Tab Two: Introduction & Case File. "Hell is empty and all the devils are here."

The work of hunting down the nation's most prolific serial killers is nothing short of terrifying. Understanding the criminal mind takes nerves of steel, a sharpened skill set, and a bright mind. Why do these murderers do what they do, what makes them tick, where are they located, and what could they do next?

These questions, and the monumental task of hunting these offenders down, is executed by the Behavioral Analysis Unit, or BAU, of the FBI. They are an elite team of America's most brilliant minds working together as criminal profilers to understand the behavior of predators, killers, and terrorists alike to pinpoint their stressors, triggers, and motivations, in order to prevent them from hurting anyone else.

The unit is carefully curated, with each of it's agents possessing a specific skillset that makes them a valuable asset to the team. With each new case comes a new trauma to face, a new horror to stare deep into and try to understand. Only time will tell if these agents can continue to bear the weight of dozens of lives on their shoulders.

CASE FILE 17-1-00346, dubbed by the media as the Butterfly Collector Case. Throughout states in the Northwestern region of the United States, cases of missing women from ages twenty one to twenty five were garnering national media attention as the disappearances were evidently linked together due to eyewitness accounts of the abductions. How they were abducted was the main question: all seven of the women abducted, within a two year period, were all attractive brunettes who were physically active and maintained a bright happy life, often described as social butterflies. Yet, one day they were living their lives as normal, and the next they had vanished out of thin air. Some women were abducted as far as from Helena, Montana, and another from Redding, California. How does a human being simply vanish?

Nestled deep in the deciduous forests of Washington is the Skonieczny estate, seemingly occupied only by the unsub who was identified as Dominik Skonieczny, and his teenage daughter, Aleksandra. The estate is made up of acres of property, rolling green grass and trees as far as the eye can see as it borders a major forest in the sate of Washington. Within it, a mansion, absolutely massive for only two family members, with twisting hallways and curious paths leading in and out of the home. Despite its solitude, the house is like new, the gardens are well maintained, and in the backyard garden is a large, gorgeous greenhouse. Flower bushes as far as the eye can see give color to the scene, and within the greenhouse, dozens and dozens of brilliantly colored butterflies.

And within the greenhouse, Skonieczny's own curated butterfly collection.

He had an eye for beauty, he claimed, for preserving beauty within an individual so it does not become tarnished from the hardships of life. A butterfly is a fragile thing, after all. Naming his victims after different species of butterfly, Dominik was proud of his collection; however, he'd kept it private for the sake of his own reputation. And while the idea, for the most part, had been his—it was no surprise that he had his accomplices; one in particular standing out. His daughter, a young woman who'd been conditioned to work alongside him and raised accustomed to his habits. It seemed she was a child doomed from the start, left with her twisted father after her mother died in childbirth. If one compared his "butterflies" to photographs of his late wife, one would note the striking similarities in physical features. The police considered not only Aleksandra as an accomplice, but the landscapers and housekeeping as well. There were three employees who helped maintain the Skonieczny estate: a live-in nanny, a housekeeper, and a landscaper. When they realized the horrors happening within the home's walls, the nanny took it upon herself to stay with Aleksandra, to keep her under a watchful eye and protect her from her father's wrath. The other employees decided the same. They couldn't bring themselves to leave, as they had been hired since before she was born, and the guilt weighed on them tremendously.

What made the cards all fall into place were two eyewitness accounts of the abductions of the last two victims. It had taken some time to find actual witnesses, but they were both seen stuffed into a vehicle of the same color, make, and they even got partial numbers from the license plate. By the time the FBI and local authorities had arrived at the Skonieczny estate, the Gardener escaped and went into hiding. His daughter and the help were arrested and interrogated as they tried to figure out where Dominik had fled to, but their efforts were futile. Seven victims were found alive and physically healthy and cared for, but the mental scars of the ordeal would likely never fade. The first victim had been held in captivity for nine years.

The Butterfly Collector case went cold in 2017 after the victims were rescued, as the FBI were unable to find Dominic Skonieczny, no matter how hard they looked. The case is considered one of the most depraved and chilling investigations they have ever worked, but eventually, they had to move on.

Until, four years later, a gift was sent to the round table of the BAU conference room. Inside a beautifully wrapped gift box was glass frame containing a delicately pinned butterfly, with wings of brilliant pearlescent blue and black. The Papilio chikae, also known as the Luzon Peacock Swallowtail butterfly. Even more concerningly, the butterfly name of Skonieczny's first victim.

The Gardener is back, and ready to pull the Behavioral Analysis Unit into the darkest game of cat and mouse.

Tab Three: The Roles. THE LEADER. What can't they do? The Leader is the BAU's Unit Chief, handling the darkest and most depraved cases that humanity has to offer, and the mountains of red tape and paperwork that come afterwards. Level headed, collected, and strikingly intelligent, they're a chronic workaholic yet capable of handling such a taskforce. Don't mess with the individual who stares into the abyss, unflinching. | STATUS: OPEN.

THE MUSCLE. A force to be reckoned with, don't mistake the Muscle as only the brawns of the group. They are the strongest and most adept at fighting of the BAU, possibly an instructor for other FBI trainees when they're not handling cases, but they possess an equal level of intellect to the rest of their unit and they make that fact well known. And they're not just adept at hand-to-hand combat, but all types of firearms as well. | STATUS: OPEN.

THE GENIUS. The Genius is exactly that, a genius and childhood prodigy, intelligent far beyond their years and an extremely valuable asset to the team. Whether their focus be on criminal psychology, methodology of offenders, the science of the human brain, or even the linguistics of an individual, they are an informational sponge and the unit's walking talking encyclopedia. | STATUS: CLAIMED BY low fidelity low fidelity .

THE ENIGMA. There's not much known about the Enigma, and their presence on the team makes others curious. They were recommended with a long list of accomplishments, and their work in the field solving cases is extremely admirable. But, if you try to look into them, or read anything about their past from their personnel file, much of the information has been redacted or simply doesn't exist. Where did they come from? | STATUS: OPEN.

THE MEDIC. Throughout the years, the BAU learned sooner or later, they would need someone with medical expertise to keep the unit alive in the field. The Medic is that person, an individual well versed in medical expertise and criminology alike. Hunting down serial killers comes with a price; sometimes, agents in the field get seriously hurt, and so having the Medic at their side is the best chance for survival. | STATUS: OPEN.

THE HACKER. The BAU's very own mission control, the Hacker is just what the name says: an extremely talented hacker, knowledgeable in all things digital. Gathering information on the fly for the team as they're out on the field is their specific expertise, and they are the backbone of the BAU. Even if their methods aren't entirely legal, they are a vital asset for hunting criminals, and not someone to be underestimated. | STATUS: CLAIMED BY Takuwan Takuwan .

THE NEWBIE. The most recent addition to the BAU is the Newbie, a fresh face who has recently graduated out of the FBI academy and been amazingly accepted into the FBI's most elite unit. With a long list of recommendations and some suspicious family connections within the Bureau, their quick ascension has raised some eyebrows. Time will tell if they can keep up with the heavy weight of what the BAU does. | STATUS: OPEN.

Tab Four: The Rules. RULE ONE: First and foremost, please follow all RPN rules. Drama, bullying, or bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated, we always intend for our group roleplays to be safe spaces to all. This roleplay is entirely inspired by the crime drama show, Criminal Minds. Similar to the source material, this roleplay will include serious themes of heavy violence, serial killers, murder, and criminal psychology. Trigger warnings will be enforced. Please be 18+ if you'd like to join.

RULE TWO: Please know that a Discord server will be made once the cast is chosen. Personally, I find it really great to have a server for easy OOC chatting and convenient plotting. Be aware of this if you’re interested in joining! Not only that, but we'll likely be experimenting with Discord integrations for some fun interesting interactions with characters through group text chats, and perhaps even dice rolls to determine the outcomes of major decisions. Exciting stuff!

RULE THREE: Previous knowledge or familiarity with the show Criminal Minds isn't necessary! You can join without having seen the show, though I would recommend maybe taking a peek at the wiki to understand the source material, themes, and plot ideas we'll be exploring.

RULE FOUR: Please know that literacy is a must. This will be what most would consider a "literate to advanced" roleplay, where we expect good grammar, literacy, engaging writing, and 400+ word count multi-paragraph replies. I won't be meticulously counting your replies words, but I do hope to see fun detailed writing. No one liners.

RULE FIVE: The world has gone a bit crazy as of late, so Taku and I understand that not everybody can be on daily. Once the roleplay has started, please be able to post once or twice a week, but also keep in mind we'd really like folks who are happy to chat OOC and contribute to plot discussions and such!

RULE SIX: This is not first come first served! If enough interest is garnered, there will be an application process, which means we will be reading through each character and considering which ones would fit best for what we have in mind. This isn’t to be picky, but to maintain a standard of writing quality that maintains immersion for everyone.

i am the storm that is approaching

  • NAME: Ethan Cole Saver.

NICKNAMES: Eth (pronounced ee-f); Mr No-One.

    AGE: Thirty-three years old.

    GENDER: Cisgender male; he, him.

    SEXUALITY: Heteroromantic demisexual.

ETHNICITY: Caucasian (second generation Greek-American to Ethan Cole Saver Sr. and Layla Galanos).

    NATIONALITY: American.

    RELIGION: Christianity - Roman Catholic.

"It is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key."
    -- [Redacted]

HAIR: Naturally a medium brown, Ethan’s hair is dyed dark brown – almost black. Polar to his time as an austere lawyer, he has allowed his hair to grow to considerable lengths: marginally above shoulder-length, it is the fine line between wavy and curly, and is no more than pushed back behind the ears in a parting on the left. But he sometimes keeps it slicked straight back when it refuses to cooperate.

    EYES: Dark brown.

SKIN: Fair skin with several moles on his left cheek. Also, Ethan has vague stubble as he received laser hair removal in his mid-twenties.

    HEIGHT: 5’10” (178cm).

    WEIGHT: 158lbs (72kg; 8% body fat).

BUILD: Mesomorph; although Ethan appears smaller than your average mesomorph body type - still covered by ostentatious suits which suggest a life wasted - he is a teenage boy’s idea of the ‘peak’ male build.

VISION: Ethan deals with long-sightedness; however, he solely wears contact lenses, never glasses.

AILMENTS: Not an ailment in and of itself but Ethan was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and to be more specific: Asperger’s syndrome. The clinical depression and generalised anxiety disorder that derived from meandering in a world that never accommodated for the neurodivergent, and punished him for it, are the ailments.

    FACE CLAIM: Owen Hamze.

black, rarely ever styled; not one to pay much attention to his appearance, his hair is often tousled, sometimes messy -- however, overall, smooth and thick. he tends to keep his hair shorter, manageable--opting for a haircut that requires little to no maintenance. on the oilier side, the man is sure to shower everyday, keeping it fresh and clean.

    eyes.

ricky's eyes are pools of dark brown that reflect little color in the light, most would mistake them for being black. the dark circles under his eyes are indicative of sleepless nights and caffeine addiction; they are somewhat hooded with thick black lashes. his scleras are riddled with a bit of redness, irritation from constantly staring multiple computer screens at once.

    skin.

a light olive color with little to no blemishes, aside from the random scars from his own clumsiness (mainly from accidentally burning himself on his own kitchen appliances). with only a few (5) small tattoos, they are sporadically placed upon his skin, haphazardly, often random with no particular meaning, most being out of impulse.

    height.

ricky stands at a 6'0" or 182.88 cm, his height often being pesky; a man who struggles to be seated in areas due to his height, most of it from his long legs.

    physical conditions.

regarding his physical condition, it's a surprise that ricky is in good health--or so he claims; the man rarely makes his doctor's visits and indulges in an overload of caffeine, nicotine, and junk food.

ricky, unfortunately, suffers from depression. however, he does his best to cover it up for the sake of others, as well as to avoid speaking on it.

What is life without security and danger?

  • Full Name: Cleiton Felipe Manuel Torres-Perez.

    Nicknames: Clei.

    Role: The Medic.

    Age: 30.

    Gender: Male.

    Sexuality: Bisexual.

    Ethnicity: Hispanic (Brazilian-Venezuelan.)

    Nationality: Brazilian-American.

    Religion: Nonpracticing Christian.

Hair: Cleiton usually styles his hair short and neat to keep the curls on top of his hair controlled, though if he goes too long without a hair cut, he feels it makes him look too much like how he was before. Unruly and unkempt. The colour of his hair is a simple brown, though it lightens in the summer sun and darkens during the colder winter months.

    Eyes: Medium Brown.

Skin: His skin resembles a golden bronze naturally, though it tans and darkens quicker under the sun.

    Height: 185cm. (6')

    Weight: 90 kilos (~200 pounds)

Physical Build: Cleiton holds a mesomorph body type, gaining muscle fairly easily and keeping it on much easier. He could be classified as a 'big guy' with apparent wide shoulders and visible muscle definition on his body.

    Face Claim: Cauã Reymond

Voice: Both in English and Portuguese

    Blood Type: O+

Physical Conditions: Cleiton is considered in tip top shape, with almost no physical ailments that could come to his detriment. With a healthy diet and a good exercising routine, he's reduced the risks of getting many diseases linked with bad life hygiene, and he tries to live a relatively clean and active life for his own health and safety.

Mental Conditions: What he makes up in physical condition, he lacks in the mental department. Stuck with some rooted PTSD from his past life in Brazil, which he is oddly secretive about, navigating his every day life while upholding his demanding job keeps him tense and on edge when in a vulnerable position.

Vice(s): Prone to secrecy about himself, tendency to mask his feelings.

    Extra/Skills:
-Speaks Portuguese, Spanish and English fluently, and has picked up French for fun on the side.
-Knows self defense, and has even gone as far as getting Krav Maga classes for his own reassurance.

Physical Build: Muscular/jacked- Athletic

Vice(s): Drinking- Whisky, scotch and rum mostly. Formerly pill addiction before rehab usually pills that helped with the pain and/or helped him forget certain things. Aka; numb the pain and guilt.

DISPOSITION -
Personality:
Before the Army; Jackson was a bright, outgoing and joyful young man that could occasionally make people laugh or tell a story or two. He was your typical or non typical (perhaps?) sweetheart, all American athlete destined for a scholarship to some major university. However upon joining the army after college, experiencing life as a army ranger and all the horrors he witnessed, blood he spilled and lives he saw lost during the war or his time in it. He changed, starting to bottle things up more and more, drinking more. Losing himself, while trying to be the perfect soldier and special ops ranger that didn’t lose a brother or sister in arms or a civilian lost in the line of fire. The longer time went on the more guilt and pain he felt over every loss. Leading to a series of issues over the years some he still battles.

Slowly he’s gotten better, not quite the same young man he was once, but still as good a person as ever. Simply troubled. Haunted by old memories, visions of war and the horrors of his work then and now. He’s still battling some addiction issues even trying to keep it hidden the best he can while others he managed to beat with help. (Although he’s reluctant to admit he needed it and doesn’t feel proud about needing help for his own battles) Overall Jackson is a caring, protective and sweet sort of guy but with baggage and troubles of his own.

Positive Traits:
• Resourceful
• Loving/Caring
• Kind
• Protective
• Good singing voice/musician

Negative Traits:
• History of Addiction
• Occasional short term memory issues (if & when struggling with PTSD related trauma/memories.)
• Stubborn
• Hot-Headed at times
• Protective (due to being overly protective at times)

Skills:
Hand to Hand combat
Weapons specialist
Tactics/Recon specialist
Bilingual
BACKGROUND -
History:
Special Agent and FBI instructor to new recruits, Jackson Kasey... Born in Morgantown, West Virginia to Tia and Rosa Kasey. Life was rather calm, cool and happy growing up to two proud moms who had their own story that could be told. Despite the “traditional” stereotypes of fathers teaching their sons how to work on cars, throw football or take them to games, it was never like that for Jackson and that wasn’t a bad thing or even a thing at all. It just so happened both his moms loved sports and his mother Rosa was a incredible athlete and mechanic in her own right having owned her own shop for some years now ever since coming to the states. It was through Rosa that Jackson first learned about cars, bikes and all things mechanical and how to fix them, it was also Rosa that taught him how to shoot a basketball, throw a spiral, how to throw a curveball... all the stereotypical “father” things you hear about but experienced and taught to him through his mother Rosa. While his momma Tia was the educator that instilled a love for history, a thirst for knowledge and better understanding amongst other things.

It was through Tia that Jackson came to love Sci-Fi, Fantasy, mystery’s and all things fitting to such a variety of universes. Life was truly good and Jackson never had a complaint even when he became a brother and eldest child thanks to the arrival of his little sister, Megan. It was thanks to such a upbringing that made J.K a pretty well rounded and adjusted young man of a few talents. Becoming a young musician, athlete and mechanic in training that would find a talent for playing the different instruments he’d take the time to learn, discovering his voice wasn’t half bad when he worked up the courage to sing in public or anywhere near another set of ears. He found a love for music really, desiring to write his own music some day while playing in the NBA and becoming a multi-genre artist.

But... life has a way of changing ones dreams and plans. Jackson grew up a die hard fan of the mountaineers of the university of West Virginia, in fact with no pro sports teams in the state the university had a incredible and massive fan base that treated them like the pro teams. Jackson just knew he’d one day make his way through school and attend the university no matter how it happened such as scholarship or not, he’d make it happen.

Surprisingly it wasn’t his bowling, or basketball that got him to WVU, it was his wrestling in high school.. his senior year and only year on the wrestling team in fact that earned him a scholarship offer. Leading to a semi successful career as a amateur wrestler in college, a nice run in college as a all American basketball player with hopes of going pro. Thoughts of pro wrestling creeping into the back of his mind as a fall back option. Meanwhile his studies were always taken care of with high grades or least pretty good in other areas of lesser strengths where it came to classes. A major that changed almost constantly, several minored classes on the back burner shifting around with the major. But then came a curve in life that was unexpected....

Upon graduation he didn’t pursue a pro career in wrestling or basketball, didn’t even consider music as that seemed to sit in the way sides for awhile. Jackson instead joined the army eventually becoming a army ranger and captain with several special ops under his belt, a number of accommodations over his years of service, a list of recommendations should he ever desire a life higher up the ranks or pursue another career. Over his ten years of service in the army saw Jackson endure plenty of hardships and things he just couldn’t ever unsee nor forget....

When he got his honorable discharge from the army and returned home to West Virginia where his family and friends awaited his arrival.. A different Jackson returned home instead of the one they perhaps could remember and had expected. The once bright, outgoing and somewhat popular athlete was a bit troubled and going through his own struggles, still offering a smile and not letting on what he was experiencing but still, you could, tell...

“Drowning in Bourbon....”

Something was different about him... even if it wasn’t the biggest or most noticeable of changes. Jackson was suffering PTSD and a difficulty to adjusting back to civilian life. He’d seen IED’s up close and what they could do, lives they could take both brothers and sisters in arms as well as innocent lives caught in the crossfires of war. He’d experienced things not many could say they’d seen and gone through. Operations that took lives, spilled a lot of blood and couldn’t even be spoken of due to classified information and the like. War... was... Hell.....

“Numbing my pain...”

Jackson had seen and been to much of the Middle East and abroad throughout a fair portion of the globe while in the army and different places he’d been stationed and assignments he received. So much began to bottle up inside him that while he worked on readjusting to his new life, being back home and with family and friends again. It wasn’t easy. Eventually his drinking picked up a bit, never enough to completely consume him and takeover his life in far more noticeable ways, but still...

“Fighting with demons, Oh Lord, i just wish that they go away.”

Old injuries and trauma led to prescription to help with the problems and pain. But still while he managed the best he could and doing so his own way, eventually it began to have its impact or its first... Megan was engaged, normally a rather happy and positive occasion with great news for all to share in the joy. But J.K wasn’t a fan of the fiancé and that led to a falling out between the siblings one that remains unspoken to this day with neither side reaching out to the other to repair the relationship and put it all behind them. Sheer stubbornness at its finest...

“There’s no light in the day...”

But life was about to pick up and change his future in another unexpected way. Just as J.K began to pick music back up again, battle his growing addictions to pills and drinking bordering on heavy at times, Jackson was contacted by the FBI leading to his accepting a offer to enter the program and become a trainee or newbie as some might say. It wasn’t too long before he was placed within the BAU and later on become a part time instructor for the trainees of tomorrow due to his military training, credentials and knowledge that could be valuable to new recruits.

“Don’t know how much more I can take,”

However he was still apart of the BAU and batting his own personal demons. A rough combination. While he was making some strides as his music became a way of expressing himself and coping through the hard times and memories as such things on both counts were not his specialties preferring to keep such things to himself and just all around not the greatest at allowing himself to show vulnerability and the like. But while some strides were made others took a fall...

“Oh No, afraid of tomorrow, the end of this bottle ain’t that far away.”

Moments came when chasing the criminal minds, the sadistic and twisted killers like he helped bring down was not a easy way to live. The combination of PTSD and dealing with such killers and getting inside their minds... hit a bump in the road for Special agent Kasey. Leading to a time or two of nearly overdosing on pills and some catching onto his pills vice and played a role in getting Kasey help and likely saving his life in the process.

“I don’t know where I belong...”

It was a long road back to the job as he knew it. Things were kept hushed but those who knew looked at him differently from then on... He was a good man. He was a capable agent and instructor but... perceptions change still... for some.... While his drinking still varied and threatened to take him down that road again or worse... Jackson Kasey battles on all the while doing the best he can to help his team and bring down one killer after another in hopes of saving as many lives as possible.

“I’ve walked a million miles and now I’m so far from home and I’m begging and pleading for someone to help me... something won’t let me lie down where I belong, there’s no use in carrying on”

Perhaps it’s his team, maybe a sense of duty and will to fight on, his family and friends... whatever it is Agent Kasey finds a way to struggle on but fight on for the greater good. He couldn’t change his past or save those lives he saw lost during his years in the army.... But he could play a role in saving another.... somehow even if at the end of his rope he’d find a way out alone or reluctantly and stubbornly with help to battle on and some day... just maybe, perhaps shake off his demons.... while using his love and talent for music more then ever as a counter active way to battle his issues instead of using drinking as a way to cope and numb the pain.

Area of Expertise:
Tactics & Recon specialist; Ten years in the army and specifically as a ranger has brought much in the way of expertise and resourcefulness for such roles where life and limb are on the line. He knows how to put together a plan of action, see it through and prepare for it amongst other traits that go along with it.

Hand- To- Hand Combat; Again, going back to his army days and training. Jackson is very familiar with and in many forms of combat from traditional brawling to boxing, various forms of not all in mixed martial arts and beyond.

Weapons Specialist; He’s very familiar with all forms of fire arms and weapons having used several himself in the army and seeing all kinds used against him. While trained as a sniper, Jackson is well versed in handguns, automatic, semi automatic, etc.

Survival; While it may not be a expertise perhaps, Jackson does have incredible knowledge on how to survive and get through a variety of different scenarios. Some due to past experiences. If put in a dire situation and left to his own resourcefulness odds are he would make it out alive or least surpass expectations into the impressive category.

Bilingual; Due to his own interest and much travel across world during his time in the army. Jackson has learned atleast a few different languages beyond his own native tongue of English. Making him a valuable asset if such a situation is needed and a translator comes handy.
Extra:
Decent musician/rapper/writer (Uses music and different aspects of it to help cope with his struggles and past issues)

Appears stoic on the outside but is rather emotionally aware and sensitive person. Sometimes to a fault and to his own detriment.

Doesn’t care for social media or keeping up with new trends.

He’s terrible at flirting or picking up on such cues.

Doesn’t like remakes of movies or TV shows. (Except for a very select few)

Takes his hair-care very seriously and any thing regarding his hair.

University of West Virginia alum and lifelong fan. Die-hard Charlotte hornets, Cincinnati Bengals & Reds fan.

FBI PERSONNEL FILE:
large_70_17596.jpg

REQUISITE -
Full Name: Aurora Kaiser
Role: The Muscle
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Ethnicity: African-American
Nationality: American
Religion: Polytheistic

MEDICAL -
Hair: Honey Brown
Eyes: Light-Brown
Skin: A shade lighter or darker than caramel depending on how long she is outside that day.
Height: 5'9
Weight: 160
Physical Build: Slim, Athletic, and a bit curvy
Face Claim: Crystle Stewart

Blood Type: AB+

Physical Conditions: No physical ailments of note, but she does have a high pain tolerance.

Mental Conditions: Aurora suffers from insomnia and frequent nightmares due to a traumatic experience that she still hasn't gotten over.

Vice(s): Self-harm and fear of failure. Because of what happened to her and the circumstances surrounding the situation, she's convinced that any punishment that she gets is deserved and that she's nothing more than a tool to be used by other people. It's been buried into her mind that it's the only way she can find value. That's why she works hard to be the sharpest and most efficient "tool" that she can be.

DISPOSITION -
Personality: Aurora is the silent, nurturing type. She's easy to get along with due to her soft voice and generally calm demeanor. Despite her skills in combat, she actually isn't fond of fighting or arguing. In fact, her trauma's the only reason why she learned to fight in the first place. Additionally, she's a bit paranoid, so expect her to have her back on a wall in most places as she feels uncomfortable when people are behind her.

Positive Traits:
Creative
Helpful
Perceptive
Comforting
Adaptable

Negative Traits:
Paranoid
Distant, especially right after a nightmare
Self-hatred
Craves acceptance
Scared to open up to others

Skills:
Hand to Hand combat
Disarming foes
Acrobatic
Durability
Persuasion

BACKGROUND - HEAVY TRIGGER WARNING!!!!! LOTS OF ABUSE AND TRAUMA! VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED!
History: Aurora lived as close to a normal life as possible. Her grades were good and she stayed out of trouble. Her benevolence knew no bounds and she harbored no animosity towards anyone. There wasn't an arrogant bone in her body and she's always been respectful. Aurora had goals to become an olympic gymnast. The young woman trained hard, working on her balance and flexibility. She also took interest in parkour as she felt it would help her acrobatic prowess. At 17, she graduated high school with many colleges sending offers her way. The future was as bright as her outlook on life.

Well, it was....until a week after. Aurora had been invited to a party by a few of her fellow graduates. It was themed to be a send off celebration. One last gathering before their lives split off down different pathways. Things started off pretty nicely. Everyone was getting along and enjoying each other's company. Then, about an hour in, a small group of five people from one of Aurora's classes told her that they had a gift for her for being so helpful and encouraging to the rest of the class. Unaware of what was to come, she went with the three guys and two girls. When they were out of sight, one of them knocked her out with chloroform.

Tl;dr: LOTS of bad stuff happened as she was held hostage by a guy and his friends. Every day, he would abuse her physically, emotionally, and psychologically. No matter how much she tried to call for help, he would stop her and violently punish her for trying to escape. He repeatedly told her that no one valued her because if they did, she wouldn't be where she is. He added that if something goes wrong, it's her fault, and she is nothing more than a tool to be used to serve others. After 15 agonizing days, she finally broke and gave in to his words. She spent the next 20 days doing whatever he said until police officers just so happened to rescue her. They had charged in on a warrant for multiple drug charges. While they were searching the house for drugs, they found her as well. After 5 months of therapy, she made the decision to learn self-defense. Over the course of her training, she decided to work even more on her combat skills. Not just to protect herself, but to also protect those in danger of going through the same trauma that she did.

Seven years after that horrific incident, Aurora has learned to suppress her trauma behind a relaxing voice and helping others. She would go around, performing random acts of kindness just to see people happy. Her job as a personal trainer has helped her get used to being around people again, but she's still extremely cautious. In fact, it's made her both paranoid and perceptive. Wherever she goes, Aurora observes her surroundings as much as she can. One day, a person she was training noticed how perceptive she was and told her that with that talent along with her desire to help others, she could be a good fit for the police force. After looking into it, she decided to give it a shot. Following months of hard work, she was reassigned to the BAU. It was the perfect opportunity for her to learn why people do what they do so that she can better understand how to protect those who can't protect themselves.

Area of Expertise:
Pursuit: Aurora's acrobatic and parkour skills allow her to maneuver through obstacles, such as fences and overturned trash cans, rather quickly. This makes it easier for her to close the gap on her target. Meanwhile, her years of training have helped with her cardio and stamina. Because of that, she can generally outlast the person she's after if they run long enough or far enough.

Close-range combat: While she is decent with guns, she prefers to not use them unless it's the last resort. Aurora is much better when she's in arm's reach of her adversary as she's quite efficient in disarming and incapacitating others.

Charm: While she's not willing to throw herself onto someone for information, her friendly demeanor and gentle nature can make people more open to talking to her.

Extra:
While luck is generally on her side, Aurora doesn't like gambling. In fact, she hates casinos with a passion and would likely be a nervous wreck any time she steps onto a casino floor.

She gave up on her Olympic dreams after the trauma that she went through. However, she was still able to get through college.

FBI PERSONNEL FILE: One day, or day one. You decide. -Unknown

REQUISITE -
Full Name:
Nolynn Kaye Pace
Role: Newbie
Age:
28
Gender:
Female
Sexuality:
Straight
Ethnicity:
Caucasian
Nationality:
Irish American
Religion:
Christian

MEDICAL -
Hair:
Her classic red hair is striking against her pale skin. She tends to keep it tied back during work or heavy activity. Most often she braids it into a thick rope that hangs delicately over her shoulder, but on lazy day’s she opts for a simple ponytail full of natural curls.
Eyes:
Nolynn has an all-consuming and hypnotic emerald set of irises.
Skin:
She has fair skin with undertones of coral. Easy to sunburn and full of ruddy freckles. Once ashamed of the citrine tone she wears, there now comes a certain pride in her light pigment and rosy flushes. While she can be fancy with makeup application, she prefers a natural look that accentuates her professionalism. If she does in fact wear any beauty enhancers to the workplace, at most it would be winged eye liner or a light flutter of copper eyeshadow and a muted mascara.
Height: 5’ ft 5” in
Weight: 127 lbs
Physical Build: With a healthy weight, she proudly remains toned with an athletic build. No standout proportions to her petite body.
Face Claim:
Morgan Crabtree

Blood Type:
O Negative

Physical Conditions
: In her prime she has been physically training within every aspect of her career as well as extracurricular kickboxing.

Mental Conditions: Documented PTSD at age 23 when dishonorably discharged from the American Air Force with a purple heart. Since then, has been officially released from counseling after proving above average mental health scores. Honestly, it comes down to how well someone can cheat the system.

Vice(s): Nolynn is a closet smoker. Her mother would kill her if she knew, and it is something she has gone to great lengths to hide from those she loves. She is also an adrenaline junky. In the Air Force she did whatever she could to jump from planes. This death-defying habit has followed her through each career path, including the undercover roles.

DISPOSITION -
Personality:
Agent Pace is reserved at the start of a relationship. Whether that be with a college, a friend or just a peer in general. Eventually a sense of humor surfaces and a bubbly character arises. Sarcasm comes quick to the tongue though and is often used in self-preservation with the occasional use for offense.

Positive Traits:

Nolynn maintains her casual outward appearance as a people pleaser with an outgoing personality. She is witty with a sharp tongue and a calculating brain. While she would never profess to be a genius, she did excel at academics and Physical activities throughout school.

Negative Traits:

Unrequited demons that she would sell her soul to keep hidden. Mainly the ability to fool others on her mental health status.

Sarcasm that often takes things way too far and gets her in unnecessary trouble.

Her affinity for adrenaline chasing situations.

Skills:

Bilingual

Fluent in ASL

Conversationally versed in both Spanish and French.

Trained in hand-to-hand as well as kickboxing.

Formal Air Force and FBI firearms training.

BACKGROUND -
History:

Ever the one to strive for excellence, Nolynn rushed through adolescence with a desire to prove herself above all. If a test allowed for an A grading, the girl demanded an A+ for herself. What other cliché way had there been to get her father’s attention when he lived for the CIA? In an attempt to prepare herself for the future she focused mainly on classes that revolved around world skills that she was absolutely confident would benefit her future. Spanish, French, and American Sign Language classes along with Psychology and ROTC. When academics failed her desire to impress, she supplemented with athletics. Soccer and Volleyball became her escape. These extravagant goals for herself did cause a chain reaction effecting her connections as she essentially cut herself off from any friendships or outside relationships.

Approximately 48 hours after graduating with honors, Nolynn Kaye Pace signed her rights over to the American Air Force. It took 5 years to reach the rank of Technical Sergeant, but it was her highest accomplishment in her Father’s eyes. Ironically, that was about the time that her incessant need to meet his standards fell from her priority list. Two months after her highest promotion Nolynn was shot by a fellow officer during pararescue training. According to classified documentation there was no apparent reason for the attack and no interview with the shooter as they refused to deploy their own shoot and took a suicidal leap after the assault. To this day Nolynn refuses to comment on her beliefs behind his reasoning.

Being honorably discharged left Nolynn little choice but to move on with her career. Her Father requested that she join the CIA under his strict supervision, and her uncle offered an escape by suggesting the FBI academy. Taking initiative, she leapt at the opportunity to excel once more in training and academics. Her initial career path led her to undercover work in the Sex Trafficking department in Atlanta. She spent two years in and out of new locations working covertly in order to track down some of America’s most wanted.

Working alongside a profiler brought her interest into the BAU. Determined to find her place in that specific criminal division she returned to Quantico with the aim of working her way into the elite BAU. While in advanced profiling classes, Agent Pace had an odd request for Professor Martin. She asked if he would provide her with initial case reports of previously solved cases. Once received she would study them and turn in a detailed profile. After her report had been turned in, her professor and her would sit down over coffee or lunch to see how close her profile had come to the actual unsub apprehended by the BAU. It was by Professor Martin’s highest recommendation that Nolynn Pace was accepted into the collection of initial applicants for the department.

Area of Expertise:

Five years in the Airforce ranking at Technical Sergeant by 23.

Undercover Specialist in the Sex Trafficking division of Atlanta.

Extensive profiling training.

Firearms training with both the Airforce and the FBI.

Hand to hand combat and kickboxing.

Dabbles lightly in Liaison connections with local authorities as well as the public.

Extra:

Recommendations for joining the BAU from the following:

Air Force Chief Master Sargent Tom Hanson.

FBI Profiling Professor Archer Martin.

Sex Trafficking Department head Kylie Monroe.

Uncle Jimmy Pace Executive Assistant Director for Criminal Investigations, sub category Cybercrime Division.

Last but not least, from Associate Director for Military Support Arthur Pace, a formal request to deny Nolynn Pace’s application into the BAU.

(OOC I wanted to turn this in before the deadline, but if I have more time this evening I will add to and refine the application. Thank you for your consideration. P.s. I apologize for my lack of flashy technological skills.)
