The sun was out the water, a clear blue, the sky a picture perfect blue. Another day for flying, though today was gonna be a bit different, because, strike fighter squadron two-seven, the royal maces had gotten their deployment orders, they had been given a nine-month deployment schedule, which meant that they would be gone well into next year, but hopefully they could get back before Christmas, because, they all wanted to see their families, but it was gonna be unlikely so they all had to bear with it. The commander of this squadron was Adam King, he was in his mid-thirties, he was a man of average build, but tall height, He had dark hair and eyes that looked like they had blood in them all the time, but that was more due to a physical defect with his eyes that he had, otherwise he could see in perfect 20/20 vision, so that didn't prevent him from flying at all. He had a bit of a tan on him but mostly was white.
Right now, he was giving his deployment briefing, he was only just starting when he heard the squadron door open and he looked over to the door before he saw a new person walk over to him and hand him a slip of paper and standing at a position of attention and saluting him, he looked over the paper for a few moments before he realized that these were transfer orders, reading through the paper he saw that she had been assigned to be his Weapons Systems Officer, which was good, because he had been forced to give up his, which sucked but what could you really do about it. He just saluted her back and told her to take her seat as he started the briefing.
