moral alignment: Roy's moral compass is warped, but functional. As a former gang member he developed a somewhat sour view of the world. cause of death: maia died out in the ocean with her friends. a time for a bit of fun turned for the worse went she went to retrieve her friend's fallen bracelet and made the mistake of splashing too much. a shark came for her unexpectedly, grabbed her by her right calf and pulled her deeper. struggling made it worse, but she panicked, she was distressed. despite being a trained lifeguard, her first instinct was to breathe in. her foot felt like it would to rip right off, the shark loosened its jaws a few times but her flesh was stuck in its teeth. by the time the shark managed to let go of, that by biting the whole lower part of her leg right off, she had lost consciousness. the water turned blood red as she sank.

biography​

maia was the youngest in a family of men. by three, her mother had left her dad with four children back to her home in the american mainland. nobody knew why. later that year, they moved to the coast of north carolina in pursuit of her, but alas they never saw her again.

aaron, gabriel, julian, maia were as close as any siblings could ever be. without another parent figure to properly care for the household, they took responsibility and brought order to the home with chores, rules and some nice cooking.

maia had never been a girly girl as a child. she was however a bit of a sensitive ball, prone to a bit of teasing but a lot of empathy. eventually, she learned to hide it though instead using it to a more unethical extent when she got older. rather took interest in her brothers when her father isn't home off to his stupid goose chase.

they let her play football and spend time together at the local beach. there, came her love for the sand, the sun and the ocean. in her pre-teen years, aaron has been officially nicknamed the mom and wise man of the family bestowing upon her an appreciation for books. julian was an avid dancer who gave her much of her sense of humour. while gabriel kept taking her to the beach, companionship and a love for the ocean under the sun.

she learned to swim and surf, dive and snorkel, all the things she saw amazed her and the water felt so so natural to be around. rolled in at 14 when she began to attend competitions, losing the first few but winning the rest. support from her brothers was always warming her heart, and to return their love, she supported their dreams and more.

remember sensitive young maia? see, as she matured, so did her control over her emotions became stronger. she understood them and their influences towards other people and used it. granted, she wanted to do a bit of good.

maia charmed her brothers' crushes and they got the girlfriends of their dreams. among other things, she made people do her favours, lying about her experiences to encourage a friend to get therapy and guilt tripping her father for not spending enough time with them.

these things in one way or another was beneficial at the time. but those girls broke their hearts, those people felt used, her friend felt tricked albeit understanding and her father was still unaware. it soon grew into self interest. putting people down so they don't challenge her for the swim team captain title. getting people to spill their secrets so she has leverage against them.

not to mention that this was when she developed her more reckless streak from her usual calmer demeanour. she wanted to fill a little loneliness she felt when two of her brothers moved out of the house; one for a lover and another for an out of state college. she started to have a lot of casual sex (safe sex of course), to the point of screwing around with other people's boyfriends to see drama spark and unfold. she even admitted in some cases for an enhanced chaotic effect. all this inevitably led up to the climax of her ways being exposed by gabriel.

things were calmer then. she attended college with an interest in psychology, only to drop out in favour of a swim trainer and four years of lifeguard duty. recently, she's also seeing someone, but she didn't live long enough to go to their second date.
