Name: Everett "Yoshi" Yoshioka

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Nationality: American

Designation: Military - United States Army

Rank: 2nd Lieutenant

Equipment:

An infantry officer, Yoshi carries much in the way of navigation gear, including maps and a compass, as well as basic signaling equipment such as flares and colored smoke grenades. Among his personal belongings, Yoshi carries a Kodiak 35 camera, alongside a journey, filled with basic German phrases and, oddly enough, a tourist's brouchure of Germany. Attire-wise, Yoshi is dressed in standard-issue wool sweater and trousers, with an Officer's overcoat worn over and a field cap in place of his helmet. An ammunition bandoleer is fitted over his uniform, alongside a light backpack and equipment belt.

In terms of weaponry, Yoshi wields a standard issue M1 Carbine as well as an M1911 sidearm and M1942 bayonet

Personality:

Soft, cheerful but committed, Yoshi is a enthusiastic, relatively green commissioned officer. Taking great care in those appointed in his command, Yoshi makes an effort to bond and connect to those he works with, though some may also describe him as overbearing. Though working to earn the respect of his men, Yoshi suffers a hubris, believing his education and training grants him unquestionable superiority over those appointed to him. Despite this, Yoshi is an open listener and curious mind, and is quick to trust, genuinely believing that most beings he encounter are altruistic at their core.

Background:

Born to Japanese-American parents on the territory of Hawaii, Yoshi viewed himself as a blessed American, growing up immersed in the high spirit Americana of the Hawaiian island. An optimist since birth, Yoshi spent much of his young life volunteering throughout community projects, and even picked up a job working as a local lifeguard. At the months leading to the outbreak of World War II, Yoshi, then working to attain a degree in psychology, enlisted into the Hawaiian national guard, hoping to continue to serve his community should the need arise. His commitment to his country was soon tried however, following the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the subsequent targeting of Japanese American citizens.

Following a period of uneasy tension, Yoshi was permitted to continue service in the National Guard and, upon completion of his degree in 1944, quickly enlisted into the US Army, earning a commission with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team.

Yoshi officially entered the war in the waning months of winter, 1945, where he experienced his first taste of combat in the mountains of Northern Italy. There, Yoshi was spared from the horrors of April, following the invasion of the Demon Horde. As the previous war ended, Yoshi and his unit were transferred into the western line in September, where he now awaits his first deployment against the horde.

Name: Arkady Alesnarovich
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Nationality: Soviet
Designation: Military
Rank: Junior Sergeant
Appearance: Despite wearing a full face balaclava most of the time, Arkady does take it off on occasion. His features look young, early twenties at best, with dark circles under his green eyes. His hair is a shortly clipped, bright blonde, alongside some fairly tanned skin.
Equipment: PPSH sub machine gun, steel bib, radio, 2x five pound dynamite satchels, 1x ten pound dynamite satchel.
Personality: Arkady is a somewhat nervous but rather steeled person. He's quiet unless he thinks he has a better idea, and even then, still listens well. Works well in a team.
Background: Alesnarovich's father was a card-carrying member of the Party. After the Germans violated the non-aggression pack, his dad joined voluntarily as a political officer. Being an only child, Arkady wrote multiple letters to his father in order to keep up to date as well as he could. One day, the letters stopped coming, and Arkady only had the sinking suspicion he was dead. The official story he was told is that his father was on a top priority mission and was too busy to write back, but even back then he saw through the farce.

It wasn't long before the recruitment officers came for a now sixteen year old Arkady. Fortunately his father and mothers' influence got him a slightly cushier position as a Sapper rather than an infantryman, and was at technical school for all about two months before it was destroyed by German artillery. He made it out unscathed, and was picked up by the 51st Army, only to be thrown into the Siege of Stalingrad, and eventually Operation Uranus.

However, after news and eventually arrivals of the monsters created by the Affliction, he moved up to the Soviet border alongside many of his Wehrmacht enemies to secure the newly established Soviet border. After a particularly long engagement lasting a matter of hours, Arkady was deployed with a squad of men to repair a radio wire running between them and the Americans, and hasn't been seen since.

She headed the revolution movement in France, successfully reclaiming several towns near Normandy, and the brains behind several key German-appointed representatives assasinations and resignations.  She was stationed in Germany roughly a year and a half ago, where she became secretary to a powerful general in the Third Reich.

She attempted to warn the western powers about Hitler's plan, but was arrested before she could finish relaying the message. She spent the days up to the end in a cramped cell, roughly 7 meters below ground. On the day of the end, the guard released her and her fellow POWs, saying "Hölle hath kommen": Hell hath come. She was the only one to escape from those cells, and there had been thirty or more down there with her. The dead overran it mere moments after their release. She radioed for help from the allies and was initially denied until she was able to confirm her identity. She was secured by a small team a week later; how she managed so survive that long was never disclosed.

Name

James Jefferson

Age

22

Gender

Male

Nationality

American Caucasian

Rank

Corporal

Appearance

He has a pretty weak build, muscle wise. He always keeps his square shaped face cleanly shaven and his black hair cut as much as he possibly can. A chip of his ear is cut off, presumably from taking a bullet.  His uniform is slightly muddy and torn, after much wear from fighting.

Equipment

Standard m1903a3 springfield rifle, with multiple ammo clips. WW2 standard issue combat knife. And a standard issue M1911 semi automatic pistol.

Personality

Very patriotic for his beloved America. His skills in the military aren't the best or worst, but he always acts as he's  the greatest killer in the world. Has a deep hatred for Germany, Japan, and Italy. Can be very hot headed at times, as well. One thing he always does is try his best to follow the rules of war, though it maybe challenging for him. Enjoys messing around and playing cards. Very extroverted and sarcastic at times. Understands the dangers and responsibility of war but cannot help to enjoy it a little, though he does get scared and protective of those he loves.

Background

James Jefferson was brought up in a loving, middle classed American home. Lived most his life in Atlanta, Georgia. Playing cards, hunting, fishing and listening to music. He was and still is a mischievous kid, getting into trouble a lot to go out of his way to do extreme things. Like skipping class to climb trees, prank teachers, or just listening to the news on the radio. His friend, Frank Clark, was his partner in crime. They both did everything together, and considering that Frank was older than James by a few years, he looked up to him.

The two young boy's life changed dramatically in 1941. "Pearl harbor bombed by Japan!" the newscaster said on their old radio, "America on the path to entering the war!". The two boys looked at each-other, scared, silent. At that exact moment, they both became men.

It wasn't long before the two enlisted for the military, Frank was eighteen. Meaning Frank could enter the war legally. "I'm sorry, old pal." Frank wimperd with his old pal. "Guessin' this is where we part, I'll be sure to kill some Japs and Germans, just for you."

James was devastated, returning to his home. Disappointment rushed through his body, every day felt like a he was failing his country, and poor Frank. Alone out there, no friends or anything. Days passed. They felt like years to James.

One morning James looked through his window, spying Frank's mother across the fence. Weeping into a handkerchief, with a man in a dark suit patting her on the back. James rushed out the door and over to Mrs. Clark's door where the two stood. He didn't have to even ask, he stopped in the path and looked away. Jame's father told him that crying is unheard of for a man to do, so he tensed up and decided to run to the enlisting office. With a plan to lie about his age in mind.

Though he was far from where the "hell came to earth" (as he would say), he simply just accepted it. The horrors of war over the years had made him never surprised on how bad the situation will get. He agreed to continue and fight for the new Allied powers, hoping to God that no other innocent life will be taken away. (However, he knew that'd be too good to be true).

Name: Fred Worthen

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Nationality: American

Designation: Military - United States Army

Rank: Captain

Appearance:
PPWWIIRanger.jpg

p3.jpg

Equipment: M1 "Thompson" Submachine gun .45 ACP

                       1911 Colt .45 ACP

                       SCR-536 "Walkie Talkie"

                       MKII "Pineapple" fragmentation grenades

                       M18 Smoke Grenades

                       M82 "Gammon" Grenades

                       Binoculars

                       Maps, pencils, overlays

1918 Trench Knife with brass knuckle duster

Fred witnessed firsthand the devastating effect that America's "Superior Firepower" doctrine had. Now a firm believer in artillery as course of action for most conflicts, he does not shy away from puling out his portable radio and calling for fire on large troop movements. A veteran of small infantry engagements as well, Fred can direct and coordinate a company sized element to attack enemy positions. Of course, Fred has yet to find how traditional firefight tactics are applicable to his new foe.

Personality: Absolute salt. Gruff and to the point, Fred is by no means diplomatic. He will tell you want he wants done, and expect you come up with a solution to do it. He doesn't baby his subordinates, instead expecting them to perform at peak capacity. Should those under him find a problem, he expects them fully to solve the problem on their own before approaching him. He used to be cold as ice in combat versus the German military, however finding himself up against an enemy he does not understand, he second guesses every decision he now makes. He often wonders aloud if there is any real hope against the new threat. He certainly is going to make them work for it, though.

Background: Hailing from a long line of warfighters, it was natural Fred enlisted in the military after the attacks on Pearl Harbor. Being selected for the 2nd Ranger Battalion, he participated in the landings on Pointe-Du-Hoc. During the initial landing and scaling of the cliffs, a majority of Fred's senior leadership were killed. With the absence of a command presence, Fred and a few other Rangers filled in and commanded the 90 remaining Soldiers to scale the cliffs and eliminate the German gun positions overlooking Omaha Beach. Soon thereafter, Fred received a battlefield commission and commanded a platoon up through the war. In the Battle of Hurtgen Forest, Fred's entire company was pinned down by German forces while attempting to seize the city of Arnhem. Fred decided he had no other recourse but to call back to Allied artillery units, and as he called it, "smoke the utter loving shit out of them." The resulting firestorm sent forth from the cannons helped level the city and allow the Allied forces to capture the it shortly before the Battle of the Bulge occurred. He was promoted to Captain right before the German Holy Reich unleashed hell upon the Allied lines.

Name:

Konstantin Josef Sokolov

Age:

28

Gender:

Male

Nationality:

Ukrainian/Russian (Soviet Union)

Designation:
Military

Rank:

Сержант (USSR Sergeant)

Appearance:

c4f3d35fb0cf3a926ab676d3dc9be8c5.jpg

Stands at 6'4" with impressively broad chest and wide shoulders, eyes of glacier blue are only framed by thick lashes, lying above curving cheekbones and angular jaw - accentuated by his light shadow of stubble. Large, strong hands are calloused from the use of weapons, as well as harsh military training. Often wears his bespoke uniform, which clings to his figure well in khaki green.

Equipment:

 - An entrenching tool

- Water canteen

- Gun fittings (cleaning kits etc.)

- Combat knife

- Steel helmet

- PPSh-41 (Pistolet-Pulemyot Shpagina 41) Submachine Gun (SMG) (1941)

- F1 Hand Grenade (Soviet)

- RPG-43 Anti-Tank Grenade

- Thick woollen greatcoat

Personality:

A defiant, tenacious, and stubborn red-ragger. Born out of the resonating Communist revolution, and propaganda ages, he believes that Stalin is an undisputed giant among men. Don't try and argue Capitalism with the man, or it'll last for a century. Although an excellent player of the Balalaika (Russian stringed musical instrument with a characteristic triangular body and three strings), his musical gifts are often shared around the camp during the evenings - Russians know how to put on a show especially. A representative of his fellow comrades, he's often the one to stand up and demand the delivery of rations whether it serves him punishment or result.

Outlandish and prideful, he mastered the Cossack Dance (Kazatsky) at only twenty-two, with the effort only a patriot would have. The deep love for his adopted culture; proving his worth of a Russian name and yet showing off the skill and restraint of a Ukrainian.

Sokolov might be desensitised to death, but the man is a great joy to be around unless enraged - in which it's best to duck (One of the reasons his metal mug has so many chips and dents in it). Otherwise, he embodies the Russian everyone expects him to be. Including out drinking any American who dares make a bet against the seasoned Sergeant.

Background:
Born during 1917, Konstantin lost his father to war and the great Russian Revolution. With his mother, a poor peasant worker, doing her best to support them both, they struggled on by. Konstantin was a big lad, even in his youth; fighting tooth and claw with the village boys for no other reason than to make sure his mother was safe. Having no man in the household was dangerous after all, and it sent out a bigger message to the men at home. Living in Ukraine, it was soon a hardworking life that would be a struggle for survival, for Stalin imposed Holodomor. The systematic extermination by hunger of the Ukrainian people, leaving millions of children orphaned - including Sokolov. So he was abandoned, hungry, and increasingly desensitised to death. For at fifteen, one would walk out into the street, and right over the corpse of a starved woman clutching her dead infant.

During 1933, the height of the starvation, he ran away from the orphanage they discarded him in and came across a Russian Military encampment. It was here he was offered food, the first real meal in months; camaraderie; warmth. He discarded his name that day and chose a new one. Pretending to be seventeen so he could join the grand Russian armed forces. In a manner of ways, he became their little brother. A family of men who had lost so much, and gained even less.

Like so many Soviet Union Citizens, he never once blamed Stalin for the loss of his parents. Nay, he looked up the figure. Those dark, cold eyes, and thick brow that could make you feel so proud to be part of the Motherland. Here was paradise. Here they fought for unity, for the working man - communism. A beacon of hope. Alas, his history is lost to him. He disowned that scared boy a long time ago, in favour of strength.

During the battle for Berlin, they'd been so close. Reaching the Reichstag, putting up the Soviet flag - it was joyous!

Till Germany made a terrifying recovery. Face to face with unleashed hordes of demons, and the undead, his Platoon barely scraped out alive. Redistributed and sent towards the Western lines to hold them back, some were spread along the border of the Soviet Union at Warsaw. Surrounded by the unfamiliarity of languages and dropping morale, it was perhaps the moment of truth for why they hadn't mutinied yet. There wasn't even enough Soviet guns for everyone, let alone equipment. The factories never rested. Yet, neither did the apocalypse.

Name: Kvetka Bubnova

Age: 27

Gender: Female

Nationality: Czechoslovakian

Designation: Civilian

Equipment:

A civilian doctor contracted by the UAP to investigate the cause of the Demonic Horde, Kvetka is lightly geared and armed, relying on most of those appointed with her to handle the strenuous aspects of work. On herself, Kevtka carries a satchel, filled with notes and journals, along with an assortment of pens, pencils, camera equipment and measuring devices. Attire wise, Kvetka is dressed in a black leather jacket, green sweater, a red scarf and grey trousers, along with a pair of knee high boots. Her only defense is that of a M1895 revolver, which is strapped tightly to her thigh.

Personality:

Kvetka is devoted to her work. To a quite unsettling extent. Showering, sleeping and eating take second place to the completion of her studies, Kvetka often times requiring someone to remind her to cater to these needs. Socially, Kvetka is a shut-in, deeming most too stupid or too ignorant to comprehend her research, and, as such, often reacts angrily and arrogantly to those around her. Her rare attempts at branching to others is often the result of life-threatening circumstances, or a desire to gain more knowledge. Those that have worked alongside her have described her as "deranged" at worst, and "misunderstood" at best.

Background:

Born into the closing days of the Austro-Hungarian empire in 1918, Kvetka was raised with an obsession into the paranormal aspects of human culture, no doubt a byproduct of the years of death that preceded her birth. Considered a prodigy among her classmates, Kvetka excelled in the fields of history, psychology, philosophy and religion. Attending university at the ripe age of 17, Kyetka began to pursue the field of theology. Her professors and fellow students, though stricken back her obsessive and anti-social tendencies, were nonetheless awestruck by her devotion into religion and the human condition. By age 25, Kvetka was in the final stages of attaining her doctorate in Theology, until her thesis was shown to the board.

Claiming that humanity existed alongside multiple dimensions, including those of demon-like beings and other whimsical creatures, Kvetka was swiftly discredited amongst her peers, reduced to a laughing-stock in her field. Shortly after, Kvetka disappeared off official records. Whether to escape humiliation or continue her research in private, it is unknown. However, in the weeks following the demonic invasion of Germany, Kvetka once more revealed herself to the UAP, who quickly took her aboard. Now standing senior over the professors and classmates who once ridiculed her, Kvetka has demanded direct access to the wasteland of Germany, and offer with which the UAP is forced to give.

(Model: Paul Boche)

Name: Isak Kramer
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Nationality: German
Designation: Military
Rank: -
Equipment:

- German Lüger
- Special Engineers kit
- Shovel
- Emergency rations - candy bars
-Canteen

- Book

- Small Radio

Personality: He's relatively quiet, moderate in
Background: Born in 1926, Isak was already destined to where he was going to be. On the beaches of Normandy, during D-Day, he was one of the few in the 12th SS Panzer Division who weren't decimated and had managed to survive with a few cuts and bruises. After the devastation of the Battle of the Bulge, Isak was hospitalised after having deep gashes on his legs and having to crawl away from the tank he had been flown out from.  A blonde hair and blue eyed boy with a knack with gym and being perfectly diligent, he was “as swift as a greyhound, as tough as leather, and as hard as Krupp’s steel.” but he lacked all else. His courageousness would not deter his tentative nature, his quickness would never match his wit and his strength could be lost by his wistful nature. During his youth, he had witnessed many things - in 1935, he went to the Nuremberg rally and he felt the passion that alighted his heart but he seemed to lack belief as the years went by. Especially in 1936 when Hitler Youth was made compulsory.

However in present day, after recovering, he returned home to his mother and his younger siblings who'd already grown up without him. He had tried to write letters but it never seemed to be comfortably written, it was a draft of thoughts that weren't expressed by him. "All is well..." He wanted to never to return to Germany, it seemed like he had missed the best part of his childhood before he went to war and that was only because he had been miserably deceived by his family. He hated Der Fuhrer and he hated the regime and he wished he had joined the Edelweiss Pirates when he had the chance. It was no use - he would have ended the same way but in an openly detached relationship with his family.

Four armies were selected for the operation. Adolf Hitler personally selected for the counter-offensive on the northern shoulder of the western front the best troops available and officers he trusted. The lead role in the attack was given to Sepp Dietrich's 6th Panzer Army, commanded by SS-Oberstgruppenführer Sepp Dietrich. It included the most experienced formation of the Waffen-SS: the 1st SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler. It also contained the 12th SS Panzer Division Hitlerjugend

Later on in December 1944, in the battle of the Bulge, fighting alongside with additional infantry divisions he had witnessed the attack of the twin villages of Rocherath and Krinkelt (in original plan of taking control in order to clear clear a path to the high ground of Elsenborn Ridge).
