Personality: Originally a shut in that made money from home Loloth isn't exactly the most social person, not because she is rude or mean, but because she tends to get caught up in thoughts. She could have entire conversations with herself in her head and come out with only a few words. She is also rather timid around others, though this isn't based on real life, but rather from heteromoph hunters and their damned pking ways. That dark period has truly scared her and she has become rather cautious about players or anything she sees as stronger than herself. Still once she gets used to a person or place she is rather lazy and laid back content to just nap and eat all day if possible. She does however have an intrest in forging things both in game and real life, but well the world didn't allow many outside hobbies. She also has slightly poor impulse control, often buying things because she thought at the time they would be cool looking or allow her to make awesome entrances.

Guild: none solo player

Rundown of build: Loloth is a very odd build most of her skills honestly aren't for fighting and sure as hell not optimized for PVP. Her main tactic is ambush hunting and setting traps. This mostly takes the form of using her threads to try to bind targets then cutting them apart either via inflicting her spells on targets or just making the threads sharp. When not able to retreat she fights more defensively again mostly relying on her threads this time creating an ever changing field of razor wire to eviscerate foes before they get to her. In close combat she uses her scythe though even it is not really build for a straight up fight. That being said she also loves hit and run tactics allowing debuffs and damage over time spells to do the work for her. This is of course all only when fighting those equal or nearly equal and when she is against lesser foes she is more bold and brash often trying to look as he puts it awesome like an anime hero during them.

Now that's a physical powerhouse.

I believe the guild he belongs to is not mentioned anywhere. Furthermore: Magic Resistance and magic effect resistance are quite generalist. What sort of resistance? The type Shaltear has, where it is based on the strength of the caster? Or a more specific resistance such as arcane? (Keep in mind there are 4 or 5 types of magic in Overlord).

What specific magical effects is he resistant to? Are you referring to curses, debuffs, stat afflictions and similar? Do they include/exclude elemental damage?
Mirgris Mirgris Are you still interested? :ghostv:

Personality:
The clatter of a tavern door opening.
The sharp click of boots upon a wooden floor.
The crisp air of the night rushing in and drawing attention to the dark silhouette in the doorway.

Arcturus Avenza, as a character, is played somewhere between edgy and eccentric. The young man pulling his strings likes to portray an air of mystery and cordiality, undercut by a sharp sense of danger beneath the surface. It's a roleplaying habit instilled from years of stalking the nine worlds of Yggdrasil, immersing himself in the fantasy and in hunting the many monsters that lurk within. However every now and then, for various reasons, the deadly persona of the hunter melds with the player behind the curtain.

While Arcturus' cordial tendencies take after his creator, Jace Rose doesn't have nearly as much of an edge to him. He's a friendly, outgoing sort at heart. The type of person who's never met a stranger. He'll readily engage with others, typically approaching just about anyone with a bright and playful attitude. However Jace is never quite fully open with most people. He prefers to keep certain things close to his chest, be they personal secrets or just details he thinks would be fun to keep to himself. It's more entertaining for him that way, seeing what opinions others form while letting them try to figure him out for themselves.

In game Arcturus was known to be unusually patient and persistent in his goals. It was not uncommon for him to track a mark halfway across Yggdrasil before finally catching up, finding enjoyment in the pursuit where others might've gotten bored. This made him notoriously difficult to escape from, leading to his reputation as a diligent and relentless hunter. However such focus is not a universal trait of his. Behind those piercing, scarlet eyes is mind of a young man who tends to become fixated upon subjects of his fancy. Not only upon his marks in PvE and PvP but also lore, hidden secrets, and any number of other things that might intrigue him. At the same time, however, Jace is reluctant to pay much mind to things which fall outside his immediate interests. He doesn't like to be distracted from the objects of his attention, and can become a monstrously lazy procrastinator when he doesn't get his way. Only pride and a sense of responsibility keep him on track in such cases, and he's no stranger to a begrudging late night crunch.

Guild:
Arcturus was in and out of smaller guilds all throughout Yggdrasil's life. He'd tried joining the larger guilds a few times, even having been invited to join Harvest at one point, but didn't really take to any of them. Too much commitment. Arcturus preferred to wander as a solo player, sometimes lending his aid to smaller guilds or parties in need. He liked to think of himself as playing a sort of Van Hellsing type figure. An erudite professional in the field of monster slaying, offering his deadly expertise where needed and hunting down those evil creatures who would harm the innocent.

Rundown of build:
Arcturus is a physical, melee oriented DPS build. Building primarily from the "Slayer" base class, much of his setup prioritizes single target DPS, using specialized monster hunting skills to find and relentlessly press his targets. He gains benefits from striking and killing his chosen mark as well, allowing him to snowball his offensive momentum so long as he keeps up the attack. Overall his build rewards aggressive play and a persistent mindset, hunting down and putting pressure on priority targets.

Core to the Slayer class is the "Slayer's Mark," an important aspect of Arcturus' build, which allows him to designate a particular target as his mark. He's set up to gain numerous advantages against his chosen quarry, further emphasizing his single target DPS focus. This also offers out of combat utility, allowing him to track a marked adversary across long distances if they can't throw him off their trail. Something easier said than done.

Arcturus has also made significant investment into a more direct martial specialization. His build is set up to thrive in the use of swords, gaining bonuses when equipped with them that serve to enhance his build's overall DPS. He's even taken crafting oriented classes, allowing him to design and maintain swords to his own specifications for even greater benefit. Additionally, his classes in mastering swords have synergy with his classes in smithing them, further feeding back into his core focus.

Arcturus has actually never been much of a fan of most MMO combat, with Yggdrasil having been the only MMO to really draw him in. He typically prefers FPS games and difficult action RPGs instead, a fact that has influenced both his build and his playstyle. A high focus on agility over defense allows him to play the way he prefers, emphasizing positioning and technical skill over worrying about aggro or juggling hotkeys. His Slayer classes also offer a lot of detection, identification, and tracking skills. Combined with his maxed special stat, this helps him maintain a high level of situational awareness which might otherwise be much more limited by in game mechanics.

Hunter's Intuition: If under observation for at least ten seconds, the user becomes aware they're being watched. Attempts to find the observer or their means of observation are more effective as long as observation persists, as well as up to thirty seconds after observation ceases. The length of time before this ability triggers can be extended up to a minute by anti-information magic.

Notable Active Skills:
Slayer's Mark:
Signature skill of the Slayer class line. The user designates a target as their prey, marking them with a personal insignia of the slayer's own design. This mark lasts until either the target or the slayer dies, or until it is re-placed upon a new target. The user's ability to detect and keep contact with the marked target is greatly increased. Additionally there are a number of skills within the Slayer class line which are triggered by Slayer's Mark.
Notable Skills Triggered By Slayer's Mark:
  • Giant Slayer: Increased critical chance against larger targets marked with Slayer's Mark.

  • Hunter of Dreams: Attacks partially bypass physical resistance/immunity and armor against targets marked with Slayer's Mark. The bypass against physical resistance/immunity is greater than the bypass against armor.

  • Hunter of Thorns: Increases attack speed if a target marked with Slayer's Mark is bleeding within five meters of the user. This buff stacks up to five times.

  • Thrill of The Hunt: Hits made in rapid succession against targets marked with Slayer's Mark provide a stacking increase to damage for as long as attacking persists. Consecutive hits also reduce the remaining cooldown time of active skills by a small percentage.

  • Thrill of The Kill: Killing a target marked with Slayer's Mark significantly increases damage output and replenishes all active skill cooldowns (except super tier skills.) This damage buff stacks up to five times and lasts for one hour.

  • Raven's Mark: Attempts to track a target marked with Slayer's Mark are almost guaranteed to succeed, so long as the mark leaves any trace which can be detected by the user's senses. This skill also allows the user to identify when their mark is using anti-information magic if the effects occur within line of sight.

Bonded Weapon: The user establishes a bond with a weapon of their choice, familiarizing themselves with it to the point that it becomes an extension of their own will. This increases the wielder's proficiency with that weapon by an additional level and grants immunity to being disarmed of it. This skill has a cooldown of one hour, and only one weapon can be bonded at a time.

Vengeful Mark: When damaged by an enemy, the user may respond by placing an additional Slayer's Mark upon them. This mark cannot be replaced until either one day has passed or the target has been killed.

Scarlet Banquet: Once per day, instead of placing a Slayer's Mark upon a single target, the user may instead mark up to five.

Mistborne: A buff which greatly increases movement speed and evasion for forty-five seconds. The effect is such that the user seems to appear and disappear at will, vanishing into mist when dodging or moving at high speed. With this ability it's possible to pass clean through obstructions that have small openings.

Regal Assault: Spring forward with an overwhelming flurry of rapid strikes, culminating in a powerful thrust at the end. (Max Sword Proficiency - This skill may be cancelled into a counter at any point, after which it may immediately resume.)

Heartseeker: A powerful and extremely precise thrust aimed directly at the target's heart. If the heart is pierced, it confers a guaranteed critical hit. This skill is effective even against beings whose hearts no longer beat, incorporeal beings that once had hearts, and constructs with a physical power source analogous to a heart. Targets immune to critical hits still take additional damage, albiet greatly reduced. (Bonded Weapon - If the heart is pierced, it instantly kills the target. If the target is immune to instant death, they are instead stunned.)

Hallowed Eve Oath ~ Bloodmoon Festival: A Super-Tier equivalent skill. Recite an oath in celebration of the harvest season and in commitment to see The Hunt to its end. For three hours every eligible target within twenty meters of the user will have a Slayer's Mark placed upon them. This mark is temporary, only lasting until the conclusion of the festival. All skills triggered by Slayer's Mark are greatly increased in effectiveness and have their caps doubled.
In the New World, this skill can only be triggered at night, and will cause a bloodmoon for its duration.

Noteworthy items:
Scarlet Rose: A divine class weapon forged by Arcturus himself. It takes the form of an elegant rapier with a long, slender blade and an elaborate, swept guard hilt. While the hilt appears to be made from a polished, silvery metal, in truth Scarlet Rose is composed entirely of scarletite. This is reflected in its partially translucent blade, which is a deeply vibrant red in color. The weapon is characterized by very swift handling and high physical damage output, as well as several powerful traits that further improve its performance.
(Bonded Weapon - Sword Proficiency exceeds maximum.)
In the New World, the hilt has taken on a rosy sheen, betraying the true material used to craft it.

  • Vorpal (Divine): Scarlet Rose partially bypasses physical resistance/immunity and armor. The bypass against armor is greater than the bypass against physical resistance/immunity. If the quality of the target's armor is lower than legendary class, Scarlet Rose will instead completely ignore it.
  • Bleed V
  • Lacerating V: Critical hits inflict greatly increased bleeding that lasts for longer.
  • Lethality V: Damage from critical hits is greatly increased.

Rose Slayer's Coat: A sturdy, refined long coat in modern/industrial style, dyed a sinister off black. It serves as legendary class light armor in spite of its civilian appearance, providing a strong defense without restricting the wearer's movement. Most notably it boasts extensive protection against environmental effects, to the point that a wearer with a high resistance stat can traverse most any hostile environment with little danger.

Refined Swordsman's Gloves: A pair of black dress gloves that fit snugly on the hand. These sophisticated implements of gentleman's wear bestow even novice swordsmen with a certain panache, reducing the cooldown and increasing the efficacy of counter skills.

Dashing Boots: A resilient pair of polished black boots with a slightly elevated heel. Deceptively elegant in appearance, they provide a buff to movement speed and evasion, enabling the savvy wearer to dash about on swift feet.

White Raven Cap: A finely made tricorn cap in black, adorned with the white feather of a rare bird. Boosts the wearer's detection and investigation abilities. Also sports a high, albeit somewhat vestigial for Arcturus' build, buff to charisma.
In the New World, the charisma buff of the cap is divided across Arcturus' whole outfit, every piece of which is perfectly tailored and of at least relic quality. In other words, he no longer suffers a massive drop in charisma just from taking his hat off.

Oathring of The Rose Briar: A divine class ring made from scarletite. The ring itself normally has the appearance of a polished, silvery metal, its shape resembling a tight double-helix of thorny vines wound around the finger. However when the wearer is brought below twenty percent HP, it will begin to pulse a vibrant red in time with their heartbeat.

If the wearer would be killed while any entity within twenty meters is marked by a Slayer's Mark, the oathring's scarlet pulse will become a steady shimmer, and they instead gain temporary hitpoints equal to twenty percent of their max HP. However they are also afflicted with a "dying" status effect which will slowly drain those hitpoints over the course of twenty minutes.

If the wearer kills a target marked by Slayer's Mark while in this state, they are cured of the "dying" debuff and regain health equal to their remaining temporary hitpoints. The ring's effect has a cooldown of one hour.
In the New World, this ring has taken on a rosy sheen, betraying the true material used to craft it.

Scarlet Court's Romance: A consumable world item discovered by Arcturus deep in the forests of Álfheim, tucked away within a hidden branch of a secret dungeon. An everlasting rose that will never wilt, it blooms with petals of living crystal. These brittle, sanguine petals are extremely sharp at their edge, to the point that they will readily break the skin of a character level sixty or below. Their color only grows more vibrant when marred with blood.

Arcturus is somewhat infatuated with this item, and as a result has never actually made use of it. Although he’s fairly confident it’s not the only one of its kind, being a consumable, he’s never been able to find another. Even the hidden briar grove within which he first came upon the rose eluded him upon his attempts to return. Still, tentative experimentation has revealed its potential as a world class crafting material, and Arcturus has long planned to incorporate this unique item into a signature weapon.

He just… never got around to it.

He began playing YGGDRASIL as another time-waster, and slowly grew attached to his absurdly basic character. Being a man of decidedly vanilla tastes, he just went with whatever he considered 'cool' and useful, creating his heavily sword-oriented blacksmith build over the course of several years. Of course, the game decided to shut down the moment he completed it.

Still, Hanji accepts things as they come. He is too low-energy to get truly mad about anything, nor does he form particularly strong attachments. He lets the wind carry him, so to speak. Almost like a sheet of paper, or a ghost of some kind. Ultimately, he's just a blacksmith.

    Guild: Harvest

Rundown of build: Hanji's build is a monster of physical damage-dealing. In terms of combat, it is specialised in one thing and one thing only; swords. With an appropriate blade in his hand, Hanji is capable of cutting through health-bars, armour, spells and perhaps even God himself. That is to say, he can easily defeat most things that can be stabbed with a sword (or multiple). His greatest weakness is a lack of utility. Though this can be somewhat mitigated with enchanted items, he has no in-born way of combatting mental effects, debuffs or crowd control. He's also completely incapable of anything like information gathering.

On the other hand, his myriad of enchanted swords—of which he can use dozens at a time—are all endowed with debilitating and handy effects. Disabling spellcraft, targeting elemental weaknesses or bypassing resistances; enough to control a wide range of battlefields.

Passives: Disarmed Immunity, Sword Damage V, Smithing Success IV, Enchanting Enhancement IV, Weaponsmithing Enhancement III

    Notable Magic/Active Skills:
    • Strike Projection - Any strikes made by Adonai with a sword are accompanied by a 'projection' of light, resembling a crescent-shaped laser beam. These projections deal 75% of the weapon's true damage, and their size and reach can be manipulated by the user.
    • Array of Blades - In the middle of combat, Adonai can switch between up to 12 pre-selected weapons instead of having to disengage. The array can be changed every two hours. Additionally, any weapons equipped by Adonai are automatically considered 'magical' regardless of their quality, thus bypassing non-magical weapon immunity.
    • Flawless Recreation - Adonai is capable of flawlessly replicating any weapon crafted by a smith of lower or equal ability. This also applies to any enchantments placed upon said weapon.
    • Obliterate Spellcraft - Allows the user to slash through the fabric of magecraft itself, dispelling any 8th Tier magic or lower. This works on offensive, illusion and barrier-type spells, not affecting buffs, debuffs or passive abilities. Only one spell may be obliterated by the skill at a time. May be used thrice every six hours.
    • Ignore Invincible - Imbues a strike with such precision that it ignores physical defense, evasion skills and Invincibility. This skill may only be activated three times every twelve hours.
    • Grand Caliburn - Channels the user's strength into a massive strike. In the hands of Adonai, it becomes an enormous sword of fire which acts as a missile, exploding into a large cloud of orange energy upon impact. Using this skill heavily damages a weapon's durability.
    • Tragedy of Camlann - A skill equivalent to Super Tier magecraft. The user manifests a burning field littered by fallen soldiers at their location, granting them a massive boost to all physical stats. The field is treated as difficult terrain by enemies, and foes inside it also take continuous fire damage. Should the user be killed while this skill is active, their immediate killer is struck by an Instant Death curse. Tragedy of Camlann lasts two minutes and stretches over a fairly vast distance.
    Noteworthy items:
    • Calamity Durendal - One-handed, claymore-like sword forged out of Star Silver. Calamity Durendal is a powerful weapon with infinite durability and the ability to bypass Resistances below III. In the New World, it is capable of cutting through an entire boulder without any effort being exerted.
    • Clarent of Crimson Rivers - Scarletite greatsword, crafted to partially resemble an executioner's sword and partially a knighting sword. Its dull, crimson blade sits on a golden hilt. The sword absorbs the life-energy of the enemies it hits, which can be used to release a powerful tendril of negative energy.
    • 37 Grass Cutters - Large collection of 37 japanese-style swords, meant to be used for stocking Array of Blades and Ring of Bladestorm. Each sword is enchanted with a different type of elemental damage or debuff (such as paralysis).
    • Ring of Bladestorm - A ring which 'animates' up to six separate weapons, making them levitate around the wearer. These weapons attack in tandem with the wearer, but only deal their base damage without considering stats and bonuses.
    • Ring of Weaponsmithing - When equipped, the ring ensures that any weapon crafting attempt made by the wearer cannot result in failure. Can only activate four times a day.
    • Sure Hit Nail Polish - A vial of dark nail polish. When applied, the wearer's attack miss chance is greatly decreased.
    • Girl in a Box - An ornate, metal box which resembles a lacquered biscuit tin. When opened, it summons Lycoris to the user's current location.

Personality:

In real life Ryker was quite calm and non-confrontational. He often let others trample over him and not retort against any accusations or mistreatment. He lived a quiet life with a normal office job, spending most of his free time in Yggdrasil.

In-Game Ryker was quite the opposite. He was very outgoing and loved talking with players. Ryker also never let anyone anger him unpunished. A bit of banter wasn’t a problem but as soon as he felt wronged even slightly, Ryker would retaliate in some way. Be that camping them, humiliating them, or stealing from them, he would get revenge.

He also loved tormenting NPCs by pretending to be a good and righteous paladin willing to help them, only to then betray them at the last second. He especially targeted the religious order, infiltrating them quite deeply before stealing some of their items and ruining as much as he could.

Above all, Ryker hates arrogance. He would mercilessly attack and break arrogant people both in-game and spiritually. He would harrass them, spout all kinds of insults at them and bait them into attacking him. Then he would take his sweet time slowly killing them and letting them realise they couldn’t do anything about it. Once he deemed a target sufficiently broken, he would usually leave them alone.

Guild:

Unholy Defence Pact

Rundown of build:

Ryker loves to annoy his enemies to death. He taunts them and baits them into the range of his area of effect spells and debilitating and damaging auras. Then he outlasts them by being a tank that can heal himself, as well as having a massive defense. He also constantly hurls insults at them to cause even more disruption and rage.

Ryker is very defensive and mostly waits until his enemies die.

Passives:

Changing the switchable equipment is only possible out of combat and has a cooldown of one hour

Passives:

True Blood Frenzy: all attack and speed go up the more blood you are covered in or have absorbed. No effect on your mind. Max of +200%

Blood dominion: Unless the opponent has special skills/abilities, all blood and blood magic will automatically fall under Rykers control

Extreme weakness to silver or other vampire weaknesses

Command lesser Vampires: All Vampires under his level can be freely commanded. Resistant vampires feel a deep admiration, fear, and desire to follow him from him

Unkillable body: Take only up to 10% health damage every 10 seconds

Unbreakable equipment: Equipment can’t break but will only have 50% power at 1% durability

Two-Faced equipment: All equipment can be freely switched with another of its type.
The switched equipment needs to be registered beforehand. There is only one “swich” slot for each type of equipment.
Changing the switchable equipment is only possible out of combat and has a cooldown of one hour
(Basically, he has an additional equipment slot for each equipment and can switch between the two freely)

Righteous pretender: Negative Karma penalties for spells, skills, and heals don't apply. You can be healed by divine heals and other positive heals

Biased judgement: Reduced effect of all interruptions and counters such as staggers, time stop, counter, freeze, and petrification

Corrupted law: Reduce all resistances of opponents and bypasses immunities slightly. Death and mind control immunities are not affected

For this one I am unaware if Blood Drinker is a divine caster class or not. But considering Peroroncino was very keen on "perfect builds", him adding 5-10 levels of Arcane to a cleric build seems unlikely. If it is a cleric type class, you would likely not be able to access it as an Arcane caster. Everything else is fine. If you want to create an alternative that is like Blood Drinker but Arcane in nature, that is also fine.

Mriggan Overlord Sheet.png

Appearance: A 6 Armed, Bipedal Spider-like creature with an Exoskeleton. Lined with priestly and simple green silks, and possessing 7 golden eyes, which give off a slight shimmer. (2 main arms, 2 smaller arms that extrude out the front of the cloak, and 2 which hide within the cloak to perform the somatic components of spells.
Real Name: Matthew Samir
In-Game Name: Mriggan D'Nimli
Gender: M
Age: 28 for Matthew, 19 for Mriggan.
Race Type: Arachnoid (Heteromorphic Insect)
Karmatic Alignment: -0 (If you get the joke, you're a legend)
Racial Levels: 20. Arcanid is a magic-focused racial level, with limited telepathy.
Job Levels: As shown. Remaining 15 levels are monk (5), Templar (5), and cursed caster (5)

Stats: As shown, though MAG.ATK currently sits at - 70. Was impossible to do using the character sheet generator (too large to link sadly). This will count as 70 normally, for sake of point allocation.

HP - 80
MP - 90
Phys.ATK - 60
Phys.DEF - 65
Agility - 40
MAG.ATK - Negative 70
MAG.DEF - 100
Resistances - 80
SPECIAL - 100
(I'm aware I'm floating 115 potential points, dw)

Personality: Twinned, depending on if you're speaking to Him or his "perfect" illusion. He himself is quite calm, speaking as if a father or mother would to a child, leaning hard into his priestly aesthetic, though acts a bit odd from time to time. His illusion is eccentric, excitable, chaotic. Both speak with a permanent pseudo-Shakespearean accent, similar to one clearly faking it with little literature knowledge.

Guild: Initially a part of "KewlBugFaxx", renamed to "BugFax". Small guild with little impact, other than being notorious bug and glitch exploiters in the old world; usually for meme/joke reasons.
Rundown of build: Exploits a unique property of illusion magic in which the lower your MAG.ATK, the more believable your illusions are (Due to how the "Detection Threshold" would be calculated, using a multiplier). This causes several useful spells to become useless when cast by Mriggan. It also has the side effect of allowing certain healing or damage spells to do "inverted damage", causing harm or healing when they should do the opposite. Sadly, it's restricted to lower-tier spells, as most higher-tier ones have Flat Bonuses to their Damage or Healing stats.
Passives: Poison Immunity, Mind-Altering Effect immunity
Notable Magic/Active Skills: "Perfect Replica" allows for an illusory replica of himself to exist at a constant mana drain (offset by items). Impervious to harm, and capable of being the source of spells, though unable to cast any alone. "Cirque du Freak", wide-area illusion spell, causing random buffs and debuffs to appear on allies and enemies, and disguising the terrain as something else entirely.
Most creatures of level 40+ without any negatives to being able to detect illusions struggle to detect the presence of illusions. Most beyond 80 are incapable, believing the illusion to be real, even when shown otherwise. The worse you are at detecting illusions, the MORE likely you are to see through them.
Mriggan typically does not wear the cursed items allowing him to achieve a negative to Magic Attack while around in the new world; as most people are below the "level 40 threshold".

Noteworthy items:
- Cursed Vestments sof Madness. Grants a major boon to MP regeneration and Magic Defense, however significantly reduces Magic Attack.
- Scythe of Meralmanon. A very light magic weapon that deals Damage based on a character's MAG.ATK instead of PHYS.ATK.
- Cursed Rings of the Bulwark. Increases resistances to all damage, at the cost of massively reducing both MAG.ATK and moderately reducing movement speed.
- Eye of Vecna. Increases the potency of all spells cast by the creature, at the cost of a minor reduction to maximum HP.
