body. On her back two black wings span wide, while her legs are that of a goats. A tail can also be seen on her. In her hand one can always see a vicious whip.
568238
Personality: A fiery, passionate girl with compassion for just about everyone she meets, Aiko is a constant font of joy to those around her, even if she can't feel that joy herself. This largely stemmed in part from her mother Sadayo Kawakami, a woman who cared deeply for her students, always try to better both their academic and personal lives. This instilled in her a desire to help better all of those around her in her own way, though she is still learning what exactly that is. This kind, giving personality of hers has bordered on the naive at times, and it lead to her being used by those around her quite often. Over the years her kindness has been tempered with mistrust, and the belief that she can only rely upon herself. Aiko is a girl who very much follows her heart in most situations, never wanting to compromise on her beliefs, though this has landed her in trouble often, she still has trouble fully thinking through her actions, if she even thinks on them at all. Still these actions more often than not come from places of love, and a deep seated desire to protect others, namely her little sister Ena.

Despite her impulsive nature, Aiko is surprisingly intelligent, having picked up an affinity for academics from her mother. This intelligence, combined with Aiko's stunning looks and self-reliant attitude has caused her to become quite prideful. It is rare indeed to see this girl lean on others for support, and never will she backed down if challenged on something, even if deep down she knows she is wrong. It is a demon that continues to overtake her time and again, and until she allows her shattered heart to be healed, it is one she will never conquer.

Background: Born to Sadayo and Hideji Kawakami, Aiko had an excellent childhood. Raised by two loving parents, Aiko grew to have a deep love of the world and the people around her. Her warm personality endeared many to her. Her mother being the driven woman she was ensured Aiko was a well rounded girl, making her academically skilled, getting her violin lessons and self defense training. When her mother became pregnant with her little sister it was one of the most exciting moments of her life, adding another wonderful addition to their small family. There is no such thing as the perfect life however, and during childbirth Sadayo passed.

This was devastating for the family of course. Aiko was heartbroken, but still tried to remain upbeat, to help hold their family together. Their father unfortunately simply couldn't handle this loss, turning to heavy drinking, resentment welling up in him as he cast blame on his children for their mothers death. This resentment slowly turned to abuse. First verbal, emotional and finally physical. The sisters were eventually removed from their homes and placed into the foster system. Over the years they were bounced around homes until they fell into the care of a particularly cruel man. Constantly he would berate and beat Aiko for reasons the girl to this day can't explain. Even still she tried her best to remain positive, to be kind. Her spirit was broken when she witnessed her own sister being tormented by the fiend. Enraged, Aiko grabbed a bat he left lying in the house, shattering one of his knees while he was distracted. Taking her sister, she ran as fast as she could, looking for anywhere to find shelter. It wasn't long before the law caught up to her however, and she was charged for assault and kidnapping. She pleaded with the officers, showing them the clear signs of abuse, but they were disregarded. While she avoided juvie, Aiko was separated from her sister and placed on probation.

Sent away, Aiko now finds herself alone and in an unfamiliar area. The only thing that matters to her now is getting her sister back, and ensuring no one is made to suffer like she had.

Other: The only personal possessions Aiko has anymore is her violin her mother gifted her, and a small locket containing a picture of her family that she keeps around her neck at all times.

NAME
Angelina Young.
*Most people just call her Rina for ease.

AGE
17.

YEAR
Second.

SEXUALITY
Pansexual, but leans more towards females.

VIRTUE
Diligence.

SIN
Gluttony.

APPEARANCE
569007569008569009
face claim: bort, from the land of the lustrous.
Angelina possesses a lanky build, with a height of 176 CM or 5’9”. she isn’t the type to venture outdoors or out of classrooms/libraries and due to that, her golden tan complexion has been reduced to a sickly pale version of it. Mixed with that, Angelina is thin like a stick, weighing up to 58 KG or 128 LBS- it almost gives her a fragile look. Though she often wears baggy sweaters or puffy bomber jackets to combat that. Angelina’s face is framed by shoulder length black hair and wears a pair of fox-like dark brown eyes. Other distinguishing features Angelina possesses are full blossom lips, the colour white as a reappearing motif in her wardrobe and three beauty marks: one near the left side of her jaw, another on beneath the right side of her lower lip and the other, almost reflective of the previous, above her upper lip.

Her wardrobe is filled with monochromatic colours and blue. But the most prominent colour is white. she likes wearing sweaters, bomber jackets and dress shirts with a ribbon tied around her collar. she usually wears jeans or dark leggings. Angelina prefers the simple and minimalistic style when it comes to coordinating her outfits. As for footwear, she doesn’t like wearing anything too tall like high heels or wedge heels, preferring shoes like ballet flats or sandals.

THIEF APPEARANCE
Angelina's thief appearance is representative of what she thinks a "hotheaded brute" would be, which is basically the appearance of a Japanese delinquent during the 80s. She dons a long white coat that ends on her knees with cuffed sleeves, a black shirt underneath that's tucked into white high-waisted pants that's tight around her abdomen. Her pants are baggy and are tucked into bandages that are wrapped around her shins, to produce a billowing cloud effect. As a weapon, she possesses a bat that's been spiked with nails. Her hair is wrapped into a tight high ponytail, with a white cloth that's wrapped around her forehead. On the cloth, is her codename that's been messily written out with black ink and brush in Japanese characters.

569013
Her mask is the picture shown above, which is supposed to be depicting the jaws of an oni. The only difference is that the mask is white in colour, with the exception of the gums being bright red.

CODE NAME
Punisher.

PERSONA
The Erinyes is the personification of Angelina's frustrations and anger at the unjust and unfairness that surrounds her. The Erinyes is Angelina's want for retribution and vengeance for those who have wronged not only just her but to other innocents like herself. Additionally, they also present Angelina's nature to be ruthless and her entitlement for giving herself a role as the Punisher for those whom she deems as wrongdoers.

569010
The Erinyes appears as three goddesses with wings that looks like a bat's yet are far more horrid and jagged. Their beautiful faces are marred into an ugly display of anger. Their bodies are covered in writhing snakes, while their hair imitates the snakes. The float above their opponents as though they've come to judge them, with smoke billowing from behind them.

PERSONALITY
On the surface, Angelina can easily be read as skittish with her restless nature and tendency to fidget around, tapping her fingers or feet. This skittishness of hers seems to extend to her social behaviour: filled with uhs, ums and ers, as well as nervous smiles. However, once a conversation comes underway, Angelina will soon start to relax and be far more friendly than expected, there’s a distinct sense of yearning- the need to be validated seems to radiate from her. Yet, despite that, Angelina is competitive. She yearns for the thrill of success, the idea that she can be better than others has always been a power fantasy of hers and has a tendency to compare herself to others, particularly if the other person is far more successful or is deemed to be someone just entirely better than her. She uses that as a motivation to work hard to achieve her own goals and to better herself as a person. She is a diligent hard-worker, sometimes to the point where she forgets that she is human who needs to take breaks too. That's mostly because nothing she ever does is enough nor will be enough to satiate her. Any previous achievements are damned, in comparison to the immortals she views in envy and in awe that lives in old crinkled history books or in great crumbling statues; she is nothing.

Others who are not familiar with her would say that Angelina is far too ambitious for a girl at her age, especially when she's nothing special skill-wise, but the reality is that she is merely a fanciful girl who dreams too big. Often her grand plans are unrealistic, making failure imminent or its presence a familiar one. Most of her crash and burns lead to prolonged burnouts, where she essentially “turns off” for several days, going through the motions of day to day life with a robotic mindset. Though it never lasts too long and before you know it, she’s off again to on a brand new project or is attempting to try something new. Angelina likes to think she’s adventurous like that. That she’s got some killer adventure-lust waiting to be fulfilled.

Angelina would like to think she has an objective view of herself because she's very aware and self-conscious of her own nervous habits and behaviours, but that can’t be farther than the truth. At times her perceived self-awareness makes things less... real for her. This can at times make her more egocentric and, as a result, treats others and the world around her more like a video game than reality. It waters down her empathy, anything that is real looks like an imitation that's seen through the familiar lens of virtual reality, and that makes her grit her teeth while curling her hands into fists because she wants to be empathetic, she wants to understand. If not, how will she ever build genuine networks around and get anywhere? When agitated, Angelina will let out eighties phrases mixed with expletives and will have a want for some sort of physical release, whether it be violence or aggressively carving out pieces of wood into small statuettes.

Angelina is not without faults, she is impulsive and restless by nature. While she tries to be logical and she might succeed in rationalising her emotions, Angelina is hasty when it comes to action. She can't stand being left to do absolutely nothing, she’ll feel antsy at the thought of precious time being wasted away when she could be doing something that'll make her closer to her goals. It's the main reason why she pulls herself into action, often attempting to do things without the consultation of others. Her slight inferiority complex also spurs her to, at times, attempt to work alone, even though she knows asking for help from others is far more beneficial. In the face of tragedy and sadness, Angelina can easily shut off her emotions and compartmentalised them into a box. But when it comes to anger and embarrassment, Angelina is quick to react- in a flash, blood will rush to her face as she manages to get her tongue-tied. Despite this, she doesn't really consider herself to be easily flustered and tends to use her conversational fillers to slow the conversation down so she'll be able to think of what she wants to say next.

However, at her core, Angelina is a diligent and determined girl who attempts to place her fantasies into reality.

BACKGROUND
Angelina was a child conceived out of wedlock. So, maybe it wasn’t so much of a surprise to see a shotgun wedding crash and burn. But it’s not like her parents didn’t try to make it work. It did work for a decade, her parents wanted it to work so Angelina could have a ‘normal’ childhood, especially her mother. But with the clashing personality of her conservative mother and easy-going father, the relationship broke from years of build up resentment and a lack of good communication. When passive-aggressive comments started to escalate to heated arguments, the moment when Hotaru couldn’t get her anger under control and almost hit her own husband with a ceramic vase had been the realisation for her to end this marriage.

The divorce went swiftly and without much argument, Angelina was kept under the care of her mother who fled back to her motherland, leaving her father and their former lives to stay in America. At the age of seven, Angelina was separated from both of her parents as the rest of her formative years were mostly spent with her grandmother in Japan. Her mother buried herself in her work, often finding herself to be flying to different countries due to her job. That didn’t mean she was negligent in her care for her daughter. Often, they’d have scheduled video calls when they can. And when Hotaru found herself time to breath and bask in the sights of Tokyo, she made sure to spend most of her attention and time for Angelina.

Angelina didn’t get to see her father again until she was ten years old when he contacted Hotaru for letting him spend at least the summer with Angelina. Her mother was reluctant at first, but after much badgering and begging, Angelina managed to convince her that America was not going to make her forget her own cultural roots and the fact that this might be a great help with her own skills in English. So, off she went to visit her father whom she only had hazy but warm memories of. During the summer, her father, Lauren, would teach her English, eighties slang, American culture, they’d go do other activities that her mother never could bring her to do like fishing or playing video games and he taught her about computers, even managed to get her to help him around his electronics shop. This became a yearly thing that Angelina enjoyed greatly until she was twelve and she came home to meet death in the form of her sleeping grandmother.

There was horrifying guilt that came to gnaw on her bones that day, that somehow this was her fault for not being there when her grandmother died. But she easily rationalised it in her mind that it wasn’t her fault because how could she stop the inevitability of death when she barely remembered the basics of first aid? She was just a powerless little girl who wanted to spend time with her father she barely saw, who could possibly fault her for that? This was just… another game over in life, it just left a bad taste in her. That’s all.

So, she became her mother’s travelling companion. Transferring from schools to schools over five different countries in a matter of two years because of her mother’s work. While there was a much more stable option, which was to stay in Tokyo under the care of her mother’s close and good friend, Angelina adamantly disagreed. She didn’t want to stay there, she didn’t want to remember.

At the age of fourteen, she and her mother got into a car crash in the highway- a failed and hurried attempt to get to the airport on time, the roads were wet from the heavy rain had sent them to crash with a van Hotaru didn’t manage to see on time. When Angelina first came to, she saw death again in the paleness of her mother’s face and blank eyes. Everything had hurt, especially her head. Her vision was hazy and blurry at best, she can smell sharpness of leaked gasoline mixed with rainwater and she was in too much pain to move or get out. At that moment, Angelina felt like if she closed her eyes she would meet her own game over and that terrified her more than anything. The terror is soon mixed with a wave of almighty anger when she realised death was going to take her by force, even when she had so many things she wanted to do, so many more moments she wanted to spend with her mother, her father, her grandmother.

When she woke up in the hospital, Angelina was diagnosed with retrograde amnesia- having forgotten a majority of her memories before the car crash. Of course, she remembered the damned car crash vividly, far too vividly for her liking. After the traumatic event, Angelina grew a phobia for not only death but the idea of being forgotten as a whole. She couldn’t stand the fact that she became a blank slate, that she couldn’t remember the faces of anyone who was dear to her, with the exception of her lovely mother, of course. Her face, at times, haunts her dreams, making her remember the sound of screeching tires and the smell of leaked gasoline diluted by the rainwater.

Immortality wasn’t an option. So, she took the next best thing which was immortality through legacies, through making a mark in history. Angelina became obsessed with the idea of making history, to let her name echo in the minds of the next generations to come. As a result, she becomes far more reclusive than she used to. The personality of a happy-go-lucky and cheerful girl was gone and replaced by the same determined and persistent mentality that dominated her own mother’s mind, sprinkled with newfound insecurities and habits that have engraved itself into Angelina from the accident.

Angelina stayed with her father in America for a year before returning back to Tokyo to live under the care of her late mother’s close friend. The closeness they’ve had before was gone and Lauren managed to find a new family to be taken into while Angelina became obsessed over trying to find ways to be remembered by humanity. She found a chance in the STEM industry, thinking that she could start her own legacy by burying herself in computers and codes-- her interest was mainly centred in creating complex artificial intelligence, but she only got as far as basic chatbot and transferring that into a moving robot. She applied in robotics and coding competitions and soon managed to open up to others with similar interest. Each time, whenever there was a competition, she would sign up, hoping to win and make a name of herself but she was constantly at a disadvantage: she didn't know the right people, she was a gaijin, she was female, she was deemed to be too ambitious for her own good but the worst of all was the truth that she just mediocre.

Angelina had never won, but what truly stopped her from competing altogether was when she found out that her colleagues had been sabotaging her behind her back. When Angelina found out, she was shocked and humiliated. They insulted her and her work, told her their support were just sweet lies to inflate her own ego while she excitedly scurried off to work on something that would inevitably fail. As a result, Angelina flew into a rage and attacked him, breaking his hand in the process. She was banned from the competition and, effectively, any other similar competition as her name became infamous as a hotheaded brute and a fraud within the community. Angelina was heartbroken and angry, she didn't feel breaking one of the sabotagers hands was enough for retribution, she felt they deserved something worse. All of her time spent in dedication to her work had gone to waste, the warm memories had turned sour and she wanted all of them to turn to ruin. But instead, Angelina put her feelings into a box. She was lucky enough that the person she injured didn't want press charges due to pride.

In the end, Angelina stopped participating in these things in public and became far more invested in her own projects, all while living a quiet school life. Her dreams of burning herself in pages of history became brighter than ever, both fueled by her own determination and spite, though she opted to make a breakthrough first before making a name for herself.

face claim: bort, from the land of the lustrous.
