A museum heist was not an uncommon crime.

Now, Admira did almost want something a bit more exciting. At least then it'd be easier to improve her reputation as a heroine, though she was still new to the whole gig and only recently appeared on the people's radars. Still, it was a crime worth stopping, and who knew if that museum had any weird, ancient magic artifacts those villains could use to their advantage? Those criminals had been bold enough to do this all in broad daylight! So...Lunarborn to the rescue, then!

Alarms blared as police cars chased after those getaway criminals. Greatsword in hand, Admira observed the scene. Think first, her mother had told her. Admira had been trained for this thing...but first, she needed to observe the scene. Figure out the act. Where were they going to go? How could she intervene without causing too much damage to the people around them? Right, she should probably figure all that out first. She couldn't really be considered a 'hero' if her reckless actions caused too much damage.

Was she overthinking this? Maybe.

And perhaps it'd be a good idea to get to it before those other heroes stole her thunder...speaking of which...

Speaking of which...

The news station had gotten word of the museum heist, and Grace, who was working there, had gotten this info as well. Along with a few other reporters, she rushed to the museum in question, though unlike them, her goals were not centered on collecting information for a story. Unfortunately, she had not arrived in time to stop the criminals from exiting the building and running away, but all was not lost. Getting to a place hidden from the people's sight, she quickly willed her Blue Lantern suit on, replacing her civilian clothes, and with the help of her Power Ring, she took off into the sky, following the sounds of the policecar sirens to find the wanted van.

Right now, Grace, as the Sapphire Guardian, was flying overhead the line of high-speed vehicles, with the thieves' on the lead and the cops' chasing them. Like Admira, she settled on observing the scene first, from above, with a view similar to from a bird's eye. Luckily, the road was not too crowded at the moment. The sides were free from pedestrians, at least. There were still a few cars, however, some unfortunate drivers having to hastily move to the side to avoid the speeding vehicles. She'd have to be careful and pay attention to the surroundings.

Finishing her little observation, Grace dived down, drastically losing altitude, but stopped a couple of meters over the criminal's van, gliding a little to its side. She reached out her ring, and a bright blue light emerged from it, aimed at the wheels of the vehicle. A rough textured block construct formed around the tires, conjured out of her mind, intended to promote friction and slow down and stop the movement. She looked back at the policecars. They were still a distance away, so they should have time to see the intrusion and halt as well, avoiding a crash. Satisfied, she then simply hovered in the air, waiting for the cops to arrive and put these criminals away, and return the stolen artifacts to the museum. With her on watch, there was nowhere for the robbers to escape.

Admira had been caught off guard as she saw a blue light form around the tires. The criminals' vehicle skidded and although Admira could guess that the criminals were trying their best to keep their vehicle moving at full speed, it wasn't going to stop anytime soon. It seemed...strong. And Admira could guess what it could possibly be. Over the course of her own training, she had heard of various kinds of tools and powers that certain people had. Her mother had made sure of that.

Still, Admira took a moment to observe the scene before her. But with the vehicle halted, she noticed one of the criminals getting out of their van. The police cars were fast approaching, some civilians were still evacuating the area, and...said criminal took out a gun. And Admira didn't need to waste a moment further. She could do this, at least. Before the criminal could fire a single bullet, Admira hurriedly disarmed him. She raised her greatsword and, harnessing the light inside of her, shot a bolt of light toward him from her place on the rooftops.

It was a direct hit, and the gun was knocked right out of his hands. It was quick, a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kind of moment...and it certainly wasn't very flashy. Not the greatest that Admira could do, but she did something anyway. She could already hear her mother telling her in her head that she shouldn't waste her time with such frivolous, petty crime. What was stopping a heist by common, dumb criminals going to mean when she could be doing much greater things?

But they were stopped anyway. Admira could figure out what more she wanted to do later. Admira turned her head to look over at the other hero who had arrived, adorned in blue. She looked nearly majestic like that, Admira thought, and she wondered who she was. Admira was relatively newer to the hero scene, newer to this realm, in fact, and she still had yet to get used to all the other powered people that she was going to see here.

As one of the criminals got out and pulled out their gun - a foolish move, Grace thought - she made to disarm him before he managed to get someone injured, or worse. But it seemed someone had beat her to it. A bolt of light flashed in front of her, knocking the weapon out of the man's hands. Quick and smooth. Grace heard the door open at the other side of the van. The other criminal had exited, holding a gun as well, but the police had already arrived, and seeing as they were surrounded, they admitted defeat, the both of them raising their hands up in surrender.

With the thieves handcuffed, and the situation handled, personnel examining the scene to see if anyone was hurt, she decided it was safe to put down her guard. She looked around, at the direction the bolt of light had come from, in search of the person responsible. She spotted a figure on one of the rooftops, looking down at the scene. She was too far away to distinguish any of their features, but there was definitely someone up there. Grace smiled slightly. It was always nice to see another hero while on the job. Helping each other out, even if they were not really a team. Nice sense of unspoken unity within the community. She never knew how to react to this, though, but felt it would be rude not to acknowledge them. So she just nodded at the distant figure. She restrained herself from cringing at herself, feeling that was a weird and awkward gesture, even though it wasn't really.

Admira noticed the other hero notice her as well, and a small smile cracked across her face. The other heroine seemed...nice. Or was Admira really just sheltered enough for most of her life that she was mistaking something else entirely for being nice? But then again, surely the heroine must be nice...what other reason could she have had anyway to stop a crime? Perhaps it was best for Admira not to overthink this. But regardless, Admira wanted to know the other heroine more.

Sheathing her sword, Admira lifted a hand and tried to indicate that the heroine come on closer to her. Admira didn't want to call out directly to her, so as to not attract civilian attention to a meeting that Admira wanted to keep just between herself and the heroine. At the very least, it would help Admira familiarize herself with the other heroes around this area, and if she decided she didn't like the heroine, well...at least Admira would then know which heroes she'd want to avoid if she could help it.

Grace narrowed her eyes, squinting. It seemed as if the other hero was making some sort of movement. Again, she couldn't properly make out the gesture at this distance, but it looked like the figure was beckoning her to come over. The Lantern scanned her surroundings swiftly once more. Her job in the scene was done, and everything was taken care of. So, she did as Admira hoped and departed the road, flying over and coming to land on the same rooftop. As she did, she felt herself become weary of the other person, thinking of the possibility that their actions earlier with the criminal was just a ploy and that they were secretly a villain. Vut she tried to shake that away. She was probably just being over paranoid.

"So, um...hi there," Grace greeted the heroine with a small polite smile, chuckling nervously. She wasn't really sure what to say, and was subconsciously fidgeting with her fingers, though she was technically still half-aware of that fact and tried to focus her gaze on Admira instead of down on the ground. It was funny how she was quite courageous when it came to saving the day, but still got a little anxious when it came to more social situations, especially with strangers. At least she was a bit more confident as her alter ego, something about having a mask on and people not knowing who she really was.
