I was intentionally sparse on the details, but the idea would incorporate magic as a separate force from ki abilities (think avatar bending) while the story would be a redemption arc for a girl who messed up just about as badly as you can, which will require her to grow - a lot - as a person. Different races and planes of existence - much like mortal kombat - with the option for romance, trauma and all sorts of drama
