Hey there! My name is Anna, and I am looking for some new RP partners. I have a few lists of different plots that I'd like to try in the sections below, and if they are crossed out, I am already currently doing them!
Some important things:
- When it comes to where I like to do roleplays, I typically enjoy using Discord the most. It's so organized and easy to use! If you don't use Discord, I'd be happy to discuss doing it somewhere else.
- I really only like to do MxF roles, and I generally like playing the female, but we can discuss that if you'd like to switch it up.
- My responses tend to be between 1-2 paragraphs, but it really depends on how much my partner is giving me. I do not like any one liners, though.
- I am perfectly fine with dark themes in the roles, and have done things along the lines of gangs, street fighting, assassins, etc.
- As I said above, I generally like for there to be romance in my roles. I tend to like a lot of romance-- it doesn't have to be the focus of the roles, but I definitely like for it to have an impact on the plot! I love those hot & heated moments.

Please, please, please do not start a role with me if you are the type of person to simply stop responding when you get bored. I don't mean to sound mean, I am just so tired of putting my energy into roles and just being left in the dark. I will always tell you if I'd like to switch things up, so please give me the same courtesy!

We Don't Quite Fit (Based off of the Divergent series) *********
We live in a society where there are five factions:
Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), Erudite (the intelligent), Abnegation (the selfless), and Candor (the honest)
Before the age of 18, everyone is tested and told which faction they would fit in the best with-- however, the final choice is always yours. When the 18 year old mark is hit, it is time to pick which faction you want to live in for the remainder of your days. MC was born into the Erudite faction. When MC is tested, the test reads inconclusive, which means that they are divergent. For the last few years, there has been an overarching order to kill any divergents that are found in the factions, so when MC's test results appear, MC is quickly rushed out and told not to tell anyone about their results. YC is a high ranking member of the Dauntless faction, and is one of the leaders who is in charge of testing the new recruits to see if they belong. YC is also divergent, which is why he has never accepted the offer to be on the council-- he knows that if he is found out, he will be killed-- When the time comes for MC to choose their faction, they choose Dauntless.
Immediately after the ceremony, the new recruits are taken to their faction and testing begins. YC is tough, and he doesn't make it a priority to become "friends" with the recruits. He doesn't say much, and he doesn't allow for very many mistakes. Somehow, MC's bravery and determination sparks an interest for YC, and romance follows suit.
Mystery Love ***DEFINITION: [Pronounced: Dawn-t-less] Fearless, undaunted. Courageously resolute, especially in the face of danger or difficulty; not discouraged. Undaunted: resolute, especially in the face of danger. Note: Being fearless and being undaunted are two different things.
HISTORY: Dauntless was a faction formed by those who blamed cowardice for society's problems. The only answer is to face your fears and find bravery.
TRAITS: Loud, expressive. Bravery, courage, fighting and physical skills. In charge of security, their primary purpose is to guard the fence that surrounds the city. They began guarding the fence five years prior. Before that they patrolled the factionless sector.
PHYSICAL TRAITS: All-black clothes, tattoos, piercings, unnatural hair colours.
DAUNTLESS INITIATION: Taken very seriously. Transfer initiates have to jump out of the moving train that is transporting them to Dauntless HQ, & onto the roof of a building. They must then jump off a seven-story building without knowing what lies at the bottom.
The initiates are separated during the first stage of initiation. The Dauntless born are trained by Lauren, and the transfers are trained by YC and Eric. Initiates all sleep in one room (girls & boys). 3 stages of initiation:
1. Physical- initiates learn how to fight and are pitted against each other to prove what they have learned. Scored based on their victories and losses.
2. Emotional- initiates are put into a simulation where they face their fears. They are not aware it is only a simulation, and have to calm themselves to get out. (The Divergent seem to have a knack for this stage, as they are aware it is not real.)
3. Mental- initiates are put into their fear landscapes, which reaches for every fear within the person subjected to it and creates a simulation in which they must face each one. This time, they are aware that it is not real. Those not in the top 5 of each initiation class typically end up as guards. Those not in the top 10 end up factionless.
RANDOM FACTS: Only faction to use the train. Muffins and toast for breakfast.
RELATIONS: On neutral terms with all factions.
MC is famous and has been receiving threatening letters/messages online as of late. YC is a popular club bouncer, who gets a chance at the big leagues when they get a call from one of MC’s representatives to be MC’s personal bodyguard. Upon first meeting, there is a distinct physical attraction between MC and YC, but professional boundaries are set clearly within a contract. In the first few weeks of YC's employment, they shadow MC every where possible and despite being there at MC’s request, MC begins to feel suffocated. They can’t have a personal life if YC is constantly with them, lurking over their shoulder or in the next room. The only way that MC can think of to get around this issue is to set up an online dating profile under a pseudonym, of course, so that they might meet someone without YC and the rest of the world interfering. YC also has trouble in their personal life, never having free time to date because they’re watching MC 24/7. YC sets up an online profile as well, unbeknownst to MC. MC and YC find each other online through their compatible interests and begin to chat, not knowing that they’re talking to each other in real life.
Coffee and Comfort
MC is a college student, reeling from a bad breakup/stressing over midterms/(etc.). Drowning their sorrows/worries at the campus coffee shop one night, MC encounters their professor, YC. YC is looking for an outlet to plug in their laptop and MC offers the one beside their table. YC joins MC for a coffee and they exchange small talk as YC grades coursework. As the evening progresses, the conversation continues and by the time the cafe is ready for closing, the pair is left with a desire to keep the conversation going. Feeling it inappropriate to “hang out” together off-campus, MC and YC make unofficial plans to continue their chat at the cafe the following night. MC and YC have such deep/meaningful/enjoyable conversations that they resolve to start meeting each other to talk once a week.
Gradually, an attraction develops between the pair and they cautiously embark on a relationship. The pair must keep their affairs secret because of potential repercussions for them both.
Road Trip
Although in different majors, MC and YC met in August in the campus lounge and the attraction was instant and passionate, the two immediately hitting it off. They’ve been seeing each other when time allows during the fall and spring semesters, but their heavy course loads and conflicting schedules have made it unfortunately difficult to do so. Even in spite of their dedication and desire to be together, this has created an immense strain on the pair. MC and YC have decided together to come up with a plan intended to strengthen their relationship, and instead of returning to their respective homes, they choose to spend the summer driving across the country together. It sounds like the perfect way to reconnect and dissolve some of the tension and frustration that has built up during the semesters. They map out their route and agree to share driving and navigation duties. The first destination is a place that MC has always wanted to visit and the second destination is a place YC always wanted to visit, including many stops both think could be interesting along the way. The weeks together are truly a test of their patience, suddenly learning about each other’s previously unknown quirks and habits, but it also provides the two the opportunity to bond in a manner they simply couldn’t make the time for during the semester. Will MC and YC come out of the road trip inseparable, or will the close quarters tear them apart?
New Message!
YC and MC are both social media bloggers; YC blog is more popular than MC currently, having amassed a following of 100,000+ loyal fans. Every once in a while followers that MC and YC have in common will link YC to a video/blog post made by MC and YC’ll leave a nice comment or encourage their own subscribers/followers to check the post out, resulting in MC’s views and follower number blowing up. MC is pleasantly surprised one day to discover that their following has nearly doubled overnight, probably because of YC’s simple support. Figuring that it’s about time to say ‘thanks’, MC sends a private message to YC, introducing themselves officially and expressing their gratitude. Within a few hours, YC sends back a response. From then on, MC and YC start inboxing one another on a regular basis.
Reality Romance
MC is fresh out of school and isn’t quite sure what they want to do with their life next. Before they can start shopping their resume around, they get a call from the casting department at a major TV network. MC almost forgot about the impromptu audition tape that they made for a Real World-esque reality TV show several weeks ago. To their surprise, they’ve been chosen to be a cast member! With no obligations holding them back, they pack their bags and fly out to the house where they’ll be living with 6 other people for the summer. YC is one of their cast mates—the first person MC meets upon arriving at the house. With a little coaxing from production, it isn’t long before MC and YC are in a full-blown show-mance: cuddling in the common areas of the house, kissing in the confessional booth, fighting about the other flirting with someone else at the club and so on. Overall, the experience is a blast for MC and the relationship with YC is fun, but it’s nothing MC anticipates to last once the show is over. Everyone parts ways when the show wraps at the end of summer, including the house’s it-couple. Once taping ends, the fans of the show refuse to let their romance dissipate, and the two decide to give it a shot in real life, just to please the people who will not stop tweeting their ship name.
Semester Abroad
MC has been studying abroad for their last semester of college and it’s finally the second to last day before everyone flies back home for graduation. MC meets up with a group of classmates for drinks before everyone must pack up and return to the states. While out at a bar/party, MC encounters YC, a charming local. MC and YC feel an instant chemistry between them. They talk for hours, even long after the rest of MC’s classmates have moved on to another location. Though MC is leaving in 24 hours, YC promises to show MC a time they will never forget if they spend the following day with them. Thinking it might be exhilarating to soak in the foreign city with an attractive native, MC agrees to spend the entire day with YC before they have to depart. The next day, YC is true to their word and shows MC an amazing time. Feelings blossom quickly. When the sun sets, neither one wants to part from the other, so they spend the night together too, eventually falling asleep in each other’s arms. On the morning of MC’s flight home, MC realizes that they’re not ready to leave yet. Despite the inevitable backlash they’ll face from their parents for blowing off graduation and the possibility that the spark between MC and YC will fizzle over time, MC purposely miss their flight to take a chance on a summer romance with YC.
Brave With You
MC lives in an abusive environment. For years, MC has kept what goes on behind closed doors a secret, for fear of what their abuser might do if anyone found out. One night, the chaos and the fear become too much to bear alone any more. When there’s an opportunity, MC escapes with no plan of returning. MC runs straight to YC (their former flame) and confesses everything that’s been taking place, begging to stay with them until they can figure out what to do next. YC promises to keep MC safe no matter what, and that they’ll figure out what to do in the morning. Relieved and grateful for YC’s comforting, MC spontaneously kisses YC. Though surprised, YC doesn’t pull away.
Million Dollar Wedding
MC and YC have just been cast to participate in the most popular game show on TV. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, since the prizes are always amazing for anyone who finishes the game. And the premise is simple, it’s a live version of Truth or Dare; all MC and YC have to do is complete all of the rounds! Simple enough, or so they both think until the final round. A million dollar prize is offered if MC agrees to exchange wedding vows with the mysterious YC, whose identity is concealed behind a silhouetted curtain. The condition is that MC and YC must stay married for one full year to keep the money. Young and in a considerable amount of debt, MC and YC go for it and agree to get hitched on live TV. When the curtain is pulled back, MC’s face falls in shock. YC is all too familiar. MC has vivid memories of YC bullying them in school, years ago. YC doesn’t recognize MC right away, but senses that MC isn’t happy to see them. The wedding proceeds and after the show’s over, MC and YC must work through their issues if they want to keep that million dollar prize. Along the bumpy road of getting to know each other again, the pair realize that they’ve both changed a lot since high school. But have they both changed enough for real feelings to develop?
Age is But a Number
MC is young and naïve, always looking for trouble. They finally find it with YC, an older, cooler type that they encounter somewhere they have no business being with their fake ID. YC is attracted to MC on a physical level, but once MCs age reveals itself, YC lays down the harsh truth: they’re not interested in anything beyond a one night stand and they’re definitely not what MC needs (and vice versa). Reluctant to let the opportunity to be with YC slip away, MC convinces YC to take them home. Lust clouds YC’s judgment and they let MC spend the night. In the heat of the moment, when the chemistry is so obviously there YC says all the things MC wants to hear. Once it’s all over, however, YC’s attitude toward MC hasn’t changed–but MC doesn’t believe it’s a hopeless cause. Much to YC’s dismay, MC starts coming around to their place, hanging with their friends, finding little ways to push into their life in the hopes of showing YC how good they’d be together despite their difference in age. YC insists that their relationship will never be; yet YC can’t help sending mixed signals when they continue to fall into bed with MC.
Dinner is Served
MC is in a committed relationship. MC loves their significant other dearly, but in the last couple of months, their spark has definitely fizzled out. Uncertain that they will find what they’re looking for if they break things off with their partner, MC tries their best to subtly improve the intimacy in their relationship; unfortunately, their partner sees nothing wrong with the conventional way they do things, so nothing changes. One night, MC's significant other makes plans with an old friend from school–a double date for dinner. YC knew MC lover in high school; they were close friends until one of them moved across the country for college. The couples meet at a fancy restaurant and the old friends catch up over drinks and appetizers. The whole while, MC can’t help but notice that their lover’s old friend is making eyes at them across the table. Thrilled by the idea that another person finds them desirable, when their own partner hardly seems to anymore, MC makes a bold move–sliding their foot against YC's leg beneath the table. The seductive act is received by YC with a subtle smirk and a light nod of approval. By the time entrees are served, MC and YC manage to slip out of the restaurant for a quick encounter. They make their way back to the table and act as normally as possible, adrenaline pumping through their veins over the bad thing they’ve done and can’t wait to do again. Plans are eagerly made for another dinner date while MC and YC are already thinking of how they can raise the stakes.

Guardian Angel
MC and YC are soulmates. They’ve grown up in the same city all of their lives and despite crossing paths several times, they have not met one another; they’ve continuously missed the other by a matter of seconds every time. One fateful morning, MC and YC happen to arrive in one another’s vicinity. YC spots MC from across the street just as MC is entering into the path of a speeding vehicle. Without thinking, YC rushes across the street and takes the brunt of the oncoming car to save MC’s life. MC is badly shaken from witnessing the accident and gets ushered away from YC before they can see the other’s face. Tragically, YC passes away while MC is being questioned by police. One week later, MC attends YC’s funeral to pay respects after learning their savior’s identity through the police report. When MC is about to leave the cemetery, they encounter someone who feels eerily familiar, though MC’s never seen them before. YC isn’t sure how it’s possible still, but they’re certain that they’ve been sent back to look after MC until MC draws their last breath. YC does their best to explain this to MC, who seems to be the only one who can hear or see them and their angelic set of wings.
Let's Go, Princess
MC is a princess living in a peaceful kingdom, with no knowledge of the whole other realm that exists beyond its borders. While wandering in the forest near dusk, much to their escort’s dismay, the kingdom comes under attack by creatures/beings thought only to exist in fairytales and ancient legends. When a rider comes to warn MC that the castle has been taken, they are beseeched to flee to safety. Fearing for their parents’ lives, MC refuses to run away and makes haste back to the castle. Before they can reunite with their royal parents, MC is captured by the enemy. YC is MC’s captor, who is under orders from their king/queen to kidnap the princess for the purposes of ransom. MC is taken to the other realm, where no person in the kingdom has ever gone. MC is locked up in a cell with YC as their guard.
Despite the circumstances, YC treats MC with compassion, providing companionship, kind words and extra sustenance. After a few days of captivity, MC and YC are managing to get along; MC is terribly homesick and worried about the state of their kingdom. In an act of selflessness, YC helps MC escape. YC promises to keep MC safe from harm, as long as MC does not run away from them. MC agrees and YC keeps their promise. One night, while they’re asleep in the forest, soldiers from MC’s fallen kingdom attack. They rescue MC and take YC as prisoner. Upon returning to the castle, MC is imprisoned. Feeling for their captor/turned savior, MC shows YC the same compassion and care that YC showed them while they were imprisoned.
Shift
While driving home on a quiet backstreet, YC spots a wounded animal on the side of the road. Having a soft spot for suffering creatures, YC pulls over and scoops the animal up into the backseat of their car. YC drives home with the good intention of nursing the poor animal back to health, unaware that the animal (MC) is really a shapeshifter. After making a comfortable place for MC to sleep, YC heads off to bed. By morning, MC is feeling a bit better and they shift back into their human form just as YC enters the room to check up on them. MC tries their best to explain what’s going on without terrifying YC. According to shapeshifter law, MC now owes YC their loyalty and must stay with them until the debt is repaid.
Pirates Attack ***
MC is the child of wealthy man living in a seaside town; they’ve always been afraid of the sea, yet oddly fascinated by it. When MC was a child, the ship they were sailing on was attacked by pirates and they were barely able to escape. Although the lure of the sea has always been there, MC has since refused to ever board another ship. Several years after their brush with pirates, in the dead of night, a suspicious ship sets anchor a little ways away from shore. Pirates make landfall and begin to pillage and plunder the town. The militia stationed in the town are quick to react and a fierce battle breaks out. With the perfect distraction created, the captain of the ship, YC, heads for the most opulent-looking manor.
YC breaks in to MC’s home and begins to raid MC’s late mother’s jewelry. In an attempt to stop YC, MC steals one of their father’s swords and holds the pirate at sword point. Since MC has never had any kind of training, they are easily overpowered by YC. Upon taking a closer look at MC, YC decides that they are worth far more than any bejeweled trinkets. So YC offers a proposition; in exchange for ending the bloodshed and leaving port, MC must come aboard YC’s ship as a captive. MC is terrified, but they are kind-hearted and wish to protect their town, so they reluctantly agree. So now MC must face their fears and leave their life behind. How will they fare and what will their relationship be like with YC?

Intelligent Life
Several years of diplomatic communications with extraterrestrial beings have culminated in peace between aliens and humans. With no imminent threat of harm, earthly life continues as usual and the existence of aliens is no longer something to fear but something to be excited about. Aliens and humans have agreed to work together for the betterment of both worlds; aliens are granted access to natural resources on earth that they cannot find on their own planet, and in exchange they offer earth access to advanced technologies that even the brightest humans could not conceive. The aliens are sending a troop of their kind to earth on the first ever collection mission this evening. Government officials will meet them at the designated landing site and one lucky civilian, chosen by a lottery drawing, will be invited. MC is this lucky civilian who has won the privilege of hosting an alien ambassador in their home for the duration of the extraterrestrials’ visit. MC will be compensated monetarily and also have bragging rights over a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. YC, the alien ambassador who will stay in MC’s home, is charged with the task of learning about modern earth culture and seeing how far humanity has advanced in the last few decades.
Who will learn more from whom?
Side note: The aliens can mimic the appearance of humans nearly perfectly due to an ability to shift the structure of their DNA at will.
Are You The One?
In a future world where human beings no longer have the ability to reproduce without the aid of scientific engineering (due to decades of exposure to harsh environmental pollutants and secret government initiatives to stave off the population to preserve resources), the kiss has become the highest form of physical intimacy. Kisses are reserved for your Cherished One–a mate who is assigned by a local agency based on extensive compatibility evaluations given when someone reaches the age of 18. Embracing someone who is not your Cherished One in this special way is a crime punishable by law, with serious repercussions for both people caught in the act. Those who are caught betraying their Cherised One can be sent to an interment facility for varying amounts of time depending on the severity of the ‘offense’ and may forfeit their right to participate in an annual lottery that decides which couples will be permitted to bear children through in vitro means. There are couples who are rumored to have defied the law and abandoned their Cherished One for another, but little is known of ‘the Disgraced’ as they are called because they must live apart from society in order to avoid the reach of the authorities. MC and YC have just taken their compatibility evaluations.
Artificial Affection ***
It’s the year 2050 and technology has advanced by leaps and bounds, exceeding the vision and capabilities of countless scientists from previous decades. Artificial Intelligence is the buzz word on the lips on government officials as well as the everyday citizen. Robots have become part of daily life; delivering mail, performing home cleaning services, automating the task of driving a car and so much more. In this new era, artificially intelligent beings serve the purpose of making human life easier and more pleasurable. YC is a lonely beta tester, whose primary job is to test run androids (robots with human appearance) before they are shipped out for sale to the public. YC isn’t the best at social relationships, so they much prefer to spend time with androids who can communicate and interact without judgment or need of social convention. When YC is asked to test a new android prototype (MC), YC is amazed at how advanced MC is. MC seems unique, learning at a pace more rapid than their predecessors, able to somehow intuit feelings of the user, gradually able to mirror human emotions: anger, sorrow, even love. As YC continues to “test” MC, the pair become attached to one another. Every day that goes by with YC noting the android’s progress, MC begins to feel more and more..human.
Stuck on Earth
When MC purchases a new home, they are quick to dismiss rumors of the residence being haunted. Even when the realtor declines to give them a guided walkthrough of the property because of strange occurrences the last time they showed the listing, MC just laughs it off as a silly joke. Everything weird that happens from the move-in day has a perfectly logical explanation as far as MC is concerned. When the lights flicker, MC chalks it up to faulty wiring. When a door slams, it’s obviously because of a draft. When their keys aren’t where they left them, it’s probably because they have a poor memory. MC is a firm believer in everything having a logical explanation; they definitely don’t believe in ghosts or anything of a supernatural nature.
For years, YC, a poltergeist, has been trying to make contact with the living inhabitants of their home with unfavorable results. Typically, when YC’s done all they can to make their presence known to someone, making noises and moving items throughout the home, they end up scaring them off without intending to. Being stuck on this plane with no idea how to move on, unable to be seen or heard, is endlessly frustrating. YC is desperate to make a viable connection with MC who doesn’t seem so easy to frighten. After many failed trials, YC attempts to tap into MC’s mind while MC is asleep. If YC can meet MC in a dream, maybe they can convince MC that they exist and ask for help.
Elemental
MC is coming of age in their magical family. On their 18th birthday, they learn what element (water, air, earth, or fire) they have been gifted with. MC has been under the impression and hope that they will have inherited the same element that their parents and grandparents have been blessed with, however they come to discover that they have been bestowed with the opposite element. According to rules set forth in the family’s grimoire, MC must learn to master their gift from a witch/warlock who possesses the same elemental power as they do. YC, who has the same element as MC, becomes MC’s reluctant mentor. YC is brilliant and powerful, but lacks in the department of manners and compassion, especially when MC shows difficulty harnessing their new abilities. YC is condescending and impatient often without provocation. One day, MC meets their wit’s end with YC’s treatment and they demand to know why YC is so hostile toward them. YC reveals that they come from rival families and they are only teaching MC due to the terms of a 1,000 year old truce. Once MC has mastered their gift, however, the ceasefire will be over. And the families will once again be at odds.
Dark and Handsome ***
MC is a paranormal enthusiast. They spend hours researching and analyzing data that other investigators have collected, yearning to one day conduct an investigation of their own. Right before Halloween, the opportunity arises not too far from MC’s hometown to join other amateur paranormal investigators on a hunt, and absolutely nothing can keep MC from purchasing their ticket.
The event location is a well-known building that YC had been sneaking into for years, the long abandoned county psychiatric hospital. Although the structure has been empty of cases, doctors and administration for nearly thirty years, most local residents insist that the spirits of the patients, homeless, criminally insane, and terminally ill still reside there. YC figures why not get a ticket for the ghost hunt, and see if they can validate the strange experiences they’ve had in the past.
On the night of the investigation, MC and YC both show up to the county psychiatric hospital. Most participants are there in pairs. The event organizers insist no one work alone, so they pair up MC and YC for the evening.
Will the impromptu team find success and capture the evidence they’ve both been hoping for, or will they simply be left in the dark?
How'd You Know?
YC is driving on a dark road in the middle of the night, trying to get home before an impending thunderstorm. They peek up in the rearview mirror briefly, out of habit, though there’s no one behind them. When YC’s eyes return to the road, they have to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting the human figure suddenly standing in the path of their vehicle. YC shifts into ‘park’ as calmly as possible and gets out of the car to make sure that the person standing in the road is alright. MC is quiet and staring off into space, but otherwise they seemed unharmed. Worried, YC insists that MC get in the car so they can be taken to the hospital. YC figures that MC must be in shock; they’re certainly shaken up. MC says nothing, but follows YC to the car and gets in. YC proceeds to drive straight on the road, sitting in silence with their eerily quiet companion. After a few minutes, MC murmurs that YC needs to “turn left”. YC is caught off guard, but they know that the hospital isn’t that way so they explain that they’re going to keep driving straight. As they draw near exit on the left, MC reaches over and yanks the wheel hard to force YC off the road and down the off ramp. Panicked because they could’ve been in a wreck, YC regains control of the car and demands an explanation. MC sits back in their seat calmly replying that they would have been in a terrible accident if they didn’t turn then. YC thinks that MC is crazy and swears that once they reach the hospital (via local streets) they’ll get as far away from MC as possible. When they arrive at the hospital, YC escorts MC in, though MC is resisting. YC struggles a bit to get MC inside, but the news story playing on the waiting room TV catches their attention before they can reach the nurse’s station. Sure enough, there’s a breaking news bulletin about a turned over truck and a massive fire on the road that YC was determined to take.
Hot and Bothered ***
MC hasn’t had the best of luck in life thus far. Despite their efforts at (becoming wealthy, getting the girl/guy of their dreams, insert MC’s greatest desire here), it seems as if everything they want is always just outside of their reach. MC is in a slump and they don’t know how to get out of it. While cleaning out their house’s basement, MC finds an old book with weird symbols in it and text that seems to be written in Latin. MC dusts it off a bit and shows it to a friend to see what they think of it. When they discover that it’s a spell book, MC’s friend dares them to do one of the rituals. What’s the harm? It’s probably fake, they both figure. Assuming the ritual won’t work anyway, MC accepts the dare, gathers the required ingredients and performs it. When nothing happens, MC and their friend have a good laugh and the friend leaves. When MC begins to clear the ritual space, they’re greeted by YC, the demon that they’ve summoned. YC explains that they have the ability to possess the body of other human beings in order to manipulate their thoughts and actions so that they submit to MC’s will. Upon signing a contract in blood, YC will be bound in service to MC until MC can no longer honor the terms of the contract. It is unclear what will happen if the contract is ever broken. Desperate to change their circumstances, MC is hasty to sign the contract and start making some demands. For every possession that YC is asked to complete, a sacrifice is required. Fresh blood. At first YC only requires a few drops of blood from MC. But gradually the demon requires more. The longer YC is around to perform tasks for MC, the stronger the demon’s blood lust grows and the greater the sacrifices must become to satiate YC. When the demon requests a human sacrifice, MC refuses. As close as they are to having their perfect life, that’s a line that they’re unwilling to cross. This refusal breaks their contract and YC is free to roam and wreak havoc on the unsuspecting-- but neither of them knew what would come of their relationship in the future.
