See, Alex wasn't afraid of heights. He wasn't afraid of planes, or really tall buildings. Maybe he was apprehensive about it, but that was almost normal. And with a son of Zeus (Jupiter, whatever) as your boyfriend, well, you probably had to get over your fear of heights pretty quick.

Put him on a flying boat, however, that was a whole other story. Alex and boats didn't mix well, and put it not on water but instead in the air โ€” Alex was kinda doing all he could to not throw up. Maybe shutting himself inside the room that was apparently designated as his wasn't helping much either. He stood up slowly, trying to balance himself before making his way to the deck, where Leo, Laurel, and Jason were. He felt suddenly grateful that in his half asleep daze that morning he grabbed a sweater (that actually wasn't Jason's for once, take that) that was warm, cause it was incredibly cold on the deck.

"Are we almost there?" Alex asked, going to stand next to Jason but looking far away from the banister, knowing that he'd probably lose his lunch. Not that it was a lot, but still. He couldn't help but feel a sense of nervousness, though. They were going to Jason's home, where he probably had so many other friends and people he'd known longer than Alex โ€” and it wasn't as if Alex had thought many times before that Jason had to have someone back at Camp Jupiter.

He wasn't sure what to think, for the most part. That was a given, especially with Alex. He overthought everything, and he was honestly surprised that Jason hadn't found it annoying just yet. Everyone else did.

Alex leaned his head on Jason's bicep, cause that was as high as he could reach, before intertwining their fingers. "You think they're gonna be happy to see you?" He asked, closing his eyes a little to avoid seeing the clouds and to hopefully stop being nauseous. Unfortunately, no such luck, and his stomach turned a little bit. Whether it was because of nerves, or because of heights, he didn't know.

The son of Demeter definitely loved the ground more than the air, that was for sure. He was half wanting to ask again if they were almost there, but decided to not sound like a whiny child and kept his mouth shut.

Percy felt like he had been waiting for this his entire life. Which, well, it kind of felt like it. Frank and Hazel flanked his side, and he could hear Octavius' voice in the background, saying something about being on their best behavior or else the Greeks would die, but Percy really wasn't paying much attention. He could only keep watching the sky, waiting for the ship that Leo โ€” he thought that's what his name was โ€” described in the message that was sent.

Laurel. Something told him that Laurel was on that ship, and it was as if he was vibrating out of his skin with anticipation. She was the only thing he could remember, and he missed her. He missed her so much. Bits and pieces had begun to come back to his mind, the underwater kiss being the thing that stuck out the most. He wondered if she missed him. Which, was probably a stupid thing to think, but Percy was also stupid, so it worked.

"They should be here soon." Percy commented, glancing away from the sky and looking down, glancing over at Frank and Hazel. They both looked nervous, and then suddenly Hazel shoved his shoulder, pointing up at the sky. Percy glanced up, a wide smile forming on his face when he noticed the ship, taking a step forwards. He wondered if Laurel could see him, in this robe that took him forever to tie, and he realized he was thinking about her quite a lot. Whatever. He didn't care.

As the ship continued to approach, Percy noticed more minute details about it, and he could feel someone elses presence next to him, who he expected to be Reyna.

"I'd like you guys to meet my other family." Percy said, a wide smile on his face. Thank the Gods they were here. Hera stole 6 months of his life from him, and he had a girlfriend he missed more than anything. He needed to see them all, so bad.

It sucked, to have your memory played around with like it was some toy. Hera probably felt that way about all demigods, and even if she said that there was a need for it here, that without her meddling, the world would likely come to an end, Jason couldn't find it in himself to forgive her. She'd made him forget his home, and she'd invented lies about a relationship with someone he truly cared about. Or someone he came to care about, at least. Even if the memories hadn't been true, it hadn't stopped Jason and Alex from bonding, and it hadn't stopped Jason from wanting to be with him.

Right now he was just nervous about stepping back into New Rome. He missed it, of course, and he had a lot of friends back there. He'd been Praetor, alongside Reyna, and part of him was even more nervous to see her again too, since, if he recalled correctly from his memories that were slowly returning, she had a bit of a thing for him. Jason had done his best to let her down slowly, to make it clear that he wasn't interested in her that way, even if he cared for her deeply in a much more platonic way, but Jason didn't remember anything else after that so he had no clue what to expect upon landing.

But, standing out on the deck now, with Alex beside him, Jason felt content. He had his boyfriend and his best friend by his side, and it would be nice to see Laurel reunite with her boyfriend, considering he knew how long she'd spent trying to find him. These few hours of peace are something Jason knew he would take full advantage of because pretty soon, they'd be fighting for their lives, and none of them would get the chance to relax much then.

"I think so," Jason nodded as he answered Alex's question. He gave his hand a small squeeze of reassurance. "Don't worry. It's all going to be fine," he said, a small smile touching his lips as he turned his head downward a bit to look at Alex. "I've got some people to introduce you to as well," Jason added, in an attempt to get his mind off of his nausea. Bending a little further, Jason's lips pressed the top of Alex's head in a quick kiss, right as the Argo II landed at Camp Jupiter's border.

"Here we go," Jason said, gripping Alex's hand and descending the ship behind Laurel.

It had been months since Laurel had seen Percy, so of course, she was excited. For the time being, she was putting aside her anger toward Hera, for causing all of this and meddling in their lives, solely because reuniting with Percy was more important. Part of her was wondering what to expect. Leo had sent a message down to them, warning them not to fire at the ship and that they came in peace, but she didn't know much about Camp Jupiter to begin with. She was sure Percy was okay -- he always managed to hold his own, wherever he was, but part of her feared that he wouldn't remember her. After all, that had been Jason's state when he arrived. Not only did he not remember most of his past, parts of it had been fabricated. If Hera did something to make Percy forget her completely...

Deep breaths, she told herself in her mind as she stared out from behind the railing. The city of New Rome was getting closer as they began their descent, and she felt butterflies in her stomach. Glancing over to her side, she saw Alex standing beside Jason, and the sight made her smile. She was gad that after all they'd recently been through, they still had each other. Even if Jason's memories had been fabricated, it hadn't stood in the way of their feelings for each other. And Laurel knew she wasn't going to let anything come in the way of anyone's relationships again.

"Is there any way to make this thing land faster?" Laurel called out to Leo, tapping her fingers against the railing restlessly.

"Hey, you can't rush excellence, jefe," he called back, from somewhere on the deck. "We've got a long journey to make on this ship, which means we can't afford to ruin anything, equipment wise."

Laurel bit down on her lower lip. She knew he was right, but she was just eager to get down so she could finally see Percy after searching for him for all these months. Further proof of her uneasiness were the vines that began to grow from where she stood, slowly crawling and wrapping around the railing, but she barely paid it any attention, because soon, they hit the ground, and Laurel was the first one out of the ship.

A crowd had gathered around the border, and some statue with a talking head had demanded that they leave their weapons behind on the ship, which Laurel was fine with because she was in too much of a hurry so she pulled out her bronze dagger from her sheath, tossed it onto the deck of the ship, and then moved forward through the sea of people, looking for a familiar set of sea green eyes. When she finally found him though, she froze, about a few feet away. Part of her was just looking at him to see if there was any recognition, or to see if he had no clue who she was.

He looked the same, but also different. He was certainly dressed different, and he had a tattoo on his forearm. But he was still Percy. Her Percy. And just thinking about that made her unwilling to wait anymore, so she moved forward again, but instead of tackling him in a hug, she tackled him to the ground.

All around, a few people stepped forward with weapons, probably considering her actions a threat, but the moment Laurel tackled him to the ground, the expression on her face shifted to one of happiness and a little relief too. "Don't ever leave me like that again." She knew it hadn't even been his fault, but she felt the need to say it, in any case. She wasn't going to allow it to happen. Never again.

Alex nodded a little bit at Jason's words, the nerves inside him still not calmed down as the Argo II landed, Alex squeezing Jason's hand right back. As the statue declared they leave their weapons on the ship, he unclipped the silver bracelet from his wrist and set it down, following behind Jason. He almost felt as if everyone's eyes were on him as they descended from the ship, but they were probably staring at Jason. He suddenly wished that he was back on the ship in his room, hiding under his blankets and decidedly not in front of everybody else.

He let go of Jason's hand when he felt like people were staring, which apparently his brain liked to tell him that they were. They probably weren't, but his stupid brain didn't care. He let out a nervous breath, standing behind Leo and Jason as Laurel surged forwards to meet Percy. Which honestly, made Alex feel a little warm and fuzzy on the inside, especially because he had been hearing from Laurel for weeks about how excited she was to see Percy again. He didn't blame her at all, but also, what was that weird toga thing he was wearing?

"Did they make you wear that thing too, Jase?" He asked, before almost bursting into a fit of nervous giggles, a couple heads turning in his direction. He steeled his expression when someone โ€” a girl, it seemed โ€” who looked incredibly regal, wearing the same toga thing Percy was, and Alex suddenly felt his heart sink into his stomach. So this was Reyna.

Alex stuck his hand out, knowing that he'd have to get this part over with eventually. "I'm โ€” Arabella. Daughter of Demeter. Ceres." He said, hoping to the Gods above that Reyna would shake his hand and not make a fool out of himself. Hopefully she didn't catch the full body cringe that came along with him saying his dead name.

He didn't know these people, though, and he certainly didn't trust them. When Reyna finally shook his hand, he let go and shoved it back into his sweater pocket, knowing that his hands were disgustingly sweaty from just how nervous he was. Don't worry, his ass. Alex was going to worry as much as he damn well pleased. He sent a nod in Leo and Laurel's direction, taking note of the two that flanked Percy's side as well. Those must be the other two in their seven. It would make sense, if they were, considering just how damn closed they looked to taking Laurel's head off when she tackled Percy.

Great. Now he had more people to work up the courage to come out to.

Percy had never been more excited to see a boat in his entire life. As the Argo II came into view, Percy felt himself begin to move through the crowd a little bit, watching the Argo II, if he remembered correctly, land down in the grass outside of New Rome. Someone began to descend from the ship, and Percy, as cliche as it sounded, felt as if time was moving in slow motion as he watched Laurel begin to move through the crowd.

When her eyes landed on him, though, he felt something click together that was missing for six months. His brain had been played with, his memories picked apart and put back together, but yet he still remembered her. Although, quite honestly, Percy was expecting a hug, not being tackled to the cobble street. "It's good to see you too." He said with a slight laugh, before pressing a kiss to her forehead. "I don't... remember a whole lot. But I remember you." He said softly, before sitting up and helping her stand up, resting a hand on her back before turning to the rest of the people that came with Laurel. He couldn't remember all their names, but he did recognize the one from the video. Leo, and the blonde one, he must have been the praetor before him, Jason, but the girl standing behind them โ€” he couldn't remember her name.

"Laurel, this is Hazel, and Frank. They're the other ones in the prophecy." Percy said, before turning to Jason and nodding. "I'm assuming they made you wear a toga like this too?" He asked Jason, trying to diffuse the situation just a little bit, and he could feel Reyna's eyes burning into his back, suddenly realizing that he was quite crap at this, most of the time.

"Reyna โ€” is there a spot we can talk about this? The prophecy?" He asked his co-praetor, his hand never leaving from Laurel's back as he spoke.[ Reyna was almost staring at him funny, before jerkily nodding, turning around and heading to where Percy assumed they'd be able to talk. He looked at Laurel, shrugged a little bit, before beginning to follow, glancing behind him to make sure everyone else was following too. He really needed to talk to everybody.

Jason looked over at Alex when he asked if he had to wear the toga too, and Jason laughed -- but it was a sentiment that was not shared by many others. Nobody besides Leo, really. He had a feeling that if Laurel and Percy were paying attention then they might have laughed too, but they were busy with each other, and Jason couldn't blame them really. he only had to imagine if he was away from Alex for that long and he knew it would be hard for Jason to keep his hands off of him once they reunited. He didn't need his past memories. He knew that right now, in the present, Alex was easily one of the most important people in his life. Looking to Percy as he spoke, Jason laughed a little and nodded. "All the time."

As Alex went to introduce himself to Reyna, Jason felt a little tense. He had no idea how that encounter would go down, and he was going to stick to Alex's wishes of referring to him by his dead name, and because he could sense Alex's nervousness, Jason was just protectively hovering around him, ready to come to his defense if need be. "It's good to see you, Reyna," he told his former co-praetor before gesturing to both Alex and Leo. "You know Arabella, and that right there is our master mechanic, Leo."

Leo had a grin on his face and he walked right up to Reyna with his hand out. "Pleasure's all mine." Jason bit back a laugh at his very obvious attempt to flirt. Reyna definitely noticed and she offered him a polite yet stern smile, but refused to shake his hand, instead looking toward Percy and Laurel before beginning to lead them off.

Jason went to hold Alex's hand again, since he had let go of it once they landed. "You doing okay so far?" He asked, purely out of concern, as he led him along the path, Leo trailing behind. All around, he spotted a few lyres, who had come up to see what all the commotion was about. Reyna had led them to her office, which would be a private enough place to sit and discuss the prophecy. Now that they were all together, they needed to sort this thing out and get a move on, because as always, there was a deadline, and they didn't have a lot of time to spare.

The moment they got into Reyna's office, Jason felt a sense of familiarity, as well as a mild throbbing in his head, like a memory waiting to rise to the surface but being unable to because of some barrier. Jason pinched the bridge of his nose briefly before letting his hand fall back down to his side again as everyone else in the room stood around in different areas.

"So, we should probably discuss the first plan of action, right?" Jason turned to Percy since he was more or less the other 'leader' figure. "What happened while you were here, at Camp Jupiter?"

The moment Laurel saw Percy's smile, she felt a whole lot better. He remembered her. That was all she could really hope for at this point because the world was in danger and they were all probably going to die, but for those few days, she'd at least function better knowing that Hera hadn't messed him up completely. He remembered her, and that was all that mattered to her right now.

She got up when he helped her up, and she dusted herself off before now realising how people were looking. Many with their guards up, though they seemed to back off when Percy stood and seemed unharmed. So he really was already seen as a leader here. When Percy turned to Jason, Laurel took the liberty to introduce them all to the others, to get that out of the way. "That's Jason, whom you obviously already know. There's Leo, and that's Arabella." She had to catch herself to keep from saying Alex. She knew he didn't want to come out to the others yet since they were all strangers to him, and Laurel would never disrespect his wishes.

When Reyna began to lead them off, Laurel intertwined her finger's with Percy's. Now that she had been reunited with him, she didn't really feel like letting go. Just a simple touch was all she needed to be reassured that this was real and that he was actually back by her side. She couldn't risk losing him. Not again, and after so long.

"You've got a tattoo," Laurel pointed out, nodding to his forearm. "Did it hurt?" it looked a little big. Laurel had always wanted to get one, but she was terrified of needles so she didn't think she could. She was admittedly curious about how they did it for him. Camp Jupiter didn't seem like the type of place to have a tattoo parlour.

They were soon in a secluded area -- an office, that Laurel assumed belonged to Reyna, and once upon a time Jason too. There were a few beverages set up, which led Laurel to believe that she had intended to bring their little group here from the start, but Laurel wasn't really thirsty at the moment. She was more interested in hearing the answer to Jason's question, and hearing about what exactly Percy had been up to while he was here. Obviously a lot of he already had two incredibly loyal friends. Laurel was happy about it, happy that Percy hadn't been alone.

Alex felt as if he was being scrutinized by everyone here. Which, again, they probably weren't, but his brain took the maybe three pairs of eyes, max, that were looking at him, and multiplied it. Not everything is about you, that voice in the back of his head, which sounded a whole lot like his stepmom, whispered, causing a little shudder to run down his spine.

He was almost distracted, a little hum leaving his lips at Jason's question before recognizing what he said. "Oh, uh, yeah. I just โ€”" he cleared his throat, giving Jason's hand a squeeze. He felt so out of his depth. "I feel like everyone's staring at me. Like they know."

Alex had expressed this fear to Jason before. His secret being out in the open, for everyone to see and know and judge. Just even introducing himself as Arabella made his skin crawl, and he tried to distract himself with the sights of New Rome. Jason's home. Or, well, what once was. The place was beautiful, he had to admit. His home back in Hanover didn't even feel like a home, more like an empty shell of what it once was, when Alex was younger. He partly blamed Andrea for that, but there wasn't anything he could do. Camp Half Blood couldn't be considered his home just yet, he barely knew the place.

He shook his head, as if to say drop it, and followed everyone into the room. His wrist felt almost naked without his bracelet, and he turned to Jason when he noticed him pinching the bridge of his nose, his brows furrowing but deciding to not say anything. He took a seat at the table, chewing the inside of his cheek a little nervously as conversation started around them. As it began, though, he let his mind wander, knowing that he probably wouldn't be invited in on the conversation just yet.

He caught eyes with Laurel from across the table, smiling a little as he heard Leo begin explain the Argo II, the mechanics of it and whatnot. Alex quite honestly tended to fall asleep during this bit of Leo's explanation. He loved the guy to death, don't get him wrong, but his knowledge of anything mechanical was incredibly minimal to begin with, Alex could barely keep up with Leo when he began talking about something or other.

He listened to Percy as he began to talk about what he had gotten up to at Camp Jupiter, feeling just a tad bit better about the fact that the guy and his friends had to go on a quest as well, and it wasn't just Alex, Leo, and Jason. He'd quite honestly be just a little bit jealous if Hera didn't make them go on a quest. He'd heard all about Percy Jackson though, from Laurel and everyone else that he talked to at Camp Half Blood. It was quite odd meeting the guy finally.

Percy nodded at the people that came with Laurel as she introduced them, trying to remember everyone's names. Leo, Jason, Arabella. He could remember that. Hopefully. He smiled down at his girlfriend as she took his hand, nodding at Hazel and Frank to follow them as Reyna began to guide them. He quite honestly missed this. He missed her, the only person he felt like he genuinely trusted.

He gave Laurel's hand a squeeze as they began to walk with Reyna, before letting out a little snort at Laurel's question. "Quite honestly, it felt like my arm was on fire." He said as he glanced down at his arm, the SPQR tattoo with the single line on his forearm. "But I'm now a member of two camps, I guess." He said with a little shrug, before stepping inside the office that he presumed belonged to Reyna. Everyone soon filed in, and he nodded a little bit at Jason's question.

"Well, for starters, we โ€” me, Hazel, Frank โ€” had to travel up to Alaska. Free the god Thanatos, a quest given to us by Mars. Ares. Whatever." He said, before blowing out a soft breath. "And then when that was all said and done, we came back here, fought off the giants that were attacking the camp. And then you guys showed up." He was probably explaining this in the most nonchalant manner, but quite honestly, he didn't feel like explaining every single detail. He figured that if he was asked for more details, he'd give them, but for right now it didn't really matter in his mind. He got the big picture.

"And you guys? Camp Half Blood? What exactly happened in the... six months I was gone?" He asked, doing the quick calculation in his head. Hera (Juno? Would he call her Juno?) had said something about him slumbering for six months, so maybe that was right. He wasn't sure. Leo and Jason began their explanation (Arabella didn't really talk much, he realized) of what exactly went on, Percy almost clinging on to every word. He missed home. Leo began explaining the ship, the Argo II, before reaching into his pocket, a frown forming on his face.

"I think I left something on the ship, actually, that I needed. I'll be back. Don't go on the tour without me." Leo commented, before leaving the room in almost a flash. Percy's eyebrow raised a little bit.

"Is he always like that?" Because, damn, he knew that demigods had ADHD, but Leo was ADHD shot into hyperspace.

Jason listened to Percy as he explained what had happened at Camp. Jason felt a little bad that he hadn't been around to help everyone here, but Percy had handled it pretty well on his own, with the help of everyone else, and what mattered was that they'd all survived the war. However, it was hardly the beginning, and Jason knew that. There was much more to come, and they had to get moving soon enough, once they figured out where to go. There was also the matter of needing to obviously unite both camps, which was why they were all gathered here, and hopefully, that wouldn't be hard.

When Leo got up to go tot he ship, Jason arched an eyebrow but said nothing. It was not uncommon for him to get up and do something else, he was always restless, though this was a pretty important conversation so he was just surprised, is all.

Returning to the conversation, Jason answered Percy's question. "Yeah, that's Leo for you," he said with a small laugh. "Well, I guess since we know what happened so far in both camps, we should probably discuss Hera's other intention -- uniting Camp Half Blood and Camp Jupiter."

Laurel had nodded and looked to Reyna since she was the official praetor here and Percy, being from another camp originally, was obviously going to provide a bit of a biased opinion. Reyna had to believe that they could combine forces for the good, instead of remaining enemies, which Jason believed was pointless right now.

"There's something else," Laurel said. "We need--"

She stopped abruptly in her sentence and Jason looked up at the same time because at that very moment, there was a loud sound outside. Almost like an explosion. Following that, there were a few screams and people running with weapons. Or at least, Jason was sure he heard the metal clang of weapons, people probably preparing for something.

Instinctively, he grabbed Alex's hand while looking around. Nobody else knew what was going on.

It was all going really well. Much better than Laurel expected since these two camps were supposed to be enemies. But, as much as Laurel hated Hera, she had to admit that it was a good idea to have the leaders of both camps switch in an attempt to foster peace. That was what they needed if they wanted to fight Gaia because neither camp would survive if they did it on their own.

She was about to come up and talk about something Chiron had told her back in camp, but before she got the chance, something like an explosion sounded right outside the office and her eyes widened. They couldn't be under attack... could they?

Not thinking, Laurel shot to her feet and rushed outside, only to see the Argo up in the air, canons out and aimed at Camp Jupiter. "What the hell?" What was Leo thinking? Something was obviously wrong but... well, this didn't exactly paint a very good picture when both camps were trying to come to a kind of alliance agreement.

"You and your camp have nothing but bad intentions for this camp!" Laurel turned to see a skinny, pale guy walking up and pointing his finger at her. Her hand moved to her sheath but she realised she didn't have her dagger.

Reyna came forth. "Octavian--"

"No! The Greeks have always been a menace. You started this, and we will end it." And it seemed that a lot of people seemed to believe in what Octavian was saying, even though it wasn't true. When he ran off to join the others that were preparing themselves for the worst, Reyna looked at them all with a stern gaze.

"This is a misunderstanding, I--" Laurel tried to speak up in their defense but Reyna silenced her with her own words.

"Go. Leave now, because Octavian won't back down."

Laurel looked at her, and then at the others, not knowing what to do or say, but she knew that Octavian was building his army by the second which meant that nobody would listen to them. The damage had already been done. They had to leave.
