Multiple Settings Looking for Detailed and Serious RPers (long term and very detailed)

Multiple
Hello everyone, I am Will. I am 21. ( I usually prefer my partners to be 18+). I've been looking for some legit roleplays because I've only had about one or two ongoing (which are both great, but only one is truly active, and I think I need another). I adore rping and have been rping for probably six years now. I’ve come a long way since I first started rping, trust me, rereading old email rps, oh man... wicked cringe.

I am a full-time college student, taking 21 credits currently. I also work about 15-20 hours a week. During exam periods I am less frequent, but if the roleplay is well worth it I can usually reply multiple times a day. An average post can be once a day to about once or twice a week. So I will always post. I should be able to post at least once a day. If you are interested, please PM me, and now a new rule that I have, I will be asking you for a sample of your writing. I just want to get a sense of how detailed you are as a rper. It is happened too many times where someone promises me they are detailed, I write 10+ paragraphs and get like two in return.

Key Notes:
  • Please, have decent grammar and spelling. I am totally okay with some mistakes, nobody's perfect and I make them too. I just need to be able to follow and understand your writing.

  • I love detailed writing. I do not have a length requirement, but the more detailed the better. I usually match length so we should be on the same page for the most part. :)

  • I enjoy creating the plot together. I feel we are both more invested if we collab our own ideas to the entire story.

  • Both of us should hold our own in terms of plot. We both should be pushing it along, not one more than the other.

  • I can rp with dark subject matters.

  • I am over 18, and I do welcome mature content, but only if it is wanted. So let me know.

  • Talking out of character is great and I’d love to be friends with anyone, as well as talk about the rp freely.

  • I LOVE making characters. Just an f.y.i

  • Side/npc/more than one character is a MUST.

  • I do not write in first person.

Loose Plot Ideas
If you decide to continue one of these plots with me we will discuss it further and develop the plot more with both of our ideas. If you do wish to continue with one of these plots, please copy and paste the plot into your message to me. Thank you.

*Looking very much for Harry Potter in any era rps as well. (OCs preferably)

Modern Plots
Several years ago, your character moved away from their quiet hometown to explore life in a busy city, only to discover that it’s not as great as they’d once hoped. Looking for comfort and a break from the hustle and bustle, your character travels back to the place they grew up in with the intention of staying only for a few days. As your character crosses the town limits, they recall one of their favorite childhood places to hang out - a small field out by an abandoned farmhouse that had an old tree with a wooden swing. Taking a chance, your character drives out there, pleasantly surprised to see the tree and swing still there. Your character remembers how they used to meet my character at this swing after school when they were kids. My character was your character’s first everything. They ended thing abruptly and harshly just before your character decided to move away and then they completely lost touch. Unbeknownst to your character, my character still comes to this spot to reminisce about the good, old days. When your character takes a seat on the old swing, relaxing in the gentle breeze, the familiar, but aged, voice of my character catches their attention.
Your character is the very definition of first class. They come from a wealthy background and a long line of successful business tycoons who have always known how to get ahead. Your character is no exception. After graduating from a prestigious university, they took a seat on the board of their family’s company and quickly proved that their hire wasn’t just a case of nepotism. Though they had some critics when first getting started, your character took the company into a brand-new direction and managed to stay at the top for years. With a high profile career like that, your character has had a high profile social life. Their circle of friends is exclusive and highly sought after, and it’s quite hard to get a foot in the door with them.

Your character met my character on a cross country flight when they were bumped up to first class and seated next to them. Though they hit it off almost instantly, when my character mentions that they’re a middle school teacher, your character knows it’s going to be a problem. They really get along though, so once they land, they make plans to go on an actual date. The chemistry is there, definitely, but your character refuses to bring my character around any of their friends. In fact, their friends are under the impression that your character is still very much single.

Twist added: One of your character’s friends recognize my character as the heir of an incredibly well known socialite that runs in a different circle than theirs. My character is actually worth more than your character is.
Unable to afford a plane ticket home this year, my character resigns to grabbing a tv dinner for one at the local supermarket and flying solo. They don’t expect to bump into their ex’s (your character’s) parents in the frozen food section nor do they expect to receive an invitation to spend the holidays at their cabin in the mountains. My character honestly doesn’t think it’s a good idea to accept, but when your character’s parents insist that your character will be happy to see them, my character agrees to join. My character packs a bag and drives up the cabin the following afternoon, hopeful for a pleasant reunion with your character, whom they still have feelings for. only when your character answers the door in stunned silence, it’s immediately clear that my character is the last person they expected to see on this family vacation. It doesn’t take long for my character and your character to realize that your character’s parents are scheming to get them back together. But will the parents’ efforts—paired with a romantic atmosphere and plenty of opportunities for cozying up by the fire—do the trick?
Your character and my character meet one night at the carnival that comes to town every year before school starts. They hit it off well—maybe they kiss, maybe more. They exchange numbers and agree to go out sometime—there was undeniable chemistry that they both wanted to explore. All of that comes crashing down when your character, who is a senior in high school, walks into class on the first day and finds my character sitting behind the teacher's desk. How will they cope with the discovery that a relationship would be illegal? Will my character break it off before it goes any further? Will your character be disgusted and beg to switch classes? Or will they work something out, both knowing that, if caught, my character will lose their job, and your character cloud be expelled—or worse?
My character and friends rent a room at a beachfront hotel. It’s super convenient that said room is on the first floor because they can simply toss the beach umbrellas and chairs over the balcony rail after a long day of baking in the sun and sand. My character gets back to the room first and plays catcher as friends toss up items over the balcony rail, but they can’t account for their friends’ poor aim. When a frisbee sails over to the neighbor’s balcony, my character decides to climb over and retrieve it before anyone notices. Of course, as my character gets halfway over the rail, your character, the cutie next door, steps out onto their balcony and catches my character trespassing.
Your character meets my character at a club and the pick-up line that would drive these two into the bedroom? “i’m in a band.“ Your character loves band members, simply the idea of them was enough to entice, and it’s not like she expected them to call even though he promised to. Little does she know that my character would, only two days later – they invite them to a concert and of course, your character graciously accepts the offer. She’s watching the show from backstage and my character offers her a wink and she almost despises him for being so attractive. As the show finishes, he’s just about to walk past her but his hand latches onto hers, guiding her into the vacant dressing room – his bandmates have all gone for a celebratory dinner, to which he insisted that he’ll be there – but he might be running a little late. Thus beginning a string of after-show one night stands – are they even called one night stands anymore at this point? – regardless, their little habit is bound to be revealed. How many times are they going to show up to band meetings together, equally disheveled as if she’d performed on stage alongside them. Your character will eventually have to question what exactly is going on between them because she doesn’t want to be his secret any longer.
Muse A is fresh out of school and isn’t quite sure what they want to do with their life next. Before they can start shopping their resume around, they get a call from the casting department at a major TV network. Muse A almost forgot about the impromptu audition tape that they made for a Real World-esque reality TV show several weeks ago. To their surprise, they’ve been chosen to be a cast member! With no obligations holding them back, they pack their bags and fly out to the house where they’ll be living with 6 other people for the summer. Muse B is one of their cast mates—the first person Muse A meets upon arriving at the house. With a little coaxing from production, it isn’t long before Muse A and Muse B are in a full-blown show-mance: cuddling in the common areas of the house, kissing in the confessional booth, fighting about the other flirting with someone else at the club and so on. Overall, the experience is a blast for Muse A and the relationship with Muse B is fun, but it’s nothing Muse A anticipates to last once the show is over. Everyone parts ways when the show wraps at the end of summer, including the house’s it-couple. One week after taping ends, Muse A hears a knock at their front door. It’s Muse B, who’s just moved across the country in the hopes of continuing their romance with Muse A.
The small suburban town Muse A and Muse B live in is in many ways the same as hundreds of others across the country. Like many places it harbors a few local urban legends and scary stories passed on over weekend bonfires and at summer camps The most well known here is the story of the ‘Pigman.’ The Pigman was a farmer who lived on the rural outskirts of town. He was a private man, so private in fact, that in order to keep the locals away from his property, the Pigman would place the heads of butchered swine on stakes near the end of his long, winding driveway to discourage any solicitors. Back in the 1950’s three troublemaking teenagers had trespassed onto the Pigman’s farm. The following night it wasn’t the heads of pigs that adorned the stakes, but the heads of the unwelcome interlopers, their decapitated corpses swinging from the road’s overpass. Now it’s almost considered a rite of passage to drive down Pigman Road at night. The especially brave will park the car and take a midnight walk underneath the bridge. With Halloween in the air, Muse A and Muse B decide to embark on this little adventure. The drive is fairly uneventful and although the backwoods setting is a little creepy for the suburb dwellers, Muse A wants to impress Muse B with their bravery, and talks them into going for a stroll.

It starts quietly enough, but then the pair begin to hear the sound of metal against metal out in the field, almost as if someone is hammering a post into the ground. Muse B’s mind starts to imagine the worst, but Muse A assures them it is nothing. Muse A advances towards the sound, determined to prove that it’s all a case of Muse B’s imagination running wild. Muse B stays with the car, too spooked to follow. The minutes tick on and Muse B becomes more and more worried about Muse A’s absence. Finally Muse A comes running in a panic, shouting at Muse B to get in the car, but when they both jump in and lock the doors, the car refuses to start. They’re stranded on Pigman Road.
Fantasy/Science Fiction Plots Plots
In the year 2080, people are finally able to travel through space and time rather than just being limited to travel to a geographical location. Time travel is the best vacation money can buy and it’s surprisingly inexpensive. There are restrictions, of course, that must be followed to ensure the integrity of the space-time continuum. A time traveler must learn the historical background, customs, manner of speaking and dress of the era before booking a trip; there is an exam to ensure such conditions are met. Most importantly, they must not interfere in the events of an era native’s life in any significant way. Your character time travels for the first time after passing their exam and is ready to explore. They meet my character, an era-native, almost right away, encountering them in trouble. Your character knows that they aren’t allowed to interfere, but they can’t in good conscience turn a blind eye to someone in trouble.. because your character interferes, they are barred from returning to their present day. It’s in the fine print of their time travel itinerary, which they failed to read.
A mermaid is tired of her immortality and life in the sea. She is confronted by a human witch who offers her a chance to turn human permanently. The witch will turn her human as long as she gives her ten souls. These souls must be male and must be killed at the point of climax. During this time she met and fell in love with a human. When the witch finds out, she orders the human to be the 10th sacrifice. Will she trade her love for the chance to live a human life? What will happen if she refuses? (You will play the mermaid)
a rebellion type story where I am a government soldier who is captured by a rebel camp/alliance and you are apart of that team
a play of a male or female version of the 'ruler' of hell. Like 'Lucifer' or 'Luci' but for whatever reason they come to the human world seeking a power, or feel a power to be sought out and have to pose in a human form and the other character becomes involved (and plays with romance)
Historical Context Plots
A RP where my character is a man raised in a wild environment and meets a girl raised in civilization.
In the 1760s, British Parliament made local governments of the American colonies to provide the British soldiers with any needed accommodations and housing. They required colonists to provide food for any British soldiers in the area. This law originally intended as a response to issues that arose during the French and Indian War and soon became a source of tension between the inhabitants of the Thirteen Colonies and the government in London, England. These tensions would later fuel the fire that led to the American Revolution. Ideally this roleplay would center around a British soldier who was being ‘quartered’ with a colonial family. I intend for it to be a romantic story, especially as it moves towards the beginnings of the Revolution. As for the female counterpart, this can go many ways; a servant or maid of the colonial family, a daughter, or another family member, perhaps the quarter master’s wife.
In 1760, Alexander’s mother, Eliza paid for her passage to the Americas under the contract of Mister Preston Newman, as his indentured servant. She would be bound by contract for seven years to work for him, in exchange for housing and food, as a maid. Eliza worked hard and well for two years, her master quite proud of her. But upon her second year she became pregnant with a child. A bastard. It was illegal for an indentured servant to have a child, and so when the child came, Eliza was sent to a Convent, and the child to the closest orphanage. Years passed and the small boy grew with no knowledge of who he was or where he came from, except a small cross that was left with him when he was a baby. The initials, E.P.R. were engraved into the back of the cross. Alex was a sprite young boy, he often ventured off without permission, and would earn him quite the punishments when he returned. But he was always out and with him a piece of charcoal and paper he would steal. He could not write or read but he did draw often. He would draw buildings and structures. When he was fourteen years of age, the orphanage head brought him to a carpenter. There he worked on many houses and buildings in exchange for small pay. But as he met more men in passing, shared a few of his drawing of structures he imagined, he caught the attention of an architect in Boston. He was brought to Boston to apprentice under Charles C. Brighton. But of course Alex was still considered an orphan, and his apprenticeship payed little, and so when he was not apprenticing Brighton, he worked just outside of the city as a laborer for an older couple who agreed to provide him with food and housing if he would manage chores for them. I would plan for your female character to be either a woman of a well respected family in Boston, maybe she lives near the older couple, or she too works for the older couple. She could have a father or family member who is in close relation with Brighton. Maybe she is an indentured servant in the city, or somewhere else and they grow close? The choice is up to you.
This plot line follows a German Soldier and a Jewish girl. Your character will be a runaway Jewish girl, who likely has changed her name and has gone on to create her own life in a profession of your choice. I figured it could be something like a cinema keeper, librarian, or something along that line. My character will be a German war hero, who has very quickly come up through the ranks and is in whatever city your character is in for Business. Let’s use Paris right now. My character will come across yours, likely in the place she works, or perhaps a coffee shop. But they will share a connection over movies, or books, or whatever we decide for them to be interested in, and it is there they will take a liking to each other.
Muse A has been groomed since birth to be a respectable noble-person, constantly reminded to practice the etiquette proper for their gender and expected to anticipate the day they will meet a well-bred suitor. Muse B has never enjoyed the privileged life despite being within arm’s reach of it; they’ve worked on the estate grounds for Muse A’s family since they were a mere child and have observed the high life of the aristocracy all the while with envious eyes. Perhaps due to their contrary social standings, Muse A has always been fascinated with Muse B and vice versa. With Muse A constantly under the watchful eye of their chaperone, Muse A and Muse B have resorted to leaving letters for one another in an old tree on the property; they’ve been planning for several days to meet one another in secret.
Muse A is an unhappy member of the royal family. Since they were a child, they’ve been reared to be a perfect model of virtue and modesty for the common people. For years, they’ve upheld boring traditions and repressed their true passions for the good of the crown. One afternoon, Muse A attends a play at the queen’s theater and is shocked by the vulgarity of the actors’ speech and risqué costumes. The shock quickly turns into intrigue. Though Muse A’s seated in an ornate balcony, sectioned off from the lower-class attendees, Muse A insists on meeting the actors after the play concludes. Muse B, the playwright and lead actor, is humbled when Muse A applauds their work and immediately commissions them to write another play. Muse B is excited, until Muse A reveals that they would like to star in this new play. If the queen disapproves of Muse B’s role for Muse A (or the new play in general), more than Muse B’s livelihood will be at stake.

*I am also interested in some fandoms, so try me! also very much in the mood for some classics like a Hogwarts RP, or Camp Half-Blood RP

G'day, I'd be interested in an RP with ya' if you'd be up for it? I was intrigued by a few but by far by favourite had to be this:
_________________
Female/Male
Two classmates in college, their lives intertwine when she sees him get into a fight at a frat party. He was too drunk so she took him home to sleep it off. The next morning she plays a joke on him about them getting married the night before. She ends up having an accident down the stairs because of a rare genetic illness that causes parts of her body to forget how they work. In this accident she forgets all of her memories. Did she tell him it was a joke before she fell down the stairs? What will he do when he finds out? What about her current Fiancee? Her Family? His Family?

I dunno why exactly but the premise was just a really interesting and unique idea to myself, I'm also a length matcher but a rather detailed writer most of the time unless rushing a response out in the middle of a busy day in which you may only get a paragraph or if you'd rather simply have to wait a little bit for a longer one sorry if this sounded rude argh!? I dunno how to word. //>w<// But anyway, I don't exactly have a specific post length but it is detailed (E.g. 2-10 paragraphs.) I have pretty decent grammar, love a good out of character chat am currently 15 turning 16 next month and have a timezone of AWST I live WA, Australia, hence the rather cliche opening greeting X3 But anyhow, get back to me whenever you can/feel like it!!

hey! i'd be interested in roleplaying with you. i have been gone for some time, but now i'm back and your thread caught my eye.

i prefer replies that are at least paragraph long. more is always better. my grammar, punctuation and all that is quite alright when i'm writing not ooc. i tend to reply every day, if i don't have qny problems in real life.

also! there were two plots, which got my interested, so if they still are open, i'd love to do one of them:

Unable to afford a plane ticket home this year, my character resigns to grabbing a tv dinner for one at the local supermarket and flying solo. They don’t expect to bump into their ex’s (your character’s) parents in the frozen food section nor do they expect to receive an invitation to spend the holidays at their cabin in the mountains. Hey there! I'd be super interested in roleplaying with you if you're still looking!!

I adore the Parent Trap plot that you have, and I feel like it would be a lot of fun

I write a good couple of paragraphs in replies, it honestly just depends on what's currently going on in the roleplay, but I definitely won't send you very short replies
and I am good at getting one or two replies out a day

And definitely interested.

The links to my thread (examples of my writing) and extra tidbits can be found in this forum.

I'm in love with several of your prompts, however I can not start a message with you at the moment. If interested, let me know and I can send you my character's about me for the prompt we have in mind?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi there! I was just scrolling through RPN and I saw your thread, which looked interesting, so here I am!

I was browsing through your plot ideas, and in the modern/realistic ones, Hometown caught my eye the most.

All of your fantasy ideas sound amazing, and in the historical themed ones, I really liked the Victorian 1 idea.

Hiya, I'd be interested in starting an rp with you! I kinda of like your general idea of Satan on Earth kind of rp. If you're interested in this rp and discussing ideas and such send me a PM and we can talk or something

Wild Man:
A RP where my character is a man raised in a wild environment and meets a girl raised in civilization.

Satan comes to earth:
a play of a male or female version of the 'ruler' of hell. Like 'Lucifer' or 'Luci' but for whatever reason they come to the human world seeking a power, or feel a power to be sought out and have to pose in a human form and the other character becomes involved (and plays with romance)

But if you are interested I also have a story that plays on the wild man theme :3 But it centers around a mysterious tribe of people deep in the rain forests of cambodia and is a little tarzan like with a band of explorers.

Let me know if you are still looking!
Shark bait OH HA HA!

I'm super interested in the plot above, with quite a few ideas of my own to throw some ideas on this. Unfortunately, I can not send PMs yet, so please feel free to PM me and I'll get back to you ASAP.

I'm really interested, your ideas are great.
The ones I'm most intertwined in are dystopian romance:
a rebellion type story where I am a government soldier who is captured by a rebel camp/alliance and you are apart of that team
And time travel:
In the year 2080, people are finally able to travel through space and time rather than just being limited to travel to a geographical location. I would love to rp with you! I’m crossed between Victorian #1, seeing as it’s my favorite time period, and Satan comes to earth.
