Whatever he said? One-ear-and-out-the-other. Chunhwa found herself far too fixated on the blood that dripped down unto the asphalt. She was reminded of their whole predicament, of how it all went south, of the, pardon her language, fuckery this had all been...

Ugh, no, no, uh-uh on that pity party or I'm going to die. And so, too, was this guy, if she didn't tell him sooner of the 'little' mess he had going on with his nose.

Though it pained her to do so, she brought out her new handkerchief—a personalised little thing with a beautifully abstract pattern, a design that can, obviously, only come from Bucci—and dabbed at his face hesitantly. "Kettle to the pot, sweetie. I should be asking you that?" With all that red on him, he'd look right at home in a B-movie horror. A humorous thought, one that's made even more so by the fact that he looked absolutely unconcerned of it.

Laughing would have only intensified that guilt of hers, though. Instead, she vaguely gestured at her face with her free hand, and handed her very new and very one-of-a-kind and limited edition handkerchief to him delicately. "You sorta, kinda have a little, uhmm, something."

"Blood. You've got blood. Like, an amount that wouldn't be good to see on the outside of your body."

These two need a nurse. ASAP.

She turned her attention to her second (and very unfortunate) victim, pulling her off the ground in as gentle a manner as she could.

Outside of this little breakdown just now, Chunhwa would consider herself pretty resilient. So, a fall like that, while super painful, could be recovered from. This tentacle girl, though? She looked super squishy. Maybe even squishier than Chunhwa is in her current form.

Once again, deep concern. "So... I'm, uhm, really sorry about that. Are you in, like, any pain or something? A doctor? Do squid-people need something else other than a doctor?" She asked, almost frenzied in her manner. Things like this always made her a little panicky. Chunhwa's got the gift of gab, sure, but Megan had the skills, the know-how. She would have known what to do in this situation. Always did.

Maybe if she moved back a bit, then Megan would come to get her? Obviously, they'd still be in a cold war—Chunhwa's not budging yet—but Megan would have to help, right? Tentatively, she inched herself a teensy bit, (not too far to activate that curse as hard as it did moments ago,) and bounced around as she tended to the two.

Hopefully, Megan hadn't also ended up in as bad of a mess as she did. Wouldn't want to add another victim to the list.

Oh— that made Drancis pause indefinitely at his fellow student. She spat like a viper. Hinged upon the edge and poised to strike. But that resonated with the dryad. Sporting a fellow smile at her display, curled at the tips of his pale lips and elevated his throat with a small collected chuckle. "But." He flicked his wrist over to the painting again. "This was painted with emotion, with feeling, with the passionate drive that speaks to you and other creatures." He stretched his arms into a casual shrug, denoted with his bag sliding down to the grove in his elbow and almost shooting off to the floor. Almost. "Don't be mad over the truth and maybe your personal truth." He reminded her with a vague sort of sharpness. Wasn't too overt to be picked up by the common ear. Drancis wasn't about to start something in the middle of the hallway but was rather clear, he was carrying himself like a stable mountain. Refusing to back down to the anger she had whipped out in public. She also seemed too common.

"Do you think you have lasted this long without deceit?" He turned his eyes over to the other gathering groups. What would his life be like without the careful and callous manipulation that humans possessed? Is the destruction ongoing to the planet and the willful ignorance in response? But his lips jerked at the mere idea of anyone suddenly becoming caring and compassionate. It didn't exist. Only to reinforce his hands over his bag, hooking his fingers over the straps ad moving one barefoot over to the direction of his dorm.

He was a statue, proportioned only to the glare he was holding himself now.
Megan the Dishonest and Passionate

An irk of disgust filled her at his words. “Don’t be mad over the truth” The dogmatic arrogance made her want to wipe that smug smirk off his face. Her shoulders straightened as her anger flared. Trying to match the dryad’s imposing stature. The cynic was wrong. Plain and simple. She bit back a thousand curses and forced herself to calm down.

Something else he said gave her pause. Made her think. How long would she have lasted without deceit? Lies had given her many opportunities to consume new knowledge... but wasn’t it dishonesty that kept the knowledge of magic from her in the first place? Why had it been so secret in her home world? Her brain had churned out countless conspiracy theories trying to explain this. Few of them pleasant.

Paranoid and untrusting, she had kept her powers secret - forever thankful that the spells she knew in her younger and less prudent years were subtle and personal. Had this deceit shielded her? A Cloak of Shadow hiding her from the Reaper? One day, she planned to go public. But only once she was certain she could take on every single army in the world singlehanded, completely subvert all major government to their deepest echelons and ensure beyond a shadow of a doubt that there was no outside force trying to censure magic. Anything less would be suicide.

None of that mattered anymore. Her drive to succeed had changed everything. She and Hana had struggled together for a common goal, sacrificed and cared for each other in pursuit of their shared goal. That was the key to magic she realised. The key to everything worthwhile. Passion. The endless desire. The hope that you can achieve great deeds. Wanting to do what must been done.

“You need genuine emotion.” She spoke at last. Breaking the long silence. “You can’t just fake something like this with all effort it takes.” Gesturing towards the painting, her voice was more thoughtful now. “You have to care if you want to actually achieve anything.” But it was no less forceful.

“There is so much wonder and magic in this world. I haven’t seen much of it but just the tiniest glimpse was enough to... to...” She sighed. How on earth could she put into words how much she envied someone who grew up in it?

Her left arm stung and she felt strangely alone.

Kalliope
response to kiwifrosty kiwifrosty

"Hm?" Looking up, the first thing Kalliope saw was a rather pretty girl, looking down at her with a rather worried expression. She had brunette hair that cascaded down her face, and shiny brown eyes that betrayed her concern. Right! They just fell over, so that's probably why she looked so anxious. Strangely, they had practically forgotten this, which they chalked down to being disorientated from the fall. Now a little embarrassed of herself, she scrambled to her feet, dusting off the dirt on her clothes, then looked up to address the girl in front of her. Standing properly, they saw that she was quite a bit shorter than them, though it didn't make much of a difference. Smiling bashfully, she replied, "I'm just fine now, thanks for asking. I'm still not great at going from water to land yet," she shrugged, "I'll get there eventually." Kalliope - unlike many other attending students, they would learn - didn't feel the need to hide who, or rather what, they were. Aside from knowing virtually nothing about the ranking system, as a siren she was pretty privileged. No matter what they said or did, they would be mostly safe; and advantage that they didn't know the importance of yet.

After a few long, silent seconds, it occurred to her that neither of them had said much else. Quick! Be less awkward! "I, uh... What's your name? I'm Kalliope. Kalliope Okeanos. Hey, if I like you enough, it'll be Kallie." Instinctively, she took a step back, taking an elaborate bow before pausing mid-movement. This isn't a human thing, is it? Once again, they straightened up, offering a handshake to Rowan with a blank expression. "Sorry. Force of habit. It's a stupid tradition from home, I couldn't forget it any faster." They seemed oddly bitter about that last part, practically spitting out the words like a child that ate something they didn't like. Anyone who didn't know them too well would wonder why they seemed so angry while speaking on their homeland. Taking a deep breath, she sighed. "Whatever. It's nice to meet you."

Tirelius’s malcontent for the girl was as obvious as the sun as his golden eyes stared her down, every fiber of his being yearned to strike but he knew better. He wouldn’t dare to risk displeasing his father so soon after arriving. So focused on containing his instincts that he barely caught any of this demons words but his eyes caught her hand instantly. He couldn’t only imagine what she was doing. Was she going to strike? Maybe cast a spell or a curse? The angels mind raced defensively at a million miles per hour before suddenly everything went still.

As her hand came to rest gently on his head his eyes widened slightly, the flood of calm, like the raging stormy seas of his mind had simply been replaced with calm sunny waters, the rage, the instincts all washed away as her hand came to lay on his head and each subsequent pat only causes a deeper surge of this calm feeling. He didn’t know what to do, nor did he know what this demon was doing to him and frankly all he could to was let her at this point. Taken so aback by the effects of whatever she did he was almost frozen in time till she removed her hand which snapped him back instantly. The shocked look quickly turned to a glare as his left hand swung up quickly and snatched the hand that was patting his head by the wrist. Unintentionally pulling the girl almost uncomfortably close as he spoke in a cold interrogating tone. “What. Did. You do. To me?” He asked as his face sat so close to hers, his burning eyes stared into the demons waiting for her answer.

Arlosk
interaction: Daniel Reaving Daniel Reaving
As she gently patted the angy angel boy arlosk found the taste of his rage and stress.. interesting clearly it had been there a long time likly not very good. but his reaction was priceless a look of stunned bewilderment seemed to cross the guys face. It was as if his brain and froze up... was he really that touch starved? Arlosk though frowning a little guy needed a hug. Luckly or maybe unlucky form what perspective you looked at it the guy had grabbed arlosk's hand pulling her really close and Arlosk kinda just going with it sorts pressed against the guy as he spoke her tail gently wrapping around his arm. "Just patted you.. oooh and siphoned off some of thst negativity you got alot of that vintage rage honestly tastes nice" she'd explain with a lack of context she wrapped her free arm around the guy and just gave him a hug draining off alot more of whatever angriness he had left.

Hestia & Euphosia
Huntertabbysandshark3 Huntertabbysandshark3
Hestia’s hair sort of followed behind him, shimmering in the light and sparkling in a Royal manner. The heels of his shoes clicked as he walked away from the two, annoyed a bit but he didn’t let it get to him too much.

The class systems among creatures was the be highly respected as it was there for a reason. Higher classes did harder jobs and lower classes did easier ones. It was simple and the S-ranks, in his opinion, should hold themselves to a certain standard which a lot of them didn’t. The blonde vampire couldn’t say he was surprised at all, I mean his is how it was out there as well.

His nose twitched a bit at a familiar scent. Those blue eyes wandered around before he simply looked back to where he was going, there were obviously more important matters to take care of. For instance, finding his room and setting it up. Tea also sounded good right about now.

Euphosia smiled widely as she learned his name, utterly adoring it and repeating it a few times.

”Zexzad… Zexzad…” A giggle that sounded like wind chimes escaped her mouth and a grin creased her features, a devious one. ”Is it because you’re zexy~?”

The snake’s voice was almost a purr as she continued with her flirting and let her tail relax back to her, no longer surrounding his legs.
