Carmen woke up by the sound of her phone alarm going off. Taking an annoyed sigh, Carmen sat up and wrapped a sheet around her, completely taking the sheet off the bed, thankfully there was another blanket for her lover of the night. He did seem a bit over aged for her... But honestly, she wasn't the one who was gonna get in trouble for it... (As far as she knows).
Carmen turned off her alarm and opened her curtains to her window, seeing the beautiful view of her backyard. Sadly, which is never really used. She flicked the guy on the head and he quickly woke up, "Good, now leave." Carmen blew a kiss and pointed the door. When the man wouldn't leave, Carmen threatened to call the cops and he left faster than a plane.
Carmen rolled her eyes and slammed her bedroom door shut. Quickly, she hopped in and out of the shower, got changed into her floral dress since it was the beginning of a new school year and she wanted to look her best. Now, not for boys (maybe just a bit), but also for herself.
Carmen kept her hair straight and headed off to school
***
Once at school she headed to her locker, got her things, then headed to the courtyard where she sat down and pulled out her flask and took a long sip as she watched the students walk around.
Hearing his brother screaming down the hall, Ben rolled out of bed and yawned, hopping into the shower. He hoped that the warm water trickling down his chest would wake him up, but it didn't work. Not at all. He further wished he was laying in bed under the covers. He groaned as he got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around his waist. Hoping he wouldn't run into any of his brother, Ben ran down his hallway and grabbed an apple. Suddenly, he felt something "whoosh" from underneath him and he noticed that his towel was gone. "Fuck you guys!" He screamed, as he ran upstairs as fast as he could, slamming the door behind him.
Ben took a quick bite of his apple before throwing on some clothes and heading to his car. He had to get to school.
As he arrived at school, Ben roamed the hallway, acting like he owned the place. He ran around, slipping some dead fish he had in his backpack into the little slits in the locker doors. He chuckled as he imagined the peoples' faces. After going to his locker, Ben headed outside to get a breath of fresh air before going to the courtyard of the school and lighting a quick cigarette. He needed it to get through the day.
Kaitlin woke up to her alarm blaring at 4:30 in the morning and sighed annoyedly, slapping it off. She knew she had to get up if she wanted to 1. curl her hair 2. perfect her makeup and 3. pick the 'perfect' outfit for the day, but that didn't mean she wanted to. She sat up and rubbed at her eyes, getting up still half-asleep and making her way into and out of the shower. Once she was a bit more awake, she began curling her hair at the same time as brushing her teeth. Once she was done she started on her makeup. It took all the way until an hour before she was suppost to leave to get it 'perfected'. She threw on her white jumper and platform sandals and grabbed her purse. She left all of her school supplies at school daily so that she didn't look weird carrying them around. She looked in her full body mirror and nodded contemptibly. This look immediately deteriorated as she glanced at the clock.
Her face dropped as she realized she was going to be late if she didn't leave right then. She rushed out of the house, pulling her car keys out of her purse, and opening the driver's side door of her bright pink '67 mustang. She turned the key, igniting the engine and basically put her foot to the floor until she was out of the speed limit-less driveway of her house. She slowed to just above the speed limit and got to the school just in time to be early. She knew it sounded weird, but if she wasn't early, she couldn't be seen by people as this 'perfect girl' that she pretended to be. She parked her car and got out, locking the car, feeling a bit redundant since it was a convertible, but still doing it. She walked up to the school and looked around. There were a few people there already, but no one she tended to hang around normally. She sat down at one of the tables in front of the school and pulled out her phone, finding already nearly twenty text messages from her 'friends'.
It was 4:30 in the morning of the first day of school. Paul's alarm went off, and he was already half awake. He always woke up early on the weekdays. Paul had his own bathroom in the house, so he made his way into there. Taking a long look at himself in the mirror while the hot water was running, he touched up his beard and got in. Once he was finished he got out and wrapped a towel around his waist and made his way back to his room. Paul slipped on his boxer briefs and jeans with a white belt. "Now what shirt to wear." He said to himself sarcastically as his wardrobe wasn't very extensive. He put on a white tshirt and and sprayed himself with his cologne. His blond hair slicked back, he grabbed his phone, car keys, wallet and school bag. Paul walked down to the kitchen and grabbed a Monster and left the house. "Good morning Layla." Paul said to his car. His only love. He opened the garage and pushed the clutch in and started it. The beautiful sound of dual straight pipes on his modified WRX STI echoed in the garage and neighborhood as he backed out. At this time it was only 5:30am so Paul had plenty of time. He shifted into first and made his way towards the back roads to school. This was why he was always up early; empty roads, no cops, just him and Layla. The turbo could be heard echoing through the backroads as he drove. Speeding up and making sure all was in working order. He always was tinkering with the car.
The sun was up now so Paul was done having fun. He decided to make his way to school. Pulling into the parking lot he always shifted down to neutral and revved. He was known for having one of the nicest, fastest cars on campus. A true tuner car properly done. Paul parked in the back of the school near the automotive class. "Morning." He said to some of his friends that were there already. "Yeah, just added the straight pipes the other week." He added laughing. Paul worked his through the school to the cafeteria to grab a milk. He took a seat at the table and pulled his phone out to look at his Instagram.
Evelyn woke up happily, turning off her alarm that went off at 5:00 am. She sighed as she got out of bed, and went to ask what was for breakfast, but then she remembered, she was responsible for that. "Well," She yawned, "I suppose a bowl of fruit will do." She spoke to herself as she turned on the radio and listened to some classical music as she strolled around her garden, picking strawberries and blueberries. Every once in a while she'd pop one in. "Yummy." She closed her eyes and let the taste of the fruit venture through her taste buds. Gardening and eating put her in the best mood. After picking all of what she wanted to eat, Evelyn put the fruit in a little container and put it in the fridge.
She went upstairs and quickly put on some short shorts and a beautiful flower tank top, along with her flower crown of course. Her hair was naturally wavy, so she let it be and grabbed her food as she headed out the door. She put her bag and fruit in the basket of her little bike and rode to school.
She arrived and went to her locker. Stopping at a table, she saw one of the most popular girls in school, Kaitlin, sitting there. She decided to try to be nice and say hello. "Hi, Kaitlin." Evelyn smiled as she gave her a flower. "I found this in my bike." Evelyn smiled as she twirled her hair and looked at the ceiling. She was in a great mood today, thank god. Being in a good mood for the first day of school is always promising.
She looked up from her phone confused for a moment at the person standing near her. Not many people were daring enough to talk to her if they weren't her friends, since many were scared of her. The girl handed her a flower and Kaitlin put down her phone, figuring no one was really watching them, and her 'friends' weren't there yet. She could act herself for a little while.
"Uh, thanks Evelyn," she said, spinning it slightly in-between her pointer finger and thumb of her left hand. It really was a pretty flower, a nice shade of light yellow. She guessed that it was a daisy, a rather happy flower in her opinion.
"You seem in a good mood," she commented, hoping to start a conversation for a moment. She spotted one of there 'friends' red VW Bug pull into the parking lot and groaned internally, dropping into her normal faked "mean girl" status.
"What, already drugged up for the day?" she said, standing, still stashing the flower into her bag. She smiled briefly and sarcastically before walking off to the girl with too-long nails and perfect-looking outfit and hair that climbed out of the bug. The girl squealed in a rather annoying way and hugged Kaitlin before the two of them walked to the stairs of the school, walking inside and sitting down in the cafeteria at the always reserved "popular table". They started to chat in the stereotypical way of the "queens of the school". Throwing in a "like" between nearly every word and talking in a nearly un-understandible way to most every person.
Noah woke up to Cat (the cat) playing with the ends of his blanket, "Oh my god, Cat, you need to learn to be respectful." Noah hopped out of bed and kicked on his slippers, "Because you aren't a very nice feline..." The dirty blonde boy walked over to his closet and pulled out his clothes, "I get it, you wish to die from being in such pain and agony of your old lonesome soul and decide to take it out on me." Noah walked over tot he feisty cat and poked his nose, "The only thing is, my parents won't let me take you to the vet and let you peacefully fall asleep... Forever." Noah tried to kiss the top of Cat's head but ended up being scratched on the tip of his nose, "Ow!" He yelped and held onto his nose, already smelling the metallic smell of the blood dripping down his nose.
***
Once Noah patched up his little boo boo Cat so rudely gave him, Noah headed off to school. His car smelled of peppermint. A nice refreshing smell in the morning. Onto his first day of school, which had to be exciting, yet dreadful.
***
Noah didn't get a chance to have breakfast from running a bit late. So, Noah headed over to the cafeteria where he saw two of his many female crushes in this school. Evelyn and Kaitlin. They were so different yet so beautiful.
Since Noah was in a chirpy good ole mood today, Noah decided to walk up to the two young ladies and glance down at the beautiful flower, "Ah yes a flower. Fun fact, in the 17th century, tulips were more valuable than gold?" Noah laughed awkwardly and messed with his hair, "It resembled life and love." Noah smirked, proud at himself for knowing that.
Suddenly Kaitlin stormed off and was left with Evelyn, "Well, I guess she isn't any kind of a daisy." @Smoaki@floridakilos
Evelyn watched at Kaitlin enjoyed the flower, but then of course made a comment about her drugs. Why did everyone need to be in her business? She felt her good mood slightly get saddened by the comment but she tried to just ignore it. She looked over at the boy that had approached her and Kaitlin and she smiled. "Oh, really?" She pretended to be interested. She knew the boy, his name was Noah. He had approached multiple girls in the school on different occasions.
"Good to know." Evelyn continued smiling. She lightly giggled at his awkwardness and let it be. She liked him as a friend and didn't really think anything more of him than that. She wasn't sure about what he thought of her, but she had the feeling he had a crush on her.
She pat his head softly and picked up her bag. "I'm going to head out to the courtyard, care to join?" Evelyn moved hair out of her face gently as she felt herself crave a cigarette.
As she left, she noticed Noah walk over and couldn't help but glance over in his and Evelyn's direction while her friend rambled about some first-world-problem. She admitted, she'd had a crush on him for a while, but how could that ever play out? The queen of the school having a crush on one of its most prominent nerds. Definitely not. Apparently she'd stared for too long because she noticed a hand waving in front of her face suddenly and she turned back to her friend.
"Katie are you even listening to me?" her friend complained, whining a bit about such a simple thing.
"Of course I am Tia," she responded, easily returning back to acting as if she didn't care about anything but being a rich bitch. She wasn't sure she could keep this act up another year even, not to mention another four after that at the college everyone was going to. She wished she could just drop the act, but how she knew her parents and 'friends' would react stopped her every time.
She hated mornings. She hated driving in the mornings. She hated the hangover she usually had in the mornings. She just didn't like mornings. Nights were better. Much better. "See ya," she nudged her dazed and oddly quiet younger brother before getting out of the car.
When he offered no response, she shrugged and wandered away. She hated school. And most of the people. The boys were cute though. She slept with him and her and him and- Ooh, she hadn't slept with him yet. She stuck out her tongue and leaned back against the wall as she studied the specimen in front of her. She liked to try new things... His name was Alec... Something... "Mmhmm," she bit her lip. "I'd like a bite of that."
She laughed at herself and shook her head. She'd make her way to him eventually. She combed a hand through her newly dyed silver hair. She made her way to all of them eventually.

. What if they all found out? Josiah touched his lips again as he sat in his sister's car. Lonnie had already vanished to who knows where, leaving him alone in the beat up Sedan. Everyone probably knows. He stared at the crowd of students, secretly wishing to see one face and only one face, but Luke Michaels face was nowhere to be seen. He traced the outline of his lips once again and a small panic seized his chest as he stared at himself in the mirror. What if Luke tried to talk to him? What if everyone did know? He sighed and dropped his head onto the dash.
Luke probably didn't remember and nobody could possibly know. He was getting worked up about nothing. He slipped out of the car and walked over to join some of his JV football buddies from the previous year, silent as the grave and still as the stars.

. She was up before the birds in the trees and the sun in the sky. Her parents questioned it in the beginning, but they soon came to accept the fact that Maribel Ashwood was just an early riser. Secretly, she just liked watching the sunrise. She listened to one of her favorite soundtracks as she got dressed, debating whether or not to put her long blonde hair up. She stared at her "outfit of the day", an Ariel inspired selection,in the mirror. The longer she stared at it, the more she started to change her mind.
Maribel knew it was weird. She was fifteen and she was still obsessed with Disney; not in a "teenager that happens to wear Disney shirts every once in awhile" way. She was obsessed with Disney and princesses and "true love" in a "I'm a happy-go-lucky six year old" way.
"Mari!"
Maribel's thoughts vanished from her mind as she grabbed her sparkly pink backpack off of her white vanity chair. "Coming, Mom!"
She glanced at herself one more time in her full-sized mirror and, at the last minute, tied her hair into two pigtails. She bounced down the stairs and into the car in record time. "Cute dress," her mother commented before they were off to school. She hurried inside, keeping her head down and her nose out of people's business as she raced to her locker.

. She decided a long time ago that "athletic" didn't equal "ugly". As she combed back her short black hair and smiled in the visor's mirror, she knew she had made the right decision. The new length suited her. She fluffed it a bit, admiring herself and her beauty. She couldn't wait to show her friends. They hadn't seen the new haircut yet and she was anxious to know what they thought. She gnawed on her lip. What if they didn't like it?
Ebony sighed as she carefully applied her favorite lip gloss, "Oh well, no going back now."
She reached over to the passenger side of her brand new steel gray Camaro {before registration, she insisted that she needed a new car} and grabbed the pair of flats resting next to her bag. She hated wearing flats when she drove; they restricted so much of her driving ability. She loved going fast, stopping on a dime, and speeding around corners. It was all part of the thrill.
She pulled off her Converse, tossing them into the back as she slipped her new flats on and exited the car. People were already admiring her car from afar and she inwardly grinned. However, her face showed almost no emotion as strutted into the school.
@Smoaki , I did see your post. AWEEE LOVE IS IN THE AIR!!! But, since I don't know how to interact with you at the moment, I just let Noah do his Noah things ^^)
Noah put his hands in his pockets and blushed. Noah's wide eyes then widened. She wanted to go to the courtyard with...Him... That was like a big step up on his game... But he couldn't. There was so much of the world to discover... But he wanted to be with someone so badly. I mean he literally is probably the only teenage boy in this school who hasn't been laid.
Getting too much into his thoughts, Noah took a step back and averted his eyes to the nearest exit, "I'ma... Uhm... Just..." Noah then quickly ran out of the lunch room and into the hallway. He then accidentally bumped into a girl and looked down at her. She seemed familiar, definitely a girl in his classes, but she'd always stayed to the back and barely anyone knew her name.
Smiling down at her he stepped aside, "In a rush?"
(You're alright, wasn't expecting a response, but this could be the beginning of a beautifully dramatic love... or at least some drama)
She noticed Ebony walking in her and her friend's direction and waved a bit over dramatically, smiling at the girl and flicking her hair over her shoulder.
"Hey Ebony, love the new hair," she commented, gesturing for the girl to sit down with them. Their group was definitely the type to be called "the plastics" in the movies. Although, their group tended to be larger than the three people you'd see in movies, and often included a few boys from the sports teams, a few cheerleaders, a few queen bees like herself, and a few more interesting people like Ebony whom played soccer.
(Also, I changed the post from earlier, they're not going to be sitting on the stairs, they'll be sitting in the cafeteria at a table that they usually sit at, the "popular table")
Evelyn smiled at Noah and let him run off, anxious. She made her way down to the courtyard and spotted Carmen sitting. "Hey, Car." She smiled slightly. She took out a blunt and lit it, smoking it slowly. "There's like, no security in this school." She laughed. "I mean seriously, every kid here is smoking or drinking, and e never get caught." Evelyn chuckled as she took out her fruit and ate it. She felt bad for eating the fruit, because they were living plants, but she needed to live. She inhaled the smoke and exhaled softly, letting the fumes take over her body for a moment. Ignoring everything, Evelyn stood up and started spinning in circles around the flowered trees. She hung her head back and let the petals land in her hair. She felt like one with nature. She laid in the grass and laughed as she smelled it, playing with one specific large flower petal that landed on her.
Carmen was just about to put away her flask when Carmen heard a familiar voice and smiled, seeing it was Evelyn. She smiled and nodded in agreement while Evelyn was doing her thing, "Yeah the security really does suck..." Carmen said with a light laugh and ran her fingers through her hair as she sat on the grass next to Evelyn, taking out tiny pieces of petals out of her hair.
Carmen took the blunt from her and let out a circular puff of smoke.
It was so calming. Carmen laid her head next to Evelyn and looked up at the clouds, "Ugh, I need this day to be over." Carmen closed her eyes and let the warmth touch her soft skin.
"Come on," Sally heard as a hand touched her shoulder and started shaking her as she laid face down on her bed. "Time for school, up and at'em sunshine." She simply groaned at her father, having no interest in actually waking up. Frankly the idea of going to school sounded awful after the 'Last Day of Summer' party that she had been to last night. Still, she knew from past experience that her dad could shake her shoulder and tell her to get up for a very long time, and that eventually he'd leave and come back with a bucket of cold water, so she sighed and rolled over. "'M up," she said, grouchily.
Once her dad left the room she climbed out of bed and went to her en-suite bathroom where she started the long process of getting ready for the day. When she finally came out she picked out her outfit, a really cute white summer dress with a flowery lace pattern over her midriff and her favorite pair of cowboy boots. She smiled at herself in the mirror, doing a little dance as she admired how she looked, before heading downstairs for breakfast. As always on the first day of school, her mother had made her a big meal, with bacon, eggs, grapefruit, and orange juice. When she was done eating, Sally hugged her parents and said goodbye before hoping in her jeep and speeding off to school, blasting Blake Shelton the whole time.
When she pulled into the school she jumped out of her car and locked it, quickly making her way to the courtyard to hang out before classes started.
Cupping a hand over the torched cigarette placed between his pale lips, Axel shoved his lighter into the depths of his black jeans. He stared busily to the numerous amount of students, however, he remained on the sidelines, his back pressed against the wood of a tree, his dark brows furrowed. This school was merely a mystery to him; the teachers and students inside, all pretending to be worried about their education, when in actuality, you'll see about a thousand students skipping just one period. Please, you could've fooled him, but the again, no one can.
Raking his rough fingers back through his gelled hair, the boy drew the cigarette out from his lips and blew out a cloud of smoke. He'd learnt to only smoke a cigarette on the premises, but drugs? Ah, he saved that for after, especially since if he gets caught stoned in a lesson again, a phone call to his parents would be the one to ruin him. Although, other times the goal would be to just sit in the back corner of the room and pretend like you didn't exist, which to others, yes, wasn't a problem, but for Axel, yes. He always seemed to be late for his classes, and some other damned stoner would beat him to that special corner.
.
Maribel was forced to stop when she ran into a {rather tall} force of nature. She stared up at the boy, blinking at him curiously through her glasses. She had several classes with him, being mostly in classes above her own grade {with only English in the "sophomore" category}, but she'd never spoken to him. She didn't speak to anyone, really. She shook her head when she realized he asked her a question, "I'm sorry for, um, running into... you," she drifted off and anxiously adjusted her backpack. Most people introduced themselves, right? "I'm Maribel," she exclaimed suddenly, sticking her hand out as a blush crawled up her neck and to her cheeks.

. Good. Good. If Katie liked it, it couldn't be that bad, right? Right? Right. She looked at the blonde in front of her for a second, remembering that Kaitlin was the reason she started going by "Ebony". Sure, it sounded pretty and unique, but she also didn't want to be confused with her friend. After the suggestion, it just kind of stuck. At least, that's what she assumed. "Thanks," she told Katie as she sat down. "What're we talking about?"

Sticky woke up on his drum set, and he was confused. How did that happen? He never falls asleep while playing. At least, he hasn't for quite some time. He really must be lacking sleep if he's passing out over his drum set. His drums were in the garage, because his brothers would beat the crap out of him if he played inside. He must have been up all night. Sticky sat up, looking out the window. "Shit." He whispered, jumping out of the chair and running inside. He was late. Of course he was late. When isn't he late? People must think he's some kind of stoner with how tardy he is.
The drummer sprinted up to his bedroom, which he shared with his eldest brother, and quickly sorted through his closet. He settled on a white shirt and black jeans, an easy and classic outfit that he wore almost every day. Sticky also threw on a black leather jacket, one that he inherited from his other brother after he went off to college. Though his hair was a mess, Sticky didn't brush it. He did brush his teeth, but only so that his breath didn't smell terrible all day. The drummer then ran back to the garage, grabbed his backpack and his skateboard, and left for school.
******
Sticky got off his skateboard before getting on school grounds. He'd gotten in trouble for skating on school premises before, and he's not looking for a repeat of that conversation with his mom. He walked into school with his head down, suddenly wishing he had combed his hair. It looked awful. He went straight to his locker, knowing that he kept a comb in there for this very reason. When he opened it, he was met with a dead fish.
The fish landed at Sticky's feet and he just found himself staring at it. He didn't quite know how to react. A few seconds pass before a small smile found his way to his lips. "Hey there, fishy." He murmured, picking the slimy specimen up. "You're a long way from the ocean." Sticky looked around him for the nearest trash can. Courtyard. He closed his locker and picked up his bag, walking into the courtyard to throw away the fish. Sticky looked around for a moment, noticing a few familiar faces before seeing Ben.
Sticky blushed and looked away quickly, hoping Ben didn't see him. As much as Sticky liked Ben, he never actually worked up the courage to speak to him. Today didn't feel like a day for Sticky to be brave. So Sticky quickly turned away, busying himself with the laces of his shoes.
Garrett had woken at 5 am, which was a normal time for him, he likes to get in some workout time in before getting ready for school. He wasn't able to get equipment in the basement, his grandmother really didn't want it in her house. So he grabbed his book bag, gym bag, and his bag for practice later. He quietly made himself a protein shake and grabbed an apple of the counter and grabbed his truck keys and walked out. He drove to the gym a few miles from the school, he left his book bag in the back and grabbed his gym bag and walked in. He moved around the gym, starting out with a quick cardio workout, then moved into the weight room.
He spent about an hour and a half in the gym, he knew it wouldn't take long to take a shower and go to school. So he showered and put on a somewhat nice outfit and packed everything up and left. It only took him a few minutes to get to the school. He parked his truck in the usual spot and grabbed his practice bag and book bag. He made his way to the locker room, he noticed a few other guys in there, mainly from the soccer team, he placed his bag in the tall varsity locker. He noticed he still had time to relax before class. He made his way outside to where most of the students would hang out before class. He sat at one of the table and looked around for some of his friends.
Ben continued smoking watching the girls lay in the grass and smiled. Afterwards, he saw Sticky look at him and then play with his shoe laces. Ben always questioned his sexuality, he never understood what he really stood as. He said he was straight, but maybe he's wrong. He was up for experimenting, but he was afraid what would result from it. "Hey, you smoke?" He yelled out to Sticky, hoping he would come over o they could talk a little. Ben wanted to get to know him. "If not, I'm about done. Wait up!"
Noah smiled and shook his head, "Nah, its fine... I was rushing a bit too. I'm terrible when it comes to walking." Noah shrugged and laughed, "Look at me, I'm like a giraffe." Despite getting all awkward and tense around Evelyn. He quickly shifted out of that mode. It was hard for him to talk to people out of his league... And literally everyone was out of his league. Even this girl looking up at him with a cute little blush of awkwardness on her face. But, somehow Noah is able to manage. Maybe it was that this girl didn't seem like one to judge so he supposed that it'd be okay to be himself around her.
Noah gladly took her hand and shook it lightly. Maribel... That was such a elegant name in his eyes.
"Well, Maribel, I'm so sorry for bumping into you." Noah ran his fingers through his ruffled up hair, "My name is Noah Reece Anderson... But thats just my full name... Haha." Noah jokingly poked her shoulder, "Just call me Noah."
"What happened to romance?" She asked out loud. "What happened to guys holding doors for girls, and complimenting them. What happened to guys bringing flowers to our doorstep? I miss it." She blurted out. She angrily took her blunt back, "Get your own." She teased. "But seriously this is my last one." She felt herself get nervous after saying it. "Dammit." She sighed, sitting up. "I need to go get more." She grabbed her things and ran back into the school, going to her locker and rummaging through it, hoping to find a another one. Unfortunately, after searching and searching, she couldn't find one. The one she just smoked was her emergency one and she was out. She had to wait three days for the supplies she ordered online so she could make her own.
