Malick is from the house V'neef


Being born into a dynast house is the dream of millions of children living in threshold so it might surprise them that there are some of the children who are born there that wish to have been born into a normal family somewhere else.


Malick was one such child in before his exaltation, everyday he was living in the shadow of his elder twins siblings: his brother, Kenjack, and sister, Alexia. They where the perfect children every exalted parent could wish for, they had a flare for almost everything they did. By the age of six they had mastered reading and by ten the basics of martial arts so it was no surprise when they exalted and joined the Immaculate order.


On the other hand Malick wasn't that good at combat, his close combat skills where just barely passable for a dynast child and it was a shock to everyone when he exalted. Having been neglected compared to Kenjack and Alexia his parents suddenly had a problem... Suddenly they had to find something he was good at or risk suffering a bad reputation. It took the teachers months of hard work but they found the area he excelled at: Sorcery.


It didn't thrill his parents but it was better than nothing, so he was allowed to study it on the condition that no demons where to be summoned in their manse. It has been ten years since his exaltation and now he is a competent sorcerer with ambitions to finally step out of the shadow of his elder siblings.

A quick look shows me that you have a few more dots in artifacts to allocate. With 4 dots, you get one item at the 4 dot level, then 4 more dots to be split as you wish - y'know, 4 level 1's, 2 level 2's.


Same goes for the hearthstones.
 
Technically it's just 8 dots to distribute, without going above 4 in any one artifact.


What? I certainly do not have a dozen Exalted books open right now
 
If you need me to I have the book in PDF and can copy/paste them here for you to read, Sherwood.
 
First, most of the stones in OC will be allowed. There may be one or two that push the boundries that I'll have to say 'no' to.


Second, I don't suppose it's possible for me to get a copy of that PDF file? I have the hard copy at home, but I like having the PDFs for travel.
