Aliayn is a tiny lass (about five feet tall) with a huge smile. She wears a white dress, to match her hair of the same colour. Her blue ribbon matches her deep blue eyes.
Weapon: Magic
More: Cynthiera is a very jaunt and happy person. She is very smily and is difficult to upset. However, she is shy when meeting new people; Cynthiera will warm up to them quickly.
Good! Is she one of king's followers?

Name: Aideen
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Appearance:

9ee3ebb15152a29bbdfc7b2c6e15fccb--fantasy-art-women-warrior-girl.jpg
Red Hair that goes down to her waist.
Lime Green eyes.
Usually wears robes or hoods.
Level of Skill: Talented.
Skill: Sneaking, Hand-To-Hand Combat, Fire Magic.
Background: Aideen has always been on her own. She's never really had a place to call home.
Her parents couldn't afford to feed her, so they ended up leaving her on the streets. Ever since then, Aideen has had to scrounge for food, steal medicine, (maybe some cloaks, too,) fight off crooks and drunks, and fight to keep herself alive.
More About Aideen: Even though she's skilled in Fire Magic, Aideen is a very cold person. The only real people she's interacted with are people who see her behind buildings, and steal from her, (or try to attack her.) So, naturally, Aideen believes everyone's like this.

Name: Veles Bayard
age: 17
gender: Male
appearance:
oHlEbWd.jpg

level of skill: Rookie
field of focus: Order Magic
background: Most of Veles' life was spent in relative ease, in a sense anyway. He was born to two mild mannered magic users who, while not extremely skilled in the ways of magic, happily ran a potions and enchantment shop. The main cause for chaos in his life mainly came in the form of his lovely younger sister, Taika. If there was anything "fun" to get into, she'd find a way to get involved (With poor Vel getting directly or indirectly dragged along for the ride normally).

Towards the beginning of the King's power creep, Veles and his family really didn't feel any major changes. His parents barely used magic in their day to day lives, and he and his sister were still mostly in training anyway. However, their own personal peace wouldn't last forever, and as with many things it was Taika that made the first moves. She was too young and inexperienced to really join in with the fighting, but she could at least make things harder for the local guards. At first her little acts of rebellion were seen as nothing more than a merchant's child throwing a tantrum out of boredom, she wouldn't have been the first or last to do such as that after all. Often she was let go by the guards with a warning or made to do some work for them. But as time went on, she got craftier and kept learning new ways to defy the orders of the King. That is until one night she didn't come home.

Vel and his parents waited up for her return, but instead an old family friend showed up just after midnight. With him came the news that the family had expected but still feared, Taika had been arrested, but there was the possibility of getting her out. So a plan was made and his parents and their friend left that very night. This was the last Vel would see of them. He patiently awaited their return while doing his best to run their shop as days turned into weeks, but eventually even he had to flee the city as tensions continued to grow. With only the name of the city that his parents said they would all escape to, he struck out on his own.

more about Veles: *Due to the type of magic that he studies, despite working on it for almost all of his life he's still pretty inexperienced. (Learning to warp reality is a super hard thing to do yo!) * He's mild mannered like his parents, but he's pretty cheerful too. * He's never even left the city with his family before, so this whole fleeing on his own thing is kiiiiiiinda a big deal for him!

Name: Frederick Hössler
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Appearance:
giphy-downsized-large.gif

Level of Skill: Master
Field of Focus: Lore of the Heavens
Background:
Frederick's life didn't begin all happy and cheery, being the son of a thief father and an actress mother. His father was never home, his mother on the other hand was only slightly more present than his father, but that wasn't saying much. Because of this, he was raised by his mother’s grandparents, who saw him more as a product of his mother’s recklessness, and therefore resented his very existence. His own mother saw her son as more of a burden and a nuisance, blaming him when her career was taking a toll, even going as far as to beating him whenever things in her life went wrong.
Needless to say, Frederick’s life was unpleasant at the best of time. But things grew worse when he would receive visions during the nights, seemingly of the future. This would cause him to wake up screaming and crying, much to the annoyance to his grandparents. Such an occurrence became frequent by the day, leading to many self-proclaimed psychologists to call him mad. Seeing her chance to finally ditch this burden, Frederick's mother had plans to have her son hauled off to a asylum. But Frederick was able to foretell this, and the night before he was suppose to be hauled off, he escaped.
For a few months, he lived on the road and the streets, begging and sleeping under what ever shelter he could find with nightmarish visions being an daily occurrence. One particular day he was out begging in one the towns, when a group of children happened upon him and started harassing him, calling him names and throwing rocks at him. But Frederick was saved when a particularly well dressed man carrying a magical iron staff approached. With a tap from the bottom of his staff, the man summoned a blue gust of wind that quickly scattered the children, sending all but Frederick running down the streets. The strange man then proceeded to pick up the beaten boy, and carried him back to his own residence. Frederick was about 6 when he was rescued from the streets.
The man turned out to be a wizard, a wizard of the celestial order, who had foretold of Frederick’s gift. Turned out the visions the boy had was part of a talent he had regarding the celestial order. The man offered an apprenticeship for the boy, after feeding him of course. Frederick had no reason to turn down the offer, and soon became an apprentice wizard.
Life was considerably better under the tutelage of his new master, who became like a father he never had, though it was still difficult. If he was not studying the various books in the library, he was out scrubbing bird poop off the telescopes on the domed observatories. Frederick took this opportunity seriously, and he was a diligent student and hard working assistant. Amongst the various aspect he learned of the celestial order, such as observing the stars or honing his magic in such things as observing possible futures, he was taught other skills, such as navigation, a bit on survival, and even sword fighting, amongst other things. By the time he was in his late teens, Frederick was quite the skilled wizard in his field, able to graduate from apprenticeship at a relatively young age.
After becoming proper wizard, he ventured out into the world to conduct his own research and to assist the government wherever he can. Years later, a larger call was put out, and a message was sent to him by his master. A large military campaign was taking place, and his master was participating in it. Frederick too decided to join, his master having taught him martial skills amongst the other things. On the campaign trail, the two served as not only valuable offensive power but also valuable in a support role, gaining valuable intelligence through their magic skills or bolstering the troops with magic.
However, during one of his visions, he saw the death of his master on the field of battle. At first he believed it was only a possibility, such a thing occurred with his powers. But time and time again he saw into the mist, he saw the same outcome. Fearing the worse, he rushed to tell his master, hoping to change it. But for whatever reason, his master only laughed, and told him that he too knew had this vision, and he was ready to embrace his fate. Frederick begged him not to participate in the next battle, but his master refused, saying it must be done to secure victory. Then for some reason Frederick’s master turn the conversation onto him. His master told him, something greater was soon to be a foot, he had foretold it, but Frederick was to have a part in this, he had foretold this also. But in order to achieve such a thing to occur, the master had to sarcrfice himself. Greater things were afoot, the master said, greater than just him. The master then unstrapped the sword dangling in a sheathe from his side, and handed it to him. The blade was called “Moon’s Edge”, a magical sword passed on for centuries from celestial wizards to apprentices. His own master had given it to him shortly after his death, and now Frederick's master was passing it on to him. For the first time in years, Frederick cried, harder then when his own mother beat him, harder when he first received visions of the future. Falling to his knees, he cried out “I don’t understand!”, repeating the phrase over and over again while he clung to his master’s robe. His own master could only hold him, tears falling as he suddenly embraced Frederick. The master told his apprentice that he may understand things, or even ever, but what he was to do today was for his tomorrow.
The dreaded battle came and went, the vision both of them saw came to fruition; Frederick’s master died during the climax of the battle, but he was able to cast a spell that was able to secure victory before he passed. The man died a hero, but it was little comfort to Frederick, who felt virtually nothing after the battle had ended. Frederick served the rest of his term, returning to his master old home after the campaign had ended to find his master’s will, which stated that Frederick was to inherit all his belongings, as his master had no children of his own or next of kin. However, his master’s former home came along with too many memories, so instead of staying he decided to move. Along with the house Frederick grew up in and all its stuff, his master also left behind a countryside observatory. Donating the facility in town to the local magician college, he moved the majority of his master's belongings to this home far in the countryside.
Frederick would go on to live there in semi-seclusion for nearly, swearing off the majority of human contact for fear of repeating what had happen with his master. Around the little observatory, he placed a spell that made the shrouded the observatory in fog, made it seemed unremarkable but not impossible to find. He lived like a hermit, devoting the majority of his time to his study and research, but kept honing his other skills such as combat and cooking. Didn't mean he never left his home, from time to time he could be seen in town picking up supplies or in the woods, though he would rarely converse socially. He’d even receive visitors, usually persistent nobles or travelers who wanted their future predicted, and would only foresee it just so they would leave. On occasion, Frederick would leave home and travel to the cities for a convention to present his research and swap ideas with fellow wizards. But he would never stay for any pleasantries, showing up simply to present his findings and then listening to the lectures of others, even asking questions and discussing such findings, but he would always leave immediately afterwards.
This went on for nearly an entire century, before he received a peculiar vision. It started one night when he saw in a vision one of the townsmen warning him about this new king, but he didn't think much of it at first. The next he went into town for supplies, the same townsmen from his vision approached him and gave him the same warning, to which Frederick said he already knew and waved him off. At the time, Frederick thought if this so-called king just wanted an artificial oath of loyalty in exchange for peace and quiet, what was so bad about it? That's what he thought, as he left the town and entered the woods, where moments later he would sit himself under a tree to meditate.
What came next was a string of visions, starting off with a group of soldier riding for what looked like he village he was in. The next one was a scene in which a group of magician looking people gathered within a bakery, but standing amongst them was...himself? The next one was peculiar, it was not a vision but a memory, the day before the big battle, in which he had confronted his master. The last vision he received, the moment his master died, snapped him out of his meditative trance. What did this mean? Frederick pondered that question that sleepless night. He had never had a vision like this. Was this a message? But from whom? The people in his vision? Maybe...his master? Was this the greater good his master spoke of all those years? What did it all mean!?
Frederick had so many questions but no answers. Though, he had a feeling, a bunch more of, that these people were important in some way, and they had to survive. Perhaps this was the greater good his master died for, maybe it was his charge to protect these relatively young people? He had no idea, nor did he have an invitation. But it seemed that his destiny might be tied to these people, invitation or no. That very night he packed up all he needed for travel and even research, taking his most important works and books with him as well as his , as if he expected never to return, though not enough to burden him in travel. Frederick left the safety of his home before the crack of dawn, with a direction in mind. Frederick’s vision of the future past the part of the bakery was blurred and clouded, but he knew one thing about his immediate future: It was in that bakery.
More About Them:
-Moon’s Edge is a magical sword crafted centuries ago but is still in tremendous shape. Past down from celestial wizards for generations, the sword is naturally in tune with magic of the celestial order. As a result can channel celestial magic through it.
-Frederick can summon a metal staff with a blue orb that resembles a planet with a gold hope around it on top at any given moment. He uses this staff as sort of a magical conductor, increasing and even stabilizing his powers. It can be duel wielded with Moon's Edge
-Frederick carries on him an assortment of star mapping tools on his body, as well as some scrolls, and a spellbook chained to his belt.
-The Lore of Heavens is a rare form of magic that can not be learned. Only those who posses the natural gift with said magic before they could even enter an apprenticeship under a master that the masters themselves must choose. Those who have attained mastery over this form are scarce, and only teach those they deem worthy.

Very nice as long as he can't blow up cities!

A very primitive weapon by some people but a very effective one, Harald's crossbow has been modified to be able to be shot from 625 feet away and usable in wet environments. It can fire 3 types of bolt depending on the need of Harald's situation. Pox bolts which are meant to be used on targets that Harald knows will excape and they will be infected with pox. Paralysis bolts which he uses on targets that needed alive but they may be able to be counteracted by people who can cast good healing. And finally penetrative bolts, bolts that can penetrate 2 sheets of lead they're multipurpose.
ninja-grappling-hook.jpg

A weapon with a very simple design, he uses it to grapple people closer to him so he can deal with it easier or it can be used as a maneuver tool. Nothing special here
italian-short-sword-1.jpg

A sword, Harald's secondary if he somehow didn't manage to finish his target by the time they're in melee range he will take this out and use with a self made style of fighting which involves a lot of stabbing to incapacitate and to stab in vital organs bellow the chest as he is a dwarf and height is quite a problem in a close fight.

More about him: Harald was born to a normal family, in the great mountains a miner father and a smith mother. He had quite a average beginning of a childhood. That of course would be about to be ended considering the fact that orcs do not enjoy having dwarf neighbors right next door so as you can expect a Orc war band attacked the tiny village with only miners to defend them and the militia has already been moved away to be reorganized at the king's tower. So when Orcs didn't have the hardest of battles to overtake but what a reward they got from the place, they pillaged raped and killed the villagers including Harald's family.

Much to the unlucky nature of the orcs and the power of karma a chance for Harald to enact happened. For months he has been in a prison readied to be sold or used in a gladiatorial fight. The orcs decided the latter. They pitied 12 year old Harald against a feral goblin a much bigger but surprisingly dimmer than their more civil cousins. The goblin clearly was a veteran of this excuse of a arena which was just a fence covering a circle and surrounded by orcs to be sure none of them try to escape. Much to Harald's dismay the goblin had a rusted blade with teeth on it a grotesque weapon but it did its job and Harald had a shiv made out of glass.

The fight begun, the much bigger and stronger goblin charged towards the cowering boy and smacked him one of the fences and started smacking him with the blade on his open arms and making wounds that are grotesque and keep doing even harder with the cries of the child and the wails of the excited crow grew. Then one of the strikes hit Harald in the face and something just clicked or more properly described. Broke. He rolled out under the goblin and runned towards the glass shiv left on the floor and picked it up waiting for the goblin to charge him, which he did. Harald then moved away but leaving his foot tripping the goblin and from the moment he has down he started stabbing at the goblins back again and again until the there was no more goblin blood left on him since it runned out and the crowd was silent.

The very next day the forces of the new emperor exterminated the orcs and found the boy with his wounds and his defeated combatant on the ground. The officer present took notice of this and after treating him they sent him to the capital where he was hired by the dwarf mafia to fulfill grudges. This is where he got his last name.

As a finishing note, he will not harm children or old people. For some reason he simply cannot. And in his latest mission it may be quite hard to avoid.

So I still he a wizards or a kings men?

Also, what self respecting dwarf uses a sword? That's for the pointy ears and weaklings, all the same really. A real dwarf uses a hammer or an axe.

A sword is more efficient than a axe who is best used against unarmored opponents, and a mace/hammer would be used against armor and they're both very specific, a sword is just more easy to use. Also pray that the winds of magic don't play with you when you roll before a battle

Very Nice~
I assume he works for the self-called king, right? We really need a long term antagonist here. He might be a good challenge for the celestial master.

As he was growing up a weird power inside of him would spark up. This distanced him from people and caused einua to stray from people and stay by himself to escape such behavior, his father tended to be always busy. But any time Arrin had free time he would spend it with einua, reading him folklore and teaching him how to meditate. This caused einua to be more focused than most toddlers, and his attentive attitude pushed him away from others even further.
5-10:Arrin started to lean off of work and care and teach Einua how to control hisnewfound magic, while keeping him out of the view of the king. Because of this most of Einua’s days were spent studying and learning, and nights reading books and staying up late watching the stars. With time his body became even more feminine, and his hair grew at extraordinary speeds. Although einua had started to notice his father would hide certain things from him, some of Arrins notebooks would be locked up, and one of the rooms in the house always had a padlock on it, one day he had found the door open, and had taken a peek inside. Background
Rai was raised by his mother, his father having disappeared before he was born. His mother was also a magician, working for a rich Lord to support her child and teaching Rai the magic she knew. She'd never had an official education in magic, so Rai knew most of what she did by his early teens. He kept working on his magic in his spare time around his blacksmith apprenticeship.
When the new king started hunting for magicians, Rai's mother was one of the first taken. His neighbours only just warned him in time to avoid being caught himself. He managed to hide out at the blacksmith's for a few week before having to move on to avoid getting him in trouble. He was constantly moving around the city to avoid detection before getting the letter.
More about them
Rai always tries to be kind, but recent event have made him much more wary of those around him. His priority is also to find and free his mother, if she's alive.

Arielle is loyal to the crown, not the actual king, due to a blood oath made almost a century ago. If conditions change, she would just as easily turn against him. For now, she has to do anything she is commanded to and figures that she might as well enjoy it.

Sorry. his BG evolves around hiding from the king while the king has appeared recently not since 17 years ago. And isn't running from king, he is running from people.
