  • Backstory


    Shiroyama Kiyono was born into a world of uncertainty and out of a madwoman's mind. She was born at the time that Cold Sky, the solar her Gens was loyal to, was having her last mental break (as it would later be called in polite company). Kiyono and her twin brother Katsuro were proof of success as it were, but when they were proclaimed to creation the attention Cold Sky gained was not the sort she desired. Cold Sky and her lunar mate Steel Gryphon had engineered them in a carefully manipulated breeding program that was hidden even from the leaders of the gens.


    Kiyono and Katsuro were trained hard as youths often by Steel Gryphon who refused to accept the judgement of the Deliberative on his mate and their last great project. When their Gens broke loyalty with the remaining ruler they were left behind. They were a black stain on the house and not even their father would come to take them away (their mother having died in childbirth). Respite for the youths came when the new bearer of Cold Sky's exaltation was found. Steel Gryphon's attention fell from them and eventually they were allowed to leave. They wandered creation together applying their skills where they could and they took new names for themselves as a way of washing the sin of Cold Sky from their backs.


    Now Rin and Ryou found their way to the great city of Rathess and employment with a young solar genius, Copper Ryu. There they too blossomed and pledged themselves to his service. Both skilled craftsmen, they became some of Ryu's most trusted assistants.


    When the time of great uncertainty came Ryou refused to follow Rin into stasis. Many harsh things were said as Rin tried to convince him of the necessity of the action and Ryou refused to give up on the present. Ultimately they could not hate each other and accepted the path of the other with great sorrow.


    Gens Shiroyama


    Gens Shiroyama served Cold Sky for over four thousand years. From her base in the northern mountains they served in every capacity she needed. They were most known as manse designers and builders, but were highly educated in many forms of sorcery and artifice to better serve their master. The gens's mon can be found in many high first age manses. The twilight died of old age, but not before descending into a madness that threatened the whole prefecture, Gens Shiroyama included. Thankfully the twilight's circle was able to stop some of the crazier plans, but the careful eugenics program she and her lunar mate enacted on Gens Shiroyama was not one of them.


    After her death the gens suffered greatly as the leadership struggled to find a purpose. After disillusionment at the new incarnation of their former master the Gens pledged itself to its art and the Opal Crag province.

Posted some XP expenditure here Sherwood, let me know if I should hold off on the spell until we find some sort of resource.
 
For most spells you'll want to learn, you brought along texts to help teach you. All a part of the plan.
 
Good ol' TWH, the most OP Emerald Circle attack spell in The White Treatise (aka Arianna's blouse). Excellent choice.

I would like to take a custom charm from hundred fold facets of enlightenment. Would this be approved:

Prereq: Stone-Carving Fingers Form



This Charm enhances a Craft action using the mundane craft corresponding to the Exalt's aspect. It reduces the difficulty of the roll by one and includes a special effect based on the character's aspect.



Air is delicate but unceasing, and those things the Exalt makes with Craft(Air) require no regular maintenance.

My goal would be to have this apply in part to artifacts Rin makes. So, she might make the complex and minute component systems with craft (air) and then incorporate them into final artifact designs to reduce the maintenance requirements of the finished product. (where applicable of course)

Project Sub-Terranian Awareness


Goal: Map deposits of valuable and magical materials if any, in the area


Secondary Goal: Figure out what the hell is going on down there (Any more sub levels we don't know about, tunnels that breech the walls, that sort of thing)


Actions: Summon Earth Elementals to map out the areas around Rathess below ground.


Project Border Awareness


Goal: Detect incoming and outgoing persons, creatures and spirits around the perimeter of Rathess and provide threat level assessment to central network (may be used inside/under the city until it is cleaned up)


Secondary Goal: Patrols at greater range or with specializations


Actions: Design a flying magitech sentry that can transmit information to a manse or AI construct. Work with Ryu to manage the AI development or locate geomantic resources to upgrade an existing manse, possibly tie into the existing manse that already has a security AI. Mass produce the flying sentries using the factory cathedral.


Future Improvements: Design version that can be used to support mobile military operations.


Project Habitation Improvements


Goal: Repair the entire tram system and restore power and basic services to all areas of the city


Secondary Goal: Identify areas that can be improved upon to increase efficiency


Actions: Study original plans to assess improvements. Produce parts using the factory cathedral. Continue repair work and teams sweeping the sub levels for threats.


Project Transportation


Goal: air travel or other mode of fast travel that can be reliably spread to allied states in a modular fashion for ease of use and deployment (likely a new airship design with a range of options, think the YT ship of exalted)


Project Communication


Goal: Reliable long range communication sans spellcaster


Without the IAM network we're going to need a system to allow fast communication between PCs and allied states.


Project City Defenses


Goal: Repair the existing security bots and determine if we want more or improvements


Project Helping Hands


Goal: Design improved worker robot that can be made cheaply with ease of use in mind
