An Introduction (If you can call it that)
Hello all. I've been on this site for about a little over a year now. I've been on a bit of a hiatus the past few months for reasons that will remain unknown, but I'm back for now. I like to keep the number of RP's I have going on to a minimum because I like quality over quantity. At this time I'm looking for 2, possibly 3 new writing partners for some 1x1 projects. Before we jump into the details about what exactly I'm looking for, some general information, expectations, and ground rules.
If romance is included, I'm only looking for MxF stories with myself playing the male character. I have nothing against MxM or FxF. I just can't write them for the life of me.
My Style (Or rather, lack thereof)
As you can probably tell at first glance with this post, I'm very simple and straightforward. I don't do any fancy font, no fancy colors, and no pictures. I simply like to write. I know some people like to spice their posts up with GIF's, colorful fonts and all of that. But that's not me and if that's what you're looking for with a partner, you should probably stop reading and move on.
I like to consider myself a semi-advanced to an advanced writer. Like I said in the introduction, quality over quantity. I do make mistakes and if it really bugs you, please point it out and I'll fix it for you. Generally speaking, a standard post from me will have somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 paragraphs. Obviously, there will be times where it's either much more or less than that. But I tend to be descriptive in my scenes. If wanted, I can provide writing samples upon request.
My Expectations (Meet them? Exceed them? Whatever I expect of you, you can, in turn, expect of me)
- I'm looking for semi-advanced, to advanced writers only at this time. If you consider yourself below semi-advanced and would like to improve your writing style, also please feel free to message me.
- Please try to post at least once or twice per week. If you're unable to meet this requirement due to some unforeseen circumstances, feel free to message me about the delay. Just so I know you're still interested.
- I'm a firm believer that you get as much out of an RP as you put into it. That being said, do not expect me to pull all the weight. This is a team effort. We're partners. Feel free to share plot/character ideas. But don't expect me to pull all the weight. We build the story and characters together. Don't freeload.
- I do not double. I've done it before and found that people have a tendency too much of the time to concentrate on one character set over another. Best to keep it simple.
Rules (These are not meant to be broken maybe bent just a smidge)
- Nobody under 18, please and thank you. I'm an old(ish) fart and my wife just plucked out my first grey hair. For my own sanity, please be 18+.
- All RPs are to be done on the RPNation Site. Preferably through PM's, but I will do threads if you insist. If you can be convincing, I may allow email. I do have a discord account to stay in touch and plan.
- I have no triggers or subject matter that I really won't write. Many times, my writing tends to explore the darker aspects of life. If you have any triggers or anything you do not like to write about, it is your responsibility to bring it up. Since this is an 18+ search, we're all adults here.
- Please include your favorite ice cream flavor in your PM as proof that you read through this.
