Not sure what this is going to turn into.

Soviet Panda

Red Panda Commanda.
Roleplay Type(s)
So, I watched Black Lagoon with my friends one night, and there was a really big sniper rifle thing in it. Then, thanks to my train of thought, I went to Evangelion and the super sniper rifle, hopefully you all know what I'm talking about, but perhaps not. Anyway, I thought I should make a rp with super advanced stuff like that. Not lasers, I hate lasers. But still, sniper rifles that take the wind and even the magnetic field of a planet into it's calculations to line up a shot? Now that's amazing. I was thinking about the players being in light exosuits, or maybe put them into heavier Battle armor. Not quite mech suits, but that can change easily. Plot? Next to non-existent. Setting? In the same boat as plot. I have a lot of work to do, and will work on this when and as the ideas come to me.

Interesting idea, you've definitely peaked my curiosity a bit.

I kind of understand where you're at, I get to this point a lot where I get this cool image of a weapon or something in my head and want to build a roleplay around it.

The sniper rifle is very interesting, and exosuits are that way as well. I see a possible bounty hunter thing going on maybe? Don't let me tell you how to make your rp though, I'm sure this will make a fine rp once you get all of the details worked out.

Perhaps. But I was also thinking of the players to be a survey crew for foreign planets. See if it's suitable for human life and all.

Or there could always be a rebellion going on on some planet or another of my choosing. Desert planets are always cool in my opinion. Or perhaps it could be a bounty hunter thing, and the main goal is to get the is guy, or gal, that is worth hundreds of millions dead or alive. Along the way they could hunt smaller targets, mini bosses if you will. I could have a level system and everything. One planet = one level. Hmm... That could work. Perhaps instead of hunting side bounties, they are all in the same criminal organization. It doesn't have to be criminal however, perhaps it could be some corrupt government branch.

Then again, I do suddenly have an idea for the surveyor thing. Alien planet, where the aliens do not take kindly to visitors. A landing vessel comes down, drops the team down, and as it's flying away get's blown up from an unknown source. Make it a thriller, I think the genre is. Action, but the mood is very tense, anything can come your way. Best way to put it is like a futuristic Predator, basically.

You like my post, and then I have to add on and develop this. Keep up the good work in poking me. So, now, who is the main antagonist.... It could just be the alien life as a whole, with maybe one baddie sticking out from the rest. A chieftain or a warlord, if you will. Yeah, I like that option.

Now, onto what I brought up earlier, exosuits. I will probably have to buff them up from a simple frame to lightly armored if they are surveyors into potentially dangerous environments.Suits that simply enhance the physical output of the wearer. Yes, that would work nicely. Setting of the planet, jungle. Give everyone plenty of places to hide. Dangerous creatures, which I will take liberally from the game series Monster Hunters, as wild fuana. Flora I would have to make up as I go along.

Now, the all might question. Is this enough to post an interest thread and see if anyone is even interested besides the bear over there.

Sounds like you are still a little indecisive about which way to go, but either option is actually pretty good. All you need is a little bit more background material. But you totally have me interested in either route.

Leaning more towards the surveyor route then the other one. So, there's that. Now, what am I missing.

You have the complete outline, now it's just the fine details such as, is everyone part of the same surveyor corp, name of the planet, name of the ship, names of your science technical doodads, and etc... This world is your canvas, you have the outlines, now it is time to paint the textures.

They are all a part of the same surveyor corp. The ship blows up, so the name isn't to important. Perhaps the Nautilus, because why not. Name of the planet, now that's a bit harder to come up with actually. Let me think here, let's have the humans call it planet C-33308B. There are so many planets, it's just easier if they have numbers for planets. And finally, those technical doodads. Well, they haven't change much in the centuries. Thermometer, barometer, and the like. And don't forget the scopes. Telescope, microscope, stethoscope, etc.
