Also I think I know how to start this off but it is up for discussion.
Each of them got in contact online and decided to team up and meet in person at their first investigation together? I'm thinking that they only know each other by text and some footage that they sent. But other than that they might have not seen how they look like in person (especially if they didn't send any footage or document of themselves.)
How are they going to know who's who? Well, they could say that they are wearing a certain color of clothes or meet up in front of the place. The boss could be the one holding the meeting and the one reserving the haunted location for their first investigation together.
