Welcome to the CS Thread for MAZE RUNNER: FORGOTTEN. Please post your characters down below. A heart from me will mean your character is accepted. If not, you will be privately messaged regarding any possible changes we request you to make.

Please keep the following rules in mind while creating your character:
1: Read the Manual: Although reading the entire manual is obviously advised and inevitably necessary to participate in the RP, we ask you to at least read the GLADE “Politics & Hierarchy”, JOBS and GLADERS sections before creating your character. The information found in these topics is essential for filling in your sheet. This is the link to the Manual.
2: You are allowed to have only one character For the sake of a stable and controllable starting amount of characters, we are keeping everyone limited to having one character. This rule might be lifted in the future, and especially active members may be given a chance to make a second character early should they wish to do so.
3: Your sheet must be readable by everyone: Codes are beautiful and make a character sheet look a lot more interesting, but they shouldn’t interfere with the readability of the post. If you wish to use a code, just make sure it’s readable for everyone. If someone tells you it isn’t, either add an uncoded spoiler under your post or change the code.

Appearance: Elise stands at a whopping 5'3" and has a skinny frame. She is usually in her working outfit, consisting of a simple white shirt underneath a leather apron and a belt with several knife pouches and small bags for spices.

» PERSONALITY;
Virtues & Vices: Most people know Elise as a friendly, expressive and extraverted individual who's particularly passionate for her own role in the glade. The local cook radiates a sense of energy and positivity, often trying to look at a situation more lightly in the hopes of boosting the morale of herself and those around her.

Possibly the most noticeable part of Elise is her extreme liking of talking and interacting with others. She's really sociable which, in combination with her relative confidence and bravery, makes it very easy for her to get comfortable with someone, hold a conversation or say what's on her mind. She also finds it very easy to interact with strangers, often driven by curiosity and the secret hopes of recruiting a good addition to the team of cooks.

Elise also has a knack for organisational skills and maintaining order in the kitchen, often dishing out commands in a surprisingly fast-paced yet structural manner. It may become a little heated at times if things don't go as planned, though. That's just the burning passion at its work.

Although generally compassionate and understanding, Elise's fierce loyalty and protective nature make her quite the force of wrath whenever someone harms a person she cares for. She's emotion-driven, which can occasionally interfere with her wish to solve conflicts and general decision making. Elise is the type to try and be a mediator when both parties have little to nothing to do with her, but when a friend is included she will pick a side in a heartbeat. Don't make an enemy out of her, or she'll spit on your food right in front of you. She's petty like that.

Speaking of protectiveness, Elise is also very defensive about what she puts on a plate and offers to her fellow Gladers. Criticizing her food is probably not the best thing you can do unless you have a very sophisticated way of bringing it to her. She may occasionally agree that the food wasn't the best quality, but her prideful nature tends to cause her to put the blame on another. As mentioned before, she is just really passionate about her task and likes to make herself useful through the means she is best at. Elise will work day and night thinking about what would be the most sufficient and what innovative new creations she can offer, so it can quite quickly become personal whenever someone isn't content with something she's proud of. She does cook with immense love, though, and makes sure to add a little more of her secret ingredient to the portions of the likeable runners and charismatic leader/second-in-command.

Likes: Cooking, a clean and tidy kitchen, conversations, sleeping, being outdoors, sunshine, warm weather, comfortable clothes, animals, dancing, interrogating Newbies, culinary innovation, the word 'moist', teasing others, winning, parties, arts & crafts, puns.

Dislikes: Heavy labour, mourning, flies, spiders, conflict, waiting, being told what to do, cheating, losing control, cowardice, complete silence, rain, cold weather, dishonesty, people that don't finish their plate or don't express gratitude, laziness.

Quirks: Always stares at people when they're eating, constant joint cracking, treats the kitchen like it's her precious baby and will fight to protect it.


» BIOGRAPHY;
The history of Maze C is definitely not lacking its sorrow, sadness, and tragedy. Many things that happened probably still haunt the minds of those that saw it all happen. Fortunately, Elise was a latecomer and thus came after the darkest periods, so to speak.

Elise actually came in a comparatively calm and stable time, so she made sure to shake everything up through a, well, 'explosive' entrance.

It just always felt like fate for Elise to become a cook, it seemed. She was already wildly familiar with the Glade's various cooking utensils right from the start, albeit through threatening and throwing purposes rather than genuine cooking. She was a very feisty one when she came out of the box, mainly fueled by frustration, fear and a lack of memory. People luckily managed to cool her down from her spree of destruction, although she admittedly didn't deal that much damage. Elise soon figured out how she would redeem herself, though.

Like many Greenies, Elise spent her first weeks in the Glade trying to find her place. She spent some time with the Slicers which, due to her habit to quickly grow attached to animals, didn't quite seem to be her place. The gardens weren't exactly her ideal habitat either, and the Track-Hoes were probably happy once her constant complaining was removed from the peaceful fields. Elise also forcibly paid a visit to the Baggers and Bricknicks respectively, but neither of those went all that splendid either. It was then that she finally arrived at the kitchen, where her legacy came to a start.

Elise was obviously not the strongest, or the fastest, or the smartest, but her cooking skills were never truly rivalled by anyone. To the annoyance of the then Keeper of Cooks, Elise did things her own way. The techniques used in the Kitchen were far from perfect in her eyes, so she gave everything her own little spin. Fortunately, her cooking managed to impress both the cooks and plenty of Gladers, and she made sure that everyone knew it was her that was, in fact, in charge of that casserole.

Only a few weeks later, Elise was advising her fellow cooks on a daily basis up to the point where some would even come up to her to ask for instructions. Elise was passionate, confident, sociable, and not afraid to speak up against the current tyrannical leader, and that seemed to pull the other cooks towards her. She also managed to catch the eye of those in command, eventually leading to her replacing the veteran cook to his grave annoyance. Elise wasn't very bothered by his pouting, though. The kitchen would be rightfully hers.

Ever since she's been put in charge of feeding all the Gladers, Elise's days have been almost entirely centred around food. When she's not busy bossing her poor minions around or making sure the kitchen is as clean as can be, she can regularly be found visiting the Track-hoes and Slicers to check up on quality and stock, or anyone that complained about the food to just... have a nice little chat.

Besides her cooking skills, Elise is known to talk a whole lot to pretty much anyone she can get to listen. She doesn't really care much for a job position, causing even the highest in command to be pestered by her talks. The whole 'Stay or Leave?' antics have honestly just been a major headache for the Head Cook, especially since she's been conflicted about her position right from the start. Having come after the catastrophe, Elise's vision of the maze is more of curiosity rather than fear, and she often wonders what truly lies at the end of it all. Regardless of her stance in the whole conflict, Elise just chooses to remain relatively neutral and is perfectly fine with both sides existing. She is extremely against the unsettling radical opinions hiding in the herd, though, and she's not afraid of letting people know that.

The death of the first-in-command hit Elise quite hard. She had gotten to know him quite well, which made his sudden passing away even more shocking than it was to most. Elise is currently putting her support on the Second-in-Command to fix it all, although she fears he might not be able to. The future is uncertain, though, and Elise isn't planning on keeping her mouth shut should things get out of hand.


» SKILLS & WEAKNESSES;
+Cooking (obviously): She can put anything together and usually make it taste edible at the least. She's also resourceful and innovative with the supplies they have, regularly attempting to put something new and exciting on everyone's plate.
+Good Memory: Elise has surprisingly good memorization skills, capable of memorizing entire recipes with relative ease.
+Leadership: Although definitely not on par with the leaders of the Glade, Elise was given her Keeper title partially thanks to her control over the kitchen. She is quick to react to any mistakes she might spot and knows how to manage time pretty well.

-Strength & Speed: Anything to do with heavy lifting or running is best left to be done by others, for Elise is not exactly the strongest and fastest Glader around. Whenever she needs someone with strong legs or arms, she will simply give a certain group of people a little extra love during meal time.
-Emotions: There are people that can stay calm regardless of what is said to them or what happens around them. Elise isn't one of them. Emotions control her a bit more than she'd love to admit, but it's a very natural thing for her to respond to things in a very expressive and empathetic manner.
-Combat: Unless wildly swinging pans and kitchen knives around is considered a respectable fighting style, Elise is definitely not suited for fighting.

-Anton Morgan: Although they haven’t been in contact (based on her standard), Elise finds Anton to be a very intriguing person who’s very fun to tease. She often tries to poke a bit of fun at him here and there, although most of it is in good fun and just an attempt at trying to make him brighten up a little. With that said, she isn’t really sure what Anton thinks of her since her attempts at making him smile might not be very well-received.
-Nikolay Alexeyev: Nikolay is one of the people that secretly gets a little extra during dinner time. Although she herself doesn't particularly like to be directly associated with the extricates, Elise does try to do her part by cheering Nikolay and the other runners on whenever she gets the chance to do so.

The former Keeper of Cooks admittedly isn't the biggest fan of Elise, and Elise honestly doesn't like him very much either. His hothead personality, paired up with how easily he's hurt, causes him to be quite the hazard in the kitchen.
-Grace Wilson [NPC]: Elise's successful attempt at recruiting a cook, Grace is a very polite and kind individual that Elise likes very much. She's also a pretty good cook, and a great addition to the Kitchen.
-Vincent Davis [NPC]: Although formerly a tough person to talk to due to how shy he acted, Vince has become a very good friend of her and she kind of seems him like a younger brother of sorts.
-Faith Sanders [NPC]: Faith showed her the ropes during her first day in the kitchen, and they've pretty much been friends ever since. Spontaneous and a fellow disliker of Christian, Faith and Elise get along well.

Anton is often described by others as 'creepy,' even by the other baggers themselves who are considered by the rest of the Glade to be the creepy ones. Whether it be the way he collects even the most ravaged of corpses without even a flinch or the way he gravitates to the corners of the room with a thousand yard stare, people haven't clarified; he just doesn't sit well with most individuals.

Outwardly, Anton appears to be a rather indifferent man. He doesn't speak to, or really even acknowledge a person unless it's to correct their behavior or if it's absolutely necessary. He doesn't like to partake in any of the group activities, nor does he seem to ever laugh with any of the other Gladers.

Internally, though, Anton is simply a reserved individual. He takes his job of keeping the Gladers safe very seriously and, to him, time spent gossiping is time he should have spent keeping an eye out for problems. To those who have taken the time to get the man to speak know that he's rather intelligent and cares a lot for his fellow Gladers. Those he's particularly fond of might have even gotten a taste of his dry humor or rare smirks.

biography:
Anton first arrived in the Glade in March of 2228, when he was just sixteen; a shy, lanky boy surrounded by strangers that spent far too much time observing him. Like every other Glader before him he was immediately put to work, beginning the rotation of all the jobs in the Glade. He showed great promise as a Slicer, seemingly able to stomach the blood and gore with ease. However, it was his time shadowing the Baggers that he truly shined. Being in a group of individuals who, like he, were introverted and didn't expect him to speak to them to get the job done, he felt at home. He wasn't a well liked individual in the Glade at this point, nor was he disliked either. In fact, he was a relatively unknown individual- just one of the creepy Baggers.

He became a well established Bagger as time went on; a boy who never got in the way, simply did his job quietly and quickly. He became close with the Keeper of the Baggers, an older boy by the name of Neil, and spent long hours sitting atop of the building's roofs and staring down at the life that they were making in the Glade. Life was going well for him, all things considered. That was, until December of that year. Sudden storms ravaging through the Glade left many heavily injured and, between collecting the dead, helping to transport the wounded, and trying to keep the Gladers from rioting overall, the Baggers were constantly busy. It was a challenging time for them, and he wasn't at all surprised when Neil told him he wanted to leave. What surprised him was that Neil wanted him to stay and take his place- just in case.

It turned out that Neil's worry was justified when a large group of the Gladers headed into the Maze, only for their corpses to be found later on. Anton, who had been trying his absolute hardest to be half of the Keeper that Neil had been, had only become more withdrawn and cold as time went on; not realizing that his mounting anxiety and genuine fear of the Glade being destroyed was manifesting itself in a way that scared those around him. He began talking less and less and spending more and more time on the rooftops, staring down at the Glade below. He finally snapped when they found Neil's corpse- leaving him to bury the boy he'd admired so greatly.

It would be weeks before Anton would come close enough for people to spot him, and months longer before anyone heard his voice again. The leaders that he had once blindly followed were viewed now as incompetent and incapable, and the first thing he did when he decided to open his mouth again was to tell them as such. Before he even realized what was happening, he had begun referring to the Glade as his, and treating it as such. When the "Stay or Leave?" debate began, there was no question for him. Leaving, quite clearly, meant death. Those who stayed, those who were under his protection, were safe- he made sure of it.

skills: Anton has the uncanny ability to spot a lie from a mile away. All it takes is lying to him twice and he’ll have your tell memorized for eternity.

Anton is able to stay level headed and calm in nearly any situation. Even in times of panic and chaos, it takes a lot to catch this man off guard.

weaknesses: Anton struggles immensely with forming bonds with the people around him.

Anton is incapable of trusting others, even with the most menial of things. He will almost always choose to do things himself even when he very clearly needs the assistance of another.

[div class=firstword]Description[/div] Nikolay has messy blonde hair, often tousled or flopped over to the side, with darkened blonde eyebrows. His once pale skin has since darkened to a cool themed tan and freckles barely noticeable dot the bridge of his slim nose. Broad shoulders, he stands at a tall height of 6'2" but is often slouching when in camp so he comes to about 6'0" unless he is doing something physical. Along with his widish broad shoulders, he has a relatively well-built body that was once scrawny and lean, now he resembles a mixture of lean and muscular, going towards the more lean and tall side than his one muscular one due to the decrease of his lifting activities. Considering he is a runner the only way he can keep his arm strength is by sparring, and since it doesn't always come as a win he has a few scars from some more out of the hand losses. He came up from the box with most of his scars, a few of the larger ones marring his back and the smaller ones around his forearms, those mostly from blocking or taking hits while in the circle. He has perceptive and sharp bluish grey eyes and furrowed brows that shape his forehead, he has an evident but also subtle jawline that pokes out with a slightly upturned button nose.

Very open, Nikolay or Nik, doesn't hide things from people and that, in turn, makes him very open and accepting to different things. Nik is honest and hates liars, he isn't afraid to tell someone when they've made him annoyed or angry, but he will also be honest about what he thinks about that person if it comes up in conversation. With his openness and honest ways, he can come off as rude to people that honestly rub him the wrong way though he can never really catch onto what other people think as well. Nik tries to be open and extremely honest in hopes of those around him showing him the same honesty so he can know what they feel too. With Nik being oblivious to other people's emotions, he does read into actions more than words, when he sees someone doing a certain act or gesture it is a big way to inform him or catch onto different feelings the person might be feeling, though he can't quite guess what people feel exactly. Nik is also very protective when he makes a friend. He doesn't roll over and take things, and he won't allow his friends to do so either which is not a truly surprising thing about him. When he sees someone he considers a friend or apart of his family he will act on any thoughts that come up, he won't stand for insults towards them. Nikolay is a family man of sorts, he enjoys family time and is family oriented very much so. Surprisingly for a guy with bad luck in the family department, Nik can be very gentle when he finally realizes something is wrong, he can handle situations delicately as long as it was somehow communicated to him that there was some kind of problem or situation. The one thing he really remembers was when he was first arriving at the Glade, he had been startled with the roaring of the cage and when he reached the top he flew into action. He managed to claw his way out of the cage, giving him the famous title of the Escapee as he had gotten out on his own. After escaping, he bolted, ignoring the current Gladers and charging right through the Glade until he came across the maze. Oddly enough he stepped in but didn’t exactly barge into it, he just stood there in awe of the walls and endless paths. Nikolay has since been within the Glade for a year or so, maybe longer, he dislikes keeping track of the days gone by and focus on present time. The only time he cared about anything regarding time was when he would have to return from a run though that is only currently. Though to be more descriptive, he was brought up in the box with a group, more importantly, with a young man named Mitchelle Reid. Nikolay was for a long time under the builder role, he enjoyed how helpful he could be, at first until he was recruited to be a runner due to his physical fit build, more so forced into the role. He was also present at the time when the first group of gladers went into the maze to escape. A good friend of his had been very vocal about leaving and wasn't a runner but wanted to be. Nikolay was hesitant to leave seeing as he felt something wasn't right, and the current keeper of the runners requested he stay back which left him and a few runners left that would run the maze when they were to escape as well. The day the runners found the dead bodies, was because Nikolay and the remaining runners followed a trail, which he encouraged a few others to go with him and discover them. He found his friend dead and regretted not going with him. When Nikolay returned to inform the rest of the glade with the other runners, he carved a few of the runners' names in the wall of the maze. He was sure others did something similar to honor them. He wasn't sure if he should have left those wounded in the storm or gone with his friend, but he remains faithful to his friend's dream of escaping. He is an extricate, refusing to give up, and that is one of the reasons he had been appointed keeper of the runners. Once the death of the other half of the glade, he began staying out the longest, continually bringing back evidence even if it meant struggling to fit through the closing maze doors. Description -Nikolay has messy blonde hair, often tousled or flopped over to the side, with darkened blonde eyebrows. His once pale skin has since darkened to a cool themed tan and freckles barely noticeable dot the bridge of his slim nose. Broad shoulders, he stands at a tall height of 6'2" but is often slouching when in camp so he comes to about 6'0" unless he is doing something physical. Along with his widish broad shoulders, he has a relatively well-built body that was once scrawny and lean, now he resembles a mixture of lean and muscular, going towards the more lean and tall side than his one muscular one due to the decrease of his lifting activities. Considering he is a runner the only way he can keep his arm strength is by sparring, and since it doesn't always come as a win he has a few scars from some more out of the hand losses. He came up from the box with most of his scars, a few of the larger ones marring his back and the smaller ones around his forearms, those mostly from blocking or taking hits while in the circle. He has perceptive and sharp bluish grey eyes and furrowed brows that shape his forehead, he has an evident but also subtle jawline that pokes out with a slightly upturned button nose.
Personality -
Very open, Nikolay or Nik, doesn't hide things from people and that, in turn, makes him very open and accepting to different things. Nik is honest and hates liars, he isn't afraid to tell someone when they've made him annoyed or angry, but he will also be honest about what he thinks about that person if it comes up in conversation. With his openness and honest ways, he can come off as rude to people that honestly rub him the wrong way though he can never really catch onto what other people think as well. Nik tries to be open and extremely honest in hopes of those around him showing him the same honesty so he can know what they feel too. With Nik being oblivious to other people's emotions, he does read into actions more than words, when he sees someone doing a certain act or gesture it is a big way to inform him or catch onto different feelings the person might be feeling, though he can't quite guess what people feel exactly. Nik is also very protective when he makes a friend. He doesn't roll over and take things, and he won't allow his friends to do so either which is not a truly surprising thing about him. When he sees someone he considers a friend or apart of his family he will act on any thoughts that come up, he won't stand for insults towards them. Nikolay is a family man of sorts, he enjoys family time and is family oriented very much so. Surprisingly for a guy with bad luck in the family department, Nik can be very gentle when he finally realizes something is wrong, he can handle situations delicately as long as it was somehow communicated to him that there was some kind of problem or situation.

Biography - Nikolay doesn’t remember much, just the moment he was sent up to the Glade. The one thing he really remembers was when he was first arriving at the Glade, he had been startled with the roaring of the cage and when he reached the top he flew into action. He managed to claw his way out of the cage, giving him the famous title of the Escapee as he had gotten out on his own. After escaping, he bolted, ignoring the current Gladers and charging right through the Glade until he came across the maze. Oddly enough he stepped in but didn’t exactly barge into it, he just stood there in awe of the walls and endless paths. Nikolay has since been within the Glade for a year or so, maybe longer, he dislikes keeping track of the days gone by and focus on present time. The only time he cared about anything regarding time was when he would have to return from a run though that is only currently. Though to be more descriptive, he was brought up in the box with a group, more importantly, with a young man named Mitchelle Reid. Nikolay was for a long time under the builder role, he enjoyed how helpful he could be, at first until he was recruited to be a runner due to his physical fit build, more so forced into the role. He was also present at the time when the first group of gladers went into the maze to escape. A good friend of his had been very vocal about leaving and wasn't a runner but wanted to be. Nikolay was hesitant to leave seeing as he felt something wasn't right, and the current keeper of the runners requested he stay back which left him and a few runners left that would run the maze when they were to escape as well. The day the runners found the dead bodies, was because Nikolay and the remaining runners followed a trail, which he encouraged a few others to go with him and discover them. He found his friend dead and regretted not going with him. When Nikolay returned to inform the rest of the glade with the other runners, he carved a few of the runners' names in the wall of the maze. He was sure others did something similar to honor them. He wasn't sure if he should have left those wounded in the storm or gone with his friend, but he remains faithful to his friend's dream of escaping. He is an extricate, refusing to give up, and that is one of the reasons he had been appointed keeper of the runners. Once the death of the other half of the glade, he began staying out the longest, continually bringing back evidence even if it meant struggling to fit through the closing maze doors. Nikolay is one of the few that runs out far and encourages a buddy system within the runners to ensure safety.

personality:
cleo is easily one of the nicest people someone could come across. she is patient and kind, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have her... hot headed moments. more often than not, cleo is seen with a smile on her face, and she is fiercely loyal, perhaps to a fault, but that just means that, should anything or anyone threaten her friends or loved ones, cleo’s bright and bubbly nature can turn off like a switch, replaced by the image of what can best be described as a mass of red anger. it’s quite a sight really, considering she's just barely tall enough to punch someone in the face. cleo tends to spread happiness wherever she goes -- or she tries to, at least. she's got an infectious smile and likes to crack jokes to cheer people up, even if many of them are super bad and cheesy. and if it wasn't already obvious, cleo also talks. a lot. true, she can annoy some people with this trait of hers, but cleo never really intends any harm nor does she ever harbour ill feelings toward others unless they really give her a reason to. she's a very forgiving person, and can't stay mad for too long, even if those short bursts of anger are usually followed by some kind of physical violence from her end.

biography:
cleo, like everyone else, remembers nothing about her life before the glade. she is one of the first few members ever planted into the glade, so she's seen a lot, and experienced a lot, but still keeps a smile on her face. true to her role, cleo tries to be the heart, dissolving conflicts and cheering people up so that the glade can keep moving on instead of breaking apart. when she first started out, there was no concept of jobs, because it came about slowly, but she was one of the few willing to volunteer heading out into the maze to see what it held. and like that, she became a runner. she felt like she was destined for it, not just because of her good stamina, but because she knew she wouldn't give up till she found a way out of there. years later, and she's still at it, hopeful that they'll find a way out, but whole leave or stay conflict is posing some complications, and cleo is questioning her job as a runner now more than ever.

Appearance: Clay is average in height compared to some of the other male Gladers, coming in at around 5’10. Depending on who’s asking, sometimes the ‘and-a-half’ is added on with more emphasis. He doesn’t have particularly broad or slender shoulders, and like most Gladers, he has some muscle tone, but not enough to really brag about. He has some scars and marks on his hands from fights and his former Slicer job, but nothing too obvious. He does have one more noticeable scar on his lower right leg, so he tends to wear long pants to avoid getting weird looks.

Personality:
Clay’s most valuable asset personality-wise is his passive level-headedness. When a situation seems to be heating up, he is usually the first one to propose taking a step back and trying to reach a mutually beneficial conclusion. He’s not really a born leader, but he is fairly intuitive and a decent mediator which balances out his backseat approach to leadership.
Socially, he is always engaging and polite. He prefers to listen instead of talking, but some of his closer friends can usually bring out his chatty side. Then the trick is usually trying to break his talking streak. He loves doing harmless practical jokes every now and then, and a part of him is almost always concerned with boosting morale.
Clay is protective of absolutely everyone in the Glade. It doesn’t really matter who it is or what his relationship with them might be, he hates seeing anyone in a tight spot. He can practically sense a fight coming, and he’ll magically be there to put an end to it before someone gets hurt. He’s not really the mom of the Glade....but sometimes....it’s a little....hard to tell.
Since Thomas’ death, he had been much more quiet and reserved. He usually has dark rings underneath his eyes and he doesn’t smile as much. He never expected to be in a position to be the leader, so more than anything he just wants some sort of order to be established. Although he does worry that any new form of leadership will upset the Homesteader versus Extricate balance.
Likes: Sweet foods, peace in the Glade, solving riddles, routines, the Glade’s sheep, little flowers, sparring, cuddles and hugs
Dislikes: When anyone in the Glade gets so much as the sniffles, having to break up fights, rumors, anything he can’t protect the Gladers from, not being able to make a plan for something, blisters, watching the fight circle (most of the time)


History: Clay was lucky to find his place in the Glade fairly quickly. He came up in the box when tensions were starting to rise in the maze and he narrowly avoided getting caught up in it right away. For the most part he tried to lay low and just get his job done as a Slicer. Then things started getting worse, and Clay only knew that he wasn’t about to run out into the maze when there were so many people being left behind, injured. After the dead were discovered, it was easy to get caught up in the majority’s opinion that staying in the Glade was best, but he also couldn’t imagine never knowing what was outside the maze, if anything. So he stayed quietly neutral and just avoided talking about the divide whenever he could.
It was really happenstance that landed him in the position of second-in-command. He never even knew that he was in the running, but Thomas must have seen something in him that most other people didn’t. Everything seemed to happen so quickly after that, and suddenly Thomas was gone. Clay was left very uncertain about his role in the Glade with the way things are now. He was never the most popular choice to be in a leadership role, so he’s back to keeping as low of a profile as he can, while still working to keep some sort of peace.

Skills:
- Clay is good at seeing both sides of an argument and helping to work out a solution that everyone can agree on.
- He has a strong defensive fighting style that helps him when he’s fighting someone bigger than him, and when he is trying to break up a fight.
- He has a way with some of the animals in the Glade, so he’ll still drop by to help the Slicers whenever he can
Weaknesses:
- Clay is a chronic multi-tasker/overthinker. No matter what he is doing, he is probably trying to problem-solve ten other things in his head which can lead to him seeming distracted or not doing his best work. The only real exceptions are when he is talking to someone who needs his full attention or when he is sparring in the fight circle.
- He broke his leg a while back which left him with a scar. It healed remarkable well, but he can’t run at full speed for very long without being in pain and needing to take it easy for a while afterwards.
- Clay can be rather self-sacrificial. If it comes down to his safety or someone else’s, he will pretty much always choose to sacrifice his safety. Luckily, he hasn’t had the chance to do anything outrageously stupid yet.

Appearance: Athletic and toned, with strong shoulders and solid arms. Her skin hasn't appreciably darkened despite being under the sun all day (for reasons she's not aware of, naturally) but her hands are callused and her body has the physique of someone who works hard for a living. She wears her long, straight black hair back in a pony-tail while working and lets it flow loose when she's off-duty.

Personality: When she's working, it's hard to distract her unless it's important. At night, though, Rewa is easy-going and relaxed, friendly and outgoing. She can be remarkably charismatic when she tries. She has that rare knack of being a good listener and being interested in what others have to say. Rewa doesn't much care for being told what to do but she respects the need for a chain of command and supports Isaac's leadership of the Glade. Mostly, she likes to be trusted to be competent enough to take care of her responsibilities without being meddled with. Rewa cares for others, more than she lets on, and she's free with giving help.

Likes & Dislikes:

History: Rewa's been in the Glade for several years now. She was the first to arrive by herself, and in some ways it shaped the early dynamic she had with the already-there Gladers. Without another newbie to turn to, Rewa became fiercely self-reliant. It didn't help that she came into the Glade at a tumultous time, within a month or so of the storms and the conflict that broke the Gladers into factions. She was too 'new' to take sides (i.e. neither faction bothered to get her on their side) but it didn't surprise her when those obsessed with fleeing got themselves killed. By that point, she'd already found an affinity for planting, gardening and growing and made a determination to stick with that. The fact that the notes to move got the people who listened to them killed just firmed her belief that whoever was behind this couldn't be trusted.

A staunch supporter of the Homesteaders, Rewa ended up being tapped to be Keeper of the Track-Hoes largely through work ethic. She's a reasonably good leader, she listens to her people and she's willing enough to negotiate with other Keepers instead of looking out only for her and hers. Rewa does set a personal example of working as hard as she can all day, in case the Glader population continues to grow and in case the people behind the Maze do something underhanded and wreck more buildings or God forbid the crops. In the face of powerlessness, she seizes the only power she has; herself and her hands. It's an example that resonates with those who've joined the Track-Hoes and food isn't a problem for the community, barring surprises.

Skills: If it's green, she can make it grow. Rewa's picked up quite a knack for identifying kinds of plants as well, and regularly contributes towards searching for, growing and supplying the medics. Long days of hard labor have also made her remarkably physically fit. She's not a runner but Rewa's surprisingly athletic with stamina that can outlast most people who don't work all day.

Weaknesses: If Rewa has a weakness, it's a disdain for anyone who doesn't meet her (admittedly high) standards. She has no patience for people who laze about or who look like they're trying to take the easy way out of anything. She's also not always that good at relying on others or delegation, tending to try to do it all herself.

This causes him to be less friendly and open as he normally would. He spends most of his free time alone either exercising or trying to remember something.

Maximus was given the name the valor for his bravery which is not always an advantage. His bravery could cause him to act fast putting him in danger. Maximus dislikes being told what to do by those he doesn't respect but is very loyal to his friends, which he lacks in the glade. While he is normally kind to people, if someone were to betray/hurt him or a friend he would be very vengeful. He takes things like that very personal.

He loves to get a smile out of anyone, especially if they don't want to give it. He will make it a priority and try to find your week spot.

Arrival:
[div class=p]Bio. Maximus arrived shortly after the first in commands death. He had been panicking inside the box due to his claustrophobia causing him to pass out. Maximus was pulled from the box along with the supplies and laid on the grass nearby. When he woke, he remembered nothing but his name and was confused as ever. He wanted answers to all his questions but most of the Gladers were more concerned with the leader's death.

He got a basic knowledge of the glade and how it worked from a few gladers who happened to be Extricates. He agreed with them, to him it seemed the maze was meant to be solved. This idea earned him also the label of Extricate. Maximus was assigned multiple jobs to see which he would do best at. At first it was the builders because he could lift the heavy materials and such. He didn’t fit in, causing more damage than help to the builds, so he was transferred to slicers.

At the slicers he enjoys taking care of the animals but doesn't prefer the killing part. So his feelings of the job are spilt, causing him to wonder if a different job would fit him better. To this day he works with the slicers but doesn’t fit in, waiting to try out a new occupation.

↦↦↦Anisha was very willing to believe in the dream of escaping the maze. Her imagination ran wild with the prospect of seeing a bigger, wider world. She strongly supported the retention of the runner position hoping that some day, these half-assed lazy fuck would dream bigger. Unfortunately, with the growing number of deaths... she started losing faith in the idea of dreaming for anything, believing that puruing it would be doomed from the outset. She becomes critical of the higher positions, often being the devils advocate but always remaining friendly with everyone. "It's not personal," she would say, "I just don't think it's gonna work." is her favorite line. This cynicism though will be short lived considering her artistic soul. Dreaming is second nature to her.

Anisha is committed to protecting the [Glades] and the people within the four walls. She is typically very playful, often playing with fire and testing the limits of everyone's patience just enough for a good tease. She is quite trustful, but not so much as naive. A lot of people come to her when in need, knowing she would provide them either a good reality check or some emotional support, which ever works best with that specific person.

Despite her many noble quality, she isn't without her faults. She is blunt and short-tempered, prone to striking when her limits were reached (she can be quite a strong thrower of things). She is widely feared because of this tendency. Let's just say, many choose NOT to anger her where sharp knives are around. It's quite amusing to see her patience so low for that specific type of behaviour when her own behaviour isn't much better than theirs. She drinks a lot, sometimes sleeps on the job and tries as much as possible to relenquish her work to others. She is one hell of a gambler, mostly cause she loves eating and there is only so much food you can consume. So, what better than making people bet their loaf of bread and [cheating] in the process to make sure you win double the loaf of bread you put down (nobody knows of that, of course).

“The world I woke up to was a nightmare...”

↦↦↦That first graze of wind on her skin, she would never forget it. The giddy currents flowing, tickling her senses to wake up. Her eyelids slowly opening to be greeted with the hues of the bright blue sky and the beige of the faces of those she would soon call family. Anisha woke up during the sudden rise in interest in solving the maze. The thrill was exciting, life outside of this small land of greens? What could possibly be out there! Something much more significant, perhaps more diverse? She formed so many theories of how the world outside looked like. Maybe the grass grew pink or blue! Perhaps they could touch the clouds or taste new fruits! Dreams and dreams to fuel her imagination.
Like any short-lived pleasure, the parent of pain came hunting. Two letters came as a warning. From who? A mystery like everything in this maze. Anisha stood side by side with Ava, the girl she considered as a sister when they decided to force people into the positions of runner. They had to come out of there, as soon as possible. Only, they were already too late. The massive storm hit them before they could even realise. The roofs slats of the hut began to fly into the air crashing onto people. The chaos that ensued opened the box of Pandora. Those with venom in their heart took the opportunity to strike. Anisha would forever remember that godforsaken night, the feeling of her hair whipping violently against her cheeks, the knuckles of fellow Gladers digging deep into her guts when she tried to stop the bloody fight that would haunt her ‘till this day.


The next morning, with the shimmering lights, you could never tell of the storm they had suffered the night before and pure chaos of the winds that howled and tore their brethren from branches to the ground. The storm left all their appliances scattered with no more order than fallen apples and certainly without the beauty. It looked less appealing than a garbage dump. She coughed up blood, her cheeks swollen like a family of bees came poking at her eyes. Jordan was over her tending to her wounds. Her lips felt numb, and she could barely distinguish his features when she asked him what happened after she passed out. Knowing her, he knew he would have to give her all the details and so he did.

Since that day, waking up was no longer the pleasure it was. There was a fleeting moment where she felt whole again, but it quickly evaporated like summer rain off the scorched earth. She inevitably inherited the position Thomas left to take leadership and became keepers of builders. It was a good distraction from the grieving glades. The worst was seeing all the blood splattered on the wooden plates, but she quickly became desensitised and showed no emotions, hiding it all behind a poker face. She put all her sweat, all her energy in rebuilding what once was. She left the others to decide on what to do, most were sellouts anyway. Headless chickens when calm was needed the most.

Should the runners remain a position? What a bunch of idiots….

Should they stay in the glades or run? What a fucking stupid question to even ask. Obviously, run.

But where to was the question.

Beside her occasional political snapping and ranting which left everyone gasping, she shut her mouth knowing it wouldn’t lead anywhere with these people. She took a step back, training her body and mind to face the harsh reality of this world. She knew it wouldn’t be the last time they would have to face a storm like that. It was just a matter of time. Reforms after reforms, it was a continuous process. To keep her busy, she switched to becoming keepers of bricknicks (it suited more her style of work) and she helped expand the fields with the track-hoes, she proposed to renovate the food shacks and homestead. Maybe to improve the foundation, making it more efficient. It wasn’t to settle down like many thoughts. She was really bending to Thomas’ will neither was she conforming. It was just a question of making sure nobody would get buried under their roof again.

On June, Thomas’ leadership was questioned. As expected, you can’t possibly live in a puzzle without instinctively wanting to solve it. Perhaps, this was one of the few times she vocalised her opinions. She made it clear where she stood, she made it clear that remaining in the Glades was out of the question. It surprised many considering she often portrayed nonchalance, she lived day by day and seemed content laying on the grass with her little inventions playing music. She never proposed herself to run, she never seemed that strong-willed to get the hell out of there, at least not to the intensity she demonstrated at that moment. But there was not a doubt in her voice when she said ‘’The glades aren’t meant to be overstayed,’’. Thomas’ ideas and beliefs were just too weak to withstand the trial of time. Turns out he was even weaker in mind. Taking his own life was a tragedy, and she buried yet another friend or someone she used to call a friend, but she was done crying over the dead.

That day when the weekly supply didn’t come up, she knew it was the beginning of the end.

Vee makes for quite the sight; with hair as dark as her humour and an attitude that far extends her small height. A whirlwind of a person, it would not bade well to provoke her. Her dark eyes already void of much light, the black holes with suck all air within the room with one stony glance at quick witted remarks. Yet, it would do her beauty no justice to describe her through the persona of which she uses to protect herself. There’s a reason why some people hate small talk — in fact, there are many — and Vera Rubin is one of those people. Suffering from what people would’ve once called ADHD, her mind is always working overtime, racing from one idea from another. With so much going on inside of her brain — tick tick ticking — she finds it hard to accompany the needs of other people. Yet, this often works as both a blessing and a curse. Although easily distracted, when her mind fixates on something, Vee is determined, and will not be swayed from her fixation until the job is done, and done to utter perfection.

Building, to her, is a true escape. Although she can find herself a little intrusive to the bricknicks, Vera is intrigued by both the small intricacies of mechanics and the complexities of architectural beauties and civil engineering. And, boy, does she love to know how things work. Knowledge and intelligence are a sure way to catch her eye, or at least make her acquaintance, for she’s drawn to it like a fly to honey. After all, if you’re going to deflect her attention, at least make it worthwhile.

Her racing mind should be considered just one of a few reasons for her withdrawal. However, whatever the reasons, there is no denying that Vera is more inclined to her own company and tends to push those who probe near very rashly away. Her words are often cold, guarding herself with sarcasm and sit, which is often enough to divert a large majority of people scrambling in the other direction.

Nonetheless, beneath icy exterior, Vee has the sweetest of hearts. Passionate, loving, and headstrong, when committed to a cause the young woman does so wholly. There is no such thing as half way, for her, it’s all or nothing.

History
When Vee arrived, the glade was already beginning to thrive as something that resembled civilised society. Scared and overwhelmed by all that was going on, she remained in her shell, appearing unwanting to mix and mingle with the rest of the people her age. People begin to suspect that the box had sent them a slopper, one of the lowest of their society, who provided little and wasted good resources. That was until one day she was found fumbling around, building what appeared to be a few pieces of scrap metal and fallen wood into a distillation system. The act was reported to the former keeper of bricknicks , with the suggestion that such a mind would be a valuable addition to their team.

Although it was clear that Vera certainly had some skills, she fell short in the department of people and appeared to uphold reluctance to work as a team. The major shortcoming, and icing on the cake, came as the young woman confessed that she had little interesting in “fixing things” but rather preferred “conjuring something from nothing”. Out of options, the former keeper of the bricknicks confessed that they were beginning to struggle seeing a place for Vera, and suggested she’d be better off with the builders.

This was at first a comical notion, which nobody took seriously. Building was about teamwork, which Vera clearly didn’t seem ready to submit to. The Bricknicks were the ones whom the anti-social stereotype had formerly clung to. All the same, exasperated, the leader agreed to the transfer to uphold peace among the keeps, and it was swiftly done.

For some time Vee was pushed around by a bigger fish of the keep, Murph, whom resented how they were placed on the same level even though he’d been there for a lot longer than herself. This toxicity erupted in a full scale confrontation, a few nights after she had been mysteriously attacked, and he had as good as confessed.

The argument quickly soured when he attempted to stab her with one of the tools, escalating into a full scale brawl. As one would presume, the fight was quickly broken up, with most (unsurprisingly) noting that Murph had one. Needing medical attention, trial was delayed for a number of days while Vee recovered, during which Murph was able to build a damning case against her.

As the trial played out, the more the guilt appeared to worsen on her behalf, in spite of her only crime being the will of hard work and the rewards it reaps. Indeed, it was so much so, that the young builder was sentenced to exile, for attempt to disrupt the peace and murder another glader. Alone, without allies, Rubin’s only hope was to plead to her keeper to pursue an appeal, that she was falsely accused and committed. Claiming she could not question the system of the Glade, the keeper left her to decay, something that Rubin would never forget.

Desperate, having been told the horror stories of life beyond the walls, Vera began to work on a way to escape the shabby prison. Angered, and ready to commit the charges that she was going down for, the incarnation of wrath used what was left of her wits to mechanically destruct her prison cell and pursue Murph. The confrontation began to escalate once more and, no stronger than she was the last time, Rubin was quickly beaten down. Ready to murder, “in self defence”, Murph made the mistake of confessing that he was glad to finally do so. Overheard, by a glader who had came to investigate the commotion, he was quickly contained, and the two roles of prisoner and victim were promptly reversed.

A day before the trial of Murph, Vera attended his cell in search of some answers. Why? She had no intentions to forgive, nor did Murph have any intentions of apologising. Yet, the more she probed, the more his defences began to crumble — more, and more, and more — until he broke down and confessed to being plagued (by nightmares of another life and the overwhelming fear of failure). Little had been said on Rubin’s behalf by the time she left.

As the trial came to a conclusion the next day, and it began to look as though Murph would meet her formerly assigned date, the usual introvert rose and gave a speech on behalf of her attacker. She wished for the charges to be dropped. Of course, this immediately evokes shock and horror from the leaders around. Why? They couldn’t begin to comprehend. Why would she want such a violent criminal to remain amongst them?

However, without a victim, they failed to charge the villain of anything, and the trial was acquitted. In search of answers, Murph sheepishly approached Rubin a few days later. Instead of brawling, the impossible appeared to be-fold, with the two of them sitting down to talk about what had happened and why. Vee confessed to Murph that his discontented feelings were not unknown to her, and that she could understand him.

As time continued on, the Keeper apologetically approached Vee, offering her a position as her adviser. Veritably, Rubin confessed that although she could forgive, it was hard to forget, and recommended Murph take the job instead; she was not built to lead, or even help lead, but to create. And so the system continued to prosper, as though it had never been disturbed, with Murph and Rubin a true force to be reckoned with.

It was the split that tore the two apart, whose friendship - by this point - had begun to develop into something a little more. Murph advocated to leave, alongside many influential others. Rubin, though a lover of adrenline and adventure, tried to emphasise to them the disaster that it would be. They didn’t listen. Shortly after, they were presumed to be deceased, following the retrieval of body parts, by runners, within the maze.

More withdrawn than ever, following the catastrophe, Vera had no intentions of fulfilling the gaping hole that both her best friend and leader (when moving positions) had left. For this reason, she welcomed Nisha to the role. Quite similar to herself, but gifted the skills to interact with other people, Rubin found that Nisha wasn’t hard to like at all, and quickly accumulated respect by the builders. When she left, to lead the bricknicks, it became apparent to Vee that it would take someone with the experience and passion to uphold the legacy that Murph and their Keeper had built. So, inspired by Nisha, Rubin took on the role.

appearance: Arlo comes equipped with a slim-fit build and pale skin that easily bronzes. His hair is dark blonde and usually messy, sometimes laying over his forehead or sticking up over all ends. Arlo's eyes are hard to decipher; sometimes they're blue, sometimes they're green, and sometime's they're grey. He's tall, towering over most at 6'1, but most people wouldn't guess how much of a giant he is from afar. He prefers comfortable clothes and is definitely not the type of guy that can wear green pants and a blue shirt and find nothing wrong with it. He's big on sweaters and layers and sometimes looks a little old-school.

personality: Arlo is unpredictable. Sometimes he's sweet to you, sometimes he's a downright dick, but those are really the extremes. The best way to describe Arlo is as moody. Usually he's pretty neutral, neither overly nice nor utterly evil, but if you tick him off he will become the most toxic, salty, and definitely rude person you have come across. That being said, tell him he has the day off and you'll find a your favorite animal carved out of wood and crudely painted sitting on your bed the next morning.

Though as moody as a teenager at the peak of puberty, it's only fair to say that some things do remain constant about him. Arlo will always find humor in everything- dark, dry, and esoteric humor. Arlo is a talker, and he'll say anything on his mind. He can be sweet, but Arlo is no optimist. At most, he is a realist, but it is most accurate to call the lanky giant a pessimist. To him, that's the best way to make sure that situations won't let you down. Low crop yields are less disappointing when that is exactly what you expected. That being said, as backwards as this may be, his pessimistic behavior produces him an unpredictable risk taker. Negative as he is, he finds there is no thrill when there is no sense of impending doom. Even if he thinks something will fail, you might find him to be the number one proponent. After all, the results of your actions can't be worse than your expectations if you're the world's biggest cynic.

history: Suffice it to say, Arlo's experience his first month at the Glade was surely enough to change him.

The Gladers found him sitting in the middle of the Box clutching a note with letters printed large. As if the words on that piece of paper weren't enough to frighten him, Arlo spent his day in the Glade with suspicious, piercing eyes following him if he ever got up to use the restroom or get himself a plate of below moderate food. He barely spoke a word that day, even when his name finally came to mind.

Then nightfall came. The entire Glade was wrought with strong storms and heavy rain, the sound of thunder filling Arlo's ears and the lighting breaking up the sky. Arlo found himself pressed back against an unfamiliar structure, heart pounding loud enough to block out the thunder, and eyes watching the Gladers around him run around in chaos. He watched buildings fall to the ground under pouring rain and people fall to their knees with them. No other welcome to the Glade could possibly be as terrifying as this one, as Arlo at one point stopped to wonder whether his face was soaked with rain or frightful tears. Later he found out it was neither; it was blood.

The next morning Arlo woke up with his back on blood-stained grass and eyes squinting from the sun. It was as if the events from the night before were simply a nightmare for the first few moments. The sky was an obnoxious blue and the sun had not a single grey cloud to hide behind. But then Arlo pushed himself up and saw around him Gladers with broken limbs, bleeding foreheads, and crazed looks in their eyes. At least their eyes no longer held disdain, though. Arlo suddenly was filled with a strange sense of something, and he pushed himself off the ground and began walking toward a fallen building. It was small, perhaps an outhouse before the previous night's events. Enough work to keep a man busy for a day, but not enough to split between two. He picked up a fallen plank beside the building and set to work.

Again that night storms rough havoc. Though he had experienced it once before, it wasn't any less terrifying. Funny, as a risk taker one would think he'd break everything he touches, but when Arlo woke the next morning, his outhouse was still standing.

Though he still had to go through the job rotation, it was basically decided from the start that he would be a bricknick. The previously watching and mute Arlo decided to open his mouth. He knew that if ever something like that happened again, and this time he died without saying a word, he'd regret it. So he became the most unfiltered jackass known to man. The experience made him deadset on the idea of leaving the Glade, even though the group that left to explore the Maze never came back alive. He knew that in the Glade, he was bound to die, and Arlo isn't ready to die. He has so much left to say.

strengths: He's fairly adaptable to social situations. Arlo is pretty good at running his mouth, and no social situation will stop him. He's pretty sly, so that works in his favor. Arlo is also strong from working to repair the Glade. He also has good attention to detail. He talks a lot, but he also won't miss a thing you say.

weaknesses: Arlo is quick to come to judgements. He might talk to you the same as his best friend, but that doesn't mean he likes you. Within the first five minutes of your first interaction, he'll have already decided whether or not he likes you. He can be manipulative and apathetic, which leads to a whole lot of people really not liking him. He's also pretty shit at running.
