Character Theory OOC Introductions

Do I need an OOC post introducing my character when I start RPing in any world?

I'm new so I don't know what I'm doing trying to learn ^..^

What else do I need to know to start RPing is there a thread that answers these questions already can someone provide a link?

Typically you'll be asked to submit a pre made character sheet provided by the GM to introduce a new character. All formal intro posts will be made in the actual IC.

Well it depends on where you want to start. If you are new to rolepaying I would start with 1x1s not groups. 1x1s are between two people and they are much more customized to your individual needs. This is especially good if you don't know what your doing, as that way you are getting overwhelmed by everything everyone else is doing.

The simplest way to get started with 1x1s is find someone whose ideas you like 1x1 Interest Checks

And see if they would be down to roleplay. Explain your new to roleplaying and might need some help with different terms and what not.
