personality: Kari is an energetic, bubbly, and compassionate individual. However, she is very feisty and headstrong, and stubborn. She has a rather sweet side, but she will often hide this unless she is very close with that person. She has also been known to be very loyal to those that have her trust, throwing herself into very dangerous situations for them.

Background:
Kari was born to the Nakamaru clan of the Narumi tribe, which was a family of 'royalty' in the tribe. She trained in the ways of the tribes secret martial arts, jikido, alongside her older brother, Katsu. The tribe however, had some internal conflict, a rival clan of the Nakamaru family, the Isumi clan, wanted to take over the tribe. The head of the Isumi, Leong, started a rebellion, for the second time, and it was tribe member against tribe member. At the time of the first rebellion, sensei Wu had been passing through, and helped the tribe regain peace four years prior to the second rebellion. This time, Leong promised powerful positions to those who rebelled with him. Kari's father was killed by Leong, as well as her mother. Katsu saved Kari by sending her away in the midst of the chaos in a canoe. He bravely held off the attackers, which helped little eight year old Kari to get away. Kari however suffered from a head injury, wiping away her memory of her former life. She was found by a family of farmers who began raising her as one their own, but it was short lived as she learned that she was not born to the farmers, and so she ran away, ending up with no place to live until she came to find Darkly's school for bad boys. Sneaking in, learning that it was boys only, she hid her true gender, desperate for shelter and food. The school took what they thought was a mysterious young boy in, convinced they could make an evil mastermind out of given that they saw some internal conflict in the child. Kari went by the name of Katsu feeling a familiarity with the name, and gained quite a reputation for herself as most of the other students learned real quickly that she was quite skilled in fighting in comparison to them due to the fact that she till knew jikido by muscle memory. Kari was on edge most of the time, avoiding the other students as much as she possibly could to keep her secret identity hidden, until Lloyd accidentally discovered her secret. Desperate to keep her secret from getting out, she made a deal with him. That deal being that she would be his 'henchman' in return that he didn't tell anyone about her. Lloyd agreed to the deal, and Kari found that she actually enjoyed his company the more the two got to know each other. Slowly, she grew a bit of a soft spot for Lloyd as their deal grew into a blossoming friendship. As her only friend, Kari was devoted to Lloyd, and stayed by his side when he got kicked out of Darkly's, dropping out. When the serpentine betrayed him, she was willing to take on even Pythor, even though she got her butt kicked by the snake. With the ninja, she was a little bit on edge at first, but after the ninja showed her kindness, she began to see them as family. Zane became like a father figure to her, as she opened up to him first, seeing a familiarity in the way he spoke. He taught her how to cook, and Nya taught her how to be more lady like. While Kari didn't become really girly, she did start wearing cute hairclips, and letting her eyelashes grow back out, and letting her hair grow out. This didn't change the fact that she was still very much a tom-boy and wouldn't give up her hoodies.Kari wanted to be a ninja, and so under the careful eye of sensie Wu, Kari began learning spinjitsu, and Zane helped out with the training. Of course, she found less time to hang out with Lloyd after he began training to become the green ninja, but they began training together. Kari would win most tussles in the beginning, finding her jikido most effective. Seeing the jikido, Sensie Wu had a feeling that Kari wasn't just some random kid off the street. He asked her where she was from, as he had seen jikido only when he had helped out the Nakami tribe. Kari told him that she did not remember where she was from, but that she did have a reoccuring nightmare about a battle within a town, and narrowly escaping by canoe after some little boy had held off the warriors. From the vivid detail that Kari described the nightmare, Sensi Wu highly suspected that it was a memory. This was right before the ninja were turned into kids by Garmadon who was trying to ressurect the gruntle. When the gruntle found the ninja at the comic store, she had went with Lloyd, and had been backed into the corner with the ninja, causing her to be aged up with the rest of the ninja. Her appearance changed somewhat, her hair had grown out, and was now half way down her back, and her body had become rather curvacious. Shortly after, a new face showed up in ninjago city, helping to save some people from a fire, it was Kari's older brother, Katsu. Sensie Wu recognized him immediately, and welcomed him aboard the bounty. Katsu stated that he had been looking for Sensie Wu, and his younger sister, Kari. Katsu also went ahead and explained how he had survived. Thanks to his friendship with Masahi, Leong's son, he had been spared, and was able to complete his training. Sensie Wu told Katsu that Kari was living with them, but that she did not remember where she came from. Katsu was a bit brokenhearted to hear that his sister would not remember him, but Sensie Wu had a solution. He got some tea that would restore Kari's memory. Katsu notioned that it was of utmost importance that Kari gain her memory back as he needed her to help him take the now suffering tribe back. Kari was a bit shocked, but delighted to learn she had a brother, but when she drank the tea that would restore her memory, her memories came back, in a flashback, as if she was reliving her eight years in the tribe. At the end of the flashback, came the memories of the nightmare. She was shooken as her family had been very close, and to learn her parents were dead was a bit too much for her. However, thanks to the support of Lloyd and the others, and her brother, Kari recovered from the shock just fine. She continued her Jikido training with her brother who was relatively wise for his age. In no time, Kari became a skilled jikido master. She was once again able to pin Lloyd down as she learned how to direct the flow of battle, and use one's strength against them. However, she was very much outmatched by Lloyd in physical strength, so pinning him wasn't the best way to go about winning a training match. Katsu sewed together a jikido master outfit for Kari, claiming it would increase stealth because of the material used. Once done, the ninja were happy to help Katsu retake the Narumi tribe. With the help of the ninja, Katsu and Kari won against Leong by pinning him long enough for the cliff they were on to collapse. Kari found her internal peace, knowing she had freed her tribe, and her elemental power of bone was released, and she saved her brother, and herself. Afterwards, Katsu became cheiftan of the tribe, and Kari was welcome to come and go as she pleased. Deciding that she wanted to help the ninja defend ninjago, she stayed with the ninja.
Abilities:
Jikido: This martial art is only used by the Narumi tribe. It requires major stealth, hearing, focus, and balance to work. Jikido taps into the opponents pressure points in such a way that it temporarily paralyzes chosen body parts of the opponent. The stealth is to help prevent the opponent from knowing where the jikido user will strike them next. Of course this is just the offensive side to the art, the art is also used in clearing one's mind, through the elegant, fluid motions.
Hearing: Those of the Narumi tribe have an impressive sense of hearing. Training themselves to pay attention to the sounds of their own movements to improve stealth, and listening for their opponents next move. Their hearing is amongst the best; however, they tend to rely on hearing a little too much.
Spinjistu: Kari learned spinjitsu mostly from Zane, her spunjistu color is a creme color.
Elemental power: bone
Kari is a master stealth. She is like an owl in the night, silent. However, she relies on stealth too much as her physical strength isn't all that great.

Relationships:
Lloyd Garmadon (Love interest): At the beggining of season two, Lloyd is apreciative of Kari's supportive, loyal nature, and the two always loved to get into trouble together. To Lloyd Kari was a girl, but he found it a bit strange that he was able to get along well with a girl his age since boys and girls generally don't mix at the age of eleven and twelve. He came to the conclusion that Kari acted more like a boy than a girl. As time went on, and Kari started embracing her feminine features such as her eyelashes and hair, Lloyd began noticing her more as a girl, but she was different to him, she wasn't the whiney, annoying girly girl, but still very much a tomboy, and he felt strangely attracted to her. Kari on the other hand had developed a soft spot for Lloyd, and wasn't sure why she felt all giddy inside around him. Sensie Wu had even said that they would be trouble when they got older. Lloyd is very supportive of Kari, and protective over her, maybe even a tad flirtatious towards her sometimes.
Zane: To Kari, Zane is kind of a father figure. Out of all the ninja, she began to trust Zane first, feeling a bit of familiarity with how formal he was whenever he spoke. Kari went to Zane whenever she couldn't go to Lloyd with her emotions. Zane taught her how to cook, and was the main teacher for her spinjitsu. When she found out the truth about her parents, she still looked up to Zane as a father figure. She has accidentally even called him dad once.
Sensie Wu: Kari is very formal towards Sensie Wu as she has a lot of respect for the elder, although she does get annoyed with him sometimes. She absolutely hates it whenever he speaks "in riddles."
Nya: Nya was quite excited to have another girl in the group, and taught Kari how to be more ladylike. Sometimes they have a girl's day out, and are good friends, claiming that girl's need to stick together.
Kai: Kai and Kari tend to bicker sometimes as Kai's carelessness tends to annoy Kari quite a bit, but if she has to work together with him, she will put aside her differences.
Jay: Kari loves bad puns and jokes, so she likes Jay's sense of humor, and sometimes they have contests for whoever can make the cheesiest pun. Although, sometimes, Jay's panicky nature can get on her neves sometimes.
Cole: Kari isn't exactly the biggest fan of Cole, they are more allies more than anything else. While she respects his strength, she doesn't really talk to him much.
Garmadon: When he was Lord Garmadon, Kari thought that there was still some good in his heart as she realized that he was reluctant to fight Lloyd. Kari decided that she should still respect him since he was the father of her best friend. After he became sensie Garmadon, Kari's respect for the man grew a lot. She is very formal to sensie Garmadon.
Misako: Kari absolutely adores Misako, since she resembles her mother in wisdom. She takes anything misako says to heart.
Pixel: Kari also adores Pixel because of her relationship with Zane. Kari is glad that Zane has had such an impact on Pixel, and vice versa.
Pythor: Kari disliked the serpent from the start, and wanted nothing to do with the anacondria.
Katsu: Kari and her brother are very close, inseperable. Katsu is protective over his sister, and is less formal when it comes to her. In the Narumi tribe, you do not always have to be so formal when it comes to family members.
