  An ambitious and carefree delinquent hostess, Homura is often seen loitering around classrooms and spaces she isn't supposed to be in. Due to her tall figure, it's easy to spot her, often causing her to get in trouble. However, she always has a strange way of getting herself out of trouble, even if it means running away when a teacher's back is turned to her.
  
  She is the loud type, often taking up the most space in the room, making sure she's comfortable before anyone else. Other than her usual trespassing, Homura is also seen skating frequently around school, sometimes indoors if she's brave enough. These acts have caused her to become rougher around the edges, consistently having to pick herself back up with no help from anyone.
  
  Although constantly getting teased ( and in trouble ) for her actions, Homura has no intention of stopping. She cares very little for her personal reputation and merely shrugs off any bad-mouthing she receives. However, this attitude quickly changes when she sees someone else getting unfairly treated. She is quick to jump in to defend someone, her harsh words usually scaring off the bullies.
  
  Although forced into the position, the student has grown to enjoy her time at the club. At first stating, it was "lame" to entertain other people, but she now seems to enjoy the attention she gets, now having guys be interested in hearing her speak than just avoiding her. It's a welcomed change of pace, even if she won't admit to the others she likes it.

  Born in Japan to a middle-class family, Homura was constantly getting the short end of the stick. Her two brothers didn't seem to respect her at all, making her life increasingly difficult. Although they could get along -- evidenced by her older brother who constantly dragged her into her hobbies -- it wasn't the norm. The three had to share a cramped bedroom, despite their family having money, and constantly got their belongings mixed up. Homura couldn't count the number of times she rushed to school only to find out she grabbed the wrong back and couldn't do any of her assignments.
  
  Not only did the living arrangement put a strain on their relationship, but so did their parents. Constantly comparing the three didn't help the girl's attitude at all, constantly breaking into conversation with "What the hell do you mean by that?" It was like a competition -- who could gain their parent's attention the fastest and Homura was dead last.
  
  No matter how many times she attempted to plead her case, wanting to show her parents she was the best student, she was consistently clean, she could become a talented artist, they didn't care.

  Once the realization hit that she would never be valued as much as her brothers, Homura began to drift away from her family. Their conversations became dull from her lack of effort and she was always the first person to leave the dinner table. She would stay late at school, usually lingering throughout club rooms trying to bide her time although too afraid to join.
  
  Despite her home situation, Homura kept all her high energy reserved for school, hoping to make new friends during the school year. However, found herself easily scaring people off with her accidental harsh tones and words. They considered her speech vulgar and how a man would speak, unfitting for a young girl. Eventually, it garnered her an unwanted reputation for being disruptive and intimidating. This reputation that followed her made it increasingly difficult to join any club, often hearing back "Sorry, but you're not really someone we want here."
  
  Now distant from her family and her peers, the student couldn't help but feel . . . a sense of freedom. If everyone already knew of her reputation and wasn't even going to bother speaking to her, what was stopping her from doing anything? Judgment? She was already being judged by existing, so why not do whatever she wanted?

  Shit, maybe her carefree attitude had taken her a little too far? It was one thing to steal her brother's skateboard and constantly ride it around school -- especially after she was told not to -- but would this get her into real trouble?

  "Miss Oyama, what do you have to say for yourself?" the guidance counselor scolded.
  
  As she stared at the older woman, the student merely shrugged.
  
  "You've skipped multiple classes, stole art club supplies, and vandalized the girl's bathroom and you have nothing to say for yourself?"
  
  "Fine, I will say that wasn't me, alright?"
  
  "Wasn't you? You were the only one in there, and how do you explain your uniform?"
  
  Homura quickly moved her hand underneath her thigh, masking the paint on the sleeve. "I have no idea what you're talking about, alright? I was just in there taking a piss when I saw it, doesn't mean I did it. You wouldn't accuse the person that reports a dead body to be the murderer, right? So you can't blame me."
  
  The guidance was taken aback, shaking her head.
  
  "You're just pinning this on me because you've got nobody else," she laughed, pulling herself off the seat.
  
  "Now hold on a moment, Miss Oyama. We still have to discuss your other behavior,"
  
  The student allowed her body to collapse on the chair, forcing her head back with a groan. "What? I told you I wasn't d--!"
  
  "It's unrelated to the vandalism. Your grades have drastically dropped since your first year here and we have become concerned. Not to mention your constant breaking of the school rules, maybe it's time for a change to get you back on the right track."
  
  Homura's eyes dropped from the ceiling to the counselor. "Just what exactly are you suggesting?"
  
  "Why don't you join the photography club with your brother? Maybe he can guide you back--"
  
  "Fuck no!" she immediately jumped out of her seat. "That damn lame ass is already forcing me into all his shit at home I don't want to see him at school!"
  
  The woman sighed, "Well . . . there is this other club that is in desperate need of members. I think those wonderful ladies will have a good effect on you."

  'A chance to meet new people' was how the guidance counselor described it. 'Punishment' was more fitting.
  
  Having to sit around and entertain guys for hours was not how she wanted to spend her afternoons, especially when they kept saying the same line. "Oh, Oyama I had no idea you knew so much about sports! You're actually a really cool girl," or better yet. "Oyama, how do you know so much about cars?" As if a girl was incapable of understanding how a machine works.

Emiko is an overly friendly, considerate, and sincere person, you would think that she is a lot younger than she actually is due to this. All that Emiko wants to achieve is for everyone surrounding her to be happy and healthy. She can be a leader, when necessary, but tends to really rely on the Vice President of the Host Club to help her out with certain tasks and planning. When she does put in her two cents on planning events, they are always over the top and typically out of their budget. What can she say? That's just how she was raised, in a very formal and traditional household. This did lead her to being a dependable person, she is always left to do her homework without fear that she would abandon it, the same for any tasks that she was asked to do by her parents. Though she does well in her studies, Emiko isn't a star pupil, but who doesn't love someone who is a little bit of an airhead.

BACKGROUND

Emiko grew up first moving around due to her father having to travel for his jobs. As she got older, her father, Akira Sasaki, became more and more stable with work until they ended up where they are now. Her mother, Aiko Sasaki, worked as a fashion designer for the rich and famous, which would take her away from spending much time with Emiko. Seeing as both her parents weren't around her much, she would end up spending most of her time either alone, or with their butler. In order to make up for the lack of attention, she was receiving from her parents, they would shower her with gifts from the places they would visit. This would become a routine thing that Emiko eventually fell in love with, but would also have loved to get some one-on-one time with her parents. When she began studying at Ouran, she felt as though she fit right in with all of the other spoiled teens. After visiting with the Host Club a few times, she realized how much she loved the attention. This would spark her to become the president of a Host Club that would be more attentive to male guests, if she couldn't get attention from her parents, then she would get it somewhere else.

Yumiko has a very soft and sweet nature about her, with a heart that she wears on her sleeve. Although she is very shy, she enjoys forming close bonds with people and taking care of them in order to show her love. Years of bandaging herself up after bouts of clumsiness has left her quite good at bandaging up others. Other than nursing other people's wounds, Yumiko also enjoys cooking for others, and often brings her treats to club events. She also enjoys painting, gardening, and reading a good romance novel.

Although very book smart, and even though her grades have gotten better since she regained a little focus, she can be a little dumb sometimes, but she always laughs it off in good humor when she realizes what she's done or if someone calls her out on it. Still, she has learned how to use it to her advantage in some cases, and will absolutely play it up during club gatherings. That, and her clumsiness, which she also comes by naturally.

Yumiko was born to Haruna (Mother - a Successful Business Attorney) and Touma (Father - a Painter), with a genius older sister and an active younger brother. She always felt like the black sheep of the family, not being smart enough to keep up with her sister, and her brother was a martial arts fanatic, which she was far too clumsy for. For much of her childhood, she found herself holed up in her father's studio, reading a book in the corner while he worked on his paintings, which was just fine for the both of them, and strengthened their bond greatly. Yumiko was always a quiet girl who was a little too shy for her own good, which resulted in a lack of friends growing up. Books filled the hole in her heart that friends left, and that was fine with her, at least for a while. It was easy to talk to the princes in her head, easy to dance with dukes, and flirt with dashing knights. She poured her childhood into fantasies and romance novels, and more often than not lost herself in them.

Unable to stop reading or fantasizing about the stories, Yumiko often found herself distracted. She was often called "stupid" or "dense", but she liked to think she was rather intelligent. Though, her grades could suffer here and there, depending on where her thoughts were during class. Of course, it often meant that she wasn't paying attention to her surroundings, and she became notorious for being clumsy. Which, she always thought, was fair. Ever since she could remember she'd always had bandages all over, scrapes here and there, and she was always falling into fountains or bushes. It wasn't until she got older that she realized that behavior actually drew attention to her. Real life boys that wanted to romance her and flirt with her all because of the helpless, sweet, ditzy demeanor that she had. She began to like the attention, despite it still making her blush like crazy! And she used that persona to her advantage, so when the time came to join the Hostess Club, she knew she was perfect.

Miru Mochizuki was born to an art loving family, her mother a designer and her father a choreographer. Thanks to their success, she was able to chose what she wanted to be in life without a second thought, and being exposed to theatre and her father's work made a five year old Miru declared that she would be a ballerina. Her parents loved that she was following their footsteps! Ever since that moment she was put into the best ballet classes money could buy. She was extremely good at it, she didn't need her father to help her get lead roles. But as she grew older, boys at her dance studios would talk about their feelings of love towards her. Miru was confused by this. She had been so focused on making her parents proud in her chosen field she forgot that she can be a teen at the same time. Thus, the tsundere personality appeared. Running away from the feelings she didn't understand, brushing off love confessions became her normal. To this day she focuses on competition, on being the best rather than being a teenager and being in love. Why would a girl like this join the hostess club? It was the only club that worked with her busy rehearsal schedule.

PERSONALITY: A free spirit, Morgan doesn't like rules and is a 'Gyaru' type. She also loves to just lose herself in dancing, the only time when her anxiety isn't getting the best of her.
BACKGROUND: Coming from a rich family but bored of all the rules, Morgan doesn't push herself to do well in class, and she likes to rebel against her parents' strict rules; getting in trouble in school, going out for karaoke or to go dancing, and her whole style of attire whenever she doesn't have to wear her uniform- as well as never properly wearing the uniform either, thus getting her in trouble.
When she found out about a Host Club at the fancy school her parents sent her to, she went there to see what it was all about, but only the once, giving the impression that she was 'too good' for that sort of thing. When she heard that a 'host club for girls' was opening, her curiosity grabbed her and she found herself checking the place out. Her parents always bugged her about "not doing enough at school" so she signed herself up, figuring she could always ditch to go dancing and just tell her parents she was at her club- or just dance at the club as long as she can deal with dancing in front of her classmates.
It's not like she hates her parents, they just have their expectations for her set way too high and don't let her do anything fun.

Growing up to two well-known parents, Rima quickly learned how to be in the spotlight and what that meant for her actions and personality. It's almost like Rima has a switch of sorts, turn her on and she's as talkative and sociable as any other young socialite, when she's off though, her words and actions become a bit more soft and light as she doesn't have to impress anyone. Most of her schoolmates think she's beautiful and with how kind she is, there really isn't a reason for others not to like her.

Rima's true self is level-headed and fun-loving, though the big parties that her parents constantly host do tend to bring out her anxieties more than the ones at the hostess club. She used to be extremely self conscious about herself, but since helping Emiko create the hostess club, her confidence has grown. However, if she's speaking to a guy she actually likes, she may stutter or fumble over her words, even when she's trying to come off as nonchalant. Rima is sort of a mystery to those she's not close to as her personality isn't the most steady thing about her, soon enough she'll find out it's because of undiagnosed bipolar disorder, but for now she's doing her very best to be who everyone wants her to be.

The suzukis were a pair of celebrities, beloved by almost everyone for their stellar reputation and talents in the fashion and music industries. Rima's mother, Kagome, is a fashion designer to the stars while her father, Itsuki, is a famed composer for the movies. Both are talented and famous as ever, so when they had a daughter the world's eyes were on her to follow in their successful footsteps. Of course she's done her best, becoming her mother's own personal model for the fashion brand and walking in multiple fashion weeks for other designers as well. On her father's side, Rima is an accomplished pianist and has sung a few songs on the soundtrack of movies.

Taking a break from work though, now Rima is enrolled at Ouran Academy and has recently started the woman's host club alongside The Princess. As the vice president of the club, she is in charge of planning themes, parties and trips for them and their patrons. She tends to overwork herself because of her need to please and be perfect, but a lot of her work is fun too. She loves modeling and loves the host club even more, especially now that they've begun doing combined events with the boys. She may have a thing for one of them, but she's not sure she'd ever be able to come forward and say anything out of a fear of rejection. She's used to people loving her and anything else terrifies her.

Young Rima is nothing short of a sweetheart, after all, she is known to be angelic. When your parents are always in the public eye and raise you to know nothing else, you too would always be on your best behavior. Rima is almost always wearing a facade to hide any bits of wild and crazy she might want to let out. Due to her status as a well-known model, she makes sure to always look and act as if there's someone watching her, because usually there is.

Her parents have instilled in her the need for perfection and popularity, so she tries to act as she thinks they'd wish. Familial pressures are hard to live up to though, and at some point people crack. Deep down, Rima is a fun-loving teenager who wants nothing more than to just have one day of freedom, one day to go out without the fear of someone getting the wrong idea about her. She just wants to be herself.
