Name: Xavier Ford

Nickname: -

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Height: 6'1

Eye Color: Hazel

Hair Color: Black

Year: 2nd

Major: Engineering

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Relationships: *

Crush: pm

History/Personality: Xavier is rebellious daredevil and thrill seeker with a love for adventure and the unknown. This confident teen behaves much like a delinquent and is unafraid to speak his views and mind even if it puts him against the vast majority or at odds with others. He is capable of being sweet and sometimes looks out for others even though he usually calls them a pain in the neck. Being rather rough around the edges in his manner can make him difficult to get along with at times but if you can tolerate his arrogance, impulsiveness, and teasing, there is never a boring moment with this ever active bad boy. He is a strong and solid character, staying true to himself and his beliefs. Xavier likes a good challenge and is very independent, hating rules and restrictions that limit his freedom and is extremely stubborn, refusing to give up. Xavier doesn't believe in sugar coating but rather the harsh, hard truth and won't hesitate to serve it up to others. He keeps going his own way living his life the way he wants to, pursuing his goals and dreams regardless of the objections of those around him. His foul temper, mouth and breaking of rules regularly gets him into trouble and fights and when in a bad mood, he often pushes away the care, concern and good will of others. He finds it hard to just be nice to others outright and words like 'it's not half bad' from him usually mean 'it's fantastic' or other compliments. Xavier detests those who just go with the flow because it is the safest way and wimps who don't dare take risks or fight for what they really want. He doesn't get along well with many people and is very argumentative with a foul temper and hot head, especially around wishy washy wimps. Xavier has trust issues as a result of his father's repeated failure to keep his promises and doesn't like to talk about or think of his past.

He grew up in a household with an abusive mother, an absent father and a caring older brother. From young he had been a disappointment to his mother unlike his older brother and his father had been useless, too afraid of his wife and busy with work to protect his youngest son, forcing his older child to do his job. The abuse had been mostly verbal with the occasional slap and violence, always put an end to by Xavier's older brother Diego. Xavier had been a difficult child from young, always getting into fights with other kids and being compared to with Diego by teachers and everyone around him. The only one he could tolerate and liked being around was Diego himself who had always been there and the one positive part of his life, supporting Xavier and encouraging him even when others put him down. Even though Diego had been the cause of many of his woes due to the constant comparison between the two, Xavier's animosity had fallen to everyone else but him and Diego had been the one to help him discover his passion in life and his goals and dreams. They both believed they would always be together until Xavier got into major trouble and Diego died saving him. Everything was downhill from there as his mother went mad with grief and his father simply worked longer hours to stay out of their volatile home. The abuse escalated and she started taking out all her rage and fury on him and when Xavier fought back, it only got worse. Forced to protect himself, Xavier became very independent from a young age due to the lack of any adult figures to protect and support him in his life. Several months after the death on Diego's birthday however, his mother completely lost it and assaulted Xavier with a glass bottle, smashing it over his head. After this, his father filed for divorce and sole custody of Xavier but as always, he had taken action too late and the relationship between him and Xavier was beyond repair, his fear of his violent wife shifting to his silent and despondent son. The assault had Xavier hospitalised for a few weeks for the injury and several others that had been left untreated. He ignored his father after being discharged and considered every word he said empty and meaningless. Ever since, he's pursued his passions relentlessly, refusing to give up and becoming anything like his father or mother.

Quirks: Taps his foot when impatient and annoyed, doesn't look people in the eye when complimenting them, stares others down when agitated, trembles when trying to restrain his anger, smokes when stressed or cooling off his head, gambles weekly, listens to dj music when he has nothing to do, kicks open and shut most doors

Plates hit the wooden floor, shattering yet again as a young Xavier watched his mom in silence, her long dark curls a mess that covered her face as she panted and heaved over the dining table, one hand using the table to support her weight, the other holding onto one of three empty wine bottles. "This is all your fault!" She screamed as she hurled the bottle at him missing her target by a mile as the bottle smashed into the wall. "If you never existed, none of this would have happened. NONE OF IT!" Xavier's small fists trembled at his sides but his gaze never faltered, staring straight at his mom, burning the image of her utterly broken into his 10 year old mind. "You're a useless child! A good for nothing who only knows how to make trouble and get your own older brother killed!" Yet another bottle flew past and shattered as the words were hurled at him and this time Xavier ever so slightly flinched. He had been used to this, to his mother's disapproval and nasty words. In her eyes and everyone else's, he'd always been the lesser child, incomparable to his 'perfect' brother. A brother who'd always protect him. A brother who was no longer here because of him.

Xavier blinked back the tears he could feel welling up behind his eyes and pushed the thought as far away as he could. He'd done a lot of things, got into fights and plenty of trouble but he didn't cause the one person who'd mattered to him to die. He didn't kill his brother, he couldn't allow himself to believe that, if he did he'd never be able to get back up, he'd be tortured with guilt for life.

"Your brother was a good kid. He never did anything to deserve this." His mother started as she left the table and stumbled towards him, too drunk and out of it to even walk straights as she swayed unsteadily to the left and right in her advance, the last of the three bottles in her hand. "He always protected you no matter what you did and for what?" She demanded as she drew nearer, raising the bottle higher as she approached, Xavier's own muscles tensing as he prepared himself to dodge his mother's assault. "YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE ONE TO DIE!" His mother let out a fury filled scream and swung the bottle down with all the force she could muster towards Xavier but the boy didn't even budge, the gaze of his eyes becoming blank as his mind processed her words. Words that he couldn't deny because of a single truth. For once she was right.

His father had opened the front door seconds too late as always was the case and could only watch in horror as the woman he called his wife brought the glass bottle over her head and smashed it over his youngest son. The suitcase fell in time with his son's body and he rushed to bring his wife under control as both hit the ground but too late to be of any real help as he always had been. Absent and late.

accept things the way they are

Quirks:

Aside from a few of the people in Odd Ones Out, he communicates with nothing but small talk.

He is certainly not considered 'talkative' but if he spoke everything on his mind, you wouldn't get him to shut up.

When what someone is saying irritates him, he becomes very twitchy; twisting his lips, not being able to stand completely still - the lot of it.

Strengths:

Despite being rather quiet, he has a lot of integrity and will not put up with
Bullshit nonsense.

His lingering instinct to help people - though, this aspect of his personality he finds annoying sometimes.

He's knowledgeable and well educated. He examines situations before doing anything reckless.

Weakness:

Communication: both speaking and listening

He has a very short temper

Telling the truth - he has become a compulsive liar

History/Personality:

Jonathan grew up in what most might consider a 'wealthy family.' He had his father, mother, older brother and older sister. His parents were both in love with their respective jobs; his father was a basketball star now turned basketball coach and his mother is a news reporter. Due to both of their careers taking up a significant amount of their day, Jonathan and his two siblings had a nanny. The nanny never paid much attention to them (though was still receiving high pay) so he spent a great amount of time with his older brother Elijah (The eldest) and his older sister Maria (The middle child). During his childhood, Jonathan would spend hours upon hours playing with his siblings in their garden. They all loved playing sports, and Jonathan had aspired to eventually become a basketball star much like his father.

Despite Jonathan's interest in sport, he noticed that his older brother Eli had begun music lessons and was already talented with both the guitar and piano. Jonathan soon took an interest in Eli's music and decided he too wanted to play an instrument. In no time, he began having guitar lessons and although learning a great deal from his teacher, he was usually taught by Eli at home. Jonathan was a slow learner, but Eli was patient. He'd teach him simple songs on his acoustic and play along with him, alternating between the piano and the guitar. Eli had also loved to sing, so the both of them composed their own songs. Jonathan would occasionally join in singing with Eli, but never believed he was half as good. As the pair practiced their music together and grew closer, their sister became less and less involved in their lives. Whenever they'd play she'd usually shout for them to practice somewhere else while she did her homework or was chatting on her phone to friends. Jonathan still loved his sister to bits, however.

Jonathan always performed well at Uni. He was never disorganized and made sure that he was excelling. He had a positive outlook on his studies and although being closet with his brother, he had a small, yet amazing and reliable group of close friends. Unfortunately, this didn't last very long. Arriving home one evening he was informed that Eli had been involved in a car crash. He had survived, however was in a coma. Eli remained in that coma for almost a year and Jonathan visited whenever he had the opportunity. Sometimes he'd bring his guitar to the hospital and play music to Eli in the hopes that one day he'd open up his eyes and say with an impressed smile, "you've improved, Jongie." Despite not having passed yet, the other members of his family had already given up on Eli - and Jonathan resented them for it. However, Jonathan' soon learned that they were right when Eli did eventually pass on; but even though they had 'known' this was going to happen, he was even more so angered that they hadn't even given Eli the slightest bit of faith.

After Eli's death, Jonathan began to lose interest in his studies. He would only participate in what was necessary, doing the bare minimum. His parents were losing their patience with him, getting tired of him not eating, not speaking and purposely avoiding them and his sister. There was just this irritating little voice nagging Jonathan, telling him that nothing would ever bet better and he had to be mad at
everything. He could no longer stand those long, tedious club meetings when they'd nitpick at tiny little details that Jonathan began to stop caring about - they didn't matter to him, they shouldn't matter to anyone. That's when he took interest in the Odd Ones Out. The idea was the first thing that appealed to him in a long time and possibly something that could get him past the wall he'd hit after Elijah's death, motivating him to do more and move on. Despite not feeling anywhere near like he had been previous to Eli's death, Jonathan is talking more and is feeling more comfortable in the Odd Ones Out Club.

Weakness: very self conscious, criticizes every word she says and is very bad at making decisions and saying no to people.

Her little sister was more like her as she was great at reading and technology, and her little brother was into many sports that kept him busy during the year. Writing Sample:

"Mikey!" My mom calls me from downstairs. I smile a little and turn off my computer, yanking out my earbuds that I was using on my computer. I stand up, smooth down my dress, and nearly skip down the stairs. Yesterday I was angry at my mother for signing me up to this school without my consent. Today, I'm overly excited about learning to control my power. I'm wearing a blue plaid dress and lime green tights, I think. And white flats. I look pretty because I'm excited for this new school and want to make a good impression.

My mom smiles at me. "Someone's happy!" She says, reaching out and squeezing my hand. I smile at her. "I'm going to learn to control my power." I say very quietly, tapping my pink blacked out sunglasses. They stop my eyes from controlling everyone I come in contact with. My mom smiles. "I'm glad you're so excited." She tells me before leading the way into the kitchen. I grin when I smell pancakes wafting up to my nose. Yum, my favorite breakfast.

Half an hour later we all pile into the car. I'm in the back and my uncle is driving with my mom in the passenger seat. He's probably glad to get rid of me, but I don't care bexause the feelings are reciprocated. I plug in my earbuds to listen to Kelly Clarkson, but before I can turn it on I feel a sharp tap on my leg. I look up and take out the earbuds. "You got that stick of yours?" My uncle's gruff voice asks me. I nod. "You got that computer so people can actually understand you?" I nod again. "You got your suitcase?" I nod, obviously. He turns around and I smile, putting my music on.

An hour later, we pull into the parking lot. I jump up and grab my cane and my suitcase. My mom gets out and follows me across the street, but halfway there I fall into a seizure. I really hate seizures. They make me tired and sluggish and everyone has to watch for them. Plus, everyone's scared of me because of them. At least some kids at school were. This one lasts five minutes, and then we continue on. Of course, now my pace is slower and I look really tired, because I am.

We enter the school and a lady tells me I'm in room 312 with Zelda

I just added to her History/Personality after reading how long its supposed to be. Sorry things seem so short, I wrote this at 1 am.

WIP- She's done (for now, I may fine-tune her) but I still need a writing sample.

Appearance:

Name:
Meredith Estelle Blaise

Nickname: None. Please.

Age: 17, almost 18

Gender: Cis female

Height: 5'2"

Eye Color: Blue-grey

Hair Color: Blonde

Year:
Freshman

Major: Computer Science

Sexuality: Straight

Relationships: She believes a relationship would be impossible due to her age.

Crush: None, thus far.

Quirks:

She is keenly aware of how young she is and, while she doesn't outright lie about it, she doesn't volunteer the information that she skipped a year.

She hates being judged for her age before people get to know her and especially hates the comment "you're very mature for your age."

She is rather loud and doesn't have a good awareness of how loud she really is.

Even though she spends plenty of effort maintaining her appearance, she gets very uncomfortable when people compliment her for it. She hides this behind snarky comments along the lines of "I have a brain behind this face too you know."

Glitter is her favorite color. Just ask her.

She has an unusually low pain tolerance and bruises like a peach.

She is very proud of her Belgian heritage and celebrates this by eating a lot of waffles.

Back home, she had 5 rescue cats, and was known as a "crazy cat lady in training."

Strengths:

She is academically quite brilliant, which is why she skipped a year.

She is empathetic and finds she makes friends easily.

She is wonderfully sarcastic, witty, and is the type to make people laugh.

She has a strong work ethic and tries her best to work hard and to give her all to everything she does.

She is actually a morning person and is able to catch up on work during that time.

Weakness:

She struggles to maintain friendships because of her desire to constantly experience new things.

She struggles with commitment or making decisions.

She is a hothead.

She procrastinates terribly and tends to put too much on her plate.

She is quite blunt, which you either love or hate her for. Usually, people don't appreciate being told a harsh truth.

She can be terribly sarcastic.

She gets grossed out by most medical things, and as such must be extremely ill before consenting to a doctor's visit.

History/Personality:

Meredith was born into a blissful life. Her mother was a trophy wife, an English major who moved straight out of the dorms into her husband's house, where she was to throw dinner parties and have many wonderful children. Her father was an engineering grad, who had already been hired at some big company doing some big job that Meredith never bothered to ask about. She was brought home into a house that was as beautiful on the outside as it was damaged on the inside.

Underneath the fresh pink nursery paint and spackle, there were holes in the walls from angry, drunken punches. Underneath her mother's pristine makeup, bought from a friend's Arbonne party, because after all who buys things from a mall these days, were bruises from being thrown down stairs and onto counters. And behind the fancy china, the ones they used at their lovely dinner parties with the wives and girlfriends of all her father's employees or coworkers, again, she never bothered to learn much about his career, were the paper plates they used every other day, because all the porcelain ones had been broken.

After the first time he hit Meredith, her mother left. She packed up herself and the baby bag and, in the middle of the night, ran away. She was three states away from her parents, had no money, and had no idea there was any help available. She made it to the next town over before he found her and brought her back.

After the second time, her mother had a plan. Her parents came to get her, and to document the injuries. They came with disposable cameras, a novel technology at the time, and had them developed immediately at the drugstore. They took them to the police.

In a Northern town he would have been arrested. But her mother had moved South, away from their lovely, Yankee home, to raise her child in the rural prairie-lands. They told her parents that it was a private family matter, and to send her daughter back home to her husband.

Until Meredith was 8, which was just old enough for her to remember this for the rest of her life, this cycle continued, and the abuse to her worsened. However, when her father was finally arrested for assaulting someone he worked with, her mother took her back to New England. They had no money, but Meredith's grandparents were just so thankful to have her home that they didn't care. Meredith watched her mother put herself back through college, and earn a master's in education, while she went through elementary school. She would do her homework next to her mom, get put to bed, and watch her mom drive off to work as a McDonald's manager through her bedroom window. Her grandmother would watch her those nights, and she always spoiled her with extra stories to make up for her mother being away.

Watching her mother do that gave Meredith a view of education that was different from most children. When she hit middle school and was assigned a five-paragraph essay, she asked, "is that all?" To the best of her knowledge, an essay was five pages, at least. She worked hard, even when the other people laughed at her. Actually, she worked especially hard when the other students laughed at her.

She had few friends and never really learned to bond with people her own age. By high school, she was an outcast. Her mother's new husband, the man she considers her daddy in every aspect except biology, adopted her legally after an arduous court battle. She was happy, and well ahead of her peers in her studies.

To fill her time she devoted herself to volunteering, especially at the local library. She volunteered at first just with the books, but offered to help them set up their computers which over time evolved into teaching a class on computer basics to the elderly. This caused her to realize she had a real knack with technology. In her junior year, she began petitioning to skip her senior year, having fulfilled all the graduation requirements early by foregoing study halls and being exempt from gym due to her rare heart condition, which to be frank doesn't bother her nearly as much as it used to, but she hates sweating in public. On the topic of that, though, she developed it in the 8th grade, and even though for a few years it kicked her ass, it's more of a nuisance now.

Her mother and father stepped up and began to petition with her. They supported her, and believed she deserved this. They were willing to pay her tuition to send her away, and were more than willing to fight on her behalf. The school granted her petition in the eleventh hour, hoping she would never be accepted in time. On account of her excellent academic record and unique situation, the university granted her a 48 hour extension, which was just long enough for her to apply. She was accepted, and is now eagerly attending her first semester of college.

Likes: She likes trying new things and testing boundaries. If she is told not to do something, it is almost assuredly the first thing she will do. She loves all animals, even the scary ones like sharks, and if she sees one in the wild she will go out of her way to make friends with it. She leaves granola outside her dorm door to feed the little birdlings on campus. She makes up words, like birdlings, and loves being silly about it. She's quite fond of making fun of herself and British comedy. She reads for pleasure, but almost exclusively long fantasy series in the vein of Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings, and only with music in the background. She likes TV too. She loves all things pretty and especially enjoys being pretty herself. She loves the way the sunrise looks and strives to be awake to see it in the mornings. She likes pizza and spaghetti, but isn't big on meat. It's not an ethical thing, it's just the taste. And, she likes being thorough. She enjoys exhaustive to-do lists and making sure nothing gets left out. She likes her big fat color coded planner and could never describe anything in less than a paragraph, especially herself.

Dislikes: She hates people with preconceptions about anything, especially other people. Her only judgement of people she doesn't know are that they're "probably nice," and hates prejudices that say anything else. She dislikes people who are too politically conservative and struggles to understand the reasons behind their values. She doesn't like cheaply made clothing, but she refuses to pay more than $15 for a piece because she doesn't like wasting money. She deplores rudeness, especially in those who know better. She doesn't like talking about negative things for too long. She doesn't like painting her nails because she chews them too much. She doesn't like things that aren't symmetrical. She doesn't like wasting time and she doesn't like being alone. She does not like nicknames, but can tolerate them for other people.

Fears: She is very afraid of the reactions she gets when people find out how young she is and is counting down the days until she is legally 18. These fears are well-founded, however, as she has lost people at various stages of friendship when they found out. She fears failing her parents, who fought for her to skip a grade when it was clear high school wasn't the right place for her and who are paying for her college with their own loans. She fears being pushed into a box, where she will either be pretty or smart, but never both.

"What isn't a quirk, honestly? I'm pretty sure I'm a bunch of quirks pasted together"

Minjae gets unnecessarily nervous around girls but not guys, which leads to him dating more males.

Fidgets often out of nervousness

Always uses objects around him as toys to keep his fingers occupied

Amazing cook

Always keeps things tidy

Rarely gets mad at people he cares about

Weakness:

Shy

Often anxious

Insecure in his ability to speak English

Takes the teachings of his culture too far

Considerate to a fault

History/Personality:

Minjae was born in Gwancheon, South Korea to a traditional, close-knit Korean family. He was an excellent student, even with the pressures of the South Korean educational system. He was taught in a strict manner that left no room for failure, and ever since he has been determined never to disappoint anyone. From a young age, although he loves his country, he has always wanted more than tiny South Korea could provide. He started learning languages on his own when he was in high school, and has been determined to perfect his English. He spent his time in South Korea cooking, dancing, singing, and learning, and is fond of his many years there. However, after he graduated, he decided to travel to the US for further schooling and to see what the world had to offer for him. Upon his arrival at the university, he was dismayed by the lack of clubs that would accept him. He was a very small, foreign, overwhelmed fish is a very competitive, larger-than-life American pond. Overall, Minjae is very friendly, caring, talented, and compassionate, but a little shy. Once you get close to him, he is incredibly loyal and he'll begin to open up and expose his true colors. He was taught well and is incredibly sweet and compassionate.

"??? ??? ? ??" Minjae's mother said tearfully while gripping his arm until her knuckles turned white. "??, ???? ?? ????, ?? ?? ? ? ? ?" Minjae replied, looking straight into her deep brown eyes, a crease of worry in her brow. Seeing his mother so scared and upset caused tears to well in his eyes. He wondered if he should cancel his ticket and stay in his mother's arms forever, living in South Korea for the rest of his life couldn't be that bad, could it? But he mustn't. Ever since he learned the word '??' and saw his first pictures of America he had dreamed about going there. This was what he was meant to do. And besides, it wasn't forever, he couldn't stay away from his family too long. He MUST do this now, while he is young, otherwise he might live the rest of his life with regret. "??? ???, ?? ????. ????." He said to his family from the boarding gate, waving. It was difficult to tear his eyes away from his family, sure, but he couldn't hide his thrill of excitement as he boarded the plane.

One short plane ride later, he was in America. ??. The place he had daydreamed of his whole life. And he was going to make the most of his time at university here.

After landing in America, Minjae soon realized it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. University would not start for a few weeks yet, so Minjae holed up in a hotel in the city and practiced English. Despite years of studying English diligently, it was never up to the standards of American people. And American people were unnecessarily mean, in Minjae's opinion. In his first week in America, a grocery store cashier rolled her eyes and complained that he "took too long" while checking out. The conversion from won to USD was hard to fathom in his head, as one South Korean won equals 0.00087 of a United States Dollar, but how could she understand that? On the street, a simple mistake while asking a local for directions would earn him a snicker and maybe even a racist remark. Of course, these people couldn't know or understand his story or how hard it was to adjust to American life. He tried not to blame them, but in his head he constantly wondered '?? ??? ?? ????' He tried to keep a positive outlook, and his mantra became 'University will be better'. Of course, there were some people who were extremely kind to him, and he was more grateful than they would ever know. However, the interactions with the nasty ones were what kept him up at night as he tried to digest his failures.

"University will be better."

"Goodbye, my son"

"Mom, don't be so formal, I'll be home soon."

"Goodbye, Skype me, I love you."

?? = America

?? ??? ?? ??? = What happened to compassion?

Quirks - Checks her phone even if there is no notifications

Strengths - Good writing skills, can easily charm people, can adapt fast to new environments, and polite

Weaknesses - Pessimistic, not sporty, and is very jumpy.

Soaking in the sea like honey don't need money

History-

Elizabeth grew up in a very small town. Her mother and father loved each other very much, and their children were polite and top of the class students. A perfect little fairy tale, but Elizabeth was missing a prince. She had always been searching for romance, and one day she thought she had found it. Eliza fell into an abusive relationship, it started out slow, but snide comments and rude remarks grew into bruised hips and cut lips. Worst of all, even though the signs were evident, no one had the courage to tell him to back away. In fact, the only reason they are apart now is that he was a grade above her and is now off to college, leaving her free but possibly another girl trapped in his grip. This brutal relationship had many affects, the once bubbly girl fell into a pit of depression and developed a fear of sudden movements. Just the slightest twitch of the hand can have her bouncing out of her seat. Her parents have tried to help, taking her to a therapist but nothing would ever be the same.

She tries, she tries so hard to be normal again, at least normal as in the way she was. Thing are different now, though. She no longer plays on the volleyball team and does cheerleading. She no longer hangs out with friends on the weekend and goes to parties. Rather, she stays inside with her earbuds secure and her head in a book. But what else would you expect? She can't hide her past, only hide from others who know about it.

Likes- Food, Movies, Quiet, Rain, Reading, and Alternative music.

Dislikes - Being in crowds, social interaction with large groups, and scary movies.

Fears - Touch and being trapped in a confined space with no exit.

All I need is, you

The Meeting

The room was crowded, filled with student of all shapes, sizes, and social statuses. Eliza was zoned out of the conversations the cheerleaders were engaged in, only hearing bits and pieces of the plan to go out this weekend. She knew she didn't really need to listen, they would all text it in the group message anyways. Around the auditorium everyone was waiting for the assembly to start, some were on the bleachers and others were standing on the main floor. She looked across the crowded room, just day dreaming, when she suddenly caught the dark chocolate, curious eyes of a boy standing alone by the edge of the bleachers. She excused herself from her group of friends who clearly weren't paying attention and headed towards him, making sure to hold eye contact.
"Why are you looking me like that?" She asked as she approached him.

The boy ran his hands through his wavy brown hair that was touching the tip of his collar. "
I was just thinking, if I asked you out for coffee tonight, if you would say yes." He said, his voice husky and low.

She bite her lip, her cheeks tinting the slightest bit pink as she though about the fact that a guy as cute as him would ask a girl like her out.
"Maybe," she teased him, "I guess you'll have to ask to find out." She turned around to start heading back to her group of friends that were looking to find their seats for the assembly when she felt his large, warm hand curl around her wrist.

"Come," he said, "sit with me." Of course, Elizabeth just smiled and waved off her friends as the gestured her to come sit with them at the spot that they found. The boy pulled her over to the bleacher and she plunked down onto the seat with an oof.

Heat radiated of their legs where their thighs touched, their sides scrunched together even though there was plenty of room. As the assembly began and everyone went quiet, his hands started to roam her upper thigh. A shiver passed down her back and she crossed his legs, hoping he would understand that she felt uncomfortable, as they only just met.

He did take his hand off her leg, but instead slipped it under her shirt, his warm hand drawing circles on her bare skin. "
How about that coffee date?" He asked lowly, whispering in her ear and placing a kiss on her neck. She nodded, entranced in his charm and charisma, wondering where this would lead.

Poor girl, little did she know.

Quirks: Like Romantic Comedy Anime, and all Otaku pursuits in general. Has a couple of big black labs at home and loves dogs. Dislikes his sister's Cats. Has an off-kilter sense of humor and likes puns and bad jokes.

Strengths: Would do anything for family and is a very kind and gentle man, despite his past.

Weakness: He looks after his sister a bit too much. He's the dominant twin and tries his best to protect her, sometimes a bit too overzealous.

History/Personality: Junior, as he is commonly called in his home town, had a normal life. His father owned a ranch, made good money, and kept his mother, his older sister, his twin sister and him happy and well fed. Then the war happened. Junior knew what he had to do. His family had fought in every war dating back to the Revolutionary War and he'd be damned if he broke that streak. He joined as a linguist. He was expecting to be given Arabic, but fate had another idea for him. He got Korean and spent four years in Korea, far from the war. He was disillusioned and left. His sister had not done well without him. She sank into a deep depression and went from job to job. He went back home and convinced her to join college with him. He never really did anything outside of farm work, but one of his buddies introduced him to anime, and he's loved it ever since. Not to the degree of some, but he still watches everything that comes out of japan. The one thing he hates about anime is the fans. He never goes to cons, he'd rather enjoy it just him and his sister. His sister humors him. He really has no other likes aside from the habit he picked up in the army, smoking. He goes through a pack and a half a day and he gets really crabby if he's gone more than an hour without one. He does have a hidden secret though. He fell in love in school. He was training for Korean, she for Arabic. They had a passionate year and were planning on marrying once one of them got out, but she was killed during a flight exercise. He's never been the same since, and has trouble really connecting with people. He's "Friendly but not familiar" with almost every person save his sister.

Likes: Smokes, anime, his sister, ferrets, and dogs

Dislikes: Cats, Storms,

Fears: Losing someone again

Writing Sample: "Catherine Mary Sweetwater! Get yer hide down here, your brothers already packed!" Mama yelled from the bottom of the stairs. "Yes Mama! Ah'm just saying byes to Peach, Bubble, and Cinder!" "Tell 'em not to shred my clothes!" Junior said from the door. "You, bags." Mama said pointing to the bags and the truck. "Yes, Mama." Junior smiled and started loading the truck. Cat walked down the stairs. "Ah gave 'em your love." She told Junior with a smile. "Mah love is a bit more hard. Like a boot." "Hush now, they love you." "So you keep telling me as they snack on me." Junior smiled. He got all the bags packed and lit a smoke. "Ah really wish you'd quit, Mama won't say it, but ah will." "And ah'll start listening when you're mah wife." Junior laughed. Cat sighed. "Cheer up! College! Away from here for once." "You've already been away, this is all new to me." Cat complained. "Whell they eat southen belles where we're going so with that attitude you'll be safe!" "Bite your tounge." She snapped. "Don't worry, there's someone crazy enough ta chase you. After all, it's tha big city!" he teased. "Someone would have to be nuttier than a fruitcake to like you." she muttered. "That's tha plan," her brother said, patting her on the shoulder. "tha crazy ones latch on harder." "You need help." she sighed "We got each other, we'll be fine." Junior said reassuringly. She held his hand. "Just keep an eye on you're drinking. "You get snake mean when someone hits on me an you're drunk." Junior shifted uncomfortably. "That's jus cause you're always three sheets and they try to take you home." he said, rubbing his nose. "Ah can always say 'no' ah got betta sense drunk than you do." "Jus cause you're old enough ain't no excuse!" Mama said sharply. "You're there to study, not ta party!" "Yes, Mama." They both said in unison. "Good." She said as she gave them both a hug and a kiss. "Look ahfta each othta, okay? Don't forget to call home on Sundays so your Daddy can hear your voices." "Don't worry Mama, we'll be home for Christmas." Junior said, giving her yet another hug. "Good now git so I can cry." Mama said, swatting the two of them away. Junior hopped in his truck and gave a last wave and pulled away. "Don't worry Cat, you're with me. Pick a song, you're nhavagator ahnaways."

Crush: Gabriel

Quirks: She knows every country song that's come out by George Straight and loves to sing them. She does not pick up on emotions the way most people would so she might seem heartless.

Strengths: Great with Math she couldbe going for her masters in math with as much as she knows, but she never applies herself.

Weakness: She feels uncomfortable too long without her brother. She doesn't realize her crush, she just sees it as normal family affection.

History/Personality: Catherine has always followed Junior's lead, and eventually it led to a very close attachment between the two of them. Their parents saw something unusual about it so when Junior left for the Army they threw suitor after suitor at Cat. None of them were bad men, she just couldn't mesh with any of them. A few dates and that was it. So she tried working, but that led to her losing a few jobs because of her natural wrongheadedness without Junior. Eventually, Junior came back and their parents were at their wits end with what to do about Cat. Junior said he'd take her to college with him and that made them happy, but also worried them more. What if something happened? They trust Junior though, even if he seems a little off after the army. She's a good natured girl but never fit in anywhere. She's pretty but clumsy so cheer-leading and sports were out and there was no "Old Country" club in high school so she kept to mostly her and her brother. She amuses him with anime, but it really isn't her hobby, it's his. All she knows is she doesn't want to be separated from Junior again, though she's not sure why.

Likes: Cats, old county music, driving the truck.

Dislikes: Dogs, suitors, her brother being too overprotective

Fears: Not being able to function in a world with Junior together as equals, not having a world with Junior in it.

Writing Sample: "Can't you turn that caterwallin off yet?" Junior said sourly at the 10th old country song to play. "You used to love this song!" Cat protested. "Ah used to love takin bathes with ya too but times change sister oh mahne." He said and took the phone. "Play QWERTY by Mushroomhead." He said into the phone. Soon the familiar rhythm of Metal came out and drums and screams came out of the stereo. When the song ended, Cat removed her hands from her ears and pressed pause. "You can't even uhndastand what them boys is trying to say!" She yelled. "That's cause you was covering your ears, Cat." Junior said smugly. "Okay new rule, we must agree on a song while we're travailing." Cat said, still rubbing her ears. "Ah'm all ears, Sissy." Junior said rolling down his window and lighting another cigarette. "That's your third one this hour." Cat grumbled. "Ah know. Ah can count. What'da you care? Ain't like ya gotta kiss me." "Sitting this close might as well have done." Cat grumbled. "Alright Sissy, pucker up!" Junior said looking at her and making a face like a fish. "Watch the road idjit." She laughed. Junior quietly finished his smoke and pulled into the motel they'd be staying in for the night. "We gotta long day ahead ah us so we eat then straight to bed. He said, looking at all the resturants near the motel. "There's one Junior! 'Home Cooked Meals!'" "Some Mama's cook betta than othas, how about a burger?" "We had burgers for lunch!" Cat pointed out. "Ok ok. Crappy restaurant it is." Junior sighed. They walked in and were seated and someone came by to take their drink order. "Decaf coffee please." Junior said with a smile. "Sweet tea." Cat said. "Our tea is unsweetened." The waitress said with a look of confusion. "This ain't the south. Not many places drink sweet tea." Junior said. "Please bring her hot black tea with lots of black shuga and a glass full of ice." He smiled at the lady. "You're boyfriend is very conciderate." The woman smiled and walked away. Cat blushed and hid her face with her hands. "You ain't got no reason to be bashful." He said with a smile. "Ah don't?" She said hopefully. "Yeah you've nevah been outa the south, how were you supposed to know?" He said with a charming smile. "You really are an idjit." She sighed. They ordered, ate, and left. It was ok, but nothing to write home about. "At least it was betta than anotha burger." She said walking out. "Yeah I guess so. Good pick Cat." They walked back to the hotel room. "Okay now sleep. We gotta be up in 9 hours an hit tha road runnin." "Yeah," Cat said as Junior lit the day's last smoke and crushed the empty pack. This was enough for now. Just him and her together. She felt on top of the world. Her brother was back. Really back, and nothing would take him away again.

Name:

Edena Jones

Nickname: Eddie

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Height: 6ft1

Eye Color: Green

Hair Color: Natural Redhead (additional Red dye atop often)

Year: Freshman

Major: Drama

Sexuality: Pansexual

Relationships: TBD

Crush: TBD

Quirks:

Will wear a leather jacket, no matter the heat. This is because the leather jacket was a gift to her from her brother and holds great emotional significance. However she never mentions this.

Carries around a battered sketchbook, can't draw. The sketchbook is full of Amber's Monsters, creatures that despite being misshapen and frankly scary, always make Eddie think of the tiny blonde.

Once every year or so, shaves her head for cancer patients (fundraising and for a wig) will dye the initial regrowth a bright red and then let her natural colouring take over as time goes on.

Can often be found (badly) dancing instead of walking between places. She is a big fan of a lot of music and often finds herself unable to hold in the urge to dance.

While the rest of her room is an absolute bomb-site, her desk is always neat and tidy. This is to do with how she views her life. The rest of the room is her personal life, so she doesn't care if it's messy, because that's who she is. Her desk is her College/Professional life, and that has to be tidy.

Loves animals and will make herself late to stop and pet a dog.

Hates public speaking but loves being on stage as a character. This is, again, down to her fear of confrontation. People don't tend to argue with the character you're portraying, but if you yourself are on stage, it's normally to state an opinion.

Strengths:

Eddie is incredibly emotionally resilient. With the exception of her relationship with Amber, she has the ability to bounce back from almost any event within a short period of time and get back to normal.

Physically, due to three years of jobs (often physical labour) Eddie is relatively strong. However she doesn't work out and rarely uses that strength for anything.

Despite her temper (and her avoidance of arguments), if she's passionate about something, she will do all she's able to in order to get what she wants (up to and including physical violence, although it doesn't often reach that point!)

She is an incredible baker, who often bakes whenever someone is upset in an attempt to comfort her. This was something she learned from her Mother who often baked bread, as it was cheaper than actually buying a loaf. If someone lets Eddie know they're upset or stressed, they will quickly find a plate of brownies or muffins in front of them.

Regardless of her height, Eddie can easily take on any role given to her, and has been known to play young children, when needed (although she doesn't often because a 6ft child is a little outside anyone's ability to willingly suspend their disbelief and she's fully aware of this)

Weakness:

Eddie's biggest weakness is her Temper. Despite years of anger management, meditation and even medication, she's still quick to anger if provoked. She's taken steps to prevent this from happening, such as avoiding debate topics and refusing to form political opinions, but they don't always work. If she finds herself in an argument, she will do her very best to keep her anger limited to just shouting and insult throwing, but if something pushes her over, she will throw punches mercilessly.

After dating a girl with emotional troubles and self harm tendencies (Amber), Eddie worries far more than she needs to about anyone who seems sad or worried about things. She will put her own health and wellbeing at risk to help someone who she thinks is in need, even if they don't actually want her help.

Due to doing her best to avoid confrontation, she is often seen as 'not taking things seriously'. This is, in part, very true. Eddie prefers to look at the lighter side of life and will only pick up a newspaper to browse the comic section. However this keeps her out of the loop regarding the world around her, often. And can, in itself, create friction when she brushes aside national and international tragedies due to not wanting to put herself in a position where she may end up in an argument.

History/Personality:

The second born child of Joanne and David Jones, Eddie was born with tufts of red hair. Her Father was, at the time, obsessed with the weird and the wacky in the name world and, despite her older brother being named Jason, named his daughter Edena. Her family instantly shortened it to Eddie, and the nickname has stuck.

Eddie was always in trouble throughout her entire schooling. She struggled with her temper, often getting into yelling matches with teachers and shoving matches with other children. Her Parents, and school faculties did all they could to try and control her outbursts of anger, and although they didn't work perfectly, by the time she was ten, she was in better control and, provided she wasn't pushed, could walk away from disagreements before they escalated into yelling and/or physical violence.

Due to this fraught time, however, she has taught herself to be as non-confrontational as possible. She refuses to get involved in politics, or any other subject that would bring about debate, knowing that she's likely to end up angry with her opponent.

When she was six, her family lost their home and due to financial difficulties, were unable to find a new one. They lived in Hotels, Hostels and Friends Homes for about a year, before managing to scrape together enough money to buy a small trailer. They lived there for seven years, a four person family squashed into a one bedroom trailer.

By the time they were able to get their own home again, although it was rented, Eddie was fourteen and her brother nearly eighteen.

Jason had won a scholarship to Harvard, where he planned on studying to become a lawyer, however he gave that opportunity up in order to stay home and help keep the family financially stable. Eddie has mixed feelings regarding this, thinking her brother a bit stupid for giving up such a great opportunity, however also being incredibly grateful as it meant she was able to finish her High School education without needing to find a job.

When Eddie was sixteen, a new girl moved to town named Amber and the two of them struck up a fast friendship, discovering despite initial appearances, the two of them had much in common. It took over a year before their friendship developed into a relationship, but when it did, Eddie couldn't be happier.

However it was not built to last, and the two mutually agreed to end their relationship once Amber left town to attend college, something Eddie was financially unable to do. Before leaving, Amber left Eddie two of her sketchbooks. One with the comic she had made of their first year of friendship (which Eddie keeps hidden and refuses to show anyone) and another full of her 'Monsters', hideous creatures with every day names. Eddie keeps these second book on her as often as she's able and takes great pride in showing off her friends artistic talent.

It took Eddie three years to save up enough money, working as many jobs as she could get her hands on, to attend college with as few loans as possible. She enrolled as a Drama Major, since her one true passion throughout her life time had been the stage, although she'd kept this fact hidden during High School, since she liked to present the 'bad boy' image to keep people at arms length.

Now in college, she's mostly let go of that image, with the exception of her leather jacket, of which she still remains highly fond and very protective over.

Being deliberately laid back, Eddie finds it easy to make friends, but difficult to keep them as once they push past that first layer of the easy going girl and they discover her anger issues, people often run off in fear. She continues to persevere, however, refusing to bow to societies image of her.

Likes:

Eddie has a multitude of things that she likes, and she takes great delight in showing off when she likes something that appears to be the opposite of what you'd expect her to like.

One example of this is her love for Taylor Swift. Looking at her, most people assume that she'd enjoy rock music (which she does) but her favourite artist remains TSwift and she'll fight anyone that speaks ill of her. (Sadly not a metaphor)

She has a deep fondness of doughnuts of ANY kind, but especially any that contain some kind of peanut butter. Although she'll eat them, she's not the biggest fan of glazed and would prefer some kind of topping.

She also loves her leather jacket and will wear it, no matter the weather. This is for emotional reasons, as it was a gift from her brother. She never explains this, as people don't often ask where she got it or why she's so attached to it.

Ambers Sketchbook(s) are another thing she is incredibly fond of. The one she keeps hidden is her favourite, since it's a sweet comic of their first year of friendship, culminating in their first kiss. However she also carries around a smaller book that is full of Monsters, all of which bring Eddie joy, despite repulsing most other people.

Dislikes:

Due to her height, her temper and her fashion sense, a lot of people pre-judge Eddie without ever meeting her. This has always been a source of annoyance for her and has lead to a firm hatred of stereotypes and a certain glee about shattering them for people.

Having grown up on the lower end of the Financial spectrum, and having had to work for everything in her life (or seen her parents or brother work for things while she was in school), Eddie doesn't take kindly to people who are entitled. She doesn't particularly care how much money a person has, but if they decide to use that money to lord over other people, or claim that they deserve things, she will get annoyed and then angry with them and problems will be born.

Despite liking most genre's of music, Eddie can't quite get her head around 'dubstep' or any kind of club music. The driving, pointless beats, and the electronic sounds give her headaches and if presented with a 'clubmix' of a song she likes, she has been known to go into swear-y rants about how such things are entirely unnecessary and ruin good songs for no reason at all.

Fears:

Eddie fears spiders. There's no logical reason for this fear, but if she sees a spider, she'll let out the highest pitch of scream that anyone has likely ever heard and will call for anyone to get rid of it for her. This was likely not helped by her brother and his rubber spiders that he enjoyed leaving around for her to find, however.

From being homeless and watching her parents struggled, Eddie has an almost debilitating fear of debt. She questions every purchase she makes and has, more than once, considered leaving college because of the expense. This fears are relatively easy to assuage as she's aware she has the money to complete her college education due to hard work, and should she need to, it wouldn't be difficult for her to get a job as she'll take any work going.

After Amber left for college, Eddie developed a fear of losing those she cared about. With this in play, she often phones or writes to her parents and brother and once a friendship has advanced past the surface, she will do all she can to keep those people in her life.

With the amount of fights she's been in in the past, Eddie also worries and fears losing her temper with someone who has done little to nothing to provoke such a reaction. Although not good behaviour, she often doesn't feel as much guilt as she should for getting physical with someone who has provoked her after warnings, however were she to physically or verbally attack someone who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, she'd be debilitated by guilt and as such, worries and fears doing such a thing.

Writing Sample:

"Man screw this!" Eddie scoffed, knocking the script she'd been attempting to memorize off of her desk. She ran her fingers through her hair, forcing herself to breathe deeply in an attempt to keep her temper under wraps.

"Stupid script, stupid role, not like I want to play the Wicked Witch of the West." That was an absolute lie, and she knew it. She'd campaigned hard for this role, even going as far as to accept the idea of a singing dub should she not be able to master the songs, just so that she could get on stage in that green and show everyone what she could do. She just really hated memorizing scripts.

"Better try again anyway." Eddie knew she was talking to herself, but paid it no mind as she bent to pick up the script. Setting it back on the desk and resting her head in her hands, she continued to stare blankly at the page, praying she absorbed some of the information presented to her before her next rehearsal in the morning.

It wasn't happening, however, and after a fruitless half an hour, Eddie let out another groan and stood from her desk, closing the script and flopping onto her unmade bed, bouncing the pile of clothes from the foot onto the floor.

"This isn't going to work..." She said to herself quietly, staring up at the ceiling. "I suck at memorizing lines! I mean, how is anyone supposed to remember, 'Maybe pronouncing your precious name isn't the sole purpose of Doctor Dillamond's life. Maybe he's not like every other professor. Maybe some of us are different.' It's nearly impossible!" She paused before realizing what she had just declared into the open air.

"Maybe some of it is sinking in." She said with a grin, though she made no move to get up and go back to studying. Her brain was hurting anyway.

Mok, Haru

I was always an unusual girl. My mother told me I had a chameleon soul, no moral compass pointing due north, no fixed personality; just an inner indecisiveness that was as wide and as wavering as the ocean.

  • Gender Male

    Age 17 (turns 18 on Sept 25th)

    Ethnicity: Caucasian

    Hair: Dark brown, almost black

    Eyes: Blue

    Height: 6’6”

Build: Rugged (extremely strong for his size)

    Other Features:

Duncan has poor sense of fashion, though his last years of high school improved his look considerably. His hair is always cut with to meet military requirements. (He used to get his hair cut on the base all the time.) He keeps just enough length to style it slightly. However as straight as his hair is, you can’t really tell. His clothing usually consists of jeans, a T shirt (preferably black), and tennis shoes. He is not above dressing up - button up versions of the same and maybe slacks. The only time he wears other clothes is when his parents visit. Then he wears a splash of color that his foster mother bought him.

A first impression of Duncan is that he is NOT a troublemaker, but rather a decent, honest kid. No tattoos, piercings or jewelry.

He has scars from multiple gunshot wounds (left shoulder, right upper leg, etc), a few knife wounds (left stomach is the worst) and more (back covered with whip marks). He wears a glove on his left hand most of the time (carries the other glove), removing it when he needs to. (He caught a knife with that hand. Makes the finger work on a guitar interesting to say the least, but it partly why he chose the guitar.)

Leader of OOO. That pretty much says it all. The guy likes comics. That’s a plus. The guy knows movies. Also a plus. Maybe some of the guy’s easy going attitude will rub off and get me to live life a little. If nothing else, he likes the spirit of OOO. Anyone who’d create such a group - in writing - and make it official - is worth getting to know.

Kieran Lucian Maddox @SimplyMusicality

Interesting girl. Plays the piano. I play keyboard. Pretty much the same thing … right? Wait … she is a girl … right? Oh crap. Not so sure. Double crap. (Shrug ..) Oh well. She .. He … Damnit, which pronoun should I use? Plays great though. Gotta figure how not to offend. Hell, if I ask THAT might offend. And people say THEY are confused. I’m confused. Crap. Oh wait, I got it. I can just do that thing that always annoyed My Holland. (His name wasn't really Mr Holland …) I can just play the same classic music … on an electric guitar. That ought to be interesting. And everyone always thought I was crazy for doing that, that I was just wasting my time. Here I have the perfect reason for all that effort.

Lilian Yvette Brooks @NessieAlways

Cute chick. But a future shrink. Yuck by default. Raise defenses. Last thing we want is another shrink trying to get us to talk about mommy and daddy. Oh yay! I better hide the foam hammer. She might actually know what that’s for. Fixing slow laptops!

Rebekah Quincy Donovan @NessieAlways

Cute. Sigh … Communications major conjures up the notion of a girl that talks .. and talks … and talks … And she had a rat on steroids for a pet. Yay. Not that I should talk. When I was 4 I had a Chick-A-Whoyah named Bambi. Only pet I ever had, come to think of it. Do Venus Fly Traps count? Dead tadpoles? Dead turtles? Dead tarantulas, black widows, widowmakers? Oh wait. Sally the Salamander survived. And there was the horned toad. Where was I? Oh yeah. Girl. Haven’t really got her figured out.

Alex Johnson @RubyRose

Crap. Totally cute. Uhm … And she’s cute too. Oh wait, I said that already. She’s too old for me, but give it a decade and … well, it won’t be quite as bad. Do you suppose she’d wait? (Sigh) Probably not. And she’s smart too. Math major. At least she better be a girl. God help me if I am wrong. Wonder if she would be interested in doing some mathematical analysis of music?

Veronica Terri Wings @RubyRose

Great … another future shrink. Danger Will Robinson! My complete and utter opposite. Only thing going for her are the drums. That’s kinda cool. And what’s with all the purple? Well … it does seem to suit her. Wouldn’t catch me dead looking like that.

Xavier Ford @Xeyran

Trouble on two legs. If he so much as looks at me wrong, so help me. Well, I have never started a fight; but I have never lost one either. What is it with gangs and friggin’ tattooes? Do they really think they make them look tougher? Keep it together Duncan. He’s in OOO and college. Give him the benefit of the doubt. If Finn trusted the guy … who knows what that means. Maybe the tats are a phase.

Evan Bentley @MidnightAnew

Hard to figure this one out. Practically a drone. Not really sure why he is in OOO. Hmm, maybe same sort of reason I am? Or maybe he feels like he doesn’t fit in anywhere else, but wants to fit in somewhere. Good enough reason.

Isabella Alderman @MidnightAnew

Okay … welcome to Planet Earth. Art majors. Don’t judge. Don’t judge. If you research IQ, some of the smartest people in history were artists. (Looks at Izzy). But the reverse does NOT hold true. She smokes. Yuck. And that random dancing. What is up with that? Like I said, welcome to Planet Earth. (Paints on a smile… Be nice Duncan.) Let’s just hope she doesn’t ask me to be an art critic.

Edena "Eddie" Jones @CheshireKittenWill

The token drama queen! Okay … Drama major. We’ll cross paths in classes, especially if anyone wants to do a musical. Cancer will be a subject that will connect these two. Duncan’s foster mother wouldn’t approve as she doesn’t like Duncan involved with anything negative.
