Fantasy No Mortals: Rebooted (IC) (Always Accepting)

Field Marshall

Eight Thousand Club
Journey across a unique fantasy universe as a powerful Immortal with incredible powers, discover new locations, prove your strength, or fight to defend the innocent from a dark presence which has invaded this world.

This is a world populated by Mortals, but ruled by Immortals, god-like beings with magical powers. Here, you can play as one of those many Immortal races and journey to new lands, protect your homeworld, participate in massive tournaments to prove your strength or fight for peace in the universe, by defeating a race of dark beings that have invaded this world, who seek to devour the souls of all others. You could even play as one of those evil Immortals, hunting down prey and consuming their souls to gain more and more power.

In this RP you can choose from a variety of different races with special abilities, and choose a unique power that your character has complete control over. Over time, you can increase your characters strength as they journey through a constantly expanding world, where you have the ability to change the fate of the universe, for better or for worse.

"Adventures" are story arcs that your characters can choose to participate in however they like. All players are able to submit their own adventures for the RP, but they should be discussed with and approved by me before or during their creation. Just send me a PM, and we can discuss any ideas you have for the RP's story! Adventures should usually be based in one location, and include a conflict/issue that needs resolution, with one or multiple villains to be defeated by the end of it, with possibly various other NPC's to expand on the story. There will usually be a single main adventure happening in the RP, but with multiple adventures popping up as the characters travel to different locations.

The Pilgrimage
The Pilgrimage is the first main adventure of No Mortals, and includes multiple adventures within it. It begins when our characters arrive in Pilgrim's Bay for the yearly Pilgrimage (A yearly event, in which adventurers travel across the world to prove their strength for the Grand Tournament). From there, the Immortals begin their journey across the world of Sol. The adventure began in Bellum, and will be completed when they makes their return to Bellum, after travelling to the Badlands, the Vias islands, and Cold Town.

Pilgrim's Bay

Raikou stepped off the ramp of the ship until the dock leading into the sandy Port City. This was the first stop of the first leg of his Pilgrimage effectively named Pilgrim's Bay. This town had prospered due to continuous traffic of both mortal which help the economy and Immortals which often gurantee the city's safety including an in town pub where Guardians gather to hang out and party. He continued down the dock until his feet was met with the sand of the Badlands. He didn't stop there but proceeded directly for that pub, the famous "Pilgrim's Oasis". He noticed one the main Street of the city a going merchant caravan and he could sense some immortals among it already. The Mortals show the way and the immortals provide protection, a cryer of the caravan noted that the caravan would be leaving soon and all those who wish to join it should do within half an hour.

Raikou made haste to Pilgrim's Oasis and entered the pub swiftly and not drawing too much attention because he was a guardian like the rest of the patrons. He saw his contact seated at the bar and surreptitiously made his over to them. He seated himself and whispered "Eradicate the Starscourge." The guardian looked at him from his peripheral vision before inclining towards him and greeting him like an old friend. "Here's the rundown, that caravan on Main Street get on it but be warned it's likely to come under attack. The Huntsmen have began growing bolder but their attacks seem a little more planned and strategic. Many attacks seemingly involved the same individuals so there could be a bigger plot at hand here. If you could look into the matter for me and send word back to me that would be well appreciated so I wouldn't have to leave here and could continue helping members of the order to come through here. Remember it's for the good of the order newbie." The crusader explained. Raikou had only one ethusiastic reply "Yes sir!"

Meanwhile, Commander Ravus could see the caravan on main Street from where he stood at the Crow's Nest of the ship he, Acantha and their support team had rode on for what felt like months. Heneyed the caravan and tapped a comm device in his ear. "Ma'am there's a large caravan gearing up on the main Street of this port city. It seems to just be accepting travelers at will. I think it may be good idea to travel in this caravan to the next city until we can obtain good intelligence detailing the layout of this place." Ravus suggested. He knew not what Acantha aims where and what she knew of this place just that he is to aid in her research and this mission. Right now he just assumed she wanted to complete the Pilgrimage but as a scientist who knows where her interests may take her.

A lone figure staggered into the port city known as Pilgrims Bay. Marius was tired, beaten, and broken by the loss of his team and the scientists. His armour was scorched and scuffed from the strange abilities the raiders seemed to posses. His body ached, and his veins felt as if they were filled with Napalm, ever since Fredrick Jabbed that needle full of goddess knows what into him. Sticking to the Alleys, he pushed himself along, too weak to use the jump jets and not wanting to draw anymore attention to himself.

After what felt to be an eternity, the lone Illustrati Invictus came into view of a rather primitive sailing ship, with several folk in some rather advanced gear. Flames exploded across the Gottestöter, causing him to cry out in panic, before extinguishing themselves. "Was zum Teufel ist mir passiert?! Verdammt Sie Fredrick ..." He growled before pushing himself onward. Ever since he had been given the injection, Marius had randomly started to burst into flames or ignited targets of his ire. "Must keep moving... Survive till my brothers and sisters arrive..."

Acantha was already off of the ship and looking at the local market that was located practically next to the port, and glanced at Ravus up on the mast when his voice entered her ears. "Dont be so intense, we've barely started our little trek, try to have some fun while we can." She said in the comms in a carefree voice. It reflected how she was in the crowd, clad in a white coat and carrying nothing but a metal suitcase she stood out in the desert clothed crowd. "We'll have plenty of time to hitch a ride on the caravan." Of course she wasn't being carefree for the sake of being carefree. She wanted her little recon team to have good morale and making sure they wont get bogged down in mental fatigue, and to build up loyalties and underestimation. "Look out for yourselves and regroup at the caravan when they start to move." With a meaningless sigh she continued to study and analyze the locals of the Badlands of Sol. Indeed they were primitive however she was surprised they were somehow organized enough to make a city so large with constant large scale threats you'd think they'd be stuck in villages and more militarized rather than trade focused. No doubt being a port city had influence but interesting nonetheless.

After about a minute of 'shopping' something in an alley caught her attention, a bright light of something and a puff of smoke. Now, normally a bright light and a puff of smoke wouldn't have caught her attention as it was obvious that would be fire and fire was all but uncommon in the city with various food stalls cooking on the spot. She walked down the alley and turned the corner to see a injured humanoid of some kind in unusual armor defintely not a local cause it was a difference race of any local she'd seen although it was somewhat familar. Using her strings she filled the alley in strings but of course making sure they were invisible. she doubted the humanoid would sense anything with the presence of immortals in the city filling the air. "Hello?" She analyzed it curious on what it was, what it was doing, and just exactly, what it was wearing.

"Why is it that everything is always so squashed together on this world? All this beautiful space, and they just huddle up until they're breathing each other's filth. It's nothing like home was." Liborio sat on the edge a random building's roof, in Pilgrim's Bay, and watched the ships come in. Swinging his legs in a carefree manner as he finished the last of his apple, he dug out the seeds and tossed them onto a breeze to be carried aloft to a planting ground, hopefully. Flicking the gnawed core into the crowd haphazardly, he stood from his solitary perch and turned away from the sea to an edge of the roof that overhung an alley. In a completely carefree manner, Liborio stepped over the edge and hung in the air, held aloft by a whirlwind, before descending to the ground softly. Brushing a bit of imaginary dust from the right arm of his beloved long coat, and blowing a rogue lock of his blue-black hair out of his face, Liborio left the alley a merged into the crowd seamlessly.

Following the instructions of a friendly merchant he'd met when first entering the city, Liborio set a course for Pilgrim's Oasis. He had been told that it was an establishment frequented by immortals, and that was exactly what he needed. He had no idea of what he was supposed to be doing here, but if he planned to participate in the Pilgrimage, and of course he did, he'd need more information. The wind may go where it pleased without a care for the world, but Liborio hadn't yet reached that level of freedom. Someday, I will though. Librorio thought to himself as he stepped into the pub and stirred the slightly stagnant air with his presence. Not caring for any attention he may attract, Liborio strode up to the bar and signaled to the barkeep.

"I wish to make the Pilgrimage. Unfortunately, I have no idea what that entails. Be a dear and shed some light on the subject." Liborio addressed the barkeep cockily and offered a wink to accompany the coinage floating above his outstretched hand. He wanted information, and he was willing to pay. Liborio only ever bothered with pleasantries when he thought them entertaining; he was currently all-business.

"Oh fick mich... Wie könnte ich so unvorsichtig sein..." He said, clearly being startled by the human female's sudden appearance. Giving her a quick look over, he noticed she was armed, his neural computer scanning the MRL Databases for info on her. After a moment, her picture showed up with a small profile on her. But what he saw, caused his spirits to drop. Straightening up, he displayed the flag of the MLR emblazoned on his right shoulder plate of his HK-74 Wandernpanzer, before adressing her as trained to.
"Marius Aurel, Lt. Colonel, Serial Number: 754-15JS45-BZ455G, Military Rupublic of Lunari Gottestöter..."

The first odd thing about the stranger entering the pub was their solid white cloak.
It was an idiotic thing to wear a white cloak in such a dirty place as Pilgrim's Bay. Walking the streets where filth was aplenty was also less sanitary without shoes, which this stranger lacked. Instead they wore anklets, and carried a staff which seemed to glow in the dim light of the pub.

Actually, their entire being seemed to glow. It was magnificent; angelic even.
It was then that she removed her cloak.
She was beautiful, like a work of art, the glow seen before amplified, as if she had some light inside, spilling out through every pore.

She quietly padded to the bar, sitting down amongst the patrons silently.
"May I order a refreshment?" She asked softly, a light blush coming over her, "Perhaps one containing alcohol?"

Her eyes lifted upon hearing the cocky man speak of a pilgrimage.
"A pilgrimage? I haven't heard of this," her bright eyes gaze turned to the barkeep then, "Please, enlighten us both on the subject." Her focus returned then to Liborio. "My apologies," she began, "I forgot to greet you. Excuse my lapse in manners." She giggled then, a charming tinkling sound like tiny bells, "What might your name be, sir?"

It seems the whole bar was now interested in the talk of the Pilgrimage and the purest looking Guardian to ever set foot in the Badlands. The barkeep readily accepted the payment and began speaking, not interested in. "Going on the Pilgrimage without even knowing what you're doing or doing so alone is a good way to end up dead. You have taken the first step which is coming to here the Badlands. From here you have to cross the Badlands to the Vias island and from there go to Cold Town. After crossing Cold Town you'll end up back in Bellum and completed the Pilgrimage. After completing it you'll have fulfilled the requirements to enter in the Grand Terran Games and travel to Terra to compete in them. Basically Badlands to Vias to Cold Town to Bellum to Terra for the sake of competing in the Terran Games." He practically explained it to the whole bar although most of the bar knew well enough already about the Pilgrimage.

Raikou's head swiveled to the two Guardians inquiring about the Pilgrimage. "They are likely to wind up dead without aid from you and our Intel network. Use this to role in two more to our cause." The crusdsr contact whispered to Raikou.

"If you say so, Director." Ravus replied through his comm device. Ravus zipped from Crow's Nest to the roof of building in a small beam of golden light. He then zipped from roof to roof, most would simply see a bullet of light leaping across buildings if they took notice of Ravus's movements. He was taking note of Immortals already amongst the merchants and travelers. His scouting eventually brought him to the edge of Pilgrim's Bay. He looked out into the distance he could sense far off a dark haze in the distance. It seemed to be all along the horizon. Whatever was lurking out there was not good news and most likely unavoidable.

Walking off the ramp of the ship and into the city, Nomad had no idea what to expect. It had been quite some time since he had visited such a vastly populated area such as Port City, so he would have imagined things were different than the way he had seen it long ago. But he was wrong. Every building looked new and untouched, like as he saw them the first time. This gave him a little comfort, as apparently not everything he had seen in his past had withered away. Nomad knew very little of city life, as he wandered the great wilderness of Sol, only stopping at small villages to rest. He was off the grid and liked to stay undercover, so when he reached the streets he covered himself with a dark cloak, hiding himself from the locals and other warriors.

He was told that he was to go to the "Pilgrim's Oasis" If he wanted to find a group of warriors, as taking the pilgrimage as a single person was suicide. Although Nomad had probably walked over 100 times the pilgrims distance during his long life and had had survived, he was confused. But, he thought that the company of at least one other fellow warrior would be the best thing, as an alliance could be beneficial to him. You see, Nomad still had no idea what he actually was. He knew that he had lived much longer than anyone he had met in his travels and that he had abilities, but he thought nothing of it. He thought the pilgrimage was for all warriors, but he would soon find out this wasn't the case.

Walking into the pub, Nomad saw a lot of commotion that he was not used too. There was laughing, yelling and fun. He then heard a few people talking about the pilgrimage, two men and a woman at the bar. the bartender then raised his voice so everyone could hear, talking about the details of the pilgrimage. "This is going to be easier than I thought" he told himself. He had walked those lands countless times in his travels. The only issue would be defending himself from the dangers, since the last times were not under such circumstances. His attention then turned to the three people sitting at the counter, the people talking from before. "looks like I've found myself a group" he said to himself with a slight chuckle. He then approached them, taking off his hood to reveal his face "I heard you three are taking the pilgrimage" he said, sitting on the stool next to them "Well If you are willing, I would like to join your company"

Acantha watched the humanoid point some kind of advanced weapon at her, normally she wouldnt care about it but the locals of Sol were primitives... She didnt flinch however her attention had turned towards the weapon. "Republic.. of Lunari?" Her eyes widened at the name and her smile grew a little, what was the Tepublic doing on Sol? If she recalled correctly they were a mostly military society, perhaps they were actually thinking about assaulting Sol? Idiots. "What is a Republic Colonel doing in a place like this?" They shouldn't have much info on the conglomerate, The only interactions Sildor and Lunari was a simple trade port, and Acantha knew their intelligence director very well, she wouldn't have let a peep reach their ears. Walking closer to the colonel, "How did you get this injured? you dont look like a normal soldier either.." Special forces of some kind perhaps, maybe an officer of somekind. The scorch marks on his armor seemed familar too.

"My Brothers and Sisters in arms are part of an exploration fleet... I and My unit of Eight fellow Gottestöters were sent as a security escort for a score of scientists, in the Badlands... We were attacked by raiders, with unnatural abilities... I'm the only Survivor..." He replied through gritted teeth, clearly in an immense amount of pain. Judging by the wounds he had sustained, any regular soldier would have gone into shock hours ago. Leaning against the left wall, Marius brought a hand up to the section of his helmet where his temple would be, and pressed. There was a pressurized hiss, followed by the sound of moving parts, as the visor pulled back revealing his face. "Judging by your heart rate, and lack of adrenaline pumping through your system... I can tell you are not hostile... Any other inf-" He began saying, only to be cut off as flames once more consumed his form, followed by a grunt of pain. It was times like these, he hated the fact he couldn't go into shock.
Moments later, the fires extinguished themselves, leaving the Illustrati panting, as he drew in labored breaths. after a few more moments, Marius had managed to get himself back under control.

"I'm Liborio, but you can call me whatever you want, honey, and no need for manners with me. They just complicate things." Liborio flashed the glowing newcomer a pearlescent smile. He wasn't even going to ask her name; if she wanted to give it, she would, if she didn't, he'd just call her whatever he fancied at the moment. He reutrned his attention to the barkeep as the man explained the pilgrimage, and the fact that he'd be crazy, stupid, and inevitably dead, to go it alone. Liborio was a lot of things, but stupid or dead weren't included in that list. Not that he needed to worry about finding traveling companions. The unnamed lass beside him seemed to building up to something, and there was now a man smothered in a dark cloak approaching them about ganging up.

"Great, another clueless fool with no idea how to make it on their own in such a strange place." Liborio turned in his seat to face the cloaked stranger. Though his words may sound condescending, his tone was genuinely friendly; he considered himself one of the clueless ones afterall.

Raikou was about to walk over to the two guardians when another entry caused a sharp intake of breath all around the bar. Then Raikou felt it too an immortal presence that's not a guardian's immortal presence nor a Huntsman. A huntsman would have likely been attacked with extreme prejudice on the spot. This being was something different and instead the whole bar and all its festivities came to a halt. They all turned and looked at the Sentinel who walked into their bar.

Some guardians had their hands at the ready to summon their soul weapons or use their energies. The sentinel proceeded to address the two guardians inquiring about the Pilgrimage. The bartender quickly spoke up after the first exchange. "What the hell are he?" He said with extreme hostility.

Acantha was amused at the republic soldier, so willing to spout information. Definitely not special forces or an officer, She believed she heard him say something about loosing scientists and his team? So he was basically an over glorified body guard for a survey team of some sort. "What exactly is, happening to you?" She definitely didnt think she could help. He seemed to explode into a fireball only for the fire to die down, there wasnt a source of where the fires were emitting either... "Let me examine your wounds." Crouching down next to him she didnt wait for an answer and put a hand on his arm, feeling the metal that was an alloy of some sort. "hmm interesting.." She then put a hand on an open wound. "Raiders, did this to you?"

Nomad was a bit perplexed to why everyone in the bar looked his way. Everything had stopped, and everyone had their hands at their ready, probably preparing to attack him. he noticed that all of had a speacial presence, like they were something like him, but different. For caution, Nomad discretely made titanium dust cover his body underneath his cloak, in case if someone were to attack him. He had no idea what these people were capable of

His eyes then turned to the man sitting at the counter. Even though he had talked to him a friendly tone, Nomad took his words at face value "the reason I ask to join your party is for safety in numbers. I am far from a fool, and anything but clueless" He said in a respectful tone "In fact, I may know the route for the journey more than you could expect".

His attention then turned to the bartender. "All I can say is that I mean no harm to anyone here. I am only a simple warrior wanting to find companions to take the pilgrimage with" His comment resonated with him, as Nomad did not know what he was. He gave the best answer he could. He then addressed the crowd "so don't be concerned about your safety. Drop your hands, and got about your business" all the eyes in the room finally became relaxed, and Nomad could feel the energies dying down. "However, If there is anyone willing to join me in taking the pilgrimage, come forth"

"Ita... I mean yes..." He replied relaxing a little as he allowed her to examine his wounds. "Seeing as you are not hostile, and our two peoples have a trade agreement, I will divulge some non-essential Information. Maybe it will will shed some light on what is happening to me..." Marius said with a pained grunt as she applied pressure to a wound on his left rib. Her hand became quickly slicked with cobalt colored vitae, before he continued. "As stated previously, I and my team are Gottestöter... God Slayers in the common tongue. You and your military aught to be familiar with us, as we became public knowledge two decades ago. When my team and I made planet fall, we landed outside of a city within the badlands. We were about a eleven klicks from it when the scientists were attacked. In the ensuing battle, I was mortally wounded. Low on medical supplies, my second, Fredrick, used one of the injectors the raiders had, in hopes of saving my life. To say the least it did, but not fast enough, as my brothers and sisters will ultimately destroyed. I have no dea ratione damnatorum what was in that injector, but it feels like napalm in my veins..." He explained, regaling her with a summed up version of the events. Keeping to his word, he gave her nonessential information on his unit and people.

Perched rather casually on the bar of a somewhat crowded pub, Kai sipped carefully at a cup of warm water. She had arrived at the Pilgrim's Bay for this year's Pilgrimage, hoping to take apart of the festivities.

Upon arrival, she had stepped off of the ship with wary eyes, knowing her kind was not necessarily welcome in the community of Immortals. Being a Huntsmen came with disadvantages. After all, they were known for feeding on other Immortals to better her power.

Entering the pub wasn't too difficult. She had suspected no one cared about her because of the rules restricting her from consumption.

The Hunter clicked her tongue, setting down the glass as some Guardians filtered in. She was unsure as to whether or not they noticed her presence. They seemed too engulfed with talk of the Pilgrimage to even bat a lash at her.

Kai nearly was tempted to make her way over but paused as weapons were drawn. She let out a soft chuckle, shaking her head with narrowed eyes. The bartender near her seemed to have a rather interesting outburst. Shame she couldn't have warranted such from him.

Taking a stand, Kai stretched out her fingers. She casted a glance at the Sentinel who had arrived, raising a brow as if to challenge him to note her presence.

Several spikes in energy and one spike in particular drew Ravus's attention to the Pilgrim's Oasis. He ripped from building to building until he was right on top and then he had an accurate sensing of the situation. He pressed his comm and reported "Director I think we have a Rogue Sentinel, at the Pilgrim's Oasis that guardian bar. I also sense two Huntsmen inside as well but it seems the patrons aren't bothered by them. Please advise!" He didn't know if she wanted him to capture the rogue or back off and just observe for now.

Another similar presence on the roof of the Pilgrim's Oasis put everyone back on edge. "He has company!" One of them shouted and immediately everyone rose to their feet energy or Soul Weapons at the ready. At this moment Raikou strode over to the center of attention. "Stand fast everyone." He said to the patrons. He turned to the Sentinel. "I was just going to offer to show these two fellow Guardians the way. I am not sure if anyone would want to go on the Pilgrimage with something they can't exactly trust now. You seem to have some friend on the roof, maybe you know them or maybe you don't. But the trust just isn't there, unless..." Raikou turned to Liborio and Hialeah. "You guys feel different. I can show you the way and as a fellow guardians taking the Pilgrimage we should in theory make a great team. And I'll even go with you if you decide to trust this here anomally because who knows he may be a good guy under his...." Raikou gestured to the entirety of Nomad.

Grunbeld grunted from the side of his mouth at the scene unfolding in the pub. "Well bet he has an interesting flavor, we may find out once he gets stronger and we're permitted to hunt him." He said guzzling down another drink before slamming the mug back on the table. "Azazel gave us a good opportunity to go on the Pilgrimage and gain access to the fruits just as they ripen with the chance of maybe devoring high quality souls in the Terran Games. But that's still a long way off." He added. He watched Kai seemingly attempt to draw the Sentinel's presence. "Flirting with the food now, that's very spider like of you Kai." He commented.

Grunbeld's callous words turned Kai's attention away from the Sentinel. She sighed, tapping her fingers against the counter with irritation.

"I hope you understand that he's mine," she purred, flitting her eyes back to the Sentinel. "Maybe if I'm feeling nice, I can give you some of the leftovers," Kai added jokingly.

Originally, she had intended only to engage in some playful banter. But Grunbeld's obvious interest sparked her competitive streak. She of course, wanted the Sentinel to herself.

"It's not coming soon enough," she whined, finishing off her drink. "Bartender! Cold water, this time," Kai demanded, sliding off of the bar and dusting off her clothes.

"Flirting with the food is just one way to assess them. See how easy they are," Kai explained. "Besides, the more challenging, the better."

Kai made her way over to those crowded around the Senintel, casting a gaze back towards Grunbeld in case he wished to follow.

With her arms in a stretch, she walked herself over, a smile plastered on her face. "Hello Ladies and Gents," she greeted.

"I can assure you, I came here alone" Nomad said in a tone of assurance to everyone in the room "whoever it is on the roof, I do not know them". Nomad had not traveled with anyone since he was training with his last master in the mountains. He spent a long time with him, learning everything until he ultimately outlived him. Nomad then finally decided that he was no longer in danger, so he retracted his hidden titanium dust armor. However, he kept it at hand at all times. "Your right, you have no reason to trust me. But I can assure you I have traveled the described route many times, and I know how to get there" He said with a tone of confidence "After all, two guides are better than one"

His attention then was drawn the the attractive woman that he noticed was staring at him earlier. She had a nice figure and good eyes, but Nomad wasn't interested in romance at the moment. However, this did not affect his gentlemanly nature. As the woman approached, Nomad composed himself "And who might you be miss". But he stopped for a second. he felt a strange energy coming from the woman, unlike anything he had come across before. It wasn't like the other warriors, or like himself either. Being cautious, he again applied the titanium armor underneath his cloak. he had no idea what this woman was capable of

"There she goes being weird again, weaving her webs and soon he'll be caught in it." He whispered to himself. She always go taking the good meals, now I gotta find myself an exotic meal to nurture and devour to advance to the next level. He knocked back another drink as the bar scene continued.

"If you have been through the route even once then why are you even going on the Pilgrimage. The Pilgrimage is literally a journey through those places in that order, you would have completed in the Terran Games already. In fact you could turn around go back to Bellum and jump ship to Terra if you really did do that." Raikou said pointing out the oddities in what Nomas just said.

Hialeah nodded distantly in understanding. She sipped the drink she ad acquired gingerly, testing the waters with this alcoholic beverage; ale. It was quite satisfying to the palate.
"Another please?" She requested, a rosy color painting her cheeks despite the small amount she'd had to drink. The woman had zero tolerance, and her small stature didn't help.
She observed the two other strangers that approached. She removed her cloak in full, tapping Liborio to gain his attention.
"This adventure sounds most fun. Might I join you in this undertaking?"
The first thought anyone would have looking at the luminescent guardian now would be boobs. Beneath her cloak she wore a simple white gown, sleaveless and cut like a heart, bearing her impressive bust to the world.
"Liborio, may I? I may be of some help." Her expression was the picture of innocence and cuteness, begging the unlucky man to take her.

Kai raised an interested brow, lowering her arms as the Sentinel gave a polite greeting. Could he know of her being? She pondered for a moment, wondering whether or not this man would give her away. If not that, the other Guardians should if they were able to sense her.

"Kai Aster," she responded, holding her hand out to shake. She was rather casual, her stance laid back and welcoming. Of course, she allowed a knowing smile appear on her face. If anything, she had to keep herself a good mix of politeness and sultriness.

"A pleasure to meet you," Kai added quickly.

Grunbeld had jutted with his nitpickiness. She sighed, casting a gaze over to him with irritation. Kai would rather him not butt in with such wording. There would be a possibility that her prey would choose not to stay.

She hoped the Sentinel did stay. Maybe provide more information about himself.

Another one caught her gaze. A child-like girl who had just removed her cloak, capturing the gazes of all hungry men in the pub. Kai resisted a sneer. To think someone would purposely wear such revealing things in hopes of entrancing another was irritating to her.

After all, she preferred careful wording and not-so obvious methods.

"Oh, everyone's a fool, Sir Cloak. That is why are allowed to live in this universe; we are here to learn." Liborio replied to the cloaked stranger with an easy smile. His smile didn't falter, in the slightest, as the entire pub was suddenly on edge. Apparently, Cloak wasn't the same kind of immortal as the rest of them, and it made the others nervous. Liborio didn't really understand it. Sensing other immortals wasn't exactly his strong suit. "Anyway, I wouldn't mind having some traveling buddies for a bit. It should make things more interesting." Liborio smirked. It was unclear if he was ignoring the rising tensions, or if he were simply oblivious.

"I am going to regret this later, because you, my dear, are a dangerous tease, but I won't object to you, or the Mr. Tall, Dark and Broody over there, joining us in the Pilgrimage." Liborio patted the busty young lady on the head like a child as he pointed at the guardian trying to placate the crowd, who had offered to guide them throughout the journey. Turning his attention back to the rest of the pub as he rest his hand on the poor girl's head, Liborio took note of the sketchy woman, Kai Aster, and her unnamed companion. Careful not to lose his cheery facade, Liborio brooded internally about her. I don't know what it is, but I don't like this Kai woman or her friend.

"A pleasure to meet you Miss Kai" Nomad said shaking her hand. Her hands were small and fragile compared to his rather large and rough hands. He made sure to be gentle as not to hurt her. "Call me Nomad". Her strange energy still troubled Nomad, but he would keep it to himself unless she committed any questionable acts "I guess you took my request to that you want to join me on the pilgrimage. you are more then welcome"

His attention was then drawn to Raikou. "Excuse me for a moment Miss. Kai" he said. he then addressed Raikou's concerns "You see, only up until now I had no knowledge of the Pilgrimages route. I also was not traveling in those areas when the pilgrimage was taking place" Nomad said to Raikou "And even if I had known of its route, it would be suicide to travel that route alone during these circumstances. that was one of the reasons I cam here, so that I could recruit companions"

His attention then again drawn to Liborio, who replied to his statement. Nomad even more displeased with his answer, but he was not a person that was quick to judge. "You obviously don't know what being a fool means" he said with a playful chuckle "But you are precisely right. People are always searching to learn about something. but I can tell you is that we all have a greater purpose than just obtaining knowledge" he then spoke to the larger group "We are here to make connections, fight for what we believe in, and better the world that we live in" he said with a great passion. He then cracked a small smile "Looks like I've found my group" he said. he was looking forward to this journey
