Large rumbles, sudden crackles in metal. The sensation of dread clawed into the chest, into the mind. Thrusting out of current tasks, sleeping, repairing, playing cards, into a panic of only the gods could understand. Power failed quickly, flood lights flickered on. In minutes, everything felt blurry, felt unstable. Then in an instant, it ended with screams of injuries and the silence of the dead upon impact. Reaching upon the console, the text read top as Gestalt Ship, a ship you never heard of. Eyes creaking down the text wall, hundreds of names listed. As each person died around you, one name disappeared from the list. The console shocked up, swelled up before exploding. Your arm thrusts over your face, letting the explosion somehow not harm you. Gel vaped over you and hardened as you resisted. Then in a moment, a hand twisted the gel and it released. The face completely unrecognizable, the eyes iridescent before returning to a soft blue. She too vaporizes suddenly from a wave of radiation. A vast away of webbing protected you from the wave, but it embedded into your skin. A article of armor not in the faint of memories. Silence stuffed itself everywhere until your feet pound against the metal of the ship. Pounding heart and titanic breath, the door opens in front of you and you enter into a alien world. The air thick and infested with the feeling of sickness. The soil moist and malleable when not even wet at all. The ground whipped as cowboys while standing still with nothing at all.

A single tree with rocky bark and shiny thistles stood tall in the field. A turn to the ship behind you alarms you to other survivors while the smell of death slowly entered the air. On the outer edge was a cryo sleep pod, damaged slightly, but there was some working lights. A lake stood by to the south, the waters glowing as energy cells float along. Judging from the current, they won't be reachable for long. However, they look nothing as that on the ship. With no recollection of what Gestalt was made for. Maybe it could be alien? Either way, what would anyone do right off the bat?

Raeka steps out, examining her surroundings carefully, breathing in heavily, eyes wide, looking for danger. She stops breathing momentarily when she sees other survivors making their way out as well. Her eyes well up slightly, fear and confusion overtaking her senses. She looks down to her feet, analyzing the ground under her. where am I? she asks herself, her thoughts travelling at a rapid rate. after a few seconds she turns around and sits down, still in shock from what just transpired. analyzing the landscape once again.

Vince stumbled out of the wreck, eyes wide and wild. He jogs several dozen meters away and throws himself to the ground, his hands over his head, almost as if he was trying to shield himself from something. After several seconds, he slowly unclasped his hands from his head and rolled over onto his side to look at the ship, a sigh of relief coming from him as he realized the ship wasn't about to engulf him and the survivors in a ball of fire. He pushed himself up from the ground with a light grunt, trying to gain his bearings; he quickly realized he had no idea where has was or why the hell he was on that ship. He waved towards the only other person he could see (Raeka) as he patted at his pants pocket. After a few seconds, he realized it was partially covered by the gel, which he started to pick and peel at for unknown reasons.

Shepard was in all honesty still trying to figure out what happened as he emerged from the wreak. Looking around various names and Vital's came up into his HUB as he saw various survivors. Looking back to the ship he sighed as various damage reports popped up on his HUB. Glancing behind him he saw a lone tree. Through his connectivity to everyone Via specialized watch like devices everyone had on he set a rally beacon on the tree for any survivors to go to. Sending the info to the watches they would let out a loud beep to signify to the wearer they got commands. Once that was done Shepard looked back to the ship and continued to scan it before he turned and started for the lone tree

Chapter One: Landing
Wind rallied up, bristling by with swift swings catching through fire and ash on the nearby grassland. A faint silhouette walked out of the fire of the crashed ship, moving somewhat erratically. The lone tree shook quickly for a brief moment before returning to a careful oscillation as the silhouette approached it. A large pod falls from the sky, with it, a continuous hissing sound accompanied it. A furry beast crawled out of the pod, into the horizon behind the burning wreck. The silhouette gazed at it briefly before sitting down near Shepard in the lonely darkness that was the lone tree. As the survivors gathered their bearings, the stasis pod began to rumble as ominous boops traveled over the tiny speakers on top of the bearings. The light flickered faster, sparking from lack of power in the chamber. Frosty air shrieked out of the air containment systems as tubes flied off from the large box on the back of the chamber. The silhouette laid back onto the lonely tree, staring at the pod vigorously.

"We might want to check that out, then again, I thought the ship console said something about explosive pods."

Vince watched the new arrival absently, more focused on his pants than anything else. After several seconds, he peeled away the gel from his pocket, and reached into it as he gave a short laugh. He withdrew a battered paper pack labelled "Marlboro" and opened it, revealing thirteen cigarettes. He quickly put one into his mouth and started walking over to the tree, sparing a glance at the direction the creature ran off to. He put the pack back into his pocket and took out a plain steel zippo, snapping it open with his thumb and using it to light up his cigarette. He reached the tree just as he was putting his zippo away, and stood next to the figure and robot. He gave a thoughtful look at the pod, and said to the figure "Might as well check it out. Ship hasn't exploded yet, and if the reactor is compromised we're as good as dead anyways." He paused for a second, and then said "Anyone have any idea where the hell we are? Or why we were on that ship? I'm drawing a blank...". He quietly puffed on his cigarette, waiting for anyone to answer.

Raeka’s head shot up at the sudden clamour Vince makes, jumping in surprise, her heart rate sky-rocketing, from the scare. She watches as they realize they weren’t going to explode. When he waves in her direction, she awkwardly waves back, still wary. She suddenly feels her wrist vibrate and hears it beep, glancing down at the message before finally standing up and jogging over to the tree, just in time to see the pod fall from the sky. She regards the others for their reactions and watches as a small creature appears from the wreck before starting to run off. She glances to the others, who don’t quite seem to care about said creature, while to her, that creature could be of great use to her and the others in possibly understanding the planet better. After realizing no one else seems to want to know more about the creature and would rather investigate the wreck, Raeka takes matters into her own hands and sprints off after the creature. She passes the pod the creature came out of, not paying it much mind as she runs after the fuzzy beast. Honed in on catching it.0579FF1B-AC11-4309-80F8-D3B62C2112F5.jpeg

"If I had anything, I would tell... fact of the matter is. We need to stay together." She walked out, toward where Raeka chased the creature. She brushed up her hair as her words came slowly. "Pheobe, Phoebe Thomas. Come, we need to move away from the ship. We can make it out of the blast before it blows. Wherever those beasts are going, there is better than here. At least, we'll be able to find something out."

The beast continued to run until it reached the river. A jade light leaked out from the waters and a solid surface formed across the water. The beast crawled to the other side, sprinting again before stopping at a large cliff on the other side. As such Raeka followed up behind, forebidding the large cliff. Looking down, she saw a large metal structure, dark and empty.
