THE SCIENTISTS

Not a lot of people are aware of the existence of these scientists, because, well, they obviously don't make themselves known. The Lab of Superhuman Studies, or the LSS, is a secret organization who kidnaps supers (children and adults alike, though unfortunately the former seems to fall victim more often) and conducts crude experiments to understand the inner workings of superpowers and develop technology of multiple uses. Those who have been taken by the LSS are best noticed by a crescent-shaped scar on their left shoulder, but not many know what it actually means.

Unfortunately, our boys in blue at Millennium City Police Department are not all about protecting and serving. Many within the institute are corrupt and abuse their power, however, you can still find a good cop or two if you're lucky.

THE GOVERNMENT

The Government isn't exactly as great and nice as we'd like it to be. The mayor of Millennium City, Patrick Geraldardian, is a little bit of a dimwit, and is majorly controlled by some other, very scary people working for the Government. Of course, our Government also controls the well-known, lovable (jackass, he's a total jackass) Captain Powerhouse, in all his glory. Most are blind to the way things are being run. Hey, at least there's no Donald Trump in this universe.

THE SHRINE FAMILY

The Shrine family is without a doubt the most influential family in all of Millennium City, and perhaps the United States. They act as if they are of royal descent, and hell, they might as well be, with the extremely large sum their family holds, passed down through many, many, many generations. Currently, the Shrine family consists of Charleston Shrine VII and his wife, Patience Shrine, as well as their two twin children, Elizabeth and Zachary Shrine, who have just turned 18.
