The Final Witness
[Just to clarify. Italic text within quotation marks will be the characters thoughts. Normal text between quotation marks will be what the character is saying.]

The sound of an alarm slowly becomes louder and louder as Ayaka wakes up and opens her eyes. "It's 7am already" Ayaka sighs and gets out of bed, gets her clothes on and walks downstairs. As she reaches the bottom of the staircase she looks around the living room "no one is awake yet.". As she yawns she goes to the fridge to get some breakfast. She grabs a pack of milk from the door of the fridge, opens it and takes a swig. She puts it back and goes back upstairs to get ready for school.

"Right on time." Ayaka walks in the classroom to find most of her classmates sitting at their desk waiting for the teacher. As Ayaka reaches her desk in the back near the window and puts her bag on the floor, the teacher walks in with someone never before seen in the school. As the students notice the new girl one by one, the class gets quieter and quieter. The teacher stands at the front of the class and all the students quietly sit down behind their desks. The teacher announces that there will be a new classmate joining the class and leaves the introduction to the girl. Ayaka looks over the new girl, staring a little in the new girls eyes. "She's pretty." Ayaka looks at her desk and then to the desk next to her which is vacant.

The first ring of the alarm is enough to rouse Vilasini from her deep slumber. "Damn. It's 6am; Way too early for me to be awake." Today was Vilasini's first day at that new school; she couldn't remember the actual name of the school but names are irrelevant. "I wonder what this new school will be like?" Changed and ready for school, she headed down towards the kitchen. No one was up yet, except for her cat, Morti. Leaning down and placing a kiss upon Morti's nose, Vilasini grabbed some money from the bench-top and headed off towards her new school, bidding goodbye to the silent house.

The school itself was gigantic, students were mingling around; trying to squeeze as much socializing as they could before they had to start their classes. "I do hope these people are interesting," Vilasini pondered. The bell signaling the start of classes disrupted her thoughts. Having memorized all the classrooms that concerned her, Vilasini head off towards the reception.

The old lady at the reception had been kind enough to hand Vilasini her timetable and direct her towards her first class. While walking towards her first class, she realized that somebody else was walking in the same direction.

"Excuse me Sir, are you perhaps the teacher of 2A? Because if you are, I am Mizushima Vilasini; the new transfer student." Vilasini informed.

"Yes I am. I am Haruto-Sensei, it's a pleasure to meet you, Mizushima-san."

Teacher and student both made small talk until they arrived at class. Upon entering, Haruto-Sensei, announced to the class that they had a new transfer student and then ushered Vilasini in. As the chattering of the students died down, Vilasini stepped in front of the class and began her introduction.

"Nice to meet you. I am Mizushima Vilasini but I'd prefer it if you call me by given name or my nickname, Vila. I'm 17 years old and as you can probably realize, I am not Japanese. I was born in Sri Lanka and was adopted by my current parents. I transferred to this school because of my parents work. Please take care of me."

Scanning the crowd, Vila takes several mental notes of her classmates and just when she was about to turn her attention towards Haruka-Sensei, a certain pair of eyes capture her attention. Noticing the vacant seat besides that girl Vila's a grin appears on her face. "Looks like this year won't be boring. This is going to be fun~"

"
Mizushima-san, take the seat next to Astrojvy-san, if you don't mind."

Sure thing, Sensei~"

As Ayaka's eyes meets those of Mizushima she gives a smile before turning her attention to the board. As class progresses slowly Ayaka keeps glancing at Mizushima next to her. "All the way from Sri Lanka to here, she must have gone through a lot". Since Ayaka came from White-Russia she knew how it can be to travel very long distances. The thoughts keep ringing in her head. "I came here with my parents but what happened to hers?" Lost in thought Ayaka zoned out thinking about the new classmate.

The bell rang, echoing over the entire campus. The sound of the bell came as a surprise and snapped Ayaka out of it. She looked around the classroom to figure out what was happening and quickly came to the conclusion that it was lunch break. Her gaze around the class stopped at the desk next to her. Ayaka looked at Mizushima, overflowing with questions, she opened her mouth but no words came out. All the questions she had yet she was too shy to ask them just outright. In a bit of a panic she faked a yawn, got up from her desk and walked out the classroom.

"Astrojvy-san" Haruto-Sensei called out. Ayaka turned around and saw Haruto standing with his arms crossed and a frown on his face. "You've been slacking off more than usual these past weeks. Don't think i didn't see you day dreaming again today." "But Sensei." Ayaka whined. "I can't help it. A lot has been happening lately." Ayaka sighed out and looked away from Haruto. "If something is bothering you then you know who you should ask for help, you have a counselor for a reason." Haruto said in a mildly scolding way. "Well, go have your lunch now.". Ayaka didn't need to hear that twice and walked off to the staircase, looking at the key in her hand she took from Haruto's keychain on his belt.

Ayaka opened the door to the roof and left it just slightly open. She came to the roof ever since she was first accepted into the school. Something about heights and the wind made her feel calm. But not now. She kicked the railing and stomped on the ground in anger. "Stupid Haruto! I can take care of myself! i don't need you looking over my shoulder every second of my life!" She said to herself.

Ayaka climbed up on the railing and looked down at the students mingling on the school grounds, 4 stories down.

"I wonder if it would hurt..."

"Astrojvy-san, jumping off would be awfully painful" Vila exclaimed, appearing from the entrance of the door way. Seeing the other girl's eyes widen ever so lightly, Vila decided to explain, "It seemed as if you wanted to ask me some questions but for some reason you left. When the bell rang everyone else fired questions at me but after I answered them they left me alone. So I decided I would follow you here. One question... How did you come here, I believe that this door was locked?" "I wonder what she's going to say?" "Nonetheless, Astrojvy-san, could you please tell me what are the clubs here? I heard that it was compulsory to join one and Haruka-Sensei told me to ask you," Vila said.

Startled by the sudden voice behind her Aya turned to the direction where the voice came from and saw Mizushima standing in the doorway. "She followed me?" Aya jumped down the railing back on the roof and faced Mizushima. "I found the key.. over there." She points to a little doorstop mounted on the wall in the small hall. "Yikes! I hope she believes me. That was bad even for your standards." Ayaka holds her hands behind her back and kicks a small pebble. "Clubs huh? There are so many. Literature club, music club there is even a manga club believe it or not." Aya walks back to the railing and leans over it trying to act as cool as she can. "I left because i didn't want to bother you on your first day.. It must be trouble some. Everyone asking so much." "I hated it" Aya whispers to herself.

Unsure of what to do next Ayaka turned to face Mizushima again and slowly walked towards her. "Hey Aya what are you doing?! Stop stop stop what are you thinking?!?!" Ayaka felt uneasy and couldn't muster any more words. She never had such 'easy' conversation with someone for the past year almost. She walked past Mizushima with a expressionless face. "Why did you follow..me?" She muttered before running down the stairs in the direction of class 2-A.

"No..."

"That was... interesting. Funny how she answered my question about the key; isn't that unusual for someone to leave a key in such a public space?. But Astrojvy has no reason to lie to me," Vila wondered, having decided to go to her classes a bit early in case she got late. "I should do something about clubs, I wonder if there's a chess club?" Walking up to a third-year, "Excuse me Senpai, I was wondering if there was a chess club here and where would I go if I wanted to sign up?" The kindly third-year gave her instructions on how to apply for the club and with that Vila headed off towards her next class.

On the way to her next class, Vila saw Astrojvy talking to a brown haired boy of tall stature, "I wonder who he is?" but before she could confront them, the bell rang, signalling the end of break. Rushing into class with a horde of students, Vila took a seat and waited for class to start. When the Sensei walked in and called the roll, Astrojvy was absent. "Where is she?"

While on her way back to the class, Aya got stopped by a brown haired boy. He was about the only one that was close to Ayaka. Sato Nakahara was his name. "Astrojvy-san." Sato called out. Another voice called Aya's name. This one being more familiar. "I've told you before you can call..." Sato stopped Ayaka mid sentence and looked at her with a very worried expression. "Your parents..do they still drive that old Toyota?" He asked. Aya nodded and got more worried by the tone of voice sato had taken. "I uhm..I saw their car get broadsided by another car. I stayed and looked but i..." Sato stopped there as he was sure Ayaka got the message already. "You've also known for a while now that this my last day here, i'm moving away in a couple days." This wasn't a surprise to Aya but the attempt to change the subject failed miserably. Depressing Aya even more.

As expected, Ayaka wore an expressionless face as she heard the news. Before she could muster anything to say, the voice of the principal came over the loud speaker in the entire school. The whole school kind of stopped as it was very unusual for the principal himself to call in students. Usually he has someone to do that for him. "Could Astrojvy-san please come to the principal's office. I repeat. Could Astrojvy Ayaka-san please come to the principal's office." The message said.

Still not fully aware what happened, Aya shuffled to the principal's office and knocked on the door before opening it. The principal motioned his hand to sign to take a seat. "Astorjvy-san.." The principal began. "As i'm sure you are aware, it is rare that i personally call in students. But i believe that as head of this school it is my duty to support my students. Putting that aside. I have unfortunately gotten wind of some terrible news." Ayaka's eyes widened as if what she just heard from Sato got confirmed. "I'm afraid your parents are in the hospital. Their condition is critical. The car they were in g..." The principal got interrupted by Aya. "Got broadsided by another car." She filled in, sounding monotone.

Upon hearing the news twice she knew for sure. Her emotions overflowed and she threw up. Falling to the floor she cried loudly. So loud, the principal's assistant could hear the crying trough the supposedly sound-proof door. While class hours continued regularly, Aya stayed in the principal's office for the rest of the day. The principal made it his top priority to have someone to go home with Aya or even let her stay somewhere else for the time being.

At the end of the day Haruto-sensei called the class together and to listen carefully to some news that had come up. "Right 2-A be quiet please. I have some important news regarding Astrojvy-san. Right now Astrojvy-san is going through a very rough time and she will not be able to attend some of our lessons the following days or even weeks. I would appreciate it if some of you could at least try to keep her informed of homework and what we discussed in the lessons. And also to be nice to her. I know you may not know her very well but even then. Our support could help her get through this a lot easier." Haruto stared blankly into the class for a little bit before allowing the students to go home.

"Going through a very hard time."

"Not able to attend some of our lessons in the following days or even weeks."

"Our support could help her get through this a lot easier."

Haruto-Sensei's words kept echoing in her head as Vila walked towards her bus station. Fate, however, just wasn't cooperating with her and Vila managed to miss the bus by a few seconds. "You gotta be kidding! Today was only day one." Vila exclaimed to the skies above. "Okaa-san did tell me to call otou-san if something like this happened." Whipping out her phone Vila tried to call her dad. Tried. Forget Fate not cooperating with her; Fate was now competing against her. Her phone was dead. "...Dead... Astrojvy! Her parents; are they? No! That wouldn't happen. Would it? ...If this is what happened, I don't know what Astrojvy is feeling, to lose people so close to you..."

Vila decided to go to the front office so that she could call her dad using the receptionist's phone. On her way, she bumped into another student. "Excuse me, I'm sorry for bumping into you." Looking at who she bumped into, Vila realized it was the student she had seen Astrojvy with before. "Ano... I saw you with Astrojvy-san earlier today and I wanted to know if you knew what happened to her? This may seem like I'm prying but if you know, please tell me; I just want to be her friend." Vila asked the brunette. "Um... Her parents were in a car crash and now they're in a critical condition. We don't know if they'll be able to get better... I'm sorry but I have to leave now," with that the brunette left.
"Poor Astrojvy-san, at least it's not as bad as I thought but it's still really bad."

Heading into the receptionist's office, Vila asked if she could use the phone to which the receptionist agreed. After calling her dad, he had told her to wait and he would pick her up. After ending the phone call, Vila heard the sounds of subdued sobbing,
"Could it be?" But before she could do any investigating, the receptionist spied her and from then on, until her dad came, seemed intent on keeping her distracted. Whilst reluctantly engaged in conversation with the receptionists, Vila heard the sobs grow weaker and weaker until there were no more sobs. "I'm certain Astrojvy's in there. If she comes out, I can comfort her," Vila believed that Astrojvy would soon come out but before that could happen, her dad came and after thanking the receptionist, both father and daughter left the school. Leaving one heartbroken girl behind.

Forced to make a choice, the principal stopped the receptionist and asked her if she could take in Aya for the night. The receptionist looked past the principal and saw Aya standing behind the principal, holding her arm. Seeing Aya in various states of distress and depression, the receptionist agreed and took Aya home for the night.

Lost in thought, Aya didn't realise anything that was happening around her. She just did what she would normally do mindlessly all the way until the next morning in the principal's office.

The bell went and all the students went about their day as normal. Everyone gather in class for the morning homeroom. For 2-A however, this morning was different. Haruto called for silence in the class. "Alright, everyone please be quiet. The principal is here to announce something about Astrojvy-san." Haruto said. And with that the principal walked in and Ayaka followed him in. "This is more than just embarrassing damnit!". Aya let out a silent sob and didn't look in the class at all. Only at the ground. "Right." The principal started. "As you might have heard, Astrojvy-san is going through some very though times now and she needs a place to stay for the time being. Since she is in this class i hoped that maybe one of her friends could take her in for a little while. Mizushima-san, i was thinking that maybe you could take her in but then i realized that i can't push this on you or anyone for that matter. So if anyone can spare some room then please see me in my office at the end of today." The principal looked at his side and saw Ayaka still staring at the floor. A small tear ran down her cheek. Suddenly the principal's phone ran and he stepped out to take the call, leaving Aya alone in front of the class, silently sobbing. Not a minute passed and the principal was back in the opening of the sliding door. He shook his head and went to take Ayaka back with him to his office. "No...." Ayaka muttered silently in disbelief. Her eyes grew wider and she fell to her knees. Tears streaming down her face before collapsing on the ground.

"No..."

(Principal speaking is in blue [just so it doesn't get confusing])

Watching Ayaka being ushered into the principal's office, Vila couldn't help but wonder what had happened. "Wait. Why do I care? About what the principal said... It would be more advantageous for me if she was living with me; I could get to know her better and then.." Smirking, ever so slightly Vila and the rest of the students, continued on with their classes.

During class, the teacher droning on and on, led Vila to contemplate other matters. "If Ayaka does live with me, it does give me an opportunity to get closer to her but on the other hand; I won't be able to take off this charade. Ugh. Acting friendly, kind and innocent is starting to get on my nerves. I can't wait till this assignment's over and then I can go back to being myself, that is, until another mission. However, I think this would be an opportunity I shouldn't pass up." The bell signaling the end of school was what brought Vila back to the present world. "The principal said to meet him in his office, if I wished to accept his offer. Then that's where I'll go."

Knocking on the principal's door, Vila spotted Ayaka sitting in the Vice-Principal's office. Before she could do anything other than stare, the principal opened the door. "Ah. Mizushima-san, nice to see you here. I assume you're here to accept my request? Oh, please do take a seat," said the principal, gesturing towards an empty chair. Taking a seat, Vila waited for the principal to take a seat himself then decided to enlighten him. "To answer your question, yes. I am able to take Astrojvy-san in. My parents will not mind as our house is very large and spacious. I wish to make Astrojvy-san as comfortable as possible in these times of hardship." "Damn. I'm sugarcoating this so much. But the principal's seems to be lapping up every word." "I'm very glad that you are able to do that. Do I need to contact your parents to see-" "That won't be necessary. I've already contacted my parents and explained the situation to them, and they are completely fine with it." "In that case, would it be a problem if Astrojvy-san started living with you from today onward?" "It is not a problem, principal." "Well then, Astrojvy-san is in the Vice-Principal's room. Please do escort her home and thank you very much for taking on this task." "It's no problem." With that being said, the principal ushered Vila outside.

Knocking once on the Vice-Principal's door, Vila asked, "Astrojvy-san? It's time to go home. You'll be staying with me and my family until needed." Opening the door, Vila was greeted with the sight of Astrojvy.

Upon hearing the door open Ayaka turned her head to look who it was while audibly confused by who entered the room. "Huh?" She quietly muttered. "What's Mizushima doing here?". Still looking at Mizushima-san in utter confusion it became clear Aya had cried moments before the door opened. Her eyes were red and her hands were shaking from stress and despair. "What do you mean, go home? I'll be living with you?". Her eyes grew a little wider as she heard herself say it out loud. "Living with Mizushima-san? But.." "..i can't. How could i be such a burden on you and your family when i barely know you." Confused by the situation, Aya looked away to think.

The principal walked in after making some phone calls with various orphanages and child protective organizations. "Look, Astrojvy-san, let me explain everything that is going to happen from now on." He kneeled down next to her and began his explanation while motioning to Mizushima to come sit next to him to comfort Aya. "I've been on the phone with several organizations that can help you. My only problem is that we have to wait for a spot to open up in an orphanage. This could take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. So therefore i have arranged that you will be staying with the Mizushima family until things get sorted out."

"Orphanage, orphanage, orphanage, orphanage." The principal's words kept floating in Ayaka's mind. Everything was going so fast, she had no time to ever think about what really happened. She looked up and saw the principal looking at her with a concerned look on his face. Aya nodded to something she didn't even understand yet completely. But it didn't matter to her. As long as she could get some peace.

Out of the blue Aya crawled towards Mizushima and hugged her like her life depended on it. Like a scared child clinging to its mother.

Astrojvy hugging her came as quite a shock to Vila. "What the hell..." Vila awkwardly hugged the girl back. "Wait a sec... The principal said something about orphanages? That would mean her parents are dead; that'd explain the situation. I should probably wait a bit until she calms down, then leave." The minutes passed by and as they passed, Astrojvy started to calm down. The principal had left, giving a brief nod to Vila. The vibration of a phone alerted Vila of a text; careful not to disturb the girl, Vila took out her phone and checked it.

'I'm parked in the school's car park. When you're ready, bring your friend with you.

xoxo. Okaa-san'

"Astrojvy-san, it's time to go. My okaa-san is here to pick us up." Astrojvy stayed silent and rose along with Vila, still clinging onto the girl. "I do hope she does let go of me; it's weird when people touch me... Unless they're fighting for their life." Slightly smirking, Vila guided Astrojvy towards the car park.

(sorry for controlling your OC a bit)

Aya got into the car with Mizushima without saying a single word. She sat on the rear seat of the car and leaned against the door staring out of the window. She couldn't think, everything was going too fast for her. But this one moment of peace in the back of the car was enough to calm her down and make her think a little more clearly. "These people, who are they? Oh, it's Mizushima-san. Then..is that her mother?". "Ano.." The sound of Ayaka speaking came as a surprise to everyone in the car. "T-thank you for taking care of me. I don't know where i would be without your help!" In the constricted space of the car, Ayaka attempted a bow to show her gratitude.

With a little more of a smile on her face, Ayaka patiently waited for the car to reach its destination. Every once in a while staring at Mizushima with sparkling eyes. A small fire began burning in Aya's heart but she herself didn't notice it, yet.

(Vila's mum in green)

"Don't worry dear, I hope you do enjoy staying with us, for however long that may be. Please call me Hoshiaka-san or Hoshi-san if you prefer."
Replied Vila's mum. Glancing at Astrojvy, Vila saw the faintest glimpse of a smile on her face. "She seems to be happier?" The rest of the ride went on in silence with the occasional sound of traffic.

When the car pulled to a stop in front of a Japanese styled house, the trio got out. "Astrojvy-san, Vila will show you to your bedroom; you'ill be staying in the guest bedroom. We'll probably need to go back to your house and get the things you'll need but that can be done another day." Taking off their shoes, the three entered the house. "Astrojvy-san, please follow me; I''ll show you your bedroom." Giving a quick tour of the 4 by 2 house, both girls soon found themselves in front of the guest bedroom.

(picture of room)

"This is where your staying. since we've recently moved in, it's not much but we can go shopping and buy something to brighten up this place. I think it'd be best if you had a shower- Ah! You'll need to borrow some of my clothes; I'm pretty sure they'll fit but the size may be slightly off. Just wait here and I'll be back with something." With that said, Vila quickly rushed into her bedroom to get Astrojvy some clothes. "What would she wear? What does she like to wear?" Settling on giving her several sets of clothes, Vila soon found herself in front of Astrojvy once more.

Placing the clothes on the bed, near Astrojvy, Vila announced "I'm sorry to leave you alone but I have training right now and I'll be back by 6:30. If you want you can have a shower and explore the house a bit or just laze around, or if you want, you can come and watch me train; but I don't think that'd be entertaining. Anyway I must be of; if you do want to come, just ask my mum to direct you to the dojo; it's literally a minute's walk away. If you run into any... shady people, just tell them you're my friend. See ya~" And with that Vila headed towards her room.

Changing into her training clothes, Vila headed off to where her mother was; the kitchen. "Okaa-san,I'm heading off~" Pulling her daughter into a hug, Hoshi whispered into Vila's ear, "She's the one, isn't she?" A nod confirmed this statement. "Have fun with her~ Before she's dead." These last words were whispered, and with a smirk growing on her face Vila replied "Of course," and was soon out the door. "I wonder what Astrojvy is going to do? Now that she's walked into the lion's den."

Absolutely bewildered, Aya stood in the doorway of what was just pronounced her new room. The thought of having a room twice the size of her old room for herself was hard to grasp. A couple minutes went by and Ayaka finally stepped in her new room and looked at the clothes Mizushima put on the bed. "These are her clothes...". Her hand slowly reached out to a shirt and stopped short before touching it. "Is this really okay? I guess she did say that i could wear what is here.". Ayaka was so busy picking out something to wear and thinking about if it was alright if she wore them that she didn't hear Vila's mother come up behind her. "Astrojvy-san..was it? Here is a towel if you decide to shower. The shower is down the hall on the left, opposite Vila's room.". And with that the woman disappeared again. "Thank you very much!" Aya said from within the room.

After picking a white tank top and a simple pair of shorts to wear, Aya got up and went to the bathroom. She stopped just before opening the bathroom door and looked at the door opposite her.
"Mizushima's room..I wonder what it's like..". She walked up to the door and laid her hand on the wood. "I mustn't!". With that she turned around and went in the bathroom and locked the door behind her. She slowly took the clothes, that she had been wearing for a couple days, off. Revealing the dragon tattoo on her right shoulder blade. The tattoo was big and it ran down the entire right side of her back, trailing down. She got it as a birthday present from her parents but she never knew what it meant.

The shower sputtered to life and hot water swiftly followed.

The door to the bathroom swung open and a cloud of steam escaped and disappeared as soon as it left. Freshly showered and fresh clothes, Aya felt like she was born anew. Despite all that's happened and all that will happen in the future there was a slight smile on her face as she left the bathroom and went back to her room. Although it was still fairly early in the day, Aya decided to get some sleep since she didn't get much at the receptionist's house. She didn't bother with the sheets or the clothes still on the bed. She left the door and the curtains open and just laid down. It was in mere minutes that she fell asleep.

The tattoo on her back stood out with not a lot covering it up like usual. it never crossed her mind what would happen if someone ever saw it.

(Vila's...friend in orange)

Wiping off the sweat from her brows and draping a towel across her shoulders, Vila proceeded to change her clothes. "Training was as tiring as ever but I have to admit, nothing can beat this feeling of accomplishment." Changing into a pair of black harem pants and a black singlet, taking a glance outside, Vila realized the night would soon be coming. Deciding to throw on a grey hoodie, Vila gathered her duffle bag and went to thank her Sensei. "Doumo arigato, Sensei." Bowing to her martial arts teacher, Vila left the dojo.

Deciding upon jogging home, Vila glanced at her watch. "6:10. Hmm.. I should be home around about 6:15ish. That'll leave me enough time to do my homework and do some extra research~" The sun was now starting to set, basking the trees in a warm array of colors. Staying alert yet still admiring the scenery, Vila increased her speed and was soon approaching her house. The sun had now set, laying a blanket of darkness all over the city. Taking a left turn at an intersection, Vila saw a fleeting shadow heading towards her. Instinctively, Vila pulled out a knife and soon held it at the strangers neck. "Geez - so uptight. Don't get your panties in a knot, it's just me." said the stranger. Taking a proper look at the stranger, Vila realized that this stranger was in fact a friend of sorts, Shiou Akashi. Releasing the pressure of the blade Vila, after a moment of silence, said "...Akashi...You should have known better. Anyway, what are you doing here? Last time I saw you, you were in Osaka; what are you doing here in Tokyo?" "Same as you; I have a... task that needs to be completed. Mind if I come over to your house? I want to see what your house looks like." "I could always send you a photo." "Yeah, but that doesn't give the same impression as experiencing it for yourself." "...Fine... But someone else is staying over at my house and they're not the same us, so try to tone down your insanity." "Aww~ You wound me. And no one could beat you when it comes to being insane." Akashi said, all while grinning, slightly sadistically. The duo soon fell into silence and soon reached the house.

Her mum was in the study room when the duo entered the house. Giving the two a quick nod, Hoshi was soon emerged in whatever she was doing once again. Looking at the clock, "6:25. Meeting Akashi must have slowed me down. I wonder what Astrojvy did? Wait! Why am I interested in what she did. Is it-" Her musings were interrupted by the lack or presence, specifically Akashi's presence. "Damn him! He must have gone to investigate. S**t! What if he went into Astrojvy's room?" Rushing to Astrojvy's room, Vila was met with the sight of a gaping Akashi standing outside of Astrojvy's room. "Why's he standing there, gaping like a goldfish?" Pushing him aside and peering into the room, Vila's eyes first attached themselves to a majestic dragon. It was a few seconds later that Vila realized that this dragon was attached to skin. Astrojvy's skin. "ASTROJVY!"

(Ayaka's childhood friend in Pink)

Mizushima's scream awakened Aya from her deep sleep. Almost instinctively she sat up straight in bed and held her hands high as if she was being held at gunpoint. "Pozhaluysta,ne strelyayte!" She yelled in Russian before realizing the actual situation she was in. Aya turned her head to the duo standing in the doorway completely baffled. Having just woken up literally seconds ago, it took a while before she realized they saw the tattoo. It hit her. In a moment of panic she grabbed the blanket in an attempt to cover herself but she knew it wouldn't make any difference.

She got up from the bed and straightened her shirt and shorts before making a deep bow in apologies to Mizushima. "I'm sorry, i should have been more organized. Also..sorry for this..." As she said it she pointed towards the dragon on her back. "I thought it maybe offended you so i didn't tell you, or anyone. I mean.. it would be pretty weird for a school girl to have such a thing on her back.." She scratched her neck and let out a few awkward chuckles before meeting the eyes of Mizushima and falling silent. Her eyes locked the mesmerizing dark brown eyes of Mizushima, The moment seemed to last forever but was abruptly interrupted an odd sound. A very odd tone, not one that someone would associate with a phone. Except Ayaka. She recognized the sound and went searching through her school uniform for the ringing phone.

She pulled the device that didn't remotely look like a phone out of her pocket and proceeded to answer the supposed call. (The following conversation is 'translated' from Russian to make this understandable.) "Ayaka? You there? How are you? I haven't heard from you in so long! Why didn't you call?" "Sasha i'm sorry, a lot has happened so i couldn't call you. I know it was my turn to call you but too much has been going on lately. I'm not okay." "What do you mean you're not okay? Aya what happened? You know you can call me whenever if you need me, so tell me.. please." "They're dead..mama and papa.." Only silence was at the other side of the call. "I've been taken care of by someone really wonderful, they're helping me." More silence. "I'm sorry. I'll call back." Aya muttered before hanging up the phone.

Mizushima and her friend were no longer standing in the doorway but instead stood in the hallway. Aya poked her head out her room and saw the two standing there. "T-that was my friend..from where i lived. I didn't know she'd call me all of a sudden." Aya went back in the room and put the phone back in the pocket on her school uniform. She folded it up and put the rest of her clothes and the uniform on a neat little pile on a chair in the room.

(Even though you gave me permission to control you character a little bit if i felt it necessary, i still apologize for controlling your character. >.<)

"I didn't know Astrojvy could speak a foreign language; that didn't come up in my research. In fact it was relatively difficult to find any solid information about her. I think I need to do a lit more background research on her. Why was she putting her hands in the air - as if she would be shot - when she awoke?" Bowing at Astrojvy, Vila said "I'm sorry for disturbing you're sleep, Astrojvy-san. Gesturing at Akashi, Vila to introduce the two, "I would like to introduce you to my friend, Shiou Akashi. Akashi, this is Astrojvy Ayaka." "Hey. Nice to meet ya. You have a cool tattoo, where'd you get it from?" Mentally face palming, "Why is he always so abrupt?" Thinking it would be best to get off the topic, Vila announced, "Akashi here was just going to leave, right?" Sending a subtle glare Vila waited for the answer. "Nah. I'll stay with you guys; it's been a while since I met any of Vila's new ... friends." The subtle glare now turning into a murderous one. "Hey, Ayaka? Wanna play a game with us? You can choose what we'll play?" Realizing that there was nothing she could do once Akashi wanted to do something - and not wanting this to turn into a war - Vila decided to go along with what Akashi wanted. "Astrojvy-san, first and foremost, I apologize for Akashi's rude behavior; he always calls people by their first name." Looking into Astrojvy's eyes, Vila then asked her, "But as Akashi was saying, would you like to do something with us or would you like catch up on the sleep which we disturbed?"

"No no it's okay. If you didn't wake me then the phone would." Aya look over to Akashi and gave a bow. "Nice to meet you." She said timidly. "If it's okay i would like to do more with you." As she said the last words her eyes caught those of Mizushima and locked. "She's so pretty." "I-i wan't to do what you do. If it's okay i would like to know you more." Aya's expression changed a bit, she blushed a little and started acting shy. "Mizushima-san, if you want..you can call me by my first name too, Ayaka."

The trio went downstairs and sat down in the living room. Ayaka looked over at Akashi a couple times, she knew something was off about him. He was very energetic and his look seemed suspicious. She didn't think much of it at first but none the less sat the furthest away from him and closest to Mizushima,

"I don't think any of the games i used to play as a kid are very interesting now." She gave a nervous laugh and scratched the back of her head. She looked over at Mizushima. "Maybe we could do the training you did today? I kind of regret not coming along to the dojo and i'm really quite curious." She fidgeted her thumbs a bit when asking but she wanted to know, no matter what.

"Ayaka. That's a pretty name." Vila directed the comment towards Ayaka. "Since I can call you by your first name, it's only fair if you can as well. Call me Vila." Offering a small grin towards the girl Vila gestured towards Akashi. "Akashi here also does training, so you guys can probably start without me while I put my duffle bag away." Sending a small wave towards the couple, Vila picked up the duffle bag and went to her room. "It may be a little risky leaving her with Akashi but Mum is near by and he wouldn't dare do anything when I'm so close by. She should be safe."

Dumping her duffle bag into the cupboard, Vila proceeded to quickly change her clothes into something more fit for fighting. Changing into a black sports crop top and a black and blue pair of running tights Vila headed downstairs, towards Ayaka and Akashi. "I hope nothing bad happened - wait! Why am I caring for her safety?" Confused about her own thoughts, Vila kept walking.

Ayaka sat on the floor watching Akashi perform some of the basic moves. The way he was able to reach and stretch his limbs caught Aya by surprise. She kept her eyes on the boy but her mind wandered off. The words kept going through her mind. "Call me Vila." She only ever had one other person she was on a first name basis with, and that person was on the other side of the planet, Sasha.

Suddenly Aya's eyes focussed on the stairs opposite the room, she saw feet coming down. A feeling of excitement and anticipation rushed over her. Slowly the feet became legs, and the legs became Vila coming downstairs. In awe she sat staring at the girl coming down, Aya's mind was running wild. The well shaped legs and the fit upper body didn't seem to fit Aya's prejudice of Vila, but as she came further down it was clear. To all Aya's might, she could not keep her eyes off Vila. She stared and inside, she began to feel warm and funny. "I...I think I love her.." The thought came in like a freight train through busy traffic and stopped Aya's thoughts right then and there. She knew she felt something before, something similar but she couldn't put the pieces together. Until now.

She looked up at Vila and locked eyes with her. "I love you" In her head she told Vila, she hadn't the courage to tell yet. Not when she's not sure what she is feeling. Unconsciously her mouth opened slightly to say something but nothing came out.

[To whom it may concern. This RP is over. I'm sorry if you really followed this but both players are out of ideas and have severe writer's block. Once again, i'm sorry. *bows*]
