OVERVIEW AND EXPLANATION

This Roleplay is directed towards advanced RP-ers. This information shall be updated

Basic Explanation

This is set in the time period of 1889 where there are many important families and children are betrothed at birth. However, even though it is set back in this time period, there will be fantastical things going on such as the war. The war is a battle of darkness and light (good VS evil) and whoever wins the war gets to envelop the world in either darkness or light. The god Chaos is the god of discord and Cosmos is the goddess of harmony. These two gods couldn't defeat each other as they were completely equal so they dragged the mortals into it. They each chose five of the most important families in England and make them into their soldiers. Once they prepared the chosen mortals they sent them off to battle and so the war began. Those who fall will fade away from the world, forever forgotten. Those who survive and win, well they are the ones who receive what they deserve.

Chosen Ones [Darkness]

The five that were chosen to fight for Chaos had traits that didn't make them so pure. This means that these people either feed off of negative things (not literally), or do bad things. This can be anything from being a sadist, to wanting to kill people. These chosen ones are harder to handle as they usually want to be on their own and so Chaos usually has a hard time keeping them under control. Most of the chosen ones already don't trust Chaos and so he only encourages them through the hope of them winning the war and getting one wish. However, there is also the case that a person will in fact want to be in the war for if they win and get the wish they'll be able to bring a loved one back to them.

Chosen Ones [Light]

The five that were chosen to fight for Cosmos had traits that were very pure and innocent. This means that they believe in hope, are good to people, and don't enjoy negative things. This can vary from inviting the poor to stay in your house on a rainy night, or even giving money to charity. These chosen ones are very easy to direct and Cosmos never has problems, unless they start questioning why they are fighting. This makes them so they don't trust her sometimes which is bad.

Contractors

Each chosen one became a Contractor once they were chosen. A contractor is exactly as it sounds. They make a contract with a Chain that assists them in battle. By becoming a Contractor they don't die as easily and have more abilities than other humans. This goes to a certain extent as gods can only do so much to the human before it puts too much strain on their body. By becoming a Contractor they receive a Contract Seal. This seal is placed somewhere on the Chain's body and the Contractors body. Contractors are very unique in the sense that they are able to handle multiple Chains. Having multiple Chains can result in the death of a Contractor if they are not able to handle it. They are also allowed to send their Chains rouge for a short period of time. However, this renders them helpless and vulnerable.

Chain

A Chain is a human that was sent into the Abyss and basically sold their soul and everything that made them a human to the Will of Abyss. Being selling these things they were granted the ability to turn into a monstrous creature and they required special abilities. The forms that they take are only available through a contract with a Contractor. Even when they don't have a contract the Chain is still able to use some of their powers, but not all. Once a Chain forms a contract with a Contractor they protect their Contractor and fight alongside them. Some Chains will act like a butler as it's common for the rich to have butlers and maids in this time. Though there s something you must know about a Chain. Having a Chain will result in your lifespan depleting each time you fail to win a battle. They suck away your, the Contractor, life force away. This is the only way for them to stay 'alive'.

Battles

Since the only focus for the Chain and Contractor is to try and win the war for that god they often engage in battle whenever they meet an opponent. When two Contractors engage in a fight it is usually away from other people because if other humans found out about the war the they would panic and there wouldn't be a world left to claim. A Chain and Contractor and fight each other, however it is less likely that the Contractor would win against a Chain. Chains don't take damage the same as human as they aren't considered humans anymore. This makes Chains very hard to kill if you are only a Contractor, however Chains inflict much more damage on other Chains, though they can't kill them very easily or it wouldn't be any fun for Chaos and Cosmos.

Friend or Foe

Making friends is very important in this war since nobody knows exactly what side you're fighting for. This means if a Contractor and Chain was fighting for Chaos and befriended a warrior of Cosmos, they could destroy that warrior without much of a resistance. This comes in handy with that rather twisted warriors of Chaos that don't seem to fight for any specific side.

Shadow Wraiths

A Shadow Wraith is a spy from Chaos and is a rather gruesome thing to behold. Them act like ghosts and hide themselves from view and watch the warriors of Chaos. They can't actually touch a Contractor or Chain, but they can move objects around. In short they are basically an invincible poltergeist. Even so, they can be 'killed' and sent back to Chaos if they are 'wounded' enough by a Contractor or Chain. The Wraiths will take form of whatever you fear and so they all look differently to everyone, which makes it even worse if you awake with one peeping through your window at night.

Light Wraiths

Light Wraiths are the same as the Wraiths of Chaos, however they aren't as gruesome and are cloaked in a white cape and hood. They simply follow the warriors of Cosmos and make reports to their Mistress whenever they find out something interesting. Each Wraith appears differently to every pair as they take shape of whatever you find scary. However with the light Wraiths, they are more ghostly than anything.

Safe Houses

Chaos and Cosmos each have a very large mansion that is considered a safe house. Anyone can wander into the seemingly abandoned estate, however once they wander into the estate they cross an invisible barrier that permits no violence between Contractors and Chains. This is because the chosen ones can be attacked anywhere and Chaos and Cosmos wanted to give them a place where they could rest at ease and not feel the need to fight. Usually if you follow either wraith during the night they will lead you to either safe house.
