Personality
Lumen is a quiet girl, often keeping her opinions and thoughts to herself. This isn't due to being shy or being unable to speak to people. It's a choice. Lumen prefers to observe, often enjoying learning things about others without speaking to them. She's very good at reading people, and feels that you can only get to really know someone by watching them when they're not watching. Despite her quiet temperament, Lumen can have a terrible temper if you hit the wrong note with her. Though she doesn't often show her temper, if you happen to invoke it, it's quite a sight to behold. She can hold grudges for years, and never forgets when someone wrongs her. Insults always hit hard, and she never lets them go, despite seeming as if she has. Lumen has a great memory and can recall any single insult you've spoken to her, ever. She has a very soft side that is often kept hidden, until she knows you well, or until she sees a cute animal. She can be quite sentimental and loving, if people deserve it. Despite her attempt to look and act tough, she's quite sensitive and can easily be hurt, though she'd die before admitting that to anyone.

Made of light.
Lumen, as her name implies, despite being human, is made of light. She can choose when to use this power, though she always glows just slightly. When used full blast, she practically disappears into a bright white light shaped like her body- often blinding, accompanied by extreme heat that can burn skin easily. Lumen can control the intensity of both the light and heat, though she has trouble doing so when her emotions are running high. Depending on the emotion she feels when she uses this power, the light can change color ever so slightly. When she is light, she can float and go where she wants easily- though this takes a lot of energy, and she will have to rest for a long while after doing so. When she is in her light form, she can hear and feel every living thing on Earth, making it useful for tracking people if needed.
Lumen, because of her light ability, can take possession of someone. However, she can only do this for a very short amount of time, and it takes an incredible amount of energy. She really has to focus in order to do this, She has only done this once in her life before, and it wasn't a pleasant experience, so she is not eager to repeat it. Besides taking a large amount of energy, this also can cause horrible side effects for Lumen. Despite only being able to control someone for a few short minutes, their thoughts and general alignment (evil/good, ect) can make her ill. She doesn't do well in those who's body is filled with darkness, since she is a light being. This effect can bother her for months sometimes.
Lumen can play piano and violin, after taking lessons since she was a small child.
She can speak English and German fluently and is learning Russian, though she is having a hard time with it.
Lumen enjoys painting and sculpting, though she isn't sure if she has a "talent" or not.
