Zaltusinel
Novelist and Word Whisperer
-----------
Large rumbles, sudden crackles in metal. The sensation of dread clawed into the chest, into the mind. Thrusting out of current tasks, sleeping, repairing, playing cards, into a panic of only the gods could understand. Power failed quickly, flood lights flickered on. In minutes, everything felt blurry, felt unstable. Then in an instant, it ended with screams of injuries and the silence of the dead upon impact. Reaching upon the console, the text read top as Gestalt Ship, a ship you never heard of. Eyes creaking down the text wall, hundreds of names listed. As each person died around you, one name disappeared from the list. The console shocked up, swelled up before exploding. Your arm thrusts over your face, letting the explosion somehow not harm you. Gel vaped over you and hardened as you resisted. Then in a moment, a hand twisted the gel and it released. The face completely unrecognizable, the eyes iridescent before returning to a soft blue. She too vaporizes suddenly from a wave of radiation. A vast away of webbing protected you from the wave, but it embedded into your skin. A article of armor not in the faint of memories. Silence stuffed itself everywhere until your feet pound against the metal of the ship. Pounding heart and titanic breath, the door opens in front of you and you enter into a alien world. The air thick and infested with the feeling of sickness. The soil moist and malleable when not even wet at all. The ground whipped as cowboys while standing still with nothing at all.
A single tree with rocky bark and shiny thistles stood tall in the field. A turn to the ship behind you alarms you to other survivors while the smell of death slowly entered the air. On the outer edge was a cryo sleep pod, damaged slightly, but there was some working lights. A lake stood by to the south, the waters glowing as energy cells float along. Judging from the current, they won't be reachable for long. However, they look nothing as that on the ship. With no recollection of what Gestalt was made for. Maybe it could be alien? Either way, what would anyone do right off the bat?
