Multiple Settings Looking for a long term advanced literate partner.

Hello all. I am here in search of a partner. About me: I’m a veteran roleplayer though I’ve been out of the game for some time. I got my start on Neopets, graduated to Gaia Online, dabbled on LiveJournal, MSN messenger, Facebook, and email. I find myself with a lot of free time so I’m trying to fill it with a new and fun story.

I've been roleplaying for 10+ years and considered myself advanced literate back in the day and so my writing style is extensive and detailed. I've been out of the game for quite some time so I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things. My posts are usually a minimum of three paragraphs. I would hope for something similar from my partner but I’m not going to outright demand a set minimum. Just know if you give me three sentences, I’m going to lose interest very quickly. I like to engage many parts of a character when I’m writing, their personality, their thought process, their observations. I love playing as and against fully fleshed out characters with distinctive personalities and style. I’m not saying I want to be flooded with requests for Master/slave. I’m saying I like dark themes that are psychologically provocative and don’t shy away from them. I write in 3rd person, I play multiple roles, men and women, Black, Asian, anything, gay, straight, and everything in between. I seek the same open-mindedness in my partners and hope they’re able to do the same.

I’m going to be really particular about what I what in a partner. I know it’s going to alienate some people but this is only to save us both some time. If you consider yourself a pro or advanced, reach out to me. If you don’t think that designation applies to you, don’t offer your hand. I don’t want you to ‘try your best’. I want someone who knows their best is next level. I’m stressing this because its hard to find someone compatible. I’m finding that I’m writing more than some people I’m ‘experimenting’ with so I have to be particular about this. I’d also prefer someone in their mid-20’s and up, living in the Eastern Standard (GMT-4) time zone but these are not strict requirements.

In my partner I hope to find a skilled writer, someone looking to worldbuild with me and bring a story to life. I like detailed responses that engage the senses. Not interested in someone who uses the same three actions and can't adequately follow the story's actions. I'm hoping for a long term partner who I can swap ideas with. I very much don't want to be the only one controlling the narrative as I'll get bored very quickly. I know we all have real life problems to attend to but if you leave me hanging for three days or more without any kind of notice, don’t expect me to want to continue with you when you get back. I might be open to a group setting in the future but for right now, I seek one on one.

I prefer original content over fandom content. My favorite genres in order are:

Science fiction – Along with various punk offshoots: cyberpunk, steampunk, solarpunk, Afropunk/afrofuturism, space operas.
Supernatural – I love a good vampire & werewolf tale as much as the next person but I have a wide range including gods & demigods, the Fae (Seelie/Unseelie Courts), wizards and mages, and more of the like.
Action/Adventure – This could include anything as far as assassins to gang wars.
Dystopia – This could encompass totalitarian governments, various apocalypses, or political intrigue stories.
Time period specific – I love various parts of history. I’m best with Victorian/Georgian/Edwardian England, Roaring 20’s America, ancient Egypt, Golden Age of Piracy, Feudal Japan, Old New York, and anything modern or futuristic.

Okay, I think that’s enough for now. If any of the above intrigues you then reach out and maybe we can build something together. I'll eventually throw up some plot ideas and writing samples.

Hiya!!~ Okay, so gonna be straight forward and clear some things things up right off the back as did yourself, I have an AWST+ timezone, not too mention I'm 'roughly' 17 so not quite at mid twenty point (Ha) though I do consider myself an advanced writer, though I haven't been around the block as long as some others I grew uv with a scientist and teacher as a parent, hence both my vocabulary and in depth writing style have come along in leaps and bounds even before I discovered rping.

I will admit I can slip on grammar on occasion as much as any other but I try my best, I match writing lengths in the way that, if you give me five sentences, I'll aim at the very least to give you five back, if you give me five paragraphs on the other hand, I will once again match that back. //OvO//

I've been around as far as themes, medieval/victorian/modern/fantasy/supernatural are some of my more popular settings and as for characters I also don't participate in fandom but am an avid book and anime love, as such often pulling themes from whatever I'm into at the moment. I love to worlbuild and bounce back ideas, sharing plot creation and starting with a barebones CS and building that character up over time not only through planned events but from genuine flowing experiences, I've had rp's going on for three+ years with the same person in a 1x1 setting and adored them all, we still rp to this day at our almost five year mark along with other companions so I'm well versed in long term.

Currently I'm really craving a sort of forbidden or even planned love story set in alternate victorian time centred around a vampire ball of sorts where the secretly pick out their next human companion for however long their lifespan should last, it's a fling and something uninteresting for a vampire as old as (Muse A) they're tired of having their heart broken, bleak from centuries of seeing person after person being chosen and boring, though in the classic love story manner they stumble across a girl (Muse B) at this next arranged ball by their aunt who catches their breath away, they go up willing to talk and lure them into their 'trap' though, after a few moments of what seems like the perfect introduction and a lead of dramatic emotional out to the balcony, the girl punches them in the face through the mask, grabs the pocket watch from their clothing and jumps over the balcony landing on the ground and running off with a smirk, a common theif- the next in line to be the ruler of blood drinkers…. Had fallen head over heels for a peasant girl.

This plot had plenty of potential for change, maybe it was meant to be an all vampire ball? Time period? Setting? Creature? etcetera.

Anyhow, hope I didn't bore you with that long introduction and I hope you get back to me!! :3 -pika

Hey!

I'd love to chat about potentially writing together. I'm late 20s, EST and I post pretty frequently and they usually are of decent size (minimum 3-4 paragraphs). I can send you a writing sample in a message if you'd like.

Sounds like we'd be a good fit. At the very least, fairly similar in terms of experience and what/who we're looking for, except I'm not terribly into Sci-Fi and our time zones are just ever so slightly off. But I'm sure we'll find a way to make it work. ;)

Here's the most recent piece I've written. It may be slightly stylistically different from what I usually cook up, so if you need a more straightforward sample, just give me a heads up.

Plot-wise, I haven't got anything specific, although the thread I linked above is technically a prompt. I'm very much open to doing something else, though. Demons suddenly stranded on earth after they've fulfilled their contracts, maybe? How about representatives of the Seelie and Unseelie Courts venturing out into the human world after the Faerie Queen and King mysteriously disappear? Maybe something about mirror worlds, or doomsday prophecies threatening to become something beyond conspiracy. Anything goes.

Hi there!
I’ve been looking for an RP partner with the same criteria that you have listed and am very excited to have come across this post! I think that we would be a great fit and be able to develop an even better story.

I love fantasy and sci-fi, have years of writing experience and RPing experience also. I am, however, 22 and AEST, but I am a shift worker so I work very odd hours anyway and rotate onto night shifts frequently; I would be able to RP more frequently with you during these times.

Lately I have been obsessed with the Fae and exploring Seelie and Unseelie Courts, and would absolutely love to have the opportunity of writing a story with you! Either this or anything that you have listed has piqued my interest and I would be keen on.

I can write all kinds of characters along the gender spectrum and all kinds of sexualities. I love developing new and original characters and exploring different personalities and unique traits.

Please send me a private message should you wish to discuss this further,

Alexandra
