- Hi!
I'm Stardust and I'm a they/them from the northeastern United States. I'm neither new to Roleplaying nor the Nation, but I decided to start again with a new account after being inactive on my old one. I'm twenty-five years old and I've been Roleplaying for about fourteen years now through a variety of formats. I'm mostly looking for forum-based Roleplays, but I'm also open to Discord and/or PMs as well. Aside from Roleplaying, I have a myriad of interests ranging from competing in fighting games to video essays to discovering new music. I'm also currently working part-time at a fulfillment center and am a full-time student about to get their Associate's Degree in the spring. For now, though, I'm still on winter break and I am itching to write!

I'm fairly available, especially on Mondays and Wednesdays, but that will be a different story come late January. Aside from work and therapy, though, I should be relatively active. I'll probably check the forums throughout the day and respond whenever I can, at least where OOC is concerned. You can usually expect my hours of activity to be from anywhere between 10 AM to 12 AM EST.

I love talking and plotting out of character. I would prefer to be friends with someone first and Roleplaying partners with them second, so if this sounds uncomfortable to you, then I'd suggest passing on me. I'd like to have a writing partner that I could talk to about unrelated topics, including the possibility of another Roleplay should we get bored with our initial idea and want to swap, or the need to take hiatuses for any reason at all. When it comes to OOC chatter related to the Roleplay itself, I love making playlists, mood boards, discussing what-ifs, and even occasionally writing one-shot fanfictions! In terms of dropping Roleplays, I should note that I'm 100% ghost friendly and will not hold it against you if you ghost me, even if you decide later down the line that you'd like to write with me, nor will I seek you out if you do ghost me.

Characters are and always will be my focus. I only write ensemble casts with the possibility of a single main character and this is not negotiable. I get bored with only one character and I usually like to shoot for diversity in my casts. That said, I do not care how many character(s) my partner has. In terms of character aesthetics, I prefer artistic or anime-styled faceclaims, but I'll likely use whatever fits the Roleplay most. I'm not super comfortable with using real people to portray my OCs, so worst case scenario would be getting a written description.

I'm open to writing "dark topics" and, in fact, welcome them. That said, this is not permission for someone to come at me with walking angstfests who have never known a moment of peace in their lives. I also will not write beastality, rape, incest, pedophilia, and graphic animal abuse. NSFW is likewise off the table, but we can discuss violence. I do not write with Mary/Gary Stus and will also drop partners that partake in metagaming, godmodding, and/or forced romance. I'm OK with having bigoted characters in our stories, but if I sniff even a whiff of that applying to you as a writer, then I'm dropping you yesterday. Please let me know your limits and triggers during our plotting phase!

I'm part of the community and most of the characters I write are as well. If this makes you uncomfortable at all, then please pass on writing with me. Having representation in my writing is extremely important to me and this is not a point that I'm flexible on. That said, I also play characters not in the community, but I'm not interested in writing with someone who does not respect the characters that are.

Romance is fun, but it is never my primary focus. I much prefer character development and plot though I'm never against romance. I'm open to writing heterosexual, homosexual, and polyromantic relationships as long as there's natural chemistry or it's pre-planned. I also love writing platonic relationships, rivalries, and family dynamics if that's more your speed too. To me, the perfect Roleplay has all kinds of dynamics. I should also note that while I respect people who have specific tastes when it comes to writing romance, I usually like a little more flexibility, so I'd prefer to not solely focus on one specific pairing (MxF, FxF, MxM, NBxM, NBxF, NBxNB, etc) and, instead, have a variety of options.

I'm mostly looking for AUs, side events, or rewrites here. This can range from role swaps to gender swaps to "What-Ifs" to entirely new adventures, either before, during, or after the main story. I'm also open to rewriting certain stories, with inclusion of new characters or new material. I'm not really interested in modern or high school AUs, so I'd rather avoid those. I also love angst, especially hurt/comfort and sickfics, but if I'm to write something like that, then I'll definitely need to balance it. Balance is key, after all!

I'm a lazy writer. I prefer to write less than two paragraphs per post and will likely write even less if we're on Discord or in a dialogue heavy scene. I usually write in third person perspective, past tense, with A- grammar. I 100% prefer quantity over quality. My writing can also be pretty robotic at times and I'm still learning how to write descriptively, so please bear with me on that.

Not to be dramatic, but I'd rather let the apocalypse come before I write another character sheet. I hate them. I will provide you with short ones including character names, appearances, and a short description, but I'd rather leave it at that. - Preferably twenty-one or older, but I'm open to writing with younger folks within reason. In the case that I do write with younger folks, please note that I'm only comfortable writing on the forums themselves. Aside from that, I have no requirement for my partner: I'm fine with someone of any gender identity, sexuality, timezone, etc. All I ask for my partner, really, is patience, the willingness to contribute, and an openness to OOC interaction. Pretty please also avoid responding to my DMs by literally regurgitating everything that I've already wrote โ that gets really tiring after a while.
