The World of Eona
The Region of Boreas
A region primarily composed of vast plains with a mountain range toward the north; Earth and Air Elementals favor Boreas for its steady environment. Though the Council that rules over Boreas is corrupted by greed and power, the citizens are relatively happy and detached from the political games that occur in the Council.
Auren
Auren is the westernmost establishment in Boreas. A mining town, its inhabitants are hardworking metal workers and their families, creating a close-knit community. Auren often finds business through merchants that travel to and from Firma.
Firma
Firma is a trading-based port area, which gets business from Auren and Gladus. A surprisingly lively town, the people of Firma are open and kind, its location key for wanderers to catch a break for a few days.
Nevia
At the cold north, Nevia is highly isolated from the rest of the world. The freezing temperatures and snowfall prevents much of Boreas’s population from ever visiting. Ergo, the people who live in Nevia often chose that lifestyle by choice, wishing to have minimal contact with the others.
Nylai
As Boreas’s official port, Nylai is a busy, bustling town, full of many different kinds of people. The people here are more formal than Firma, focused on business and profit rather than connections. The slums of Nylai are home to lots of crime and there are rumors of a mafia operating underground.
Capital: Skiyar
The capital of Boreas is Skiyar, which lies in the center of the mountain range, surrounded on all sides. The architecture is mainly leftover from the Golden Age of Eona with a Grecian feel. The Celaon Temple lies at the center of the city and is home to the Council which rules over Boreas. The people who live in Skiyar are mostly dignitaries and people with sizable power and/or wealth.
The Region of Vossia
Ruled by a kind and fair monarchy, Vossia is perhaps the most artistic and fluid of the four regions. Fire and Water Elementals are the majority of the population of the island-based environment. Vossia is also home to the Octal Library, which holds much of the wisdom left over from the Golden Age of Eona.
Capital: Cinna
Home to the King and Queen of Vossia, Cinna is the center of the arts in the region. In addition to the Octal Library, there are many art galleries, opera houses, and theatres scattered around the city. Many find the place a haven of sorts where one’s creativity and spirit can be free.
Ethor
A tropical resort takes up most of Ethor, making it a favorite for tourists and vacationers. The waters are a crystal blue and the sands are pure white with a generally temperate climate all year round.
Gladus
As the preferred means of trade between the far western half of Eona, Gladus is a growing trade town at the edge of the forest. Many of its resources come straight from the earth itself and the people do their best to live in peace with nature.
Mithros
Mithros is the best ship-making town in Eona, known for using the finest materials in the craft. This area is a hub for shipping and distribution within the region. It’s cove location also allows its inhabitants to derive wealth from the sea.
The Region of Athion
Governed by the military, Athion is a highly advanced society of mainly Flora and Metal Elementals, filled with utilitarian barracks and training facilities. The entire region is connected by an underground transit system that allows soldiers and supplies to move quickly between cities. Every citizen is part of the highly-oiled machine, doing their duty to serve a greater purpose.
Arcon
Made up of a collection of islands to the northwest of Athion, Arcon is a training-based area devoted to producing the most skilled elite of the military. It is considered the highest honor to be commissioned at this base.
Eria
As the central hub of the transit system, most people here are mechanics and engineers. Regular inspections are held to ensure optimal procedure throughout Athion's underground. People rumor that there is something going on in Eria that the military doesn't want anyone else to know about.
Fernweh
The one and only port of Athion, the city is clean cut and always busy loading and unloading supplies. Out of the whole region, Fernweh is perhaps the least militant and has an air of purpose. It is also a favorite location for officers to take a quick break from work.
Capital: Oreve
Surrounded by sky-high concrete walls, many describe Oreve as the Mountain of War. It is home to most of Athion's citizens and the General and his Cabinet. There are no ways on the surface to enter or exit the city - everyone must use the underground for protection. All the citizens live in barracks and serve the military in its plans.
Rivus
At the far north of Athion, Rivus is a highly fortified government complex used to create and test weaponry and other technology. Only high-clearance officials may enter and exit the area; all others remain inside the compound their whole lives, sworn to secrecy.
The Region of Dethros
The region of Dethros is a vast, barren desert that stretches as far as the eye can see. Whispers of Duplicity's domain are full of fear; they say that all the Fauna and Lightning Elementals who live in Boltin are slaves, starving pawns in a mastermind's game. Only the incredibly brave or foolish dare to enter the hollow land that is called Dethros.
Capital: Boltin
The lair of Duplicity herself is protected from the naked eye. It stands in an undisclosed location in the desert, cloaked by mirages. Little is known about the inner workings of the capital as few have left Boltin and lived.
Burna
Burna is a small community on the edge of the desert, a small oasis for lost souls. Again, its exact location is unknown, but it is hailed as the safe haven of Dethros. Duplicity sends scouts to search for Burna every day, hoping to crush the resistance, but all reports come back empty.
