My Slave

JustCallMeAimee

Shamu the Exasperating ignoramus

In the world where the two both live it isn't a good thing to be a supernatural, and it's even worse to be part of the rebellion. Muse A is both of these things and up until recently had been getting away with it as an outlaw with said rebellion. After being captured in a effort to save their group Muse A is taken to the auction houses where Muse B shows an interest. However Muse B isn't a kind person, they're an extremely wealthy general in the governments army and they pride themselves on their loyalty to their country. After taking an interest Muse B wins the auction for Muse A and takes his/her prized possession home.

Cages lined the rooms like steel beasts, the cold stone walls loomed over them. Bustles of wealthy people sat in rows of chairs before a small wooden stage. A few however browsed the the goods on sale, hands stuffed in his pockets Alec walked parallel to the cages taking little interest in the cargo sat there; werewolves, pixies, fairies, vampires...you name any supernatural or fantasy being it probably sat in one of those dank piss stained cages. Turning his nose up he ran his hand along the bars as he past making dull thuds against the metal. He stopped suddenly and turned to observe inside one of the cages, a girl. Young, her skin an odd tint of grey and ears pointed. Alec leaned up against the bars and watched her, interest flickering in his green eyes.

Dust sat with her knees loosely up in front of her, with her arms resting on them. She leaned against the bars behind her looking out at the humans wandering about. She couldn't help feeling a twinge of frustration, from having to sit in the cramped space for so long while she watched the humans behave as they always did with that irritating superiority. One of them came to a stop in front of her. His eyes looked her over in a way that made her feel like an object. Like he was trying to decide if the bow he was handed by the wood carver, was as good as what was said about it. Her purple eyes pierced back at him, but that was the extent of the defiance she allowed herself. Doing much more would only anger someone which would cause then to pay more attention to her, which is would be the opposite of helpful if she were to attempt to escape this wretched place.

Laughing quietly he raised an eyebrow at her and leant off the bars. Looking towards the stage he watched people make their way to their seats and smiled cockily, he knocked his knuckles against the bars to get her attention and waved. It was a sarcastic action in Alec's part. Shoving his hands into his pockets he walked off to go take his seat amount the others.

Dust didn't dignify the human with a response. She turned her head, looking down at her lap instead of watching him walk away. She sighed brushing her fingers through her hair, removing the locks from her hair for a moment, before releasing them again. She watched as different creatures were brought up to the stage where biddings took place. She could hear the murmur of voices, but couldn't quite make out what was being said. Suddenly her cage was thrown open and she was roughly dragged out in front of the audience. The auctioneer shouted something about her, but she was too dazed to figure out what it was.

Alec crossed his legs and watched them being up the young woman. Intrigued he leant forward and was the first to place his bid with a rise of his hand and the auctioneer shouted numbers at the ordinance. Despite others also betting Alec was persistent and in the end won his prize although he paied a hefty price.

Dust felt so many eyes on her and made her uncomfortable. When she heard the audience begin to big, she wanted desperately to run. She didn't have a destination in mind. There was just a strong need to get out of here. She was held firmly in place, they must have done this a few times before. She watched the bidding come to an end. Her heart rate picking up a bit of speed. She looked over the person that got the last bid in. He was recognizable as the man who had pressed his face against her cage earlier. She wasn't sure if she liked the idea of him having bought her. Not that she liked the idea of anyone having possession of her.

Alec watched quietly as his prize was moved off the stage to be collected else where, standing he moved to go and do so. His footsteps hollow on the uneven stone ground he made his way to the back room and pushed himself through the door. The young woman stood there with a wild look in her eyes that caused him to smile. Guards held her in place. Stepping closer Alec places his hands on the girls shoulders and told the guards to leave.

Dust felt unsettled by the expression on the man's face as he approached her. A shiver ran up her spine as he stood in front of her. A repulsiveness overwhelmed her when he touched her. She kept herself from shoving his hands off of her. Her senses seemed to flare. She was entirely aware of her surroundings. Which meant she was also entirely aware that she had no where to go. She was cornered, but she wasn't going to cower. That wouldn't help her. Although she wasn't sure if she would cower if it ever became necessary. She gritted her teeth, staying silent- waiting for his next move.

He laughed quietly moved to handcuff her. There was a brief silence before he spoke, "I'm Alec, tell me your name." He demanded and attached a chain the cuffs so he could pull her along. Gripping the chain he pulled her along and back out of the door that slowly swung behind them.

Dust stumbled after Alec, finding the tug unnecessary. She wanted to rebel and keep her name from him, but it would be a childish act. What was so important about her name? So she took as pause long enough to annoy the human before she answered, "Dust," she finally answered, giving him the one word.

Leading her away to a car outside he laughed quietly, "nice name."

He opened the passenger door and stepped aside for her to get in.
