**FLASHBACK**
Location: Northern Canada, CSIS Black site fourteen, Sub-floor six.
Phantom POV.
White floors, white walls, white fucking ceiling. Everything was sterile, almost sickeningly so. It hurt the eyes to stare in one place for too long and let your mind wander. Although that was probably a good thing when your mind could literally kill you if you lost control.
Michel sighed. It had been far too long since he had tasted fresh air, felt the cool wind or even the soft snow. Memories from his childhood resurfaced, bringing with it sadness and longing. They were utterly crushed by his own mind, the task trivial, due to his mental conditioning. He took another sip of hot mint tea in a, yes white, mug before sighing and setting it down on a table by his side.
He was not a sociable man at the best of times but he had not had any human contact in weeks. Even the meals that they served were pushed though a slot on the door. He had grown tired of this. He reached out with his mind, pushing past the shielding that they had installed in the walls. He lightly brushed past most of the minds in the other rooms but they were of little interest, old and frail or just not compatible. Then he felt something else. He felt another mind. Not like the others in this place, broken, dusty, unusable. No, this mind was strong, alive, bursting with memories and thoughts. He pushed a little harder, pulling his mind away from the others and dedicating his mental power to this new individual.
After only a few seconds, he found out that they were a female, from Australia and only nineteen. How someone so young with no supernatural abilities could gain access to this place was beyond him. But he intended to find out. She wasn't alone, thought. A man, known to Michel only as Dimitri and was the man that brought him to his current lodgings, was escorting this girl down the hallway to a sort of interview room.
He pushed a little harder into the girls mind, unsure as to why. Maybe he wanted her to feel him, as a reassurance or maybe as in intimidation, beating his chest to make sure that he was the strongest. No matter what it was, she was sat in the interview room with Dimitri moving to room five... Michel's room.
