Be it with protection or augmentation, the suit is designed for heavy combat and tanking, extra layers of protection and strenght enhancing nanomachines injected within Markus's system, in tune with the suit allows him to be barely slowed by the outright heavy armor. The suit not only offers great protection from almost all kinds of projectiles and weapons, it also increases the user's natural regeneration tenfold. Allowing the user to recover from minor wounds within a day or two, and large ones at a much reduced time when compared to someone normal.

No painkillers, the user feels all the pain and agony, they just heal faster...painfully faster. The suit will do everything in its power to keep the bearer alive, as well as bringing many other gadgets. Like a visor with a active radar, that locates enemies through soundwaves emmited from the helmet, a "scan" if you will. it detects and lists threats and objectives. it comes equiped with a night vision and thermal vision mode. As well as an X-ray scanner.

Olio Native or Refugee: Native

Personality: Kind, Honorable, good sense of humor and very protective of his crewmates. He enjoys sparring and combat, specially meele combat, which he adores.

He is the first to engage in the defense of his ally, so much as taking a bullet for them if need be, the moment he sees any of his friends threatened, he acts, and thinks later.

Outside of that he is easy to get along with and he is quite smart and inteligent for a knight, he likes strategizing and commonly can be seen forming up plans alongside the captain and the executive officer on missions and whatnot.

He is extremely selfless, and doning one of the Vanguard suits, he can very well die by sheer selflessness, because the suit fires up his adrenal glands and all of his senses to beyond maximum. This causes his crewmates to worry about him, which prompts him to make light of it, as "he should be the one worrying about them" in his eyes.

Bio: Life wasn't ever easy in the olioverse, but Markus's life was close to being easy, he was raised in one of the very few rich families inhabiting the colonies, his father was a military veteran and a successful businessman, and as such he had connections up the whazoo so he could keep the riches and everything. But this easy life changed when his father funded the "Vanguard" program himself. And his son was one of the first inducted within the program...that is, before his father was assassinated...with no evicende showing what or who did it.

The Vanguard program was the first of four other programs, the Stalker, The Augment and last one, the SIGMA project. With the Sigma project being a combination of the three other programs which served as nothing more than a beta test for Sigma. But that is a story for another time.

The Vanguard program was dubbed the "Knight" program. As in, it was focused on specialists with meele combat and the specialists being tough as nails to kill and to put down in general, the problem with the Vanguard program was that...if the enemies they faced, which hinged from terrorist forces, to gangs, to the zombie-like beings known as "Necros" in the obscure parts of the olioverse, the biggest threat to the Vanguards...was their own suits.

The Vanguard suit had a very, and ever increasing chance of killing the user with adrenal failure. Resulting in their instant deaths upon usage of the suit's special abilities. This in turn made the program a failure and "Scrapped" and any remaining members of the program were deemed illegal to wear the suits, much like the Operatives of the Stalker program, Vanguards were hunted down with even more ruthlessness.

Markus refused to give up his suit, even though it put him at risk, he will not comply to the military's wishes anymore, because he believes they were responsible for the death of his father and the ruin of his life.

Now he finds himself in the voluntas, matched up with a crew of misfits and even a STALKER operative as well!, pherhaps he will encounter other specialists from other programs as well?

Weapons:

Asunder: The blue laser sword in his appearance.

Basically a lightsaber, capable of slicing apart metal, skin, anything in seconds as well as melt things from the sheer heat and intensity of the beam, interestingly enough his suit is highly resistant to it due to a certain magnetic tuning specific for the Vanguard suits, the sword is light, and runs on a self replenishing, unperisheable power source, it doesn't run out, and never weakens. Secret unknown technology, military's finest.

Problem is the sword can't be dismantled without it self destructing, and only works with the owner's fingerprints being detected on touch, so no one other than Markus can utlize this sword.

Armor enhancement: Energy projection: The Vanguard suit comes with two modes.

Vanguard operatives never needed to use projectile weapons, be it energy or bullets, they never needed any, because of their suit's augment allowed them to project energy from their suit's experimental energy cells into projectiles themselves, be them explosive orbs, energy shields for protection to a second sword or weapon. Markus can project any of these things and use them as weapons or defensive measures with the suit's energy.

Armor enhancement: Burst mode.

The illegal mode, which killed many vanguard users before. What it does is that it boosts the user's adrenal glands and reflexes massively, increasing their speed, reflexes, strenght, increased toughness, you name it.

This all comes, however, at great pain to the user upon activation and the chance of outright killing the operative on usage OR after the effect runs out. Luckily Markus survived to this day.

Now though, the suit's lfie threatening effect has beem reduced by Arkham, the weapon and general ordinance specialist and general tinkerer, to almost 90% of reduced life threat, but the suit still hurts like a bitch to use, and might just cripple Markus from overusage one day, or outright kill him, its still a possibility.

Theme song (optional):

Other:

He's very touchy abouts his parents and what happened to his father, he would rather not think, or talk about it.

Markus sees his fellow crewmates as family, even the half orc is considered a fellow family member as well, he treats them all with as much respect as he can, and let no one tell you otherwise.

"Who is this Mr. Null anyway?"
